SUNROOF IS FAULTY IN THIS MODEL. MERCEDES HAVE RECALLED EARLIER MODELS DUE TO SIMILAR ISSUE. THE HAVE RECALLED 750K CARS TODAY DUE TO THIS ISSUE AND WE ARE SEEING SIMILAR PROBLEMS IN OUR 2015 C CLASS. THIS ISSUE IS VERY SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS AS THE SUNROOF COULD POTENTIALLY FLY OFF MYSELF AND MY WIFE WERE DRIVING AT NORMAL SPEED ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN WE SUDDENLY HEARD THE NOISE. WHEN WE STOPPED BY TO CHECK THE ISSUE, IT SEEMED LIKE THE SUNROOF WAS GETTING DETACHED. WHEN WE TRIED TO CLOSE IT, IT MADE A BIG BANG NOISE AS IF SOMETHING HAS NOT BEEN PLACED CORRECTLY. EVER SINCE THE SUNROOF HAS NOT BEEN CLOSED PROPERLY AND WE COULD HEAR THE WIND NOISE INSIDE. THIS HAPPENED COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 MERCEDES-BENZ CLA250. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V010000 (AIR BAGS). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
CHECK ENGINE APPEARED ON OUR DASH BOARD AT 56,000 MILEAGE AND DIAGNOSED WITH A PROBLEM OF THE AUXILLARY ELECTRICAL OIL PUMP. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME WE HAVE CHECK ENGINE AFTER WE ARE OFF WARRANTY. I CAN ALSO SMELL GAS INSIDE THE CABIN WHEN I TURNED ON THE ENGINE
SUNROOF SHADE HAS UN-GLUED ITSELF IN A MATTER OF TIME THAT WOULD NOT SEEM TO BE CONSISTENT WITH MERCEDES BENZ QUALITY SPEC.
I WAS DRIVING TO MEET A FRIEND FOR LUNCH. I CAME UP UPON A STOP LIGHT THAT WAS ALREADY RED AND I WOULD HAVE BEEN THE THIRD CAR IN LINE. I CAME TO WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A STOP. I WAS ABOUT A CAR LENGTH OR MORE BEHIND THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. NEXT THING I KNOW, I HEAR A LOUD BANG AS MY CAR HAD ACCELERATED INTO THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE. THAT CAR, IN TURN, HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF THEM. I WAS VERY CONFUSED. I RECEIVED A TRAFFIC TICKET FOR UNCONTROLLED SPEED. THE POLICEMAN THOUGHT I WAS I WAS CRAZY WHEN I SAID THAT I HAD COME TO A STOP. THE CAR WAS DRIVABLE, SO I STILL WENT TO LUNCH WITH MY FRIEND. NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER WITH PARKING OR DRIVING THE CAR TO THE RESTAURANT, WHICH WAS ABOUT 1 MILE AWAY. AFTER LUNCH, I THEN NEEDED TO RUN AN ERRAND BEFORE I WENT HOME. I DROVE ABOUT 2 BLOCKS AWAY FROM THE RESTAURANT AND PULLED INTO A SHOPPING CENTER. I THEN SLOWLY PULLED INTO A PARKING SPOT BETWEEN TWO OTHER CARS. AS MY CAR HIT THE CURB, IT THEN WENT OVER THE CURB, ONTO THE SIDEWALK AND SLAMMED INTO THE CONCRETE WALL OF ONE OF THE SHOPS. I WAS ABLE TO GET HOME, VERY SHAKEN, AND RESEARCHED ON THE INTERNET. EVERYTHING I FOUND INDICATED IT WAS SUDDEN UNINTENDED ACCELERATION (SUA). I TOLD MY INSURANCE COMPANY AND ALSO CALLED MERCEDES BENZ USA. I HAD MY CAR TOWED TO THE MERCEDES COLLISION REPAIR SHOP. MERCEDES DID A RECORDED CONVERSATION AND SAID NOT TO HAVE THE CAR REPAIRED AND THEY WOULD LOOK AT IT. THEY WERE DEFENSIVE WHEN I MENTION SUA, BUT MY MAT IS VELCROED ON AND IT HAPPENED TWICE IN ONE DAY. AFTER THE SECOND COLLISION, I SAW A MESSAGE ON MY DASH THAT SAID : ?COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS INOPERATIVE". MY AIRBAGS NEVER DEPLOYED. I CHECKED AT THE MERCEDES COLLISION CENTER TODAY AND WAS TOLD MERCEDES REMOVED A BLACK RECORDING BOX FROM MY CAR. I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING BACK AS OF YET. