I HAVE A 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA 2.5S MODEL. AFTER THE FIRST COUPLE YEARS I NOTICED THE HEADLIGHTS GETTING DIMER AND DIMER TO THE POINT WHERE IT WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. I HAD THE OE BULBS REPLACED WITH LID LIGHTS AND IT DID NOTHING FOR THE PROJECTION OF THE HEADLAMPS STILL DIM. SO I THAN HAD HID BULBS PUT IN AND SAME THING NO PROJECTION OUT OF THE LENSES. I GOT ON A NISSAN FORUM AND IT TALKED ABOUT THE INSIDE OF THE LENS LOOSING ITS REFLECTING ABILITY. SO I WENT TO THE NISSAN DEALER IN RENTON WHERE I HAD PURCHASED MY CAR AND WAS TOLD TO CALL THE NISSANS 800 NUMBER. I DID CALL AND SPOKE TO A JENNIFER. TOLD HER EVERYTHING I JUST STATED ITS OBVIOUS IF YOU LOOK THRU THE LENS THAT YOU CAN SEE THE INTERNAL REFLECTION ABILITY IS GONE. SHE TOLD ME I HAD TO TAKE IT TO NISSAN AND PAY FOR THE DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIRS TO GET IT BACK TO OE. IF YOU LOOK AT THE NISSAN FORUM THIS IS A SEVERE OCCURRING ISSUE. SO YONKER NISSAN AND NISSAN OF NORTH AMERICA IT SEEMS SAFETY IS NOT AN ISSUE TO ME OR MY FAMILY SO NEITHER IS MY BUSINESS THAT GOES FOR BOTH OF YOU.. AND I DO HOPE YOU TRAIN YOUR NISSAN OF NORTH AMERICA STAFF ON THE MAGNUSSON ACT CAUSE AFTERMARKET GIVES A 10 YEAR WARRANTY ON THE LENS ASSEMBLIES TO YOUR 1 YEAR.SO I DON'T HAVE TO TAKE IT TO NISSAN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT'S SON WAS DRIVING AT 35 MPH, WITHOUT WARNING THE VEHICLE PULLED TO THE RIGHT. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO REGAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND DROVE AT LOW SPEEDS TO THE RESIDENCE WHERE HIS FATHER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE. THE INSPECTION SHOