DRIVING ON ROAD WHEN JEEP VIOLENTLY SHAKES. LOSE CONTROL OVER STEERING AND ENTIRE FRONT END SHAKES. THIS IS KNOWN AS THE DEATH WOBBLE. HAD TO IMMEDIATELY PULL OVER AND TRY NOT TO CRASH. GOT CONTROL OVER VEHICLE, PICKED UP SPEED AGAIN AND THE VIOLENT SHAKE HAPPENED AGAIN. DRIVING WITH CHILDREN IN THE CAR ON A BUSY ROAD THIS IS VERY FRIGHTENING! *TR
VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN FRONT OF A HOUSE . I LEFT THE VEHICLE IN 1ST GEAR THEN SET THE PARKING BRAKE AND TURNED THE WHEELS INTO THE CURB TO PREVENT ROLL BACK AND I GOT OUT OF THE VEHICLE. I WENT INSIDE AND THE VEHICLE ROLLED DOWN A HILL AND INTO A HOUSE. WHEN THE POLICE CAME THEY FOUND IT STILL IN GEAR AND THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS STILL ON . *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HORN WAS NOT WORKING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE HORN CLOCK SPRING HAD NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE HORN SWITCH HARNESS NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
ON THE 2010 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED (LHD) DASHBOARD, THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT FLASHES ON EVERY OTHER MINUTE WITH A CHIME, AN INDICATION THAT THERE IS SOMETHING MALFUNCTIONING OR INTERFERING WITH THE VEHICLE'S AIRBAGS.THIS HAS BEEN A RECURRING ISSUE AND CONCERN FOR MANY 2007 - 2010 JEEP WRANGLER (LHD) OWNERS, INCLUDING MYSELF, AND HAS BEEN SHOWN TIME AND TIME AGAIN TO BE CAUSED BY A FAULTY CLOCKSPRING WITHIN THE VEHICLE'S STEERING WHEEL. THIS FAULTY CLOCKSPRING IS THE CULPRIT FOR POTENTIAL AIRBAG FAILURE IN THE 2010 JEEP WRANGLER (LHD) DURING AN ACCIDENT OR PREMATURE DEPLOYMENT WHEN SIMPLY DRIVING AROUND. DAIMLER CHRYSLER HAS REFUSED TO ADDRESS THE SAFETY CONCERN OF THEIR FAULTY CLOCKSPRING THAT CAN CAUSE FAILURE OF THE VEHICLE'S AIRBAGS FROM PROPERLY DEPLOYING. *JS
I PURCHASED A USED 2010 WRANGLER FROM A CHRYSLER DEALER ON 6/18/2013 WITH 19,XXX MILES AND AFTER ABOUT A MONTH OF DRIVING, THE GAS OVERFLOWS AT THE PUMP EVERY SINGLE TIME I TRY TO FILL THE TANK. AT FIRST, I SET THE PUMP TO AUTOMATICALLY SHUT OFF AND UPON DOING SO, THE GAS CONTINUES TO COME OUT AFTER THE SHUT OFF AND IT SPEWS OUT ONTO THE PAINT, THE GROUND AND MY SHOES - EVERYWHERE. I HAVE TRIED FILLING UP AT DIFFERENT STATIONS AND AT DIFFERENT PUMPS BUT THE PROBLEM CONTINUES. I'M LEFT NO OTHER CHOICE THAN TO NOT FILL UP FOR FEAR OF A POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD AND OF SPILLS COSTING ME MONEY ON WASTED (EXPENSIVE) GAS. ON APPROXIMATELY 13 APRIL 2014, MY 2010 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT WAS COMING ON AND OFF. TURNS OUT TO BE A BAD CLOCK SPRING IN THE STEERING WHEEL. THIS WILL CAUSE THE AIR BAG TO FAIL TO DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT, HOW IS THIS NOT AGAIN A RECALL ISSUE. THEY DID EXTEND WARRANTY ON THIS ON THE 2007'S BUT NOT OTHER YEARS. THE DEALERSHIP IS TELLING ME IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY. TO ME THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS, THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND