Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL WAS MAKING A HIGH PITCHED NOSE FOR ALMOST 8 MONTHS. I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. EVENTUALLY THE HIGH PITCHED NOISE TURNED INTO A LOUD GRINDING NOISE AND WAS TOLD THE "OUTSIDE" BRAKE,(WHICH HAS NO SENSOR) HAD BEEN LOCKED IN PLACE AND CAUSED THE BREAKS TO WEAR COMPLETELY DOWN TO METAL ON METAL. THIS REQUIRED ME TO BUY NEW BRAKES FOR BOTH SIDES. IT SEEM TO ME TO BE A MALFUNCTION IN THE CAR BUT THE DEALER SAID IT IS A "WEAR AND TEAR" ITEM SO IT IS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY. IF IT WAS JUST WEAR AND TEAR WHY DID ONLY ONE SIDE WEAR DOWN TO THE METAL AND WHY ISN'T THERE A SENSOR FOR THIS. IT APPEARS TO BE A MALFUNCTION IN THE BRAKING SYSTEM IF THERE TRULY IS NO SENSOR FOR THE "OUTSIDE" BRAKE PAD. *TR
THE BRAKE ROTORS ON MY LAND ROVER BECAME SEVERELY WARPED AT 12,744 MILES. THEY WERE REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY, BUT BRAKE ROTORS SHOULD NOT WARP WITH SO FEW MILES ON THEM. I THINK THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH ALL LAND ROVERS BASED ON COMMENTS FROM THE DEALER. *TR
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
