THE DASHBOARD IS MELTING IN THE FLORIDA HEAT. NOT MUCH ELSE TO EXPLAIN BUT THAT WHEN IT'S LEFT IN THE SUN IT MELTS.. *TR
ALL FOUR WHEELS ARE RUSTING. RUST IS SO BAD THAT A FLAT TIRE CANNOT BE CHANGED, THE WHEELS ARE RUSTED COMPLETELY TO THE AXLES. CAR HAS NEVER BEEN EXPOSED TO SALT WATER AND WAS PURCHASED NEW. *TR

MY DAUGHTER'S 2010 MAZDA3 HAS A DASHBOARD THAT IS MELTING. SHE SAYS THE GLARE FROM IT WHEN DRIVING IS VERY BAD. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND FROM WHAT I AM SEEING REGARDING COMPLAINTS, THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS. WHY HAS THIS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED AS A RECALL? IT IS OBVIOUSLY A MANUFACTURER DEFECT? *TR
I WAS DRIVING ON A STANDARD 40 MPH BUSY STREET WHEN I TURNED A CORNER AND MY POWER STEERING COMPLETELY FAILED, I NARROWLY MISSED HITTING A POLE. I TOOK IT INTO A MAZDA DEALERSHIP IN HOPES THAT IT WOULD BE HONORED IN THE MAZDA3 2009 RECALL OR PERHAPS IT COULD BE HONORED IN A WARRANTY, BUT WAS TOLD NO. I FILED AN OFFICIAL COMPLAINT WITH MAZDA BUT WAS FURTHER DENIED, THEY WOULD NOT HELP ME IN ANY WAY RECONCILE THE $1200 COST OF THE REPAIR NOR WOULD THEY ISSUE ANOTHER RECALL. MY LIFE WAS AT RISK AND I WAS PUT UNDER TERRIBLE DISTRESS DURING AND AFTER THIS SITUATION WITH THE COST OF REPAIRS TO THIS SYSTEMATIC DESIGN FLAW. I FILED A SECOND COMPLAINT WITH MAZDA CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE ASKING FOR REIMBURSEMENT BUT WAS STILL DENIED. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE THAT PERSISTS IN MODELS OUTSIDE OF THE 2009 POWER STEERING RECALL AND MAZDA NEEDS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE SAFETY OF THEIR CARS AND ALL DRIVERS. *TR
MY 2010 MAZDA3 HAS A BLACK TAR-LIKE SUBSTANCE THAT HAS COATED THE SOFT DASHBOARD. I FIRST NOTICED IT LAST SUMMER (2014). THIS DEFECT HAS CAUSED A HUGE GLARE ACROSS MY WINDSHIELD THAT LIMITS MY VISIBILITY ANY TIME LIGHT IS REFLECTED OFF OF IT.
I OWN A 2010 MAZDA 3 AND THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD IS MELTING, STICKY, AND CAUSES SIGNIFICANT VISIBILITY ISSUES ESPECIALLY DURING DAYTIME HOURS. IN MY LINE OF VISION, THERE ARE REFLECTIVE ISSUES COMING OFF OF THE MELTING DASHBOARD IMPAIRING MY VISION DURING DRIVING. THIS COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE A SERIOUS OR FATAL ACCIDENT. IN ADDITION, AFTER SITTING IN THE SUN FOR JUST A FEW HOURS, THE MELTING DASHBOARD PUTS OFF VARIOUS ODORS THAT I AM SURE ARE PROBABLY NOT HEALTHY TO BREATHE IN. I HAVE HEARD OF SEVERAL OTHER MAZDA OWNERS WITH THE SAME COMPLAINT OF THEIR DASHBOARDS MELTING AND MAZDA NOT WANTING TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM ESPECIALLY WHEN VEHICLES ARE OUT OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD.
DASH HAS GLARE FROM ON THE TOP THAT CAUSES SAFETY ISSUES. DASH HAS AREAS THAT ARE MELTING AND CAUSE GLARE FROM THE SUN THAT PREVENTS SAFE DRIVING. MAZDA NEEDS TO REPLACE DASH JUST LIKE TOYOTA IS DOING ON EVEN OLDER CARS. MAZDA CHOOSE INFERIORS PARTS AND NOT OWNERS HAVE A SAFETY ISSUE; MAZDA STEP-UP AND REPLACE THE DASH ON MAZDA 3.
THE PLASTIC DASHBOARD PANEL HAS MELTED AND NOW HAS A STICKY TEXTURE. IT IS ALSO HIGHLY REFLECTIVE, CAUSING DANGEROUS GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD WHEN DRIVING.
DASH COVER MELTING IN HOT SUN. TURNS INTO A STICKY FILM AND REFLECT THE SUN AS YOU ARE DRIVING.
DASHBOARD "MELTED". IT'S SHINY ( BAD GLARE) AND VERY STICKY AS THOUGH THE GLUE HAS RISEN UP THROUGH IT. *TR
I HAVE A 2010 MAZDA 3I AND THE DASHBOARD IS MELTING INTO A BLACK RUBBER TAR ALIKE SUBSTANCE VERY STICKY AND IS REFLECTING ONTO MY WINDSHIELD BLOCKING MY VIEW OF TRAFFIC AFTER NOTICING IT EARLY ON I TRIED USING A WINDSHIELD VISOR BUT TO NO AFFECT DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF MELTING THE IMAGE OF THE SHINY MELTING RUBBER IS REFLECTING ONTO MY WINDSHIELD NOW TO THE POINT I'M SEEING IT I CAN NOT CLEAN IT DUE TO ITS STICKINESS AND THE REFLECTION IS GETTING WORSE IF I CAN NOT SEE WHAT'S IN FRONT OF ME IS THAT NOT A SAFELY CONCERN WHEN YOUR FIELD OF VIEW IS BLOCKED BY A DEFECTED PART MADE BY MAZDA ITS. *TR
DASHBOARD ON THE DRIVER SIDE BEGAN TO MELT, AND CONTINUED TO DO SO. THE DASHBOARD IS STICKY AND COLLECTS DUST AND GRIM. THE MELTED MATERIAL HAS A GLOSSY SHINE REFLECTING A BRIGHT GLARE INTO THE DRIVERS EYES AND ONTO THE WINDSHIELD. IT CAUSES A DRIVING HAZARD WHEN OPERATING THE VEHICLE. *TR
I OPENED MY CAR AND SAT DOWN IN THE DRIVERS SEAT AS PER USUAL ONLY TO FIND THAT THE LEFT SIDE OF MY SEAT FELT LOOSE. AS I LEANED FORWARD AND BACKWARDS I COULD FEEL THE SEAT MOVING WITH ME. I GOT OUT AND LOOKED UNDER MY SEAT TO SEE WHAT MAY BE LOOSE. WHAT I FOUND WAS THAT THE PART OF THE SEAT ASSEMBLY THAT ATTACHES TO THE RAIL SYSTEM HAD COME OUT. I LOOKS LIKE A SMALL METAL BOLT THAT GOES THROUGH A METAL RAIL AND IS EITHER BOLTED DOWN ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OR WELDED TOGETHER. *TR
THE DASH COVER IN THE CAR IS MELTING AND THE GLARE FROM THE MELTED DASH IS CAUSING PROBLEMS WITH VISIBILITY. *TR
TAKATA RECALL ---STICKY DASHBOARD WHICH IS MELTING AND WHEN DRIVING THE REFLECTION FROM THE GLARE OF THE STICKY DASHBOARD ON THE WINDSHIELD MAKES IT HARD TO SEE WHEN DRIVING, A LOT OF TIMES I CANT SEE DEPENDING ON HOW THE SUN IS SHINING I HAVE TO SLOW DOWN OR HIT MY BRAKES..VERY SCARY... JUST WANT THIS DOCUMENTED IN CASE AN ACCIDENT HAPPENS
THE DRIVER SEAT BEGAN TO WOBBLE BACK AND FORTH WHILE DRIVING THE CAR. THE PROBLEM IS DUE TO A SHEET METAL PIECE (APPROXIMATELY 1/8 INCH THICK) THAT HOLDS THE SEAT BOTTOM TO THE SEAT SLIDE ADJUSTMENT. THE SPRING RETAINER HAD POPPED OFF THE LOCATING PIN ALLOWING THE SHEET METAL TO BEND AND THE PIN TO COME OUT OF ITS RETAINING HOLE. I ATTEMPTED TO REPLACE THE SPRING RETAINER, BUT THE SHEET METAL SNAPPED DUE TO WORK HARDENING. THE FAILURE MECHANISM APPEARS TO OCCUR BECAUSE THE SHEET METAL IS STAMPED DURING MANUFACTURE AND A HOLE APPROXIMATELY 1/2 THE WIDTH OF THE SHEET METAL IS PUNCHED THROUGH THE SHEET METAL DRASTICALLY REDUCING ITS STRENGTH. I PURCHASED A NEW SLIDE MECHANISM BECAUSE MAZDA DOES NOT HAVE A RECALL OR SPECIAL SERVICE PROGRAM FOR THIS FAILURE. HOWEVER, WHEN I EXAMINED THE NEW SLIDE MECHANISM, I DISCOVERED THAT MAZDA HAS SIGNIFICANTLY REDESIGNED THIS PART TO PREVENT THE TYPE OF