WORK/REPAIR ORDERS, AVAILABLE ON REQUEST. IT APPEARS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE WITH NISSAN ALTIMA'S FEATURING THE CTV TRANSMISSION. 1) PURCHASED THE CAR FROM HERTZ, 12/13. 2) ACCELERATION PROBLEM NOTED WHEN FIRST EXTENDED TRIP WAS TAKEN TO BAKERSFIELD IN 5/14. 3) PROBLEM: WHEN THE ENGINE WAS WARM THE TRANSMISSION SENSOR FAILS AND CAR CAN NOT ACCELERATE. CAR FAILED GOING OVER THE "GRAPEVINE" IN GORMAN, CA. 4) UNDER NISSAN 60M WARRANTY, TOOK THE CAR TO GET CHECKED. CAR HAD 59M MILES ON IT. EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM. THEY CLAIMED IT WAS A THROTTLE SENSOR. FIXED IT UNDER WARRANTY. 5) NEXT TRIP TO LAS VEGAS, GOING UP THE I-15 THROUGH VICTORVILLE, AUG/2014. THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED. ACCELERATION FAILED WHEN ENGINE WAS WARM AND CLIMBING A GRADUAL INCLINE. 6) TOOK THE CAR BACK TO BP NISSAN. NOW THEY CLAIM TO KNOW FOR SURE THE PROBLEM WAS NOT WITH THE THROTTLE SENSOR BUT WITH THE CTV TRANSMISSION. UNFORTUNATELY THEY NOW CLAIM MY CAR IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY AND REQUIRES A $4,000.00 NEW TRANSMISSION. 7) AFTER RESEARCHING THE PROBLEM IT APPEARS THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR THE NEW ALTIMA CTV TRANSMISSION. THEY NEW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS WHEN I FIRST BROUGHT THE CAR IN WITH 59M MILES ON IT. THEY "KICKED THE CAN DOWN THE ROAD" HOPING I WOULDN'T COME BACK UNTIL AFTER THE 60M MILE WARRANTY EXPIRED. DANGEROUS SITUATION HAVING TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE FREEWAY. ESPECIALLY WITH KIDS IN THE CAR. THEY REFUSE TO GIVE ME A "DECLINE OF SERVICE" LETTER. PLEASE ADVISE. ALTIMA WAS SERVICED AT A DEALERSHIP LESS THAN A WEEK AGO FOR OIL AND FILTER CHANGE. I WAS DRIVING THE 2012 ALTIMA FROM WORK ON 4/10/14. IT LOOKED THE CAR WAS STALLING ON THE HIGHWAY MULTIPLE TIMES. I SLOWED DOWN AND MANAGED TO GET HOME, ALL ALONG IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS GOING TO STOP ANY TIME, LUCKILY IT DID NOT HAPPEN. BUT THIS MORNING (4/11/14) IT STOPPED ON THE DRIVEWAY STALLED AFTER MOVING 15 FEET. TOWED THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET IT REPAIRED. *JS
2012 NISSAN ALTIMA. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO CVT TRANSMISSION FAILURE. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED HE STARTED NOTICING LITTLE GLITCHES, IN OTHERWISE SMOOTH RIDES. THEN HE STARTED EXPERIENCING A 2-3 SECOND DELAY BETWEEN DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR AND THE VEHICLE ACTUALLY MOVING. ON WEDNESDAY APRIL 9, 2014, HE WAS BARELY ABLE TO DRIVE TO WORK, AND HAD TO COAST WITH HIS HAZARD LIGHTS ON. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER, WHERE THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED IT WOULD COST $ 3911 TO FIX THE CVT TRANSMISSION.
