Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)I WAS GOING NORTH ON COLLIER AVENUE IN NAPLES, FLORIDA STOPPED AT THE INTERSECTION WITH DAVIS AVENUE AT 3 PM WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE WHEN THERE WAS UNINTENDED ACCELERATION. I JAMMED DOWN HARD ON THE BRAKE AND SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL. THE MOTOR REVED UP HARD FOR A SHORT TIME, THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, THE CARS AHEAD PULLED FORWARD, I SHIFTED INTO DRIVE, TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE, AND THE CAR AND ACCELERATOR RETURNED TO NORMAL AND I PROCEEDED FORWARD. EVERYTHING RETURNED TO NORMAL. I AM FAMILIAR WITH UNINTENDED ACCELERATION BECAUSE I EXPERIENCED IT PREVIOUSLY IN MY 1995 (NOT POSITIVE OF EXACT YEAR) AUDI.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
