FEUL TANK LEAK WHEN I PUT ANY AMOUNT OF GAS INTO CAR IT IS LEAKING OUT ON TO THE GROUND WHILE IM DRIVING AND WHEN IM AT A STANDSTILL. THE SMELL IS VERY STRONG AND I SEE THE TRAIL IN MY REARVIEW MIRROR. I READ ON THE WEBSITE THAT IS ONE OF THE PROBLEMS THAT THIS CAR IS HAVING IT WAS REPORTED MARCH 2013 BUT WHEN I CALL THE DEALERSHIP THEY ARE TELLING IT IS NOT A RECALL FOR THIS VEHICLE. I WENT TO AUTOZONE TO DO A CHECK AND IT TOLD IT WAS THE FEUL CAPPED WHICH I SWITCH AND THAT WAS NOT THE PROBLEM. NOW I WENT TO DO MY INSPECTION AND IT FAILED DUE TO THIS PROBLEM.
CPSC: I RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM MERCEDES THAT MY CAR MAY SERIOUSLY INJURE OR KILL ME BUT THEY CANT FIX IT YET. I ASKED FOR LOANER CAR UNTIL THEY COULD GET IT FIXED AND THEY SAID "WELL ITS REALLY NOT UNSAFE THEY JUST HAD TO SEND THE LETTER FOR LEGAL REASONS. *DT *JS
OUTSIDE TEMP 9 DEGREES CAR STARTS FINE AND I DRIVE TWO MILES TO PICK UP A CARRY OUT ORDER. AFTER SITTING 15 MINUTES IN FRONT OF THE RESTAURANT CAR WILL NOT START, NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO CRANK. LIGHTS COME ON AND A MESSAGE POPS UP STATING "INOPERATIVE - CHECK MANUAL." I CALLED MB ASSISTANCE WHO DETERMINED IT WAS THE ESP SYSTEM THAT WAS INOPERATIVE AND OFFERED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE NEAREST DEALER. I TRIED TO START ONE MORE TIME AND THIS TIME THE VEHICLE STARTED RIGHT AWAY.
TAKATA INFLATORS - I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM MERCEDES BENZ STATING WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE AIRBAGS, ALL THE DANGERS (INCLUDING DEATH) AND THAT I'M IN GROUP PRIORITY 7. I'M BEING INFORMED THAT THE PART WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL 12/18 (THIS BEING 01/18). IN THE MEANTIME I NEED TO DRIVE A CAR THAT COULD POTENTIALLY KILL ME OR A PASSENGER. HOW IS THIS OK? I EXPECT A PART NOW, NOT IN 11 MONTHS.

TAKATA RECALL
I HAVE GRANDCHILDREN FREQUENTLY IN MY CAR AND HAVE BEEN ANIOUS FOR MORE THAN A YEAR WITHOUT A REMEDY OR REPAIR TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM FROM STRESS AND WORRY OF INJURY/DEATH TO MYSELF OR FAMILY OR FRIENDS. WILL YOU PROVIDE ME WITH A SAFE VEHIICLE TO DRIVE/TRANSPORT UNTIL REPAIR IS DONE.
WHEN STARTING UP THE VEHICLE MAKE A TERRIBLE NOISE THAT LAST FOR 3-4 SECONDS BEFORE IT GOES AWAY. THE VEHICLE WAS VERIFIED BY A MERCEDES TECHNICIAN AND THE DIAGNOSTICS CAME BACK STATING AN ISSUE WITH THE "CAMSHAFT ADJUSTERS (INTERNAL FAULT)". I WAS TOLD THIS CONDITION WILL GET WORSE AND FINALLY ENGINE WILL STALL AND MAJOR DAMAGES WILL HAPPEN. WORST SCENARIO COULD PRODUCE BENT VALVES AND WILL REQUIRE A MAJOR ENGINE OVERHAUL WITH JUST 48,304 MILES ON IT. APPARENTLY, C250S ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE AND CUSTOMER ARE PAYING THE CONSEQUENCES FOR A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. BY THE WAY, ENGINE HAS BEEN PERFECTLY MAINTAINED WITH MOBIL 1 (OW-40) AND ORIGINAL FILTER EVERY 5,000 MILES INSTEAD OF THE 10,000 MILES INTERVAL RECOMMENDED BY THE MANUFACTURER. THIS CONDITION COULD LEAD TO A MAJOR FAILURE WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE THAT COULD END UP INTO AN ACCIDENT.
TAKATA RECALL. MERCEDES-BENZ IS IN CLEAR VIOLATION OF 49 U.S.C. CHAPTER 301 IN THAT THEY HAVE FAILED TO CORRECT WHAT IS DESRIBED AS A PASSENGER-SIDE AIRBAG INFLATOR THAT COULD RUPTURE DEPLOYING METAL FRAGMENTS THAT COULD KILL OR SERIOUSLY INJURY THIS CAR'S OCCUPANTS.
I CALL MERCEDES BENZ IN REGARDS TO THE RECALL AND THEY SAY THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE TOOLS AVAILABLE YET. I AM CONCERN ABOUT IT BECAUSE I AM IN THE MILITARY AND I AM TRYING TO SHIP MY CAR TO PUERTO RICO BUT I NEED A LETTER SAYING WHY THE RECALL CAN NOT BE DONE YET.

