I RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER IN JULY 2016, ALMOST 2 YEARS AGO. I HAVE CONTACTED LINCOLN AND THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED WITH NO RESULTSL WHEN I TAKE IT TO THE DEALER OR CALL THEM, THEY CONTINUALLY SAY THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS. THIS VEHICLE IS OUR PRIMARY CAR AND ONE OF US IS ALWAYS IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. WE ARE BOTH IN OUR 70'S AND DON'T NEED THE STRESS. ALSO, I READ THAT TAKATA HAS FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. DO I NEED TO CONTACT A LAWYER?
TAKATA RECALL. A TIMELY SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN OFFERED. I RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE OVER A YEAR AGO. IT IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE THIS CAR AND ONLY RIGHT THAT A SOLUTION BE AVAILABLE.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
