BOTH THE TRUNK AND WINDSHIELD SUSTAINED DAMAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 203,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, DEBRIS FROM THE PRECEDING VEHICLE STRUCK THE ROOF OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE FAILURE CAUSED THE PAINT TO CHIP. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A MECHANIC AND THEY STATED THAT THE PAINT WAS DELAMINATING. THE INSURANCE COMPANY STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE POWERTRAIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 60,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
TOE OF LEFT FOOT HITS PLASTIC PANEL DIRECTLY TO THE LEFT OF THE BRAKE PEDAL WHEN MOVING LEFT FOOT TO THE BRAKE PEDAL. INSUFFICIENT CLEARANCE ABOVE LEFT FOOT DUE TO THE PLASTIC PANEL THAT COVERS THE COURTESY LIGHT BULB.