COULD CAUSE PEOPLE TO DIE IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT. FIND MULTIPLE ISSUES FOR CLOCK SPRING SIGNAL FAILURE. THERE IS ONLY A TSB ISSUED FOR THE RIGHT HAND DRIVE WRANGLERS FROM 2007-2011. THE PART # IS IDENTICAL FOR RIGHT AND LEFT HAND DRIVE VEHICLES. HOW CAN THE RECALL ONLY AFFECT THE RHD? 5440 CARS WERE SUBJECT TO RECALL. HOW MANY LHD WRANGLERS ARE THERE? I NOW HAVE TO PAY $500 +++ TO HAVE A REPAIR DONE THAT MUST BE DONE BY A DEALER. THERE WAS A RECALL UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 13V176000(AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,500.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ALL OF THE BRAKE FLUID LEAKED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN FROM THE DEALER, WHO ADVISED THAT THE ROTORS, BRAKE PADS AND FLUIDS WOULD NEED REPLACING. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES, WHILE DRIVING AT A HIGHER RATER OF SPEED (ANYTHING ABOVE 45MPH) AND GOING AROUND A CURVE, THE FRONT END BEGINS TO VIOLENTLY SHAKE TO THE POINT THAT IT IS DIFFICULT/IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTROL AND YOU MUST PULL OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. AKA THE DEATH WOBBLE. THERE WAS NOT A POT HOLE, OR ANYTHING IN THE WAY, JUST A REGULAR ROAD. I HAVE HAD TO DO THIS ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND ON BUSY HIGHWAYS, NEARLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT AND BEING REAR ENDED SINCE I HAD TO STOP SUDDENLY AND PULL OFF THE ROAD. I HAVE TAKE IT IN A NUMBER OF TIMES WITH THIS PROBLEM AND NO SOLUTION IS FOUND, THEY JUST KEEP WANTING TO ROTATE MY TIRES. *TR

THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE AND DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY TO AVOID FURTHER FIRE DAMAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR FURTHER INSPECTION. WHEN FUELING UP THE GAS TANK THE FILLER TUBE VALVE WILL NOT STOP FUEL FROM OVERFLOWING AND SPILLING ALL OVER THE PLACE. OCCURS EVERY TIME WHEN FILLING UP. *TR
I WAS FUELING THE VEHICLE AND THE FUEL JUST OVERFLOWS OUT OF THE TANK AS THOUGH THERE IS NO STOP. AFTER THE FUEL GUSHES OUT OF THE NECK OF THE GAS TANK. THE ISSUE WAS ONCE A RARE ISSUE BUT NOW OCCURS EVERY SINGLE TIME I FUEL THE VEHICLE. I FEAR THAT THIS MAY BE A FIRE HAZARD AND IT IS CERTAINLY A SAFETY ISSUE WITH FUEL EMERGING FROM THE TANK. IT FIRST OCCURRED IN 2010 WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS NEW BUT IT WAS RARE. THE ISSUE NOW HAPPENS BI-WEEKLY AND HAS HAPPENED WEEKLY SINCE 2011. *TR
WHEN FILLING UP VEHICLE WITH GAS, THE PUMP SHUT OFF WHEN FULL HOWEVER THE FUEL SPLASHED BACK OUT OF THE VEHICLE AND RAN DOWN THE SIDE. *TR
WHILE FILLING UP MY GAS TANK, IT GOT TO FULL THEN SEEMED TO REGURGITATE GAS. SPILLING DOWN THE SIDE OF MY JEEP, ONTO ME, AND ON THE GROUND NEAR THE PUMP. THIS CONCERNS ME BECAUSE OF THE RISK OF FIRE AND EXPLOSION. THE GAS IS HARMFUL TO SKIN AND IT SPILLED ALL OVER ME. I JUST PURCHASED THIS JEEP. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN. *TR
