Nearest dealership refused to complete the recall repairs. On March 6, during a moving traffic accident that totaled both cars, the air bags failed to deploy, resulting in injury to the driver (me).
TAKATA RECALL. I HAVE BEEN WAITING PATIENTLY SINCE FEBRUARY 2016, AND EVERY 6 MONTHS MERCEDES BENZ KEEPS DELAYING THE REMEDY TO THIS POTENTIALLY FATAL ISSUE. MY WIFE AND TODDLER RIDE IN THIS VEHICLE AND I'M ALWAYS IN FEAR THE AIRBAG CAN DEPLOY CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. HOW MUCH LONGER AM I SUPPOSED TO WAIT FOR THE PARTS TO BE READY WHILE MERCEDES BENZ IS MAKING RECORD PROFITS?
TAMARA RECALL. AIRBAGS WERE SUPPOSED TO BE REPLACED IN JUNE 2018. NEVER RECEIVED A FINAL NOTICE TO HAVE REPLACED. MY WIFE NO LONGER WANTS TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE OUT OF FEAR. NEEDS TO BE DONE IMMEDIATELY OR A LAWSUIT WILL BE FILED.

FRANKLY I'VE BEEN VERY PATIENT BUT I AM CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY KNOWING THIS DRAGGING ON FOR 2 YEARS NOW. I DRIVE ALMOST 100 MILES PER DAY ON MAJOR HIGHWAYS. I AM AWARE THAT OTHER MANUFACTURERS, OF LESS STATURE MIND YOU, ARE OFFERING AT NO COST A SUBSTITUTE OR LOANER/RENTAL VEHICLE UNTIL THE PARTS ARE MADE AVAILABLE.