FAILURE THAT I EXPERIENCED. THE NEW PIECE DOES NOT HAVE THE PUNCHED HOLE, BUT INSTEAD HAS A REINFORCED BOSS AS WELL AS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF WELDING TO ENSURE THE PIECE CANNOT BEND OR BREAK. MY GUESS IS THAT THE NEW DESIGN IS AT LEAST 100 TIMES MORE DURABLE THAN THE ORIGINAL DESIGN. OBVIOUSLY, MAZDA CONSIDERED THE OLD DESIGN TO BE SUBSTANDARD. I BELIEVE THAT THIS SHOULD BE THE SUBJECT OF A RECALL TO VERIFY THAT THE SEAT RETENTION HAS NOT FAILED. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE THE FAILURE RESULTS IN ONLY 3 POINTS OF RETENTION FOR THE SEAT AND THE DRIVER CAN POSSIBLY LOSE CONTROL DUE TO IMPROPER RESTRAINT IN THE SEAT. I CAN SUPPLY PICTURES OF THE NEW DESIGN AND DEFECTIVE DESIGN IF YOU NEED THEM. THERE ARE TWO SUCH PIECES PER SEAT SO THE POSSIBILITY EXISTS FOR BOTH TO FAIL IN SEQUENCE CREATING A MORE SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA3. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE SUN ROOF SUDDENLY SHATTERED. THE CONTACTED INDICATED THAT THE SUN ROOF WAS IN THE CLOSED POSITION DURING THE INCIDENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 67,000...UPDATED 08-26-14 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED AFTER RESEARCHING THE MATTER IT FOUND THAT SUNROOF EXPLOSIONS ARE A DOCUMENTED OCCURRENCE DUE TO LOW TEMPERED GLASS, PRIMARILY FROM MEXICO. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA 3. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD WAS MELTING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, BUT THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,250.
LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING. PULLED IN TO THE GAS STATION TO CHECK TIRES AND NOTICED A FLAT REAR TIRE. WENT TO PUT AIR IN AND SAW THE VALVE STEM WAS GONE. HAD IT TOWED AND WAS TOLD I NEED TO REPLACE ALL OF THEM. THEY ARE ALL CRACKED. JUST GOT BACK FROM A VACATION. GLAD THIS DIDNT HAPPEN ON THE TUNPIKE. SEEMS VERY SOON FOR THIS TO HAPPEN. BEEN DRIVING 40 YEARS. THIS IS A FIRST.VERY EXPENSIVE AND DANGEROUS.40 ,000 MILES SEEMS PRETTY SOON FOR THIS. *JS
THE DASHBOARD IS MELTING. THE REFLECTION FROM THE MELTING, SHINY, DASHBOARD CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT AT TIMES BECAUSE THE REFLECTIONS FROM THE DASHBOARD ONTO THE FRONT WINDSHIELD CAN NEGATIVELY AFFECT VISIBILITY. *TR
THE DASHBOARD OF MY MAZDA3 SEEMS TO BE MELTING. THE BRIGHT SHINY PLASTIC IS CREATING A GLARE THAT HINDERS MY VISION WHILE DRIVING. THE PLASTIC IS STICKY TO THE TOUCH. ALSO, WHEN MY CAR HAS BEEN SITTING FOR AWHILE DURING THE DAY IT SMELLS OF MELTED PLASTIC WHEN YOU GET BACK INTO IT. *TR
THE DASHBOARD WITHIN MY VECHILE IS METLING. IT IS A GOOEY, STICKY AREA ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE DASHBOARD. IT CREATES A REFLECTIVE GLARE THAT INTERFERES WITH MY DRIVING. *TR
I OWN A 2010 MAZDA 3 I-TOURING AND I BEGAN TO NOTICE AROUND THE SUMMER OF 2014 THAT THE TOP OF MY DASHBOARD ON THE DRIVER SIDE STARTED TO MELT. SINCE IT FIRST STARTED IT HAS GREATLY EXPANDED IN SIZE- IT'S BEGINNING TO CROSS OVER TO THE PASSENGER SIDE. IT'S ALSO LEAVING A STICKY RESIDUE ON THE DASH THAT HINDERS MY ABILITY TO CLEAN IT NOR CAN I PUT UP ANY SUN VISORS TO PROTECT THE REST OF THE INTERIOR BECAUSE THE VISORS WILL STICK TO THE DASH. IF I'M DRIVING IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT THE DASHBOARD EMITS A HORRIFY GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD THAT HAS ME WORRIED THAT, AS TIME GOES ON, DRIVING WILL BECOME UNSAFE. *TR
