The contact stated while driving approximately 40 MPH, the driver’s side sun visor independently lowered, covering a large section of the driver’s side windshield. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer who diagnosed that there was a failure of the sun visor arm. The replacement part was ordered; however, the vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,400.
