NEW CAR DIED IN MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. VEHICLE STALLED WHEN COMING TO A STOP. *BF THE CONSUMER BELIEVES THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO STALL DIE TO FAULTY ENGINEERING OF THE VACUUM AND COMPRESSION SYSTEMS. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER FIVE TIMES FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES THE PARTS WERE REPLACED THE VEHICLE CONTINUES TO STALL. THE DEALER REPLACED BROKEN VACUUM HOSE, BRAKE BOOSTER HOSE AND OXYGEN SENSOR. *NM
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 MERCEDES C240. SHE STATED THAT HER VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE FAST ENOUGH TO SAFELY MERGE IN AND OUT OF TRAFFIC. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY WOULD BE UNABLE TO ASSIST HER AND THEY WOULD NOT ACCEPT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE WOULD FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE DUE TO HER VEHICLE BEING A LEMON. THE FAILURE WAS 77 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 40,900.
CONSUMER STATES THAT VEHICLE IS TWO WEEKS OLD AND HAS A FUEL TANK PROBLEM. THE ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ILLUMNIATED. THE DEALER STATES A PART NEEDS TO BE REPLACED IN THE PLASTIC GAS TANK. PLEASE PROVIDE MORE INFORMATION. MR
THE THROTTLE LINKAGE AND CONTROL PEDAL MALFUNCTION NEARLY RESULTED IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. THE BRAKES HAD TO BE VIOLENTLY APPLIED WITH BOTH FEET TO PREVENT THE SURGING VEHICLE FROM REAR-ENDING A VEHICLE IN FRONT OF MINE AT A TRAFFIC INTERSECTION.*AK
THE POWER STEERING WAS TIGHT AND IT WAS DIFFICULT TO CONTROL THE STEERING WHEEL. *JB *TT
THE FUEL GAUGE FAILED TO FUNCTION. IT DIDN'T REGISTER THE CORRECT GAS LEVEL IN THE TANK. THE DIGITAL CONSOLE LIGHT MALFUNCTIONED. IT WOULD EITHER NOT ILLUMINATE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED OR WHEN ILLUMINATED IT WILL SUDDENLY GO OUT. THE VEHICLE HESITATED UPON ACCELERATION WHEN DRIVEN FOR LONG DISTANCES. *NLM