THE DASH BOARD IS MELTING AND MAKES A HORRIABLE GLARE AND I CAN NOT SEE SOMETIME WHEN THE SUN HITS. GREKO MAZDA HAS REFUSED TO FIX FOR FREE. WANTS ME TO PAY $250 NOT MY FALULT THAT MAZDA MAKE A INFIERER PRODUCT
DASHBOARD IS MELTING CREATING HORRIBLE GLARE IN LINE OF VISION OCCLUDING ONCOMING CARS. SPOKE TO MAZDA HQ WITH NO HELP SIMPLY STATING THAT THEY HAD HEARD OF THIS HAPPENING TO OTHER CARS OF THE SAME MAKE AND YEAR BUT SINCE IT ISN'T CAUSING A "SAFETY HAZARD" THEY WILL NOT COVER IT UNDER WARRANTY OR RECALL IT. I HAVE PICTURES OF HOW TERRIBLE THE GLARE OF THE DASHBOARD REFLECTION IS CREATING WHILE DRIVING. THE BRACKET WHICH HOLDS THE DRIVERS SEAT TO THE FRAME IS BROKEN. SEAT ROCKS BACK AND FORTH DURING DRIVING. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS FLAW IN MANUFACTURING AND IF I'M IN AN ACCIDENT MY SEAT WILL END UP IN THE BACK SEAT MAKING MY SEAT BELT USELESS. I SEE MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS DEFECT. THE DASHBOARD ON MY 2010 MAZDA3 HATCHBACK IS MELTING AND STICKY. WHILE DRIVING TOWARDS THE SUN, THE GLARE FROM THE SHINY STICKY AREA REFLECTS ONTO THE WINDSHIELD AND MAKES IT VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE OUT. IN FACT, I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE THE STICKY MELTING DASH AT FIRST, WHAT I NOTICED FIRST WAS THE FACT THAT I WAS HAVING DIFFICULTY SEEING OUT OF THE WINDSHIELD. I TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF MY CAR. I HAVE NOT USED A BUNCH OF CLEANERS ON THE DASH IN THE PAST. I DO USE A SUN SHADE IN THE WINDSHIELD WHEN PARKED. *TR

THE DASHBOARD IN MY 2010 MAZDA 3 IS MELTING MAKING IT LOOK AS IF A STICKY SUBSTANCE IS COVERING IT. ON TOUCH, FINGERS STICK TO THE DASHBOARD. THE CAR REMAINS IN A COVERED PARKING GARAGE AT ALL TIMES, SO IT IS NOT BEING EXPOSED TO EXTREME HEAT CONDITIONS. THE ONLY EXPOSURE TO THE SUN IS WHILE DRIVING AND DURING THAT TIME, THE CAR'S AIR CONDITIONING IS ON. THE STICKY SUBSTANCE CAUSES A GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD, WHICH IN FLORIDA IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. IT SEEMS A VERY CHEAP AND DEFECTIVE MATERIAL HAS BEEN USED IN THE MANUFACTURING OF THE DASHBOARD. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 65-70 MPH, I HEARD LIKE A GUNSHOT AND AT FIRST THOUGHT THERE WAS A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT BEHIND ME. HOWEVER, I IMMEDIATELY REALIZED THAT THERE WAS A GAPING HOLE IN MY SUNROOF. AT THE TIME, THE TEMPERATURE WAS APPROXIMATELY 92 DEGREES AND THE SUNROOF WAS CLOSED. THE INSIDE COVER, HOWEVER, WAS OPEN, SO THERE WAS GLASS EVERYWHERE INSIDE MY CAR. I WAS TRAVELING UPHILL AT THE TIME AND THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF ANY DEBRIS OR ROCKS. MY FRONT WINDSHIELD AND THE BODY OF MY CAR WAS FINE. IT WAS JUST THE SUNROOF THAT SEEMED TO EXPLODE ON ITS OWN. MAZDA WOULD NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS INCIDENT. AN INSURANCE CLAIM HAS BEEN FILED. *TR
THE DASHBOARD ON MY MAZDA 3 SEEMS TO BE MELTING IN HOT WEATHER. WHEN THE SUN SHINES DIRECTLY ON THE DASH, IT CAUSES A HORRIBLE GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE WHAT IS DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ME. IT IS THE WORST IN AFTERNOON SUNNY WEATHER. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA MAZDA3. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND TO DECELERATION ATTEMPTS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
WHILE DRIVING HERD A POPPING UNDER THE DRIVERS SEAT, THE SEAT THEN STARTED ROCKING BACK IN FORTH. SEAT IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. NOTICED SEVERAL OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE EXACT SAME THING OBVIOUSLY THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE WELD POINTS ON THIS MODEL. MY 3RD MAZDA NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH MY 1ST 2 BUT THE 2010 MAZDA 3 QUALITY DOES NOT HOLD UP TO THE PREVIOUS YEARS. *TR

THE DASHBOARD OF MY 2010 MAZDA3 IS MELTING. I NOTICED THIS ABOUT A MONTH AGO, BUT WHETHER IT STARTED BEFORE THAT I'M NOT SURE. NOW THERE IS A GLOSSY SHEEN TO THE DASHBOARD THAT IMPAIRS MY VISION WHEN DRIVING IN THE MORNING OR THE EVENING, WHEN THE SUN IS RISING OR SETTING. IT CREATES A GLARE ON THE GLASS. *TR

THERE IS AN AREA OF APPROXIMATELY 6" WIDE OF DASHBOARD THAT IS MELTING DIRECTLY ABOVE THE STEERING WHEEL. WHEN DRIVING, THE SUN SHINES DIRECTLY ON THE MELTED PARTS AND CAUSES A GLARE WHICH PREVENTS ME FROM SEEING THE ROAD CLEARLY. *TR
I BOUGHT MY 2010 MAZDA 3 BRAND NEW. NOW THAT I HAVE PAID IT OFF, I'VE NOTICED THE DASHBOARD STARTING TO MELT RIGHT ABOVE THE STEERING WHEEL. THIS STARTED OVER THE SUMMER AND HAS BECOME WORSE SPREADING OVER A RATHER LARGE PORTION OF MY DASH. AND WHILE THIS MAY LOOK LIKE AN UNDESIRABLE BLACK TAR MESS, IT'S ACTUALLY A VERY LARGE SAFETY ISSUE AS IT'S IMPEDING UPON MY VISIBILITY. THE GLARE ON A BRIGHT SUNNY DAY HAS BEEN SO BAD THAT I'VE HAD TO PUT MY HEAD OUT THE WINDOW IN ORDER TO SEE. I COULD DRIVE PERHAPS ANOTHER WAY, OR WAIT UNTIL THERE IS NO SUN, BUT THAT IS NOT HOW MY LIFE WORKS. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THERE IS NOT A RECALL ABOUT THIS SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
AS AN OWNER OF A 2010 MAZDA 3 OVER THE PAST YEAR I HAVE BEEN NOTICING A STICKY FILM ON MY DASHBOARD. IT HAS BECOME INCREASINGLY WORSE AND I REALIZED MY DASHBOARD IS MELTING!! IT CAUSING A BLINDSPOT DUE TO THE REFLECTION OF THE SUN. I HAVE NOT SUFFERED ANY DAMAGE YET BUT CLEARLY THIS IS FAULTY ON BEHALF OF MAZDA AND THEY SHOULD REPLACE THE DASHBOARD AS IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY MY TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR SYSTEM (TPMS) LIGHT CAME ON TO INDICATE A LOW TIRE. I PULLED INTO THE GAS STATION NEAR MY HOUSE RIGHT AFTER AND CHECK MY TIRE PRESSURES. WHEN CHECKING THE DRIVER SIDE REAR TIRE PRESSURE WITH A TIRE PRESSURE GAUGE THE TPMS SENSOR AND STEM PUSHED IN AND AIR BLASTED OUT, BLOWING SEVERAL PIECES OF THE SLEEVE THAT KEEPS THE STEM IN PLACE OFF OF THE WHEEL/STEM. I