Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)The rear sub frame suddenly broke (rusted out) There was a known recall for 2008-2012 Jeep Patriot's, but not 2013 [XXX] I have Photos, but the form wouldn't let me upload them. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
VEHICLE WENT IN ONE WEEK AGO FOR NOISES COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. SUSPENSION WAS REPLACED AT 51000 HIGHWAY MILES. THREE DAYS LATER NOISES RETURNED AND VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT BACK IN TO BE LOOKED AT AGAIN. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL STATED A POSSIBLE ISSUE WITH THE LOWER CONTROL ARM. PART IS CURRENTLY ON BACK ORDER, WAITING TO HAVE PART REACHED. THIS IS MY SECOND JEEP PATRIOT THAT I HAVE OWNED (FIRST WAS A 2008 JEEP PATRIOT) AND BOTH HAD THEIR CONTROL ARMS GO AROUND 50,000 MILES. JEEP NEEDS TO LOOK INTO RECALLING THESE PARTS BECAUSE IT IS APPARENT THAT THEY ARE NOT BUILT FROM QUALITY. THIS MAKES ME CONCERNED AS TO WHAT OTHER PARTS ARE BREAKING DOWN AT SO LITTLE MILEAGE. *TR
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
