I HAVE A BRAND NEW FIRESTONE T135/70/R16 TIRE IN MY TRUNK THAT HAVE NEVER HIT THE GROUND.I HAD A FLAT AND WENT TO USE THE SPARE TIRE THAT WAS BRAND NEW FROM FIRESTONE AND SEEN THE TIRE HAD SEPARATED IN THE MIDDLE WITH THE RUBBLE COMING OUT,THIS COULD HAVE BEEN DANGEROUS AND CAUSED ME MY LIFE,IF THE YOUNG MAN THAT WAS HELPING ME CHANGED MY TIRE WOULDN'T HAVEN SEEN THE RUBBER CIMING OUT OF THE TIRE,I THINK YOU ALL NEEDS TO CHECK ALL THE FIRESTONE DONUT TIRES THAT ARE IN NISSAN BEFORE SOMEONE LOSE THEIR LIFE.FIRESTONE DOESN,T WANT TO TAKE ANY LIABILITY FOR THE PROBLEM I REPORTED ABOUTH THESE TIRES,THAT WHY I AM WRITING YOU ALL,MAYBE THEY,LL RESPOND TO YOU CAUSED THEY,RE DEFINITE NOT PAYING ME ANY ATTENION,I AM THE LITTLE FELLOW GOING AGAINST THE GIANT
TL - THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 NISSAN ALTIMA EQUIPPED WITH DUNLOP, TIRE LINE: SPORTS 7000, AND TIRE SIZE 215/60R16. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE WOULD SHAKE SHIMMY AND SWAY. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A MECHANIC AND THE DIAGNOSIS WAS THE TIRES WAS FEATHERING. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THE TIRES HAD A BUMP IN THE TIRED. THE TIRES WERE NOT REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE OF THE TIRES WAS UNAVAILABLE AND THE VEHICLE WAS 221,947. BT
I JUST WANT TO LET SOMEONE KNOW THAT I TRAVEL BACK IN FORTH TO WORK EVERY WEEK AND THERE WERE MAJOR BUMPS IN THE ROAD AND IT TORE UP MY TIRES. I PAY A LOT OF MONEY FOR MY TIRES AND I HAD TO REPLACE THEM WHICH COSTS ME ALOT OF MONEY AND NOT ONLY THAT MY RIMS ARE BENT UP . DT THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE SEPARATED FROM INSIDE TOP ON OCTOBER 1, 2005. HAD NOT CONTACTED THE DEALER AT THIS POINT. THE REAR END HAD BEEN MAKING A ROARING SOUND AT 65 MPH, SLOWED DOWN TO 50 MPH, AND THEN A FEW SECONDS LATER COULD HEAR THE PLOPPING SOUND. I HAVE A 2002 NISSAN, ALTIMA THAT CAME WITH CONTINENTIAL TIRES. THE TIRES SIZE IS 200/65-16'S. THEY HAVE 28K WEAR ON THEM . I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER BECAUSE I NOTICED THAT MY CAR WAS PULLING TO THE RIGHT. AFTER AN ALIGNMENT, THE CAR IS PULLING TO THE LEFT. NOW THE DEALER IS TELLING ME THAT ITS MY TIRES, THAT I NEED TO REPLACE THE 2 FRONT TIRES BECAUSE OF WEAR. THIS SEEMS OUT OF LINE TO ME BECAUSE I HAVE NEVER HAD TIRES WEAR TO THE POINT THAT THEY NEED TO BE REPLACE TO PUT MY CAR IN ALIGNMENT. ORIGINAL SET WAS REPLACED (50/50% PAYED) BETWEEN NISSAN CORPORATION & CONTINENTAL CORPORATION AT APPROX. 18,000 MILES ON VEHICLE.*AK REPLACEMENT SET SHOWING/DISPLAYING SAME PROBLEMS....PRE-MATURE WEAR, CRACKS IN TREADS, FLAT SPOTS. TIRES HAVE BEEN ROTATED AT SUGGESTED MANUFACTURER INTERVALS, AND I HAVE SERVICE RECORDS TO VERIFY AGAIN.
MY RIGHT FRONT BRIDGESTONE TURANZA EL42 (P205/65R16) TIRE CAME OFF THE RIM AS A WHOLE WHILE DRIVING NORTHBOUND ON THE GARDEN STATE PARKWAY. HAD UNUSUAL TIRE BLOWOUT/SEPARATION DRIVING AT CITY SPEEDS NOT GREATER THAN 40MPH. DID NOT RUN OVER NAIL OR GLASS OR HAVE PUNCTURE.HESE WERE BRAND NEW TIRES WITH LESS THAN 1000 MILES ON THEM. BOUGHT FROM BIG O.*AK CONTINENTAL P205 65 R16 94T. THE TIRE HAD TO BE COMPLETELY REPLACED.
THERE WERE PROBLEMS WITH TIRE EQUIPMENT ON 2002 NISSAN ALTIMA. *MR THE LEFT REAR AND RIGHT REAR TIRE DEVELOPED A DEFECT HIGH ON THE WALL. THERE WERE NO FOREIGN OBJECTS IN THE ROAD TO CAUSE A TOTAL LOSS OF PRESSURE. THE CONSUMER WOULD LIKE TO BE REIMBURSE FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE TIRES. *PH *JB *SC

DRIVER SIDE REAR TIRE BLEWOUT AT 70MPH ON I-85 IN ATLANTA , GA ON JULY 26, 2002, AT APPROX 4:30PM. NO ACCIDENT OR INJURY, AS I WAS ABLE TO KEEP CONTROL OF THE CAR. A CONTINENTAL TIRE DEALER EXAMINED THE TIRE AND SAID THERE WAS NO SIGN OF A PUNCTURE OR DAMAGE FROM ROAD HAZARD. THE DEALER COULD NOT DETERMINE WHY THE TIRE FAILED. THE FAILUR WAS A SEPERATION OF THE TREAD FROM THE SIDE WALLS. THE DEALER CONTACTED CONTINENTAL AND THEY AGREED TO REPLACE THE TIRE AT NO CHARGE.*AK
