TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR GLASS SHATTERED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY A POLICE OFFICER AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE OFFICER INFORMED THE CONTACT TO PARK THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE FAILURE. THE DEALER (PERUZZI MITSUBISHI, 130 LINCOLN HWY, FAIRLESS HILLS, PA 19030) WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL TO COVER THE REPAIR. THE INSURANCE COMPANY WAS NOTIFIED AND WAS TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE AND COVER THE REPLACEMENT OF THE REAR GLASS. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER INDICATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE.

REAR PASSENGER WINDOWS COMING OUT OF THE TRACK AND OR OPENING OUT OF THE WINDOW, OPENING TO THE EXTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE, THEN WINDOWS ARE INOPERATIVE LEAVING THE VEHICLE NOT SAFETY. THE DOOR NEEDED TO DISARMED THE INNER PANEL TO WORK TO INSTALL THE WINDOWS IN THE TRACKS, IN A FEW OPERATIONS OF THE WINDOWS, IT GOIN OUT AGAIN. *TR
I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY HEATER SINCE THE TIME I BOUGHT MY CAR. I CURRENTLY OWN A 2007 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER. THE PROBLEM I AM HAVING DEALS WITH THE POOR INSIDE HEATING OF MY VEHICLE. FOR EXAMPLE, ONCE MY VEHICLE IS WARMED UP AND I AM DRIVING ALONG THE ROAD, I AM ABLE TO FEEL VERY HOT AIR COME OUT OF THE VENTS. HOWEVER, ANYTIME I STOP SOMEWHERE SUCH AS AT A RED LIGHT OR STOP SIGN, THE HEAT IMMEDIATELY DISAPPEARS AND FEELS LIKE FRIDGE AIR COMING THROUGH THE VENTS. ONCE I REV THE ENGINE UP, THE HOT AIR RETURNS. I BELIEVE THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE DEALT WITH BECAUSE IF I AM STUCK ON THE HIGHWAY DURING A WINTER STORM, I DO NOT BELIEVE MY CAR WILL PUT OUT ENOUGH HOT AIR TO KEEP ME WARM. ALSO, FORGET ABOUT TRYING TO DEFROST THE WINDSHIELD AND WINDOWS. IF IT IS AROUND 20 DEGREES OUTSIDE AND I START MY VEHICLE AND LET IT WARM UP, EVEN THOUGH THE ENGINE IS 100% WARMED UP, IT DOES NOT PUT OUT ENOUGH HOT AIR TO DEFROST MY WINDSHIELD. THE AIR IS NO WHERE WARM ENOUGH TO EVEN MELT THE SNOW AND ICE LET ALONE THE FOG. BIG SAFETY PROBLEM IF I HAVE TO STOP SOMEWHERE AND I AM UNABLE TO DEFROST THE FOG ON MY WINDSHIELD. I HAVE TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO TWO SEPARATE MITSUBISHI SERVICE CENTERS AND THEY HAVE TRIED SEVERAL COMPUTER UPDATES, TESTS, AND TRIED REPLACING THE ENGINE HEATER DOOR, WITH NO REAL OUTCOME. I WAS TOLD THIS WAS THE WAY SOME OF THE 2007 MODELS WERE DESIGNED. THE SERVICE REP SPECIFICALLY TOLD ME THAT THIS WAS A DESIGN FLAW. I HAVE CONTACTED MITSUBISHI CORPORATE AND WAS TOLD MY VEHICLE IS RUNNING THE WAY IT WAS DESIGNED. THEY WILL NOT REIMBURSE ME TOWARDS A NEW VEHICLE OR DO ANYTHING TO TRY AND FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY WILL NOT ADMIT TO THE DESIGN FLAW. I AM VERY UNSATISFIED AND ALSO FEEL UNSAFE IN MY VEHICLE DURING THE WINTER. *TR
SIDE VIEW MIRRORS I AM A SENIOR CITIZEN, AVERAGE HEIGHT 5'3". I HAVE CONTACTED MITSUBISHI MOTORS TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE SIDE VIEW MIRRORS ON MY CAR, TO WHICH THEY RESPONDED 'THE SIDE VIEW MIRRORS MEET U.S. SAFETY STANDARDS'. I HAVE BEEN TERRIBLY CONCERNED ABOUT MY MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER'S OVERSIZED SIDE VIEW MIRRORS, BOTH ON THE DRIVER AS WELL AS PASSENGER SIDES. THEY ARE NOT ONLY AWKWARDLY PLACED, HEIGHTWISE, BUT ARE ALSO HINGED IN A WAY THAT CREATES HUGE BLIND SPOTS ON BOTH SIDES. THEY OBSCURE MY VISION, CREATING BLIND SPOTS WHEN CHANGING LANES, WHEN MAKING TURNS, AT PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS. I HAVE TO STOP FOR SEVERAL MINUTES TO CLEAR BOTH SIDES, IN ADDITION, I HAVE TO RAISE MYSELF IN MY SEAT TO CLEAR THE HEIGHT OF THE MIRRORS. I HAVE HAD INNUMERABLE 'NEAR MISSES' BECAUSE THEY BLOCK MY VIEW OF APPROACHING CARS TO MY RIGHT/LEFT. THE REASON I FINALLY AM WRITING TO YOU IS BECAUSE I ALMOST HIT A PEDESTRIAN A FEW WEEKS AGO, DUE TO THE MIRROR BLOCKING MY VISION OF THE INDIVIDUAL CROSSING. IN ADDITION, THEY HAVE BEEN KNOCKED OFF BECAUSE THEY EXTEND SO FAR FROM THE MAINFRAME OF THE CAR, CAUSING ME HUGE REPAIR COSTS. I REQUEST YOU ADVISE ME HOW TO GET MITSUBISHI'S ATTENTION TO REMEDY THIS HUGE PROBLEM, AND HOW I CAN PURSUE THIS MATTER SO THAT THIS DESIGN FLAW IS RECTIFIED. THE REAR GLASS ON OUR 2007 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER SHATTERED. IT WAS ABOUT 30 DEGREES OUTSIDE AND WE TURNED ON THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER, AND LET THE CAR WARM UP FOR A FEW MINUTES, THEN STARTED DRIVING, AND TURNED ON THE REAR WINDSHIELD WIPER. THE GLASS SHATTERED AND FELL INTO THE CAR. *TR

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WAS REPLACED THREE TIMES SINCE THE DATE OF PURCHASE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
