Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)HI, WHEN YOU HAVE THE A/C ON MAX AND YOUR HEAD LIGHTS ON THE LIGHTS DIM EVERY TIME THE A/C COMPRESSOR KICK ON AND STAYS DIM UNTIL THE COMPRESSOR KICKS OFF. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER THEY SAID THE BATTERY WAS BAD AND REPLACED IT. THE PROBLEM WAS STILL THERE THEY HAD ME BRING IT BACK IN AND THEY KEPT IT FOR SEVEN HOUR AND CALLED ME TO COME PICK IT UP THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG. THEY SAID THERE WAS NO DIMMING AND THE ALTERNATOR IS PUTTING OUT FINE WITH EVERYTHING TURNED ON. I STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM AND WHEN GOING DOWN THE ROAD DEPENDING ON HOW MUCH THE COMPRESSOR IS KICK IT LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE FLASHING YOUR LIGHTS AT THE CAR AHEAD OF YOU. IF YOU GO ON MITSUBISHI FORUM WEB SITE THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FROM 2003 TO 2011 AND PEOPLE ARE BEING LIED TO BY THE DEALERS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY OTHER MACHINES THAT THE ALTERNATORS ARE TO SMALL AND BEING STRESSED AND WILL FAIL. I HAVE A LOT OF TRAVELING TO DO STARTING NEXT MONTH TO OTHER STATES I NEED THIS FIXED. I WORRY ABOUT BEING BEHIND A POLICE OFFICER WITH MY LIGHTS FLICKERING. *TR
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
