Low beam headlights are so poor that they barely illuminate the roadway when driving at night. I've replaced them with Sylvania Silverstar Max bulbs as well as tried LED bulbs and neither help. Makes the car almost worthless to drive at night due to the limited visibility. It has slowly gotten worse since my purchase of the vehicle in 2016.
RECALL DATE OF AUGUST 10, 2016.I RECEIVED NOTICE FROM MAZDA NORTH AMERICAN OPERATIONS THAT MY CAR IS SUBJECT OF THIS FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARMS. TO DATE JANUARY 11, 2017 I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANOTHER NOTIFICATION FROM MAZDA INFORMING ME THAT REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. I BELIEVE THIS TIME PERIOD OF 158 DAYS IS BEYOND A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME TO HAVE MADE THE NOTICE FOR BRINGING IN THE VEHICLE FOR REPAIR. I EXPECT THAT I WILL BE CONTACTED TO SET AN APPOINTMENT FOR THAT REPAIR WITHIN THE NEXT 30 DAYS.

LOW BEAM AND HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS BURN OUT MULTIPLE TIMES THROUGH OUT THE YEAR. THE LOW BEAM ON EITHER SIDE BURN OUT AND HAVE TO BE REPLACED MORE FREQUENTLY THAN THE HIGH BEAMS.

I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A NOTICE TO HAVE A REPAIR DONE. I FEEL THAT IT MAY BE UNSAFE TO DRIVE Y CAR. WHY IS MAZDA CORPORATION ALLOWED TO TAKE SO LONG IN ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE?

WE RECEIVED THE JULY 2016 RECALL NOTICE FROM MAZDA FOR OUR VEHICLE. IT STATES: "UNTIL THIS REPAIR IS PERFORMED, DO NOT ALLOW PASSENGERS TO RIDE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT." IN REVIEWING THE RECALL INFORMATION ON YOUR WEBSITE, IT SAYS THAT THE PROPELLANT (AMMONIUM NITRATE) CAN BECOME UNSTABLE AND CAUSE A POSSIBLE RUPTURE. HOW CAN THIS OCCUR ONLY ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND NOT ALSO THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE SAME VEHICLE? SHOULDN'T THE CAR BE PARKED AND NOT DRIVEN UNTIL THE REPAIR IS COMPLETE?
THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY VEHICLE IN OCT 2016 , I HAD ALREADY LOST CONTROL OF MY VEHICLE AND HAD AN ACCIDENT IN SEPT 2016 AND HAD TO PAY INSURANCE FEES STORAGE FEES AND LOST WAGES DUE TO ACCIDENT. MAZDA SENT ME A LETTER AS OF MARCH 2018 SAYING THAT THET NOW HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX IT AFTER 6 MONTHS..I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET AND LOST CONTROL OF STEERING AND CRASHED INTO A PARKED CAR. I WOULD LIKE TO FIND OUT HOW I CAN BE COMPENSATED BECAUSE I LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE BECAUSE OF DEFECT

TAKATA RECALL ON AUGUST 30 2016 I WAS DRIVING ON THE STREET BREAKING AS I WAS APPROACHING A RED LIGHT WHEN MY 2011 MAZDA CX7 WAS REAR ENDED AND SLID INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND I HIT MY HEAD ON THE STEERING WHEEL. I RECEIVED A LETTER IN THE MAIL TODAY ABOUT A REACALL WITH A BAR CODE AND NUMBERS TK66253230. I DO NOT HAVE MY POLICE REPORT THEY DON'T HAND THEM OUT ANYMORE IN IL WHERE I LIVE AS THEY ARE ELECTRONIC NOW BUT I CAN GO TO THE POLICE STATION AND PURCHASE ONE.
THERE IS A RECALL NHTSA 16V593 REGARDING THE SUSPENSION ON THIS VEHICLE. I OWN A MAZDA CX7 SGT XA WITH 24,000 MILES. WANTED TO TRADE THIS VEHICLE IN AND ACURA DEALER ADVISED ABOUT RECALL AND STATED THEY COULD NOT ACCEPT AS TRADE UNTIL RECALL IS FIXED. CONTACTED MAZDA AND WAS ADVISED THAT THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO REPLACE THE LOWER CONTROL ARMS. MAZDA ADVISED THAT THEY WILL NOTIFY ME IN MID SEPTEMBER ABOUT IMPLEMENTING A REMEDY. I AM LEFT IN THE SITUATION THAT I CAN NOT TRADE IN THIS VEHICLE SHOULD I WANT TO.

AFTER EXTENDED OPERATION IN SUCH CONDITION, THE BALL JOINT AND LOWER CONTROL ARM MAY SEPARATE, CAUSING A LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL AND INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. IT HAS BEEN 8 MONTHS SINCE BEING NOTIFIED AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE REPLACEMENT PARTS TO REPAIR THIS ISSUE.
ON 8/10/16 I RECEIVED NOTIFICATION NUMBER 16V-593 FROM NHTSA STATING THAT THE LOWER CONTROL ARMS ON THIS VEHICLE MAY BE DEFECTIVE AND SHOULD BE REPLACED. MAZDA HAS TO THIS DATE DONE NOTHING TO ADDRESS AND REMEDY THIS PROBLEM.
MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBER: 9716H SUMMARY: WATER MAY ENTER THE FRONT SUSPENSION BALL JOINT FITTING. DRIVING ON ROADWAYS DURING THE WINTER MONTHS IN AREAS THAT USE ROADWAY SALTS CAN LEAD TO SALT AND WATER INTRUSION INTO THE BALL JOINT, CAUSING CORROSION, WHICH CAN RESULT IN LOOSENESS OF THE BALL JOINT IN THE FITTING. AS A RESULT OF THE LOOSENESS, A RATTLE MAY OCCUR AT THE LOWER CONTROL ARM BALL JOINT. AFTER EXTENDED OPERATION IN THIS CONDITION, IN THE WORST CASE THE BALL JOINT AND LOWER CONTROL ARM MAY SEPARATE. SAFETY RISK: THE VEHICLE MAY EXPERIENCE SIGNIFICANT LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. REMEDY: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE LOWER CONTROL ARMS. TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED A LETTER IN JULY, 2016 INFORMING ME OF THE RECALL AND ASKING ME TO WAIT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE FROM MAZDA. THEY SUGGESTED I NOT HAVE ANYONE RIDE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT UNTIL REPAIRED. I CALLED MAZDA DEALER 10-18-16 AND STILL DO NOT HAVE PARTS. THAT SUGGESTION IS NOT TENABLE AND WHAT ABOUT THE DANGER TO THE DRIVER? I FEEL THIS IS AN UNREASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME TO WAIT FOR THIS RECALL TO BE TAKEN CARE OF AND REPAIRED. THANK YOU. *TR
TAKATA RECALL. I WAS NOTIFIED IN JULY OF 2016 THAT MY VEHICLE WAS RECALLED DUE TO A DEFECTIVE AIRBAG. I LIVE IN FLORIDA WHERE TEMPERATURES AND HUMIDITY ARE VERY HIGH, SO I AM IN A HIGH RISK AREA FOR A DEFECTIVE AIRBAG. I CHECKED WITH MY DEALER TODAY - THEY ARE STILL AWAITING REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS. IT IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE THAT YOU REMEDY THIS PROBLEM, AS I AM PLANNING A LONG DISTANCE TRIP THIS XMAS AND I HAVE NOTIFIED MY MAZDA DEALER OF THIS.