TAKATA RECALL
TAKATA RECALL - AS OF TODAYS DATE, 11/17/2017, I HAVE RECEIVED NO INFO FROM MBENZ AS TO WHEN THIS DEFECTIVE AIRBAG ISSUE WILL BE CORRECTED. MEANWHILE, I AM AFRAID TO HAVE ANYONE RIDE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT BECAUSE IT IS THE SIDE WITH THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAG. I AM SUBMITTING A COMPLAINT BECAUSE THIS PROBLEM WAS ANNOUNCED 1/10/2017 BY MBENZ AND IT IS NOW 11/17/2017 AND THE ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTED YET. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR IN FOR SERVICE ANNUALLY AT MBENZ DEALERSHIPS SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR IN 2014 AND IT HAS BEEN IN TWICE SO FAR THIS YEAR FOR SERVICES AND NO REPAIR TO THE AIRBAG HAS BEEN COMPLETED. I BELIEVE THAT THIS SAFETY HAZARD SHOULD BE COMPLETED IN A TIMELY MANNER, AND IT SEEMS THAT I WILL HAVE TRADED IN MY CAR BEFORE ANYONE GETS AROUND TO FIXING THIS. THEY HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO REMEDY THIS PROBLEM WITHIN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME.
TAKATA RECALL - MY CAR WAS RECALLED A YEAR AGO FOR PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG ISSUE THAT CAN RESULT IN 'DEATH OR INJURY'. A YEAR LATER MERCEDES SAYS A FIX IS STILL NOT READY TO FIX THE RECALL. I'M SCARED THAT I CAN'T TRUST THE SAFETY OF MY CAR IN AN ACCIDENT. HOW CAN MERCEDES GET AWAY WITH TAKING SO LONG? HOW CAN NO REMEDY BE READY YET WHEN MY TOYOTA WAS FIXED YEARS AGO? PLEASE PUT PRESSURE ON MERCEDES. THIS IS REDICULOUS.
MY CAR CAUGHT ON FIRE. I AM NOT SURE EXACTLY WHAT CAUSED IT OR WHERE IT STARTED, BUT THERE WERE FLAMES COMING OUT BETWEEN THE TIRE AND THE DOOR FRAME. THE CAR WAS ON WHILE I WAS PARKED IN A DRIVEWAY. I RAN A REPORT ON MY VEHICLE AND THE TENSIONER HAD BEEN REPLACED BEFORE I PURCHASED IT AND ALSO AFTER I PURCHASED IT. I BELIEVE IT MAY HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE V-BELT TENSIONER AS IT WAS ALWAYS MAKING SCREECHING SOUNDS. I JUST WANT TO KNOW HOW TO HAVE MY CAR INVESTIGATED FOR THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THEY RECENTLY RECEIVED A POSTCARD FROM TK HOLDINGS ALERTING THAT THEY HAD FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
WHEN ASKED TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT WITH MB WALNUT CREEK. THEY SAID THEY HAD NOTHING IN STOCK AND DONT KNOW WHEN THEY WILL. AND REFUSED TO TAKE MY INFORMATION DOWN.
TAKATA RECALL NOTICE RECEIVED FROM MBZ BACK IN JANUARY AND HAVE HEARD NOTHING MORE ABOUT REPLACING THE POTENTIALLY FAULTY DANGEROUS PASSENGER AIRBAG AND HAVE CALLED THEM SEVERAL TIMES ASKING AND TOLD THEY WILL CALL ME WHEN THEY KNOW MORE, NO CALLS YET AND IT IS NOVEMBER.

