There are 2 owner-reported visibility & wipers complaints for the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sportin NHTSA's database. These are unverified consumer reports and may not reflect confirmed defects.
THIS VEHICLE WAS DESIGNED WITH A FLAWED WINDSHIELD WIPER CONTROL. THE CAR CANNOT BE DRIVEN WHEN THERE IS SALT ON THE ROAD BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER SNOW AND ICY WET CONDITIONS. THE FLUID LEAVES THE DRIVER SIDE WIPER AT THE END OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE PASSENGER WIPER LEAVES THE FLUID IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINDSHIELD. ON THE RETURN STROKE OF THE WIPER IT PUSHES DOWN THE FLUID LEAVING THE WINDSHIELD STREAKED, WITH NO VISIBILITY TO DRIVE. I ASKED THE DEALERS TO FIX IT AND THEY ARE TELLING ME ITS A DESIGN ISSUE. THE ONLY TIME I CAN USE THE WIPERS, IS WHEN IT RAINS. VISIBILITY IS NO GOOD, IF THE WINDSHIELD IS DIRTY AND YOU TRY TO CLEAN IT USING THE FLUID AND WIPING SYSTEM.
The proprietary wiper blades on my 2024 Range Rover Sport have been replaced 4 times in 6 months due to my inability to see clearly out my windshield during rain. The vehicle has been in two different Land Rover dealerships over the past four months in an attempt to resolve the inability to see clearly out the windshield during rain. The wiper arms have also been replaced but the issue remains unresolved. The New Rochelle, New York Land Rover Dealer has spent hours trying to resolve the issue with no improvement. I filed a complaint with Land Rover North America Customer Service (see attached email) and they said there was nothing they could do. This issue has been ongoing since the car has been purchased and nothing has been resolved to date. No other wiper blades are available for replacement because the wiper blades are only made by Land Rover and therefore are not available anywhere else. No other replacement wiper blades can be installed on my or any other vehicle manufactured by Range Rover.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
