Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)MY DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHT WENT OUT A MONTH AGO. I CHANGED THE HID BULBS, THE FUSE AND NOTHING WAS WORKING. I TOOK IT TO A MAZDA DEALER FOR MY WARRANTY WHEN I BOUGHT IT. AFTER MAZDA CHECKED IT OUT, THEY FOUND MY HID BALLAST WAS FRIED DUE TO WATER CONDENSATION. MY HEAD LIGHT IS NOT BROKEN OR MISSING ANY PARTS. MY WARRANTY WILL NOT COVER IT. I HAVE READ IN SEVERAL SITES THAT THIS IS COMMON AND MAZDA KNOW ABOUT IT AND HAS DONE NOTHING TO FIX IT. I HAVE BEEN PULLED OVER SEVERAL TIMES CAUSE OF THIS.
DRIVERS LOW LIGHT BALLAST TOOK ON WATER AND RUSTED OUT CAUSING THE HEADLIGHT TO SHORT OUT.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