PUSHED BRAKE TO START STOPPING, BRAKES SHUTTERED. LET UP ON BRAKE, THEN REAPPLIED AND IT SHUTTERED AGAIN. THIS CONTINUED. CHECKED BRAKE FLUID, IT WAS DOWN SLIGHTLY, PUT IN TO FILL. PROBLEM BETTER BUT STILL EXISTS, NOW AIR COMPRESSOR GONE.. THIS CAR WAS BOUGHT IN OCT 2012 WHAT A LEMON. THANK GOODNESS IT IS A LEASE. NOISE UNDER CAR SINCE DAY BOUGHT. AT 30 MPH IT SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING HITS SOMETHING UNDER THERE. DEALER SAYS, JUST NATURE OF CAR. I DO NOT BUY THAT EXPLANATION. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE IN PARK, THE CONTACT NOTICED WATER INSIDE THE DOOR PANELS OF THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE DOORS OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT HAD TO SHAKE THE DOORS IN ORDER TO GET THE WATER OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE SEALS TO THE DOOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE PART NOT BEING AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE DRIVING DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE DOORS FAILED TO LOCK AND UNLOCK ON A COUPLE OF OCCASIONS. THE FAILURE BECAME PROGRESSIVELY WORSE OVER THE YEARS. THE CONTACT WAS LOCKED INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE WITHOUT WARNING NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. DRIVING LONG DISTANCES MY CAR OVERHEATS, LOOSES POWER GOING FROM 70 MPH DOWN TO 40 MPH IN HIGH SPEED TRAFFIC. I AM FORCED TO GET OFF THE HIGHWAY AND LET IT RESET ITSELF. IT HAS ALWAYS MADE A WHINING NOISE DURING ACCELERATION, AND THE BRAKES HAVE SQUEAKED FROM DAY ONE. I HAVE COMPLAINED TO NISSAN SEVERAL TIMES AND AM ALWAYS BEEN GIVEN LAME EXCUSES. NOW THAT MY WARRANTY IS UP THEY HAVE A SOLUTION TO MY PROBLEMS. NEW TRANSMISSION OR OVERHEAT CONVERTER TO THE TUNE OF $1600. HOW CONVENIENT THEY HAVE A SOLUTION NOT THAT MY CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY!! THEY REFUSE TO HELP ME OR FIX MY CAR UNLESS I FORK OVER THE MONEY. MY CAR HAS HAD PROBLEMS SINCE I PURCHASED IT AND THERE WAS NEVER ANY RESOLVE. I PURCHASED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AS I DO A LOT OF DRIVING. MY CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY 2,000 MILES WHEN THEY MIRACULOUSLY FOUND A CAUSE AND SOLUTION FOR MY PROBLEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, ONE OF THE TIRES FLATTENED. THE LOW TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR WAS NOT ILLUMINATED. WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO PROPERLY ACCELERATE. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION AND TRANSMISSION AXLE ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IN ADDITION, THE TRANSMISSION FLUID PAN WAS CRACKED. THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR MALFUNCTION. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURES RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,150.
DASH IS MELTING AND SHINY CREATING A GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE WHEN DRIVING. THIS STARTED YEARS AGO AND ONLY GETS WORSE. IT HAS BEEN REPORTED SEVERAL TIMES TO DEALER. I HAVE TO DRIVE BUT IT IS VERY DANGEROUS AND I CANNOT BELIEVE NISSAN IS TAKING THE CHANCE AND NOT FIXING THIS PROBLEM.
THE LIGHTS ON DIM ARE SO DIM YOU CAN'T SEE THE ROAD. YOU HAVE TO PUT ON BIGHTS TO SEE THE ROAD.