WHEN REFUELING, THE NOZZLE ON THE FUEL PUMP WILL NOT STOP ON TIME, ALLOWING FUEL TO SPLASH BACK AT THE PERSON REFUELING. TODAY, THE NOZZLE DIDN'T STOP AT ALL, ALLOWING A LOT OF FUEL TO SPILL ON THE GROUND. A PERSON DOESN'T HAVE TO FILL IT UP EITHER. IF YOU STOP MID REFILL, IT WILL STILL SPRAY BACK AT THE PERSON REFUELING. *TR
DURING THE MONTH OF 2/2014, THE AIR BAG WARNING CHIME AND LIGHT BEGAN TO GO OFF INTERMITTENTLY. DUE TO THE SAFETY CONCERNS, WE TOOK OUR VEHICLE IN AND LEARNED THAT IT WAS A BAD CLOCK SPRING. WE PAID TO HAVE IT FIXED, BUT UPON RESEARCH LEARNED THAT THE SAME EXACT PART HAD BEEN RECALLED IN RHD VEHICLES (FOR OUR VEHICLE YEAR) ONLY. WOULD LIKE INFORMATION AS TO WHY LHD VEHICLES ARE NOT PART OF THE RECALL WHEN SO MANY PEOPLE ARE OBVIOUSLY EXPERIENCING A SAFETY ISSUE ALSO. *TR
THE CLIP THAT CONNECTS THE FLOOR SHIFTER CABLE TO THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CAME OFF. I WAS STRANDED! HAD MY JEEP TOWED TO AN AUTO REPAIR SHOP THAT RE-INSTALLED THE CLIP THAT WAS NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY AT THE FACTORY. $123.00 LATER. I THINK JEEP OWES ME$123.00. *TR

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT NOW THE DRIVER SIDE WIRELESS KEY ENTRY AND INTERIOR THE ROCKER SWITCH BOTH FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. DURING GAS FILL UP, WHEN THE PUMP AUTOMATICALLY STOPS, FUEL COMES GUSHING OUT OF THE FUEL FILL ALL OVER THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND THE GROUND. *TR
2010 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED - FUEL OVERFLOWS EVERY TIME I FILL UP. IF I FILL THE TANK TO THE AUTO SHUTOFF POINT A FAIR AMOUNT OF FUEL PUKES OUT AND DOWN THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THIS IS A POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD, AND NOT VERY GOOD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. IT HAPPENS AT EVERY GAS STATION - THE ONLY WORK AROUND IS TO NOT FILL THE TANK. *TR
EVERY TIME I GO TO PUMP GAS TO FILL THE TANK UP COMPLETELY, THE PUMP DOES SENSE TO SHUT OFF BUT GAS COMES SPEWING OUT AND DOWN THE SIDE OF THE JEEP. IT IS VERY IRRITATING TO NOT BE ABLE TO FILL IT ENTIRELY, ESPECIALLY SINCE THE JEEP DRINKS GAS PRETTY FAST. NOTHING I CAN DO WILL STOP IT FROM RUNNING OVER, OTHER THAN JUST NOT FILLING IT 100%, WHICH SHOULDN'T EVEN BE AN ISSUE TO BEGIN WITH. I WOULD REALLY LIKE FOR THIS TO BE ADDRESSED. *JS
NUMEROUS TIME OVER THE PAST 3 YEARS I'VE HAD GAS OVERFLOW / SPILL / SPEW OUT FROM WHILE FILLING MY TANK WITH GAS. THIS HAS HAPPENED AT VARIOUS GAS STATIONS AND BOTH USING MANUALLY USING THE GAS TRIGGER OR LOCKING THE GAS TRIGGER. I TOOK THE JEEP TO THE DEALER LAST YEAR AND THEY SAID IT WOULD COST $1200 TO REPLACE THE GAS TANK. FROM THE RESEARCH I HAVE DONE THERE IS ALREADY AN INVESTIGATION INTO THIS MATTER FOR MY SPECIFIC MAKE AND MODEL. *TR
