The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the motherboard control unit was defective due to an unlocated leak. The vehicle was then taken to an auto body shop where it was diagnosed that the failure cause was due to a leak near the front passenger’s side windshield frame that was not welded properly. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 74,000.