THE 'AIRBAG OFF' LIGHT FOR THE PASSENGER SEAT TURNS ON RANDOMLY, REGARDLESS OF WHO IS IN THE SEAT (140+ POUNDS). THE CAR WAS PURCHASED OFF LEASE LAST YEAR FROM EAST COAST AUTO MALL, 340 SYLVAN AVE, ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NJ 07632. WE CALLED THEM AND ASKED ABOUT IF THE AIRBAG WOULD DEPLOY IF THE LIGHT WAS ON, EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS AN ADULT IN THE SEAT, THIS WAS THEIR RESPONSE: "WELL NO.. BUT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE WEARING A SEAT BELT." LAST NISSAN I'LL BUY, AFTER OWNING 4 CONSECUTIVELY. *TR
BOUGHT THIS CAR NOV 30 2013 FROM THE DEALER THAT ORIGINALLY OWNED IT, IT WAS A LOANER CAR FOR THEIR SERVICE DEPT. FROM DAY ONE THAT I HAVE OWNED IT, THE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT GOES ON AN OFF AT WILL. WITH NOTHING IN THE SEAT, IT COMES ON AND OFF, WITH A PERSON IN THE SEAT IT ALSO COMES ON AND OFF. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE! I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID IT DIDN'T DO IT WHILE THEY WERE LOOKING AT IT. BRING IT BACK WHEN IT GETS WORSE.... THERE ARE ALOT OF THESE CARS OUT THERE WITH THIS PROBLEM! THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THE SENSOR/SEAT/ELECTRICAL SYSTEM RELATED TO THIS. I AM SURE THERE IS A SHORT IN THE SYSTEM. MY GRANDMOTHER'S 2012 ALTIMA ALSO DOES THIS SAME THING. ALSO SOMETHING IS LEAKING ONTO THE PASSENGER SIDE FLOORBOARD BY THE CONSOLE. THE DEALER SAID IT WAS A BODY PANEL AND "FIXED" IT, BUT IT IS STILL LEAKING IN THE SAME SPOT, I HAVE NOT HAD TIME TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALER YET FOR THE LEAK. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. THE PROBLEM RECURRED ABOUT FOUR TIMES AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE THE MECHANIC COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO ANOTHER INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO ALSO COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT N REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. MY ISSUE CONCERNS THE EXTREMELY BRIGHT HEADLIGHTS (ESPECIALLY AFTERMARKET HALOGEN) THAT ARE ALLOWED TO BE INSTALLED ON CARS AND WORSE ON SUV'S AND PICK-UP TRUCKS. THESE LIGHTS ARE BLINDING IN NORMAL HIGHWAY NIGHT TRAVEL, ESPECIALLY WHEN OPPOSING DRIVERS USE THEM AT THE HIGH BEAM LEVEL. IT IS WORSE WHEN A CAR DRIVER IS OPPOSED BY A SUV OR A PICK-UP TRUCK WHOSE LIGHTS ARE MOUNTED ABOUT ONE FOOT HIGHER THAN THE ONES MOUNTED ON A TYPICAL CAR. MY WIFE'S ACCIDENT WHEN SHE ENTERED THE LEFT TURN LANE OF A HIGHWAY WITH A SINGLE LANE IN EACH DIRECTION WITH A DEDICATED LEFT TURN LANE AT THE INTERSECTION. AS MY WIFE'S CAR SAT IN THE LEFT TURN LANE, IT WAS DIRECTLY OPPOSITE A SUV OR PICK-UP TRUCK WITH EXTREMELY BRIGHT LIGHTS THAT BLINDS YOU FROM SEEING ANYTHING BEYOND THE PLANE OF THE HEADLIGHTS. WHEN THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL TURNED GREEN, THE OPPOSING VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE. MY WIFE EVENTUALLY DECIDED TO EASE SLOWLY OUT. STILL UNABLE TO SEE, SE WAS EVENTUALLY INTO THE INTERSECTION WHERE SHE WAS HIT BY A CAR IN THE THROUGH LANE. THESE HALOGEN LIGHTS ARE NOT NECESSARY FOR MOST DRIVING. THE HEIGHT DIFFERENTIAL OF HEADLIGHTS BETWEEN CARS AND SUV'S IS ABOUT ONE FOOT AND IS DANGEROUS. IT ALSO VERY BAD ON COUNTRY ROADS WITH NO CENTERLINES OR NO EDGE LINES. IF YOU ENCOUNTER A VEHICLE ON THIS TYPE OF A COUNTRY ROAD AND THE ROAD AHEAD CURVES - LOOK OUT - YOU HAVE A GOOD CHANCE OF RUNNING OFF THE ROAD. ANOTHER THING THAT MAKES THIS ISSUE WORSE IS OLDER DRIVERS WHO HAVE HAD CATARACT SURGERY. THIS INCREASES THE INTENSITY OF THE LIGHTS. IN THE INTEREST OF TRAFFIC SAFETY, ALL VEHICLE HEADLIGHTS ON PASSENGER CARS, SUV'S AND PICK-UP TRUCKS SHOULD HAVE THE SAME HEIGHT. AND THE BRIGHTNESS OF THE LIGHTS SHOULD HAVE A MAXIMUM VALUE. I KNOW THAT THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY WILL PREVENT THIS ISSUE FROM BECOMING REALITY. BUT IT IS A NEEDED CHANGE. THANKS FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE. *TR
