THE VEHICLE WAS STUCK ON THE LIGHT POLE AND A TOW TRUCK PULLED THE VEHICLE OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE DRIVEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND WAS NOT DIAGNOSED; HOWEVER, THE BODY DAMAGE WAS REPAIRED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER NUMEROUS TIMES FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND THEY REQUESTED A BLACK BOX DATA RECORDER TO BE INSTALLED IN THE VEHICLE. THE DEVICE WAS INSTALLED IN THE VEHICLE AND IT DETECTED A FAILURE WITH THE BRAKES AND THE THROTTLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,195.