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS CAR EVEN IF IT IS REPAIRED.*DT *DT *TR
I HAVE 2015 CLA250 COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST DOSE NOT WORK AND IT’S ALWAYS ON AS ALARM ON MY DASHBOARD AFTER I SEARCH TOO MANY PEOPLE HAVE SAME ISSUES I WANT TO THE DEALER THE ASK 190$ FOR DIAGNOSTIC AND THEN WILL CHARGE MY FOR RE PROGRAM AND SUSPENSION TO HARSH NOTICE MY CAR MILEAGE 33000 ONLY THANKS
THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE WATER PUMP, MB HAS SINCE REPLACED THE PRODUCT WITH A NEW ONE BECAUSE OF ISSUES WITH THE OLD STYLE NOT WORKING. MY CAR IS JUST OVER THE WARRANTY AND HAS ON 10,270 MILES ON IT AND IS NOW EXPERIENCING THE OVERHEATING ISSUE (WARRANTY ENDED DECEMBER 2018). IF THE PROBLEM WITH OLD STYLE WATER PUMP WAS KNOWN WHY NOT NOTIFY CUSTOMERS? WHEN THE VEHICLE IS ON, DRIVING OR RUNNING STATIONARY THE ENGINE OVERHEATS.
I HAVE MERCEDES BENZ GLA 250 YEAR 2015 AND THE ENGINE LIGHT IS ALREADY APPEARING IN MY DASH BOARD . I HAVE ONLY DRIVEN THIS CAR FROM HOME TO WORK WHICH IS 10-20 MILES AWAY. OTHER ISSUE I HAVE IS THAT WHEN THE WEATHER IS 30-40 DEGREES AND WILL HAVE MY HEATER IN MAX I SMELT A TERRIBLE GAS ODOR COMING FROM MY AIR VENTS
I WAS DRIVING MY 2015 MB GLA250 4MATIC [XXX] AND SUDDENLY 5 WARNING ALERTS POPPED ON THE DISPLAY AND THE RESPECTIVE SIGNALS TURNED ON THE DASHBOARD. THE 5 WARNINGS WERE: 4MATIC CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE, INOPERATIVE ABS, PARKING BREAK, COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS INOPERATIVE AND CHECK ENGINE. IN ADDITION, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME HEAVY AT THE SAME TIME. I TURNED OFF THE CAR AND TURNED IT ON AGAIN AND AT THAT TIME ONLY THE CHECK ENGINE SIGNAL WAS ON. AS SOON AS I ACCELERATED THE CAR AND THE CAR CHANGED TO 2ND, ALL THE ORIGINAL LIGHTS AND WARNING TURNED ON AND THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME HEAVY. I AM SHARING THIS INFORMATION BECAUSE I'VE READ MULTIPLE SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ONLINE. THE WARRANTY OF THE CAR EXPIRED IN DECEMBER 2018 (3 MONTHS AGO) AND BACK IN NOVEMBER MY VEHICLE STAYED A COUPLE WEEKS IN GARAGE ISLA VERDE (PUERTO RICO) DUE TO PROBLEMS WITH TRANSMISSION. RECALL ISSUED IN MARCH 2019; MERCEDES SAYS EARLIEST IT WILL REPLACE IS NOV. 2020. PROBLEM IS EXACERBATED BY HEAT AND HUMIDITY; I LIVE IN HOUSTON, WHERE HEAT & HUMIDITY BOTH HIGH. FAILURE CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH...WHY ALLOWING MERCEDES TO TAKE NEARLY TWO YEARS. NTSHA, DO YOUR JOB!
