THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 30 MPH AND ATTEMPTING TO STOP WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS ABNORMALLY DEPRESSED INTO THE FLOORBOARD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ALL OF THE LIGHTS ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ILLUMINATED ACCOMPANIED BY A WARNING SIREN, INDICATING A BRAKE MALFUNCTION. THE CONTACT THEN ENGAGED THE SAFETY BRAKE AS THE VEHICLE COASTED IT TO A STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER AND DIAGNOSED AS THE BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS BEING WORN AND A LACK OF BRAKE FLUID.THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HE HAD BEEN KEEPING UP WITH THE RECOMMENDED MAINTENANCE OF THE VEHICLE.