MY HEADLIGHTS CONSTANTLY FAIL AND WILL START TO BLINK ON AND OFF AND STAY OFF!! THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL AND CHRYSLER CAN'T SEEM TO FIX THE ISSUE. THE SAFETY OF DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND HAVING YOUR HEADLIGHTS TURN OFF AND NOT COME BACK IS A HUGE ISSUE AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY. I WOULD HOPE TO THINK THAT SOMEONE WOULD TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO RECTIFY THIS PROBLEM BEFORE SOMEONE GETS SERIOUSLY INJURED!!! *TR
THE PROBLEM HAPPENED 3 TIMES. TWO AT VERY LOW SPEEDS DURING THE DAY, AND ONCE AT NIGHT AT HIGH SPEED. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED, I WAS DRIVING THE JEEP AND THE ENGINE STALLED. IT WAS HARD TO STEER, BUT I WAS MOVING SLOW. I THOUGHT IT WAS A WEIRD FLUKE. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND RESTARTED IT WITH NO PROBLEM. THE SECOND TIME IT MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING, WE HAD JUST PULLED OUT OF OUR NEIGHBORHOOD AND THE JEEP STALLED. THE BREAKS DON'T WORK WELL, AND THE STEERING IS DIFFICULT. HE PUT THE JEEP IN NEUTRAL AND RESTARTED IT WITH NO PROBLEM. THE THIRD TIME IT HAPPENED, WAS ON JANUARY 10, 2015. I WAS DRIVING AT NIGHT WITH MY CHILD ON A LONG TRIP. I HAD BEEN DRIVING THE JEEP FOR SEVERAL HOURS ON THE INTERSTATE. IT HAPPENED AT AROUND 10:00 PM - IT WAS VERY DARK. I WAS IN THE PASSING LANE GOING ABOUT 65 MPH WHEN THE ENGINE STALLED, THE HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT, ALL THE INTERIOR LIGHTS WENT OUT, DASHBOARD WENT DARK, AND I KNEW FROM THE PREVIOUS TWO TIMES, THAT IF I APPLIED THE BREAKS OR TRIED TO STEER, IT WOULD BE VERY DIFFICULT. I DECIDED THAT I DIDN'T WANT TO LOOK DOWN AND TRY TO FIND NEUTRAL AND ACCIDENTALLY PUT IT IN A LOW GEAR. SO I TURNED THE IGNITION SWITCH AND EVERYTHING CAME BACK ON (ENGINE, LIGHT INSIDE AND OUT, POWER STEERING, AND POWER BREAKS) WHILE THE JEEP WAS IN DRIVE TRAVELING AT 65 MPH. I TOOK IT TO THE JEEP DEALER TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. THEY TOLD ME THAT THE TRANS RANGE SENSOR WENT BAD. MY MAIN CONCERN IS - WHY IS THE ENGINE STALLING AND JEEP LOSING ALL POWER WHILE MOVING WHEN THE SENSOR GOES BAD? THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT TO LET ME KNOW A SENSOR WAS BAD. ARE ALL JEEPS DESIGNED WITH THIS SENSOR, AND WILL ALL JEEPS EXPERIENCE THE SAME THING IF THEIR TRANS RANGE SENSOR GOES BAD, OR WAS IT JUST SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED WITH MY SPECIFIC VEHICLE? *TR

AIRBAG LIGHT IS INTERMITTENTLY LIT. MULTIPLE SOURCES AND TROUBLESHOOTING HAVE LED TO THE AIRBAG CLOCKSPRING ASSEMBLY. CHRYSLER HAS A RECALL FOR THIS (13V176000), BUT IT ONLY APPLIES TO RIGHT HAND DRIVE VEHICLES. THERE ARE NUMEROUS LEFT HAND DRIVE VEHICLES THAT HAVE HAD THIS FAILURE. IN SEARCHING FOR THIS PART ONLINE, I FOUND THAT THERE IS NO PART NUMBER DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RIGHT OR LEFT HAND DRIVE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE PER NHTSA STANDARDS. *TR
GAS TANK OVERFILLS NO MATTER WHICH PUMP I USED AT DIFFERENT GAS STATIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW. THIS PROBLEM ONLY HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR THE PASSED 4 MONTHS. *TR