WE HAVE HAD THIS CAR ABOUT A YEAR, WE ENCOUNTER NUMEROUS OCCASION THE THE "COLLISION ASSIST PLUS" HAS ENGAGED INTERMITTENTLY W/O ANY REASONABLE OBSTACLE IN FRONT OF THE CAR WHEN IT IS IN MOTION. ABOUT A MONTH AGO, THE CAR GAVE MESSAGE "COLLISION ASSIST INOPERATIVE" AND I CAN EVEN GET THE CAR IN GEAR NOT WITH MULTIPLE RESTART. LAST WEEK I WENT OUT WITH MY WIFE AND THE CAR STOP ON THE BUSY STREET ON THE STOP AND GO TRAFFIC AND THE CAR DID "AUTO START STOP" WAS UNABLE TO RESTART AND IT DISENGAGE THE TRANSMISSION AND I HAD TO RESTART THE CAR MANUALLY AND REENGAGE THE TRANSMISSION. I HAD FILE COMPLAINT ABOUT INTERMITTENT "COLLISION ASSIST " CONDITION TO THE DEALER (HOUSE OF IMPORT, BUANA PARK, CA), THE SERVICE ADVISER SAID IT IS NORMAL FOR THE COLLISION ASSIST ACTING UP SOME TIME. I BELIEVE THERE ARE SOME SOFTWARE GREMLIN OR SOME OTHER ECU ISSUE NEED TO BE ADDRESS. IT S A SAFETY CONCERN TO KEEP DRIVING THIS CAN W/O ANY SOLUTION, I DID CONTACTED MBZ USA, THEY OFFER NO HELP NOR SOLUTION AT ALL.
RECEIVED LETTER 2/5/19 REGARDING TAKATA PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG RECALL. AS OF 9/20/19, MERCEDES PROVIDED OCTOBER 2020 AS AN ETA. AS OF 9/28/20, MERCEDES CAN GIVE ME NO ESTIMATED DATES FOR REPLACEMENT. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING A KNOWN UNSAFE VEHICLE FOR 20 MONTHS WITH NO END IN SIGHT.
I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE FROM MERCEDES-BENZ IN FEBRUARY 2019 FOR THE PASSENGER-SIDE AIRBAG (SEE ATTACHED COPY). IT STATES THAT "A PASSENGER-SIDE INFLATOR EXPLOSION DURING DEPLOYMENT COULD RESULT IN SHARP METAL FRAGMENTS STRIKING THE FRONT PASSENGER OR OTHER OCCUPANTS, POSSIBLY CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH." OVER THE LAST 20 MONTHS, I HAVE TRIED AT LEAST SIX TIMES TO HAVE THIS ISSUE FIXED BY MY DEALER MERCEDES-BENZ OF GREENWICH, 261 WEST PUTNAM AVE, GREENWICH, CT 06830. EACH TIME THE DEALER SAID THAT THEY DON'T HAVE THIS PART.
I STARTED THE CAR AND I GOT A MESSAGE STATING THE RIGHT FRONT AIR BAG MALFUNCTIONED. THERE IS A SHORT. I TOOK THE CAR IN FOR REPAIR, THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL RECALLS ON THIS MODEL FOR THE AIR BAG, MINE IS NOT INCLUDED. THE AIR BAG HAS SHORTED OUT. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE.
I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR WHEN IT'S IN "PARK" POSITION AND WHEN IT'S AT A RED LIGHT OR STOPPED. THE CAR WILL ACCELERATE SLOWLY WHEN IT'S AT A RED LIGHT OR WHEN TURNED ON IN PARK POSITION. I TOOK MY CAR TO MB IN DALLAS (10/18) BEFORE WARRANTY EXPIRED TO CHECK ON THE ENGINE AND THE CAMSHAFT RECALL. AFTER PICKING UP MY CAR, THE SAME DAY, MY CAR HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND NOW IT HAS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. I HAVE BEEN TAKING MY CAR TO THE DEALER ON AND OFF FOR THE LAST MONTHS TO GET THIS FIXED. IT'S ONLY 45K MILES AND I'VE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH OTHER MERCEDES CARS I'VE HAD. IT IS NOW 02/19 AND THE CHECK ENGINE CAME ON AGAIN. I ASK MERCEDES TO SERIOUSLY CHECK ON THIS PROBLEM IT IS DANGEROUS TO BE AT A RED LIGHT THEN SUDDENLY FEEL THE CAR ACCELERATE.
