The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked in the driveway a crack in the front windshield had developed. The contact indicated that the crack was located in the lower section of the passenger side of the front windshield and no objects had made contact with the windshield to cause the crack to occur. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who indicated that the windshield needed to be replaced. The cause of the failure was not determined. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 20,239.