HELLO, MY NAME IS [XXX] AND ON JANUARY 4TH, 2014 I PURCHASED A 2010 JEEP JK WRANGLER FROM A FAMILY FRIEND, UPON THE FIRST 3 TIMES FILLING UP (ALL SO FAR) THE GAS HAS SPEWED OUT OF THE TANK AND ONTO THE GROUND BEFORE I COULD SHUT OFF THE PUMP HANDLE. I'VE PROBABLY WASTED AT LEAST 2 GALLONS ALREADY BY DOING THIS, WHICH ADDS UP QUICK. THIS SEEMS VERY DANGEROUS TO ME, ONE LITTLE SPARK COULD SEND THE VEHICLE UP IN FLAMES AND HARM ME, AND MANY OTHERS. I WAS WONDERING IF THERE WAS ANY TYPE OF WARRANTY TO COVER THIS SO THAT MYSELF, AND OTHERS, DON'T HAVE TO PAY HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TO GET THE PROBLEM FIXED, OR WORRY EVERY TIME WE GO TO THE PUMP. I HAVE A 2010 JEEP JK UNLIMITED 4X4. I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE USED FROM A LOCAL DEALER IN JULY OF 2013, WITH APPROX. 10K MILES ON IT. AT ABOUT 18K MILES, I BEGAN EXPERIENCING THE COMMON DREADED "DEATH WOBBLE". I WAS DRIVING DOWN A COUNTRY ROAD WITH MY CHILDREN IN THE BACK SEATS. ALL OF A SUDDEN, WHILE HITTING A SMALL BUMP IN THE ROAD, THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN RAPIDLY MOVING BACK AND FORTH AND THE FRONTEND OF THE VEHICLE WAS SHAKING VIOLENTLY. I QUICKLY STOPPED THE VEHICLE, CHECKED ON MY NOW FRIGHTENED CHILDREN, THEN GO OUT TO EXAMINE MY VEHICLE. I COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING OBVIOUS, LIKE TIE RODS OR BALL JOINTS. SO, I SLOWLY DROVE HOME. I WENT OVER THE ENTIRE FRONT END. COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING. AFTER READING A LOT OF FORUMS ON THE MATTER, I FOUND I AM ONE OF MANY JEEP OWNERS THAT HAVE/ARE FIGHTING THIS SAME ISSUE. I WENT AHEAD AND PUT ON A NEW STEERING STABILIZER, AND TRACKBARS, AS THESE ARE CLAIMED TO BE THE MOST COMMON ISSUES (EVEN THOUGH MINE LOOKED FINE AND HAD NO PLAY). I CONTINUALLY HAVE HAD THE PROBLEM AND HAVE HAD IT TO SHOP FOR AN ALIGNMENT, TIRE ROTATIONS, AND CHECKING THE BALANCING ON THE TIRES. THE SHOP SAID TIRES AND ALIGNMENT WERE FINE. WE FOUND THAT THERE WAS SOME PLAY IN THE SECTOR SHAFT WHERE THE PITMAN ARM CONNECTS TO THE STEERING GEARBOX. SOME GUYS ARE SAYING THEY HAVE REPLACED THEIRS 3 TIMES IN 30K MILES. I DON'T OFFROAD, MY VEHICLE ISN'T EXPOSED TO HARSH CONDITIONS, WHERE ONE COULD EXPECT MECHANICAL FAILURES. I CURRENTLY HAVE 26K MILES ON MINE, AND HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND OUT THE CAUSE, MEANWHILE THROWING $$ AND PARTS ON IT TO TRY AND FIND THE ISSUE. AFTER RESEARCHING AND SEEING THE LARGE AMOUNT OF OWNERS FIGHTING DEATH WOBBLE AND THE COMPONENT FAILURES WHICH CAUSE IT, I FEEL CHRYSLER SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE TO SOME LEVEL. I THINK THEY SHOULD BE RECOGNIZING THE PROBLEM AND THE LARGE SCALE OF IT, AND OFFERING SOME TYPE OF SOLUTION TO FIX THE ISSUE. *TR
EVERY TIME I FILL MY GAS TANK, IT OVERFILLS. THE FIRST TIME I THOUGHT IT WAS THE GAS PUMP BUT IT HAS DONE IT CONSISTENTLY FOR THE LAST 2 MONTHS. I HAVE FILLED UP AT DIFFERENT STATIONS AND EVERY SINGLE TIME IT SPRAYS OUT ALL OVER THE BODY/REAR BUMPER. *TR