WE PURCHASED THIS CAR AS CERTIFY PRE-OWNED; IT HAS ENCOUNTER NUMEROUS ISSUES. ONE ISSUE I DID NOT MENTION ON THE PREVIOUS COMPLAINT IS THE ISSUE WITH "KEY LESS" REMOTE. THE CAR SOME TIME DOES NOT DETECT KEY LESS REMOTE DURING DRIVING SAYING "KEY NOT DETECTED" EVEN AFTER REPLACING BATTERY AND VISITED DEALER (HOUSE OF IMPORT) FOR SOFTWARE UPDATE. IT HAS BEEN SEVERAL OCCASION CAR FAIL TO RESTART WAITING ON THE TRAFFIC LIGHT AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPT TO RESTART THE CAR IT KEPT SAYING KEY NOT DETECTED (THIS CAK HAS AUTO START/STOP FEATURE) THAT MAKE IT VERY DANGEROUS POSSIBLE CAN BE REAR ENDED BY OTHER CAR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 MERCEDES-BENZ CLA250. WHEN THE GEAR WAS SHIFTED INTO REVERSE, THE SEAT BELT BECAME TOO TIGHT AROUND THE CONTACT'S WAIST. IT WAS DIFFICULT TO MOVE THE CONTACT'S WAIST AND THIGHS. THERE WAS NO WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PARK PLACE MOTORCARS MERCEDES-BENZ FORT WORTH (817-310-9745, LOCATED AT 5601 BRYANT IRVIN RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76132) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILLURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 24,000.
WHEN VEHICLE IS PARKED IN A SPACE UNDER POWER LINES THE VEHICLE LOCKING SYSTEM DEACTIVATES AND THE VEHICLE WILL NOT LOCK. THE VEHICLE MUST BE MOVED TO A SPACE WHERE THERE NO POWER LINES ABOVE THE VEHICLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 MERCEDES-BENZ CLA250. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED A CONSTRUCTION SITE ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND A WOODEN LIGHT POLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SKID DUE TO WET PAVEMENT AND CRASHED HEAD ON INTO THE LIGHT POLE. THE FRONTAL AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AFTER THE CRASH. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE NECK, HEAD, AND BACK AND WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL VIA AMBULANCE. THE CONTACT WAS KEPT AT THE HOSPITAL FOR THREE DAYS AND RELEASED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER (GREENWICH MERCEDES-BENZ, 261 WEST PUTNAM AVENUE, GREENWICH, CONNECTICUT 06830). THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED TO A COLLISION CENTER FOR REPAIRS. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
WHILE DRIVING TO WORK ON A FREEWAY I SUDDENLY HEARD A BLASTING SOUND AND NEXT THING WHAT I SAW WAS THERE WERE GLASS PIECES EVERYWHERE ON MY BODY AND IN THE CAR. THE PANORAMIC MOON ROOF OF MY CAR EXPLODED OUT OF NO REASON. I AM VERY SURE THAT NOTHING HIT THE ROOF OR FALL ON THE ROOF. THE FREEWAY WAS WIDE OPEN AND FORTUNATELY I WAS WEARING SUNGLASSES SO MY EYES DIDN'T HURT BY THE EXPLOSION. HOWEVER, AFTER TAKING A MEDICAL LEAVE FROM WORK AND HAVING CHECKED UP AT THE HOSPITAL I DECIDED TO TAKE THE CAR TO MBENZ DEALERSHIP TO REPORT WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CAR AND KNOW WHY IT HAPPENED. SURPRISINGLY INSTEAD OF LOOKING INTO THE INCIDENT THEY DECIDED TO AVOID THE ISSUE AND INDIRECTLY ACCUSED ME OF CAUSING IT BY MYSELF. I WAS VERY SHOCKED AND DISAPPOINTED BY THE WAY A SITUATION AND THE CUSTOMER WAS HANDLED. I'D URGE NHTSA TO TAKE FURTHER ACTION TO MAKE SURE SUCH INCIDENTS DO NOT HAPPEN TO OTHER MBENZ CAR OWNERS. WHILE DOING RESEARCH ON INTERNET I FOUND OUT THAT MY INCIDENT IS NOT THE ONLY INCIDENT , THERE ARE MANY OTHER MBENZ OWNERS REPORTED THE SAME COMPLAINT ABOUT SUDDEN SHATTERING OF THEIR GLASS ROOF.
