THE GOODYEAR WRANGLER SR-A TIRES HAVE ALL STARTED TO DRY ROT AND BECAUSE OF THAT THE VEHICLE HAS HAD 2 FLAT TIRES IN 3 DAYS. THE TIRES ARE 2 YEARS OLD AND NO WHERE NEAR THE 50,000 MILE TREAD LIFE. SO 2 TIMES IN 3 DAYS WE WHERE DRIVING AND WE HAVE GOTTEN A FLAT THANKFULLY NOT A BLOW OUT BUT THESE TIRES ARE JUNK AND NEED TO BE RECALLED.
RIMS WILL COLLECT MUD, DIRT, SNOW AND BECOME SEVERELY OUT OF BALANCE. LIVING ON A GRAVEL/DIRT ROAD MAKES THIS A RE-OCCURRING. REQUIRING THE INSIDE OF THE RIMS TO BE WASHED OUT. NEVER IN 54 YEARS OF DRIVING HAVE I OWNED A VEHICLE WITH THIS PROBLEM. IT MAKES THE VEHICLE UNSAFE TO DRIVE UNTIL THE RIMS IS WASHED OUT.
AS I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT TURNED ON INDICATING THAT THE FRONT LEFT TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR WAS NOT FUNCTIONING AND NEEDED TO BE SERVICED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL NOISE COMING FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THIS FAILURE RECURRED TWICE WHILE DRIVING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS A ROCK IN THE TIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000.
2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE CAME WITH OEM GOODYEAR FORTERA HL 265/50R20 TIRES. THE TIRES HAD ONLY 15K MILES AND WERE INADEQUATE DURING EVEN SMALL AMOUNTS OF RAIN OR SNOW. THE CAR WAS CONSTANTLY LOSING GRIP ON THE ROAD EVENTUALLY LEADING TO ME CRASHING INTO A POLE GOING 20 MPH CAUSING $17K IN DAMAGE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE EQUIPPED WITH PIRELLI SCORPION ALL SEASON RUN FLAT TIRES (NA), SIZE 295/45/20R 110W (NA). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDE TIRES EXPERIENCED EXCESSIVE WEAR, WHICH CAUSED DIPS TO DEVELOP ON THE TREAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIRES NEEDED TO BE ROTATED. THE TIRE ROTATION WAS PERFORMED; HOWEVER, THE TIRES CONTINUED TO WEAR EXCESSIVELY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, WHO AFTER AN INVESTIGATION DETERMINED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INHERENT TO THE VEHICLE. THE TIRES WERE REPLACED. THE TIRE AND VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,000.
