WHILE ENTERING ONTO THE SOUTHERN STATE PARKWAY IN LONG ISLAND N.Y., GOING ABOUT 45 MPH, FOR REASONS NOT KNOWN MY SUNROOF COMPLETELY SHATTERED. MY SUNROOF WAS COMPLETELY CLOSED AT THE TIME.
2011 MERCEDES BENZ. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO TAKATA AIRBAG SAFETY RECALL. *LD *TR
TAKATA RECALL . MERCEDES HAS SENT 2 LETTERS INDICATING DEATH MAY OCCUR FROM DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS. DEFECT IS EVEN MORE SERIOUS FOR US BECAUSE WE ARE ON A BLOOD THINNER AND BLEEDING CAUSED BY DEFECT COULD NOT BE STOPPED. DEALER INDICATES THAT CAR MAY NOT BE SOLD OR DRIVEN. MERCEDES SHOULD EITHER CORRECT DEFECT OR PROVIDE A REPLACEMENT CAR UNTIL DEFECT IS CORRECTED. THE NYT ARTICLE YESTERDAY INDICATES THAT MOST OTHER CAR COMPANIES, INCLUDING BMW, DO PROVIDE REPLACEMENT CARS. MERCEDES' STONEWALLING IS OUTRAGEOUS PARTICULARLY IN LIGHT OF THIER DECISION TO SAVE A FEW BUCKS AND PUT THE PURCHASERS AT RISK. MERCEDES CHOSE TO BE A CHEAPSKATE AND SHOULD NOW SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES, NOT US INNOCENT PURCHASERS. THE MERCEDES TELEPHONE HOTLINE IS INOPERATIVE...THEY CLAIM TO BE BUSY AND NEVER ANSWER. THE RECORDING ALSO, CONTRARY TO THE LETTERS, CLAIMS THAT THERE IS NO DANGER? WHICH IS CORRECT? - THE LETTERS OR THE RECORDING? IF IT IS THE LETTERS,THEN THE RECORDING WOULD SEEM TO BE A LIE AND MERCEDES SHOULD BE PUNISHED FOR THAT. THE NHSTA SHOULD BE FINING MERCEDES FOR THEIR STONEWALLING AND DEMAND THAT THEY FIX THE DEFECT OR PROVIDE A REPLACEMENT.
TAKATA RECALL. I WAS INFORMED THAT THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIRBAGS HAD BOTH BEEN ISSUED A RECALL NOTICE. I CALLED MERCEDES-BENZ OF NAPLES IN NAPLES FLORIDA AND THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT GET REPLACEMENT PARTS. IT HAS BEEN SIX MONTHS AND NO WORD WHEN I MIGHT EXPECT A REMEDY. I WANT AN ANSWER AS TO WHEN I CAN EXPECT REPLACEMENT OF THESE AIR BAGS.
TAKATA RECALL. I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW, RECEIVED RECALL NOTICES FROM MBUSA IN MAY AND AUGUST 2016, STATING THAT MY DRIVER'S AND FRONT-PASSENGER AIRBAGS HAVE A DEFECT RELATED TO SAFETY. I HAVE MADE FOUR SPECIFIC VISITS TO THE DEALERSHIP IN SANTA MONICA, SIMONSON'S MERCEDES-BENZ, ASKING THAT MY AIRBAGS BE REPLACED. EACH TIME I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT THERE ARE NO REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS AVAILABLE.
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR REPLACEMENT SENCE 5/1/16 WHAT IS GOING ON IT NOW 1/28/18 ALMOST 2 YEARS WITH OUT REPLACEMENT.PLEASE LET ME NO WHEN I CAN GET THIS REPLACEED. THANK YOU

TAKATA RECALL. I'VE RECEIVED 3 NOTICES BY MERCEDES BENZ TO REPLACE MY TAKATA AIRBAGS. HOWEVER, MY DEALER SAYS THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS. I'VE CONTACTED THEM REPEATEDLY OVER THE PAST YEAR. MERCEDES BENZ IN CARLSBAD CALIFORNIA STATES THEY CANNOT FIX MY AIRBAGS WITHOUT PARTS AND THEY DO NOT KNOW WHEN THE PARTS WILL ARRIVE. PLEASE HELP GET MY CAR FIXED. I'M AFRAID TO DRIVE IT.

STILL NO PARTS AVAILABLE; IT'S BEEN YEARS. TAKATA EVEN SENT A NOTICE THEY WERE FILING BANKRUPTCY AND IN THE SAME POSTCARD SAID YOU CAN GET YOUR AIRBAG REPLACED BUT THAT IS NOT TRUE. PER MERCEDES, PARTS NOT YET AVAILABLE, EVEN IN THE HIGH-RISK (HIGH HUMIDITY) AREAS LIKE WHERE I AM. UNREAL!

TAKATA RECALL: DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN UNABLE TO REPLACE THE TAKATA AIRBAGS ON MY CAR. NOW TAKATA IS IN BANKRUPTCY, I NEED THE REPLACEMENT OF THE RECALLED AIRBAGS WITH SAFE AIRBAGS IMMEDIATELY.

TAKATA RECALL MY YEAR OF CAR, ZONE AND BEING DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG SHOULD MAKE MY CAR A PRIORITY IN THE RECALL. IT HAS BEEN 2 YEARS SINCE THE INITIAL NOTICE OF A RECALL. I HAVE FILED A PREVIOUS COMPLAINT WITH NHTSA- WHEN IS REAL ACTION GOING TO HAPPEN THIS IS NOT OK TO GIVE DATES CAR WILL BE FIXED LAST TIME WAS MARCH 2018 BUT NOW MAY 26TH AND NOTHING AGAIN!!
WE HAVE AN AIR BAG RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE DATING BACK TO FEBRUARY OF 2016. WE WANT IT TO BE REPLACED, SINCE WE HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IT IS DANGEROUS AS IS.