WHILE FUELING, THE AUTO CUT OFF FAILED TO STOP UNTIL THERE WAS AN OVERFLOW OF GAS SPILLING ONTO THE SIDE OF THE CAR AND GROUND. THIS HAS OCCURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. *TR
WHEN FILLING UP THE GAS TANK TO FULL (WHEN THE NOZZLE SHOULD AUTOMATICALLY SHUT OFF), THE GAS WILL OVERFLOW/SPIT OUT FUEL AND SPILL. I'VE TAKEN THIS INTO THE JEEP DEALER TO DETERMINE WHAT THE CAUSE IS. THE DEALER'S DIAGNOSIS OF THE PROBLEM WAS A FAULTY SHUTOFF VALVE WITHIN THE TANK AND TO FIX THIS ISSUE, THE WHOLE TANK WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THIS IS NOT CAUSED BY "USER ERROR". THIS ISSUE IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE WITH JEEP WRANGLERS AS CITED FROM NUMEROUS OTHER COMPLAINTS AND SHOULD BE RECALLED AS SPILLED FUEL POSES A FIRE HAZARD TO THE FUELING STATION, THE VEHICLE, AND THE DRIVER/PASSENGERS. THE GAS WILL OVERFLOW, SPILL OUT, WHEN I FILL UP THE GAS TANK. THE NOZZLE SHUTS OFF AND GAS SPILLS OUT AFTER SHUT OFF. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, THEY DIAGNOSED A BAD VALVE IN THE TANK WHICH WOULD REQUIRE THE TANK TO BE REMOVED/REPLACED. *TR
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT APPROX 45MPH, THE JEEP BEGAN TO SHAKE/JUMP UNCONTROLLABLY FOR NO APPARENT REASON. WE TOOK IT INTO THE JEEP DEALER FROM WHOM WE BOUGHT THE VEHICLE. HE TIGHTENED THE TRACK BAR (??) AND REPLACED THE STEERING STABILIZER. WE EXPLAINED TO HIM THAT WE WERE BEGINNING A CROSS COUNTRY TRIP, SO HE SHOULD CHECK EVERYTHING. A WEEK OR SO LATER, WE BEGAN THE TRIP FROM FLORIDA TO CALIFORNIA. TWO DAYS INTO THE TRIP (EAST TEXAS), WHILE TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, WE EXPERIENCED THE SHAKE AGAIN. WE HAD TO TOP THE VEHICLE AND TOOK IT TO THE NEAREST JEEP DEALERSHIP, DRIVING ON SIDE STREETS AT MINIMAL SPEEDS. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE UPPER AND LOWER BALL JOINTS. THERE WERE ALREADY TWO JEEPS IN THE SHOP WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AND WHILE WE WERE THERE, ANOTHER PERSON CAME IN WITH THE SAME ISSUE. WE THEN CONTINUED OUR TRIP. TWO DAYS LATER, IN CALIFORNIA, WE AGAIN EXPERIENCED THE SHAKE WHILE TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. AGAIN, WE TOOK THE CAR TO A JEEP DEALER WHO SAID WE NEEDED TO REPLACE THE STEERING STABILIZER. WE TOLD HIM IT HAD ALREADY BEEN DONE. HE NOTED THAT THE STABILIZER THAT COMES AS STANDARD EQUIPMENT WITH THE JEEP IS NOT ROBUST ENOUGH AND THAT MOST JEEPS WILL EXPERIENCE THIS PROBLEM IF NOT UPGRADED. WE ALSO REPORTED THIS SEQUENCE OF EVENTS TO JEEP. WE HAVE SINCE RESEARCHED THIS ISSUE ON THE INTERNET AND HAVE FOUND THE PROBLEM IS KNOW AS "DEATH WOBBLE" AND SEEMS TO BE QUITE PREVALENT. *TR
I OWN A 2010 JEEP WRANGLER. WHEN I FILL UP WITH GAS THE AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF FAILS AND HAS SPRAYS OUT OF THE FILLER POINT. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE MULTIPLE TIMES. I DO NOT "TOP OFF" THE FUEL. IT SPRAYS WITH FORCE SHOOTING OUT GAS EVERYWHERE CREATING A SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARD.