TAKATA RECALL THERE IS STILL NO AVAILABLE FIX. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND UNACCEPTABLE. I TRAVEL OFTEN WITH SOMEONE IN MY PASSENGER SEAT AND WOULD LIKE THIS FIXED ASAP.

BUT THEY KEPT TELLING ME THEY DO NOT HAVE THE AIRBAG PARTS AVAILABLE FROM MANUFACTORY. I FEEL LIKE I'M IN POTENTIAL DANGER ALL THE TIME BUT COULDN'T DO ANYTHING.

ACCORDING TO TAKATA, ACTIVATION OF A NON-DESICCATED AMMONIUM NITRATE INFLATOR WITH DEGRADED PROPELLANT MAY RESULT IN AN INFLATOR RUPTURE. AN INFLATOR RUPTURE MAY CAUSE METAL FRAGMENTS TO PASS THROUGH THE AIR BAG AND INTO THE VEHICLE INTERIOR AT HIGH SPEED, WHICH MAY RESULT IN INJURY OR DEATH TO VEHICLE OCCUPANTS.
TAKADA RECALL - YESTERDAY 10.26.17 I HAVE CALLED THE LOCAL LAS VEGAS MERCEDES BENZ DEALERSHIP [FLETCHER JONES]. THEY TOLD ME THEY HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THE RECALL FOR TWO YEARS AND THEY HAVE NOT YET REPLACED ONE TAKADA AIRBAG TO DATE AS THEY HAVE NO PARTS FOR REPLACEMENT. THEY HAVE NO PARTS FOR THE RECALL OF THE AIRBAG. THIS LEAVES ME AND/OR MY FAMILY AT RISK OF INJURY IF WE GET INTO AN ACCIDENT WITH THIS DEFECTIVE AIRBAG STILL IN MY VEHICLE.

TAKATA RECALL: JUST RECEIVED NOTICE THAT TAKATA HAVE FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY, I FOUND NO OTHER SOLUTIONS TO REPAIR OR REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAG. MY MERCEDES BENZ DEALERSHIP IS UNABLE TO GIVE ME THE TIME AND PUT ME ON THE WAITING LIST. THIS IS THE ONLY CAR MY FAMILY HAVE. I'M AFRAID FOR MY FAMILY'S SAFETY INCLUDING MY 13 MONTH OLD DAUGHTER.
I HAVE CONTACTED THE MERCEDES BENZ DEALERSHIP TWICE SINCE THE AIRBAG RECALL. I WAS TOLD BOTH TIMES THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO REPLACE MY RECALLED AIRBAGS. MY SAFETY IS IN DANGER UNTIL THE PARTS ARE MADE AVAILABLE. THAT IS MY COMPLAINT.
TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED A LETTER MONTHS AGO ABOUT THE RECALL AND THAT MERCEDES WOULD NOTIFY ME WHEN THE NEW PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE. I RECEIVED A LETTER IN DECEMBER 2017 THAT THE PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE BY DECEMBER 31,2018. THIS REQUIRES A WHOLE YEAR OF DRIVING AND WHEN IN THE LETTER IT SAYS THE RISKS CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. THIS SHOULD NOT TAKE A WHOLE YEAR TO TAKE CARE OF. I FEEL VERY UNSAFE WITH THIS MATTER.

THE DEALER MERCEDES BENZ OF AUGUSTA, 3061 WASHINGTON ROAD, AUGUSTA, GA 30907, CONFIRMED PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 MERCEDES-BENZ C250. WHEN STARTING THE VEHICLE, THERE WAS A GRINDING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO G2 AUTOMOTIVE MERCEDES-BENZ (5935 PARKWAY NORTH BLVD, CUMMING, GA 30040 PHONE NUMBER: (678) 515-9807) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED A NEW TIMING CHAIN TENSIONER REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS BEING REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