ALL 4 TIRES HAVE BLOWN OUT, SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THIS VEHICLE. I HAVE NEVER HIT ANYTHING TO MAKE THEM BLOW, JUST NORMAL CAREFUL DRIVING. THEY ARE BLOWING OUT FOR NO REASON AND IT'S A SAFETY HAZARD DATES 2/11/2018 2/17/2018 3/1/2018 AND THE FIRST TIRE BLEW APPROX MARCH 2016
WHILE DRIVING AND WITHOUT WARNING, THE CAR SHIFTED ITSELF INTO NEUTRAL AND DISPLAYED THE FOLLOWING ERROR MESSAGE: "TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION STOP." I COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND UPON STOPPING, THE FOLLOWING ERROR MESSAGE WAS DISPLAYED: "SERVICE REQUIRED DO NOT SHIFT GEARS VISIT DEALER." I TURNED THE CAR OFF, RESTARTED IT, AND IT DROVE WITHOUT INCIDENT. THIS HAS HAPPENED 5 DIFFERENT TIMES: ONCE ON A SUBURBAN ROAD, ONCE IN A PARKING GARAGE, AND THREE TIMES ON A CITY STREET.
CAR TAKEN TO MERCEDES BENZ SERVICE DEPARTMENT ON 1/3/2018 FOR COLLISION ASSIST SYSTEM FAILURE ON 12/30/2017 CAUSING CAR TO LOSE POWER, COLLISION ASSIST SYSTEM WARNING ALERT, AUTO BRAKING (ALL AT HIGHWAY SPEED WHILE ENTERING HIGHWAY FROM ON-RAMP). ONLY SOLUTION WAS TO LIMP TO SIDE OF FREEWAY AND TURN OFF CAR, THEN RESTART. ALL WARNINGS CLEARED, CAR RETURNED TO NORMAL STATE. ABLE TO DRIVE. OCCURRED TWICE BEFORE (12/22/2017 AND 12/23/2017). AFTER RECEIVING CAR BACK FROM MERCEDES BENZ SERVICE DEPARTMENT, REPORTED ISSUE WAS CA SENSOR WAS LOOSE IN ITS SEAT AFTER VISUAL INSPECTION. REPORTED TO HAVE REPLACED SENSOR AND RE-SEATED, INITIAL STARTUP ON CA MODULE INCLUDING UPDATE AND CALIBRATION, TEST DRIVE OF 9 MILES WITHOUT INCIDENT, REPORTED AS "EVERYTHING FUNCTIONING AT THIS TIME". VEHICLE RETRIEVED FROM MB ON 1/4/2018. ON 1/6/2018, ISSUE OCCURRED AGAIN AFTER MAKING RIGHT HAND TURN ON SURFACE ROAD AND ACCELERATING TO APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH (45 MPH ZONE). SAME SITUATION: LOSS OF POWER, AUTO DAMPENING, COLLISION ASSIST WARNING AND CHIMES. TAKING VEHICLE BACK TO MB SERVICE DEPARTMENT. IMMEDIATELY AFTER ENTERING A FREEWAY FROM AN ON-RAMP AT APPROXIMATELY 60MPH, WARNING CHIMES FOR COLLISION INDICATOR DEACTIVATED CAME ON, AUTO-DAMPENING OF ENGINE SPEED OCCURRED, AND AUTO-BRAKING OCCURRED. NO VEHICLES WERE DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF VEHICLE, NOR NEAR ENOUGH TO SIDE OR REAR CAUSE PROXIMITY SENSORS TO ACTIVATE. THE ONLY REMEDY FOR THIS WAS TO LIMP TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD (IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC), TURN OFF CAR, AND THEN TURN BACK ON. ALL INDICATORS AND WARNINGS WERE CLEARED UPON RESTARTING VEHICLE. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED WITHIN 12-MONTHS.