SINCE WHEN MY CAR HAD 31,000 MILES IT'S BEEN WINGING AND LOSING POWER RAPIDLY, NO ACCELERATION, IT'S A CVT TRANSMISSION ISSUE. IT'S A REALLY DANGEROUS CAR. IT'S BEEN HAPPENING SO MANY TIMES . NISSAN CVT TRANSMISSION ARE VERY DANGER. IT CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT IN THE FREEWAY BECAUSE IT CAN GO FROM 65 MPH DOWN TO 5 MPH RAPIDLY AND UNEXPECTEDLY. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT AND PROTECT THE LIFE OF PEOPLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR TIRES BECAME WORN. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL TIRE DEALER TO HAVE THE TIRES REPLACED. HOWEVER, THE TIRES COULD NOT BE ALIGNED CORRECTLY DUE TO FAULTY CALIPERS. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER'S SIDE SEAT BELT FAILED AND CONSTRICTED THE CHILD BEING RESTRAINED IN THE SEAT. THE CHILD SUSTAINED MINOR BRUISING AS A RESULT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS FOUND THAT THE SEAT BELT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,340.
THE PAINT ON THE HOOD CAME OFF IN A CHUNK, DURING A CAR WASH. IT AS REPORTED TO THE DEALER AND NISSAN DIRECTLY. AFTER THEY GAVE ME THE RUNAROUND FOR 6+ MONTHS, NISSAN SAID IT WAS NOT THEIR PROBLEM, THAT IT WAS AN ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE. I HAVE SINCE HAD THE CAR REPAIRED. THE HOOD NEEDED TO BE TAKEN DOWN TO BARE METAL, AND REPAINTED. THE COST WAS OVER $500.00. NOW THE ROOF IS DOING THE SAME AS THE HOOD.I AM NOT A HAPPY NISSAN OWNER. *TR
WHEN I TRY TO START THE CAR, THE POWER COMES ON(RADIO COMES ON, DASHBOARD LIGHTS), BUT THE IGNITION DOESN'T START. THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 15K MILES ON IT. *TR

THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS WITH TWO DIFFERENT KEYS. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT NO SOLUTION WAS OFFERED. I HAD PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT AT A LOCAL GYM, AS I PLACED THE CAR IN PARK, THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO STAY IN DRIVE AND SURGED FORWARD INTO THE BUILDING. ONCE THE VEHICLE HIT THE BUILDING, I ONCE AGAIN TRIED TO PLACE THE CAR IN PARK, AND IT ONCE AGAIN SURGED FORWARD AND HIT THE BUILDING. THE ONLY WAY I COULD STOP THE CAR WAS TO HIT THE POWER BUTTON TO TURN THE CAR OFF. ONCE THE OFFICER ARRIVED ON SCENE, HE ASKED ME TO PLACE THE CAR IN NEUTRAL SO THAT HE COULD MOVE THE CAR OFF THE CURB, HOWEVER, THE CAR CONTINUED TO MOVE FORWARD. AS A RESULT THE CAR WAS ONCE AGAIN POWERED DOWN TO AVOID ANY FURTHER INCIDENT. *TR
POWER LOCKS/WINDOWS WERE SLOW. CONTACTED NISSAN AND SPOKE TO [XXX] THAT TOLD ME WE NEEDED TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER, BUT IT WAS NOT COVERED BECAUSE OF THE MILEAGE. I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THE MILEAGE HAD TO DO WITH THE WINDOWS AND LOCKS. NISSAN TOOK CARE OF THE ISSUE. IN JANUARY 2013 THEY ALL WENT OUT AND CONTACTED [XXX] AGAIN. THEY WOULD NOT PAY FOR THE WORK UNTIL WE PAID OUT OF POCKET AND THEY REIMBURSED US MINUS THE LABOR. WELL IT IS ALMOST A YEAR LATER AND THE WINDOWS ARE ACTING UP AGAIN. CVT TRANSMISSION AND (UN)"SAFE MODE" THIS HAS OCCURRED ON MULTIPLE TRIPS ON THE HIGHWAY AT SPEEDS 60-80 MPH THAT ARE USUALLY IN EXCESS OF 70 