I HAVE BEEN GETTING RECALL NOTICES FOR MONTHS TELLING ME THAT PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AND THAT I SHOULD NOT ALLOW PASSENGERS TO RIDE IN MY VEHICLE BECAUSE THEY CAN BE SERIOUSLY INJURED. MY CAR IS A FAMILY VEHICLE, I NEED TO HAVE PASSENGERS IN MY FRONT SEAT. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A UTILITY POLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED SEVERE NECK AND BACK PAINS THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A SALVAGE FACILITY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 119,000.
