Catalytic Converter. Part was recalled on the same engine but cuts off at 2016, however, my 2017 has the exact same engine and exact same issue as the recall issued to prior years. The problem has been confirmed by a dealership and mechanic. I have had a check engine light on to notify me of this error.
Fuel pump has a hard time engaging. Truck will not start after filling gas tank. Also if you hit a bump the radio station in electrical systems go out
Shortly after purchasing my vehicle I was informed that one of my lights had “blown out” but upon further inspection the light still works but is very dim due to a black lense. I recently noticed that the other light is starting to turn black also. My mother has a 2017 jeep renegade and one of hers is also having this issue.
I WENT TO CHANGE THE FOG LIGHT BULBS BUT BOTH FOG LIGHTS HAVE MELTED THE HOUSING AND TURNED THE LENS BROWN. THE BULBS ARE MELTED TO THE HOUSING PREVENTING THE BULB FROM BEING ABLE TO BE REPLACED. IT NEEDS THE WHOLE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY REPLACED.
WHEN I START THE CAR, THE WARNING LIGHT FOR THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT CAME ON. WHEN I CHECKED THE LIGHT IT WAS OUT. THIS HAPPENED AROUND 30000 MILES. AT ABOUT 31000 THE BACKUP LIGHT WARNING LIGHT OUT CAME ON. I WAS UNABLE TO CHECK THE ACCURACY OF THIS. A FEW MONTHS LATER (MOST OF THE TIME THE CAR IS GARAGES AND ONLY GOES ON ROAD TRIPS) THE WARNING LIGHTS STOPPED COMING ON. WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER FOR A RECALL, ALL LIGHTS WERE WORKING AND THE WARNING LIGHTS OFF BUT THE DEALERS COMPUTER SHOWED THE DTRL OUT. THE DAY AFTER I TOOK IT HOME, THE WARNING LIGHT FOR THE DTRL CAME ON AGAIN AND THE DRIVER SIDE LIGHT WAS OUT AGAIN.
WHEN DRIVING, MY INSTRUMENT PANEL SAYS MY LEFT TAIL LIGHT, LEFT BLINKER AND LEFT BRAKE LIGHTS ARE OUT. THEY DO NOT WORK, SO ALL OF THEM WERE REPLACED AND THEY STILL DO NOT WORK. I KNOW THERE IS A RECALL TO FIX THIS, BUT MY VIN IS NOT ON THE RECALL. CAN MY VIN BE ADDED TO THE RECALL? I AM SO AFRAID OF GETTING INTO AN ACCIDENT WHEN I AM TRANSPORTING MY GRANDCHILDREN TO SCHOOL. THE WARNING SYMBOL IS ON ALL THE TIME. THE MESSAGES FLASH TILL I GET UP TO 45 MPH AND WON'T DISPLAY THE SPEED DIGITALLY EVEN THOUGH I TRIED TO ADVANCE TO THE SPEED READOUT, IT WON'T STAY ON THE DISPLAY.
FOG LIGHTS APPEARED BROWN AND BURNED BUT BULBS STILL WORK FINE. NO LONGER CLEAR GLASS. *TR
ENGINE BURNS OIL TO THE POINT TO WHERE IT IS UNSAFE TO OPERATE WITHOUT CONSTANTLY ADDING OIL BETWEEN SCHEDULED OIL CHANGE INTERVALS. THE ENGINE FEELS LIKE IT IS GASPING FOR AIR AFTER COMING TO A HALT AND THEN STARTING AGAIN(STOP SIGN, MAKING A LEFT TURN AFTER YIELDING TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC, ETC.). ADDITIONALLY, THE FOG LIGHT HOUSING ON BOTH SIDES IS COMPLETED BURNED AND MELTED. THIS LEAD ME TO BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A WIRING ISSUE CAUSING TOO MUCH POWER TO GO TO THE BULBS OR THE RECOMMENDED BULBS MAY BE TOO HOT. THE ENGINE ISSUE HAS BEEN ONGOING THROUGH ALL 39,000 MILES ON IT. THE FOG LIGHT HOUSING CONCERN WAS JUST DISCOVERED ON 4/15/2020 HOWEVER I'M SURE THE ISSUE WAS PREVALENT BEFORE HAND. MANY FRIENDS OF MINE WITH THE SAME VEHICLE HAVE ALSO EXPRESSED BOTH AFOREMENTIONED CONCERNS. *TR
I purchased this vehicle used with 6000-ish miles on it, the front passenger brake system had started making a slight noise, somewhat scraping or dragging. When I brought in the car for a tire change or balance, the issue was brought up to me at BIG O Tires in Aurora CO, that an issue of the brake system has a scraping or wear that usually found in a much older vehicle or one with much more mileage. I cannot at this time give the exact explanation of the issue, but I recently had an issue with the front passenger tire with a slow leak, since the tire was replaced the issue with the scraping noise has returned. 2nd Issue: The headlamps have always had a weak beam, not giving a good illumination of the road area ahead of the vehicle even when the weather is clear. It barely reveals the road ahead of me. When it is raining or snowfall, it is extremely poor. I have considered bringing it in for a change in the headlamps to a higher amp or extreme high reflecting blue lamp color that I am encountering in high illumination from oncoming vehicles. But had feared: cost, and that it would not change anything or make other electrical parts of strain to function.
RANDOM LIGHTS COME ON SAYING HEADLIGHT/TAIL LIGHTS/TURN SIGNALS ARE OUT, EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE NOT. HAS BEEN TO LOCAL BODY SHOP X 3 AND JEEP DEALER WHERE PURCHASED X 2 AND HAD 2 BULBS REPLACED BUT PROBLEM KEEPS RECURRING. HAS OCCURRED UPON STARTING THE CAR OR WHILE DRIVING. BEGAN AFTER A BODY REPAIR FROM A MINOR FENDER BENDER ACCIDENT
DASHBOARD LIGHTS AND MIDDLE CONSOLE TURN ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING ON THEIR OWN.