I HAVE HAD MY 2010 JEEP WRANGLER FOR NEARLY TWO YEARS, AND RECENTLY THE GAS TANK HAS BEGUN TO BACK UP EVERY TIME I FILL UP THE VEHICLE. I DO NOT TRY TO "TOP-OFF" THE TANK, BUT THE OVERFLOW SENDS FUEL OUT OF THE VEHICLE CREATING EXPOSED GASOLINE RUNNING DOWN THE REAR QUARTER-PANEL & BUMPER. IN SOME CASES, A PUDDLE OF FUEL FORMS CAUSING A SIGNIFICANT RISK TO MY FAMILY, MYSELF AND OTHERS FUELING AT THE STATION. THIS HAS HAPPENED CONSISTENTLY OVER THE PAST TWO MONTHS. I'VE TRIED TO REMEDY THE SITUATION BY TRYING DIFFERENT FUELING STATIONS, PUMPS, AND ALTERNATING BETWEEN MANUAL FILLING & USING THE AUTO FILL LEVER ON THE FUELING NOZZLE TO NO AVAIL. BASED ON MY RESEARCH THIS IS A PERVASIVE ISSUE ON THE 2010 JEEP WRANGLER THAT SHOULD BE ADDRESSED AND REMEDIED PROACTIVELY RATHER THAN WAITING FOR A SERIOUS INCIDENT TO OCCUR. CONTRARY TO CHRYSLER'S RESPONSE OF 'USER ERROR', I HAVE BEEN FUELING DIFFERENT MAKES & MODELS OF VEHICLES FOR OVER 20 YEARS WITHOUT HAVING THIS OCCUR. I URGE THE NHTSA TO FURTHER INVESTIGATE THIS ISSUE. I ENJOY DRIVING MY JEEP, BUT I AM NOW RELUCTANT EVERY TIME I HAVE TO FUEL THE VEHICLE. *TR

2010 JEEP WRANGLER AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON ALSO HORN AND CRUISE CONTROL IS NOT FUNCTIONING BECAUSE OF A BAD CLOCK SPRING. I HAVE BEEN READING ONLINE WHERE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE. *TR

I PURCHASED MY 2010 WRANGLER NEW. THE LAST THREE TIMES I HAVE FILLED MY FUEL TANK, GAS HAS SPEWED OUT OF THE TANK IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE NOZZLE CLICKED OFF. IT SEEMS TO BE COMING FROM A BUILD-UP OF PRESSURE INSIDE OF THE GAS TANK BECAUSE THE GAS COMES BACK OUT OF THE TANK FORCEFULLY EVEN IF THE NOZZLE IS STILL IN THE TANK. THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED TO ME I HAD TO GO HOME TO CHANGE CLOTHES AND TO WASH THE GASOLINE OFF OF MY LEGS. I THOUGHT IT WAS SOMETHING I HAD DONE WRONG. I HAVE SINCE FILLED UP TWO MORE TIMES AND I HAVE USED DIFFERENT PUMPS AT DIFFERENT GAS STATIONS WITH THE SAME RESULT. THIS HAPPENED AGAIN TODAY (01/21/14), AND THE STATION ATTENDANT RUSHED OUT TO CLEAN UP THE FUEL THAT WAS SPILLED BECAUSE THERE WAS SO MUCH ON THE GROUND AND AGAIN, I HAD GAS SPEWED ON ME. I FEEL THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED IN SOME WAY BY CHRYSLER. *TR