PICKED UP THE 2 REMAINING PIECES (ONE THIRD OF THE SLEEVE WAS MISSING AND PRESUMED TO HAVE FALLEN OFF WHILE DRIVING) AND THEY HAD CRACKED LENGTH-WISE AND HAD A LARGE AMOUNT OF WHITE CORROSION IN THE THREADS. THE REMAINING STEM WAS ALSO COVERED IN WHITE CORROSION ON THE THREADS AND THE TIRE HAD LOST MOST OF ITS PRESSURE. I STILL HAVE THOSE PIECES OF THE CRACKED TPMS SENSOR SLEEVE IF NEEDED TO BE EXAMINED. I TOOK THE VEHICLE AND WHEEL TO THE MAZDA DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY INSPECTED THAT WHEEL AS WELL AS THE OTHERS. THEY STATED THAT 2 OF MY OTHER TPMS SENSORS HAD CRACKED SLEEVES THAT COULD COME OFF AT ANY TIME IN ADDITION THE ONE THAT HAD FAILED. IF ONE OF THOSE HAD FAILED ON ONE OF MY FRONT WHEELS THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED A LOSS OF CONTROL WHILE DRIVING. *TR
DASH HAS BECOME STICKY AND IS MELTING. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE IN THAT IT CAUSES AN EXTREME GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD THAT OBSTRUCTS VISION.
IN THE MAZDA 3, THE TPMS SENSOR IS CONNECTED TO THE AIR VALVE. THE TPMS SENSORS BREAK EASILY, CAUSING THE TIRE TO DEFLATE. IF THE OUTSIDE PART OF THE TPMS SENSOR BREAKS FROM CORROSION OR BEING HIT AGAINST A CURB, THE TIRE WILL DEFLATE. I HAVE HAD 3 TPMS SENSORS BREAK SINCE I HAD THE CAR, WHICH HAS ONLY BEEN 4 YEARS (APPROX 39,000 MILES), AND IS EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE. MY TIRES ARE LESS THAN 3 YEARS OLD. THE PART OF THE TPMS EXPOSED ON THE OUTSIDE WILL CORRODE, AND IF THE OUTSIDE PART BREAKS OFF, YOUR TIRES DEFLATE. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR MAZDA OWNERS. THESE THINGS BREAK AND THEN CAUSE A FLAT, LEAVING THE DRIVER IN A POSSIBLE EMERGENCY SITUATION. THE REASON FOR THE TPMS SENSOR IS SO DRIVERS DON'T HAVE BLOW OUTS, BUT THE EMERGENCY LIGHT IS VERY NONSPECIFIC, SO THE ONLY WAY YOU KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS WHEN THE FLAT HAS ALREADY OCCURRED, WHICH IS UNNECESSARILY CAUSED BY THE TPMS SENSOR. THIS LATEST INCIDENT INVOLVED ME STRANDED IN THE COUNTRY, YET ANOTHER TPMS SENSOR REPLACEMENT ($200 APPROX), A NEW TIRE, AND AN ALIGNMENT - ALMOST $500 TOTAL. IF THE TPMS SENSOR HADN'T BROKEN, THE FLAT WOULD NOT HAVE OCCURRED AT ALL. *TR
THE DASHBOARD ON MY CAR HAS BEGUN TO MELT, CREATING A VERY SHINY SLICK WHICH (WHEN DRIVING AT THE PROPER ANGLE) CAUSES THE SUN TO REFLECT INTO MY EYES. WHILE I HAVE HAD THE CAR FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS, IT HAS ONLY BEGUN TO MELT THIS SUMMER. *TR
I OWN A 2010 MAZDA 3 THE DASHBOARD IS MELTING, STICKY, AND SMELLS, MAZDA WOULD NOT RELACE IT UNDER WARRANTY, I WAS JUST OUTSIDE WARRANTY WINDOW, MY LAST MAZDA PURCHASE!!!
DASHBOARD IS MELTED, CAUSING EXTREME GLARE DURING THE DAYTIME. THE GLARE FROM THE MELTED DASHBOARD IS DIFFICULT TO SEE THROUGH AND CAUSES SAFETY AND VISIBILITY ISSUES WHILE DRIVING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA MAZDA3. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AS THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING ASSIST MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 90,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. DR
