My car is stalling, shaking, shuddering, not accelerating and downshifting while I am on the highway almost killing me while attempting to inch my way across the lanes to the shoulder. With NO WARNING my vehicle completely broke down with my children in the car one is Non Verbal and on the Autism Spectrum with a serious heart condition- I myself am clinically diagnosed with PTSD and the terror I have experienced is absolutely devastating! I have made multiple calls with no help and no assistance whatsoever!
Car has stopped in middle of the road and engine just stalled. The battery light keeps flashing on and off even after alternator as been changed
Airbags did not deploy.
I bought this car from market place face book , the seller deleted his account. After the sale, so I felt suspicious and search in the google using rhe vin number and found out the mileage on VIN check page doesn’t match the number in the car
Took the car in for routine cvt fluid and filter change. Mechanic completed the task Took the vehicle for a road test and at highway speed the cvt transmission shifted to a higher gear and revved the motor rpms immediately over 6000 to 7000. Threw it into neutral and took back to the shop. It was diagnosed from their the transmission was ruined.
I got an accirdent Jan 9,2025 and my car was totally wreck. Im in body pain and therapy right now and in working status report because of my situation. The airbag didnt deployed at the time of accident. Mitsubishi outlander has 7 airbags , but nothing has comes out. This is very dangerous. God is really works for miracles coz me and my daughter are alive even were having pain in our body. I have photo and video inside and out of vehicle that airbags didnt deployed.
I bought this car used less than 30 days ago. It had 21362 miles on it. It made a weird nose when putting it into drive. Thought it might be a heatshield. Took it to a mitsubishi dealership for an outstanding recall. Ask them to check underneath. The exhaust pipe was rusted out. 3000 dollars to repair. The dealership didn't believe it cost that much so they used a mechanic they new to fix the issue 10/15/2024. We are not impressed with that repair. It seems the exhaust is not covered under the extended warranty. We feel that mitsubishi should cover this because they do have a warranty of 5-6 years for the exhaust system. A car with this low mileage should not already have the exhaust rusted out.
Starter clicks, doesn't turn engine. Tried rotating engine, engine will not turn past a certain angle. Removed spark plugs for cylinder inspection. 1,2, and 3 ok. Cylinder 4 spark plug extremely difficult to remove. Ground strap has been impacted by debris. Borescope inspection shows two broken off exhaust valves laying on the piston. Valve cover removed to inspect timing chain and sprokets. Chain and sprokets are intact. Engine reassembled besides cylinder 4 spark plug and coil pack.
Rear brake calipers sticking constantly. Emergency brake also sticking or loosing tension.
Vehicle will not go into reverse from drive. Must put vehicle in park then to reverse or it won’t back up.

The contact stated that "Slow - Transmission Overheating" message was displayed. The contact drove the vehicle to the residence but was unable to exceed 25 MPH. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The contact was informed by a third party that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V563000 (Power Train) that might be related to the failure. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.
The lights for the air bags is on ,
The Rear middle and Right side seat belts will NOT latch any longer.
Cannot remove key after car is off and in parked and engine lights keeps coming on and off throwing off a code making it hard for car to start sometimes

The contact stated that the dealer refused to perform the software update on the vehicle because the vehicle had a Salvage Title. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

The contact stated that the Service Engine soon and the transmission service warning lights were illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing a transmission flush. The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience the failure. The contact stated the vehicle continued to experience the failure. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

The contact stated while driving approximately 70 MPH with the cruise control activated, the vehicle inadvertently lost motive power momentarily with an unknown message was displayed. The vehicle then regained motive power independently and the RPM was elevated to 7,000. The contact stated that there was a hole in the transmission housing and the lower engine block. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 111,000.
The car does not accelerate if it goes pastb40 mph the vehicle shakes. Also the battery goes down quickly. Also the oil change does not last as it should. The car has been repaired several times.Also the battery had to within one year. Something drains the battery. I recently had to purchase another battery. Something is draining the battery
WITHIN 16,000 MILES OF OWNING MY I NOTICED IT WOULD RANDOMLY STALL SOMETIMES AT THE STOP LIGHT OF AN INTERSECTION. IT DOESN'T TAKE LONG TO START BACK UP EVEN ACCELERATING . SEVERAL MONTHS WENT BY WHERE THE ISSUE WAS NO LONGER PRESENT BUT OVER THE PAST FEW MONTH IT STARTED AGAIN. I GET TUNE UPS TWICE A YEAR
ON DECEMBER 23, 2020 I WAS DRIVING APRX 30 MPH. I BREAK TO GO OVER A TRAIN TRACK BRINGING MY SPEED TO ROUGHLY 20MPH. I HEARD A NOISE THAT SOUNDED LIKE METAL BUT I FIGURED IT WAS FROM THE TRAIN TRACKS. THERE WAS A WIDE BEND A FEW FEET UP THE WAY. I GET MY SPEED TO 40MPH AND START GOING AROUND THE BEND. I SLOW DOWN AND TRY TURNING TO TURN THE WHEEL. I COULD TURN THE WHEEL BUT THE CAR WAS NOT MOVING IN THE DIRECTION I WAS TURNING. I PRESS THE BREAK BUT I BEGAN TO HYDROPLANE CAUSING ME AND MY 3 CHILDREN TO CRASH INTO A HUGE DITCH DRAIN. UPON FARTHER INSPECTION THE TOWER IDENTIFIED THE CAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT WAS MY WHEEL ALIGNMENT. MY WHEELS WERE NOT POINTING THE SAME DIRECTION MEANING SOMETHING WITH THE STEERING BROKE (POSSIBLY THE NOISE I HEARD.) I HAVE RESEARCHED SINCE THIS DAY AND FOUND THAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUES WITH THEIR OUTLANDERS STARTING IN 2008.
WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD 55 MPH WAS THE SPEED LIMIT THE DING WENT OFF AIR BAG LIGHT FLASHED IN RED BUT QUICKLY WENT OFF. DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO READ WHAT IT SAID JUST SEEN AIRBAG ON THE DASHBOARD WHERE THE SPEED IS BIG LETTERS.
MY REAR PASSENGER TIRE WENT FLAT, WHILE REMOVING THE STUDS , ONE BROKE OFF, THIS IS A NEW 2019 VEHICLE, THIS VEHICLE IT TOO NEW TO HAVE THE STUD BREAK OFF MY VEHICLE WAS IN MY DRIVEWAY
I WENT TO TURN ON MY CALL AND MY BACK WINDOW ON THE PASSENGER SIDE SHATTERED. IT DIDN'T HAVE PHYSICAL DAMAGE TO IT AND IT SHATTER IN AND OUT IT WAS LIKE IT WASN'T INSTALLED CORRECTLY OR SOMETHING. IT DAMAGED MY PAIN ON THE DOOR AND THE INSIDE PLASTIC AS WELL.
BRAKE ACTIVATED AND AT A COMPLETE STOP, THEN THE CAR STARTED MOVING FROM A COMPLETE STOP WHILE FOOT IS ALL THE WAY ON THE BRAKE. CAR DID NOT REGISTER SPEED AT THIS TIME.
WHEN TURNING ON THERE IS A KNOCKING SOUND. ALSO WHEN DRIVING IT SLIDES TO RIGHT. WITHOUT TURNING. KNOCKING SOUND ALL THE TIME. BRAKING IT SLIDES.