I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT 12/14/17, IN WHICH MY CAR WAS TOTALED. I WAS DRIVING ON A THREE LANE HIGHWAY WHEN SOMEONE HIT ME ON MY REAR PASSENGER SIDE PANEL & THEN I HIT A LIGHT POLE HEAD ON. THE CARS WERE GOING AT LEAST 65MPH OR MORE. I HAVE THE INVESTIGATION FORM & THE POLICE REPORT NUMBER IF NEEDED.

I BOUGHT MERCEDES CLA 2015 ON JAN 2015 AND I DROVE THE VEHICLE WHERE MY AUDIO SYSTEM USED TO REBOOT TIME TO TIME ONCE IN A WHILE BUT IT USED TO COME UP. SO I DID NOT MENTION AND TAKE IT TO DEALER THAT TIME BUT RECENTLY, AFTER DRIVING 53K MILE, IT COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING AND ONLY REBOOTING ITSELF. LATER I FOUND OUT THERE WAS RECALL ABOUT 2015/2016 CLA AUDIO RECALL "REFERENCE TSB NO. 2015110001". SO I TOOK IT TO DEALER "MERCEDES BENZ HOUSTON GREENWAY" AND THEY SAID THEY CAN NOT UPDATE UNLESS THEY CHANGE CONTROL UNIT. I ALSO CALLED MERCEDES BENZ CUSTOMER SERVICE BUT THEY ALSO SAME THING. SO I PAID 50% COST WHICH IS $1457. THIS LOOKS UNFAIR TO ME BECAUSE IT HAD ISSUE AND IT HAS RECALL TOO.I NEED PROPER HELP HERE AS THIS DOES NOT LOOK RIGHT TO ME AND I AM STARTING MY VOICE HERE TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE.

I WAS DRIVING AT 45MPH DURING DAY TIME, IN NORMAL SLOW-TRAFFIC CONDITIONS ON A CALIFORNIA FREEWAY, WHEN MY PANORAMIC SUNROOF EXPLODED. OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE WAS 66F, I WAS NOT DRIVING UNDER A BRIDGE AND I DIDN'T HEAR ANY NOISE OF IMPACT GENERATED BY A FOREIGN OBJECT. AT THE TIME OF THE EXPLOSION I WAS PASSING A TRUCK AND BY THE SOUND OF IT, I IMMEDIATELY THOUGHT THAT ONE OF THE TRUCK'S TIRES EXPLODED. INSTEAD I LOOKED UP AND MY ENTIRE PANORAMIC SUNROOF WAS IN PIECES. LUCKILY THE SUNSHADE LINING WAS CLOSED AND IT PROTECTED MY FACE FROM BEING EXPOSED TO THE PIECES OF BROKEN GLASS.

IT SEEMS THERE SHOULD BE SOMETHING PROTECTING THE OIL PAN PREVENTING THIS FROM HAPPENING AND MORE TIME NOTIFYING OF LOW OIL SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO MOVE OFF THE ROAD WAY AND SHUT THE ENGINE DOWN. I ALSO QUESTION THE STRENGTH OF THE MATERIAL OR DESIGN OF THE OIL PAN.

TAKATA RECALL. I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT IN MY CAR IN MARCH OF 2017 WHERE DRIVER AND PASSANGER AIRBAGS WERE DEPLOYED. DRIVER'S FRONT TOOTH WAS KNOCKED OUT AND LEFT SIDE DAMAGED. PASSANGER SIDE AIRBAGS SIDE AIRBAG DEPLOYED BUT NOT SURE ABOUT REST. THE DOOR OPEN WARNING SIGN ON THE DASH DID NOT COME ON UNTIL AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 100 FEET. A BACKSEAT PASSENGER FELL OUT OF THE CAR AS IT STARTED TO MOVE FORWARD. THE DRIVER ASSUMED THE BACK DOOR WAS CLOSED SECURELY WHEN HE STARTED FORWARD BECAUSE THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT.