TAKATA RECALL ISSUED FOR BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIRBAG IN FEB AND MAY 2016 RESPECTIVELY. HAVE RECEIVED MANY NOTIFICATIONS ABOUT THE RECALL BUT LOCAL DEALER MERCEDES BENZ OF DELRAY ALWAYS STATES THAT PARTS ARE NOT YET AVAILABLE. GIVEN THAT IT'S WELL OVER A YEAR SINCE THE INITIAL RECALL NOTICE WAS RECEIVED IT'S QUITE DISTURBING THAT REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE. BECAUSE OF THE UNSAFE NATURE OF THESE AIRBAGS THIS CAR SITS UNUSED IN MY GARAGE, GETS VERY LITTLE USE AND STILL HAVE TO PAY AUTO INSURANCE FOR A CAR I'M NOT COMFORTABLE DRIVING.
TAKATA RECALL, IT HAS BEEN AN EXTREMELY LONG TIME TO GET MY AIRBAG REPLACED AND I AM AFRAID OF DRIVING MY CAR BECAUSE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF HAVING THE AIRBAG INFLATE AND HAVE METAL FRAGMENTS DEPLOYED AT MY (DRIVER) OR MY PASSENGERS FACES.
TAKATA RECALL: THE FRONT DRIVER'S AIRBAG IN MY CAR IS UNDER RECALL FROM A NOTICE I RECEIVED FROM MERCEDES-BENZ ON 2/11/2016. I HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED A FIX FROM MB ON MY AIRBAG AS OF 10/27/2017. I AM CONCERNED I COULD BE HURT OR KILLED IF MY AIRBAG GOES OFF.

TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL I RECEIVED THE FIRST LETTER IN THE MAIL ON MAY, 2016 EXPLAINING TO ME THAT ALL MERCEDES-BENS 2005 ' 2014 WHERE PART OF THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL AND MERCEDES WOULD BE WORKING WITH THE NHTSA TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM. ALSO, THEY TOLD ME ANOTHER LETTER WOULD ARRIVE NOTIFYING ME I COULD BRING MY VEHICLE TO MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP. A FEW MONTH LATER L RECEIVED A POSTCARD TELLING ME TO GO ON THE INTERNET TO UPDATE MY INFORMATION. THEN A YEAR AND A HALF LATER ON DECEMBER, 2017 I RECEIVED THE SECOND LETTER TELLING ME MY VEHICLE IS PART OF PRIORITY GROUP 4 AND REPLACEMENT PARTS WON'T BE AVAILABLE UNTIL MARCH 31, 2018. ON JANUARY, 2018 I RECEIVE THE THIRD LETTER TELLING ME MY VEHICLE IS NOW BEING MOVED TO PRIORITY GROUP 6 AND REPLACEMENT PARTS WON'T BE AVAILABLE UNTIL SEPTEMBER 30, 2018. ON JANUARY, 2019 A YEAR SINCE I RECEIVED THE LAST LETTER I WENT ON TO HTTPS://WWW.MBUSA.COM/RECALL AND I PUT IN MY INFORMATION AND THE WEBSITE TOLD ME THE PART AVAILABILITY IS EXPECTED FOR JULY, 2019. I FEEL MERCEDES DOESN'T WANT TO ACTUALLY FIX THE PROBLEM SINCE THEY STILL HAVE TO PAY THEIR EMPLOYEES TIME AND LABOR FOR A JOB THAT IS FREE. IN ADDITION, I'M AFRAID TO LET ANYONE ELSE DRIVE MY VEHICLE SINCE I FEEL UNSAFE DRIVING THE VEHICLE MYSELF. ALSO, MY GRANDSON HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM WITH HIS TOYOTA RAV-4 2004 HE GOT THE LETTER IN THE MAIL CALLED A LOCAL DEALERSHIP; THEY IMMEDIATELY SET HIM UP WITH AN APPOINTMENT BECAUSE THE LADY ON THE PHONE SAID IT HAD TO BE DONE ASAP. THAT WEEKEND MY GRANDSON BROUGHT HIS VEHICLE IN AND THEY FIXED IT WITHIN A COUPLE OF HOURS. ALMOST THREE YEARS LATER FEBRUARY 9, 2016 ' JANUARY 15, 2019 MERCEDES STILL HASN'T FIXED MY AIRBAG AND I FEEL THEY ARE TREATING MY SITUATION AS NO BIG DEAL. LASTLY, IF MERCEDES NEVER FIXES THE AIRBAG I MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO EVER SELL MY VEHICLE WHEN THE TIME COMES SINCE I STILL HAVE THE FAULTY TAKATA AIRBAG INSTALLED.

1. OIL LEAK FROM THE OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY IN THE DIESEL ENGINE. OBVIOUSLY, A CHEAP GASKET WAS USED TO SEAL IT! MB, WITH DIESEL EXPERIENCE OF OVER 80 YRS, SHOULD KNOW BY NOW WHAT MATERIAL THEY USE IN THEIR DIESEL ENGINE. THIS DEFECT WILL DEVELOP IN EVERY CAR THEY MADE IN THE SAME WAY AND THEY SHOULD RECALL THE CARS AND CORRECT THE ISSUE 2. THE DRIVER SEAT IS TORN ALONG THE TUFT IN THE SEAT.THIS IS HAPPENING ACROSS THE BOARD ION ALL MB CARS USING THE SAME MATERIALS. AGAIN, IT IS A MATERIAL ISSUE AND SHOULD BE CORRECTED. OLD MB SEATS LASTED FOR DECADES!
