This has been an ongoing problem and I am in fear of these shocks completely failing and encountering control problems with the vehicle.

The rear shocks are faulty and have had problems since I bought it with 36,000 miles.
The rear suspension is incredibly creaky sounding. It constantly makes noise at every slight bump and turn regardless of speed. Kia service admitted there is a known issue with the self levelling shocks on the '23 Tellurides and said I should replace them.