TRANSMISSION VIOLENTLY ENGAGE IN REVERSE: SO FAR I HAVE ONLY EXPERIENCED THIS (TWICE) DURING COLD-STARTS. STARTED THE ENGINE, SHIFT CAR IN TO REVERSE GEAR, DISENGAGE PARKING BREAK. IN NORMAL SITUATION, THE CAR WOULD REVERSE SLOWLY WITHOUT APPLYING THROTTLE. IN THE TWO TIMES I EXPERINCED THE PROBLEM, THE CAR WOULD STILL BE IDLE, EVEN AFTER GENTLY APPLYING THROTTLE. I HAD TWO MVA ACCIDENTS (FEBRUARY 1 AND MARCH 16, 2016) IN THIS VEHICLE WITHIN~ 3 MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP. THE ACCIDENTS OCCURRED WHEN I SLOWED DOWN THIS VEHICLE UNDER 10-15MPH. UPON PURCHASE, I NOTICED UNLIKE OTHER CARS I HAVE OWNED, AT A STOP THIS MBGLA 250 VEHICLE ENGINE WOULD CUT OFF COMPLETELY AND START BACK WHEN THE GAS PEDAL WAS PRESSED. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THIS WAS NORMAL. HOWEVER, I NOTICED WHEN I RECEIVED THE CAR BACK FROM PARK PLACE BODYWERKS IN MARCH, 2016, (AFTER ~ 5 WEEK REPAIR PERIOD FROM THE FIRST ACCIDENT THAT OCCURRED IN FEBRUARY 2016) THE ENGINE GEARS WOULD JUMP FROM 1ST TO 4TH AFTER SLOWING DOWN ON THE BRAKE FOLLOWED BY STEPPING ON THE GAS PEDAL, IT FELT LIKE THE CAR WAS JUMPING BETWEEN GEARS, I WAS NOT ABLE TO CONTROL THIS. THE CURRENT CAR ACCIDENT HAPPENED ON MARCH 16, 2016, WITHIN 1 WEEK POST REPAIR FROM PARK PLACE BODYWERKS, AFTER I STOPPED AT A STOPPED LIGHT I HIT THE LIGHT POLE, RESULTING IN FRONT END DAMAGE AND NO AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT. IN THE DAYS THAT FOLLOW, I WAS CONTACTED BY A PARK PLACE BODYWERKS AGENT AND ASKED "DID YOU CHANGE THE FLUIDS IN THE TRANSMISSION.." I WAS EXTREMELY OFFENDED AND INFORMED HIM "I DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO OPEN THE HOOD..." AS OF TODAY, 6/13/16, GEICO HAS PAID PARK PLACE BODYWERKS ON BEHALF OF MY POLICY $28,831.30 FOR A VEHICLE I HAVE ONLY OWNED SINCE NOVEMBER 2015, DRIVEN LESS THAN 2 MONTHS, BOUGHT CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED FROM PARK PLACE BODYWERKS WITH LESS THAN 8000 MILES, CONTAINED THE WRONG TRANSMISSION FLUID FROM THE DEALERSHIP, HAD TWO LOW SPEED ACCIDENTS EACH WITH NO AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT, A HOSPITALIZATION FOR THE OWNER AND NEVER HAD A DRIVING HISTORY LIKE THIS OF MULTIPLE ACCIDENTS.

THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE GAS PEDAL ARE TOO CLOSE TOGETHER. I AM CONSTANTLY FEELING THE SLIGHT TOUCH OF THE BRAKE PEDAL WHEN STEPPING ON THE GAS. I HAVE HAD MULTIPLE CARS AND SUV'S IN THE PAST AND I CANNOT EVERY RECALL TOUCHING THE BRAKE WHEN GASSING. I AM VERY CONSCIOUS OF THE PROXIMITY OF THE 2 PEDALS AND TRY TO NOT TOUCH THE BRAKE.