MILES. THE VEHICLES TRANSMISSION WILL GO INTO "SAFE MODE". THE VEHICLES TRANSMISSION WILL NO LONGER REV ABOVE 2900 RPM WHICH INHIBITS THE VEHICLES ABILITY TO MAINTAIN SAFE HIGHWAY SPEEDS ESPECIALLY IF ANY SORT OF INCLINE IS INTRODUCED (IT IS HARD TO MAINTAIN A SPEED OF 45MPH AND THERE IS MINIMAL ABILITY TO ACCELERATE). THE ONLY REMEDY I HAVE DISCOVERED IS TO LET THE VEHICLE COOL DOWN. AFTER THE FIRST OCCURRENCE AT ~ 40,000 MILES THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP WHO STATED THEY COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE (CODES OR OBVIOUS DEFECTS). AFTER THE SECOND OCCURRENCE THE DEALERSHIP STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT FIND AN ISSUE, HOWEVER NISSAN EXTENDED THE WARRANTY OUT TO 100,000 MILES. THE TRANSMISSION WILL STILL GO INTO SAFE MODE FROM TIME TO TIME AND HAS ADDITIONALLY BEGAN MAKING A QUITE OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD WHINING NOISE (AT ~ 60,000 MILES, SIMILAR TO WHEN A POWER STEERING PUMP IS A ABOUT TO FAIL).
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE AND LOST POWER AS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE PO744, CVT A AND B TEMP WERE FOUND OUT OF SPECIFICATION AND THE TRANSMISSION FLUID NEEDED REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 112,000.
TL - THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA EQUIPPED WITH CONTINENTAL TIRES, LINE: CONTI PRO CONTACT, SIZE: 215/45/17. AGAIN I LIMPED BACK TO MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALER AND THIS TIME THEY DIAGNOSED THAT I NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION AND THEY GRACEFULLY COVERED IT EVEN THOUGH I NOW HAD 41K MILES. NOW LESS THAN 2 YEARS LATER 5/13/2015 MY CAR LOST POWER JUST AS IT HAD BEFORE ON THE HIGHWAY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, NARROWLY GETTING CREAMED BEFORE PULLING OVER! I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY ENCOUNTERED THE SAME PROBLEM, THEY REPLACED THE FUEL FILLER VALVE AND THAT DIDN'T HELP, THEN THEY REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP, THAT DIDN'T HELP, I'M SCHEDULED TO GO TO THE DEALER AGAIN. THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG OFF WARNING LIGHT INTERMITTENTLY TURNS ON WHEN THERE IS A PASSENGER SEATED IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. THIS INDICATES THAT IF THERE WERE AN ACCIDENT WHILE THIS WARNING LIGHT IS ON; THE PASSENGER AIR BAG WOULD NOT GO OFF; WHICH CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY. I HAVE BROUGHT THIS VEHICLE TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES FOR THIS ISSUE AND THEY TELL ME THAT THERE ARE NO "CODES" TO BE READ AND THEY ARE UNABLE TO REPRODUCE THIS. I THINK THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD PAY TO REPLACE MY BRAKES AND ROTORS BECAUSE THE WAS CAR NEW WHEN I LEFT THE DEALERSHIP AND I SHOULD NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM. THE PEDALS ARE POSITIONED TOO CLOSE TOGETHER. MY HUSBAND COMPLAINED OF THIS A FEW WEEKS AGO WHEN HE DROVE MY CAR BECAUSE HIS SHOE GOT CAUGHT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AS HE WAS LIFTING HIS FOOT OFF THE GAS PEDAL. THEN, YESTERDAY, THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME. I NEARLY DROVE MY CAR THROUGH THE FRONT OF THE DAYCARE WHERE I WAS DROPPING OFF MY SON. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHENEVER SHE STARTED THE VEHICLE, SHE WOULD SMELL MOLD FROM THE AIR CONDITIONER VENTS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION WHERE THEY ADVISED THAT THEY WOULD CLEAN THE AIR CONDITIONER. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,793.
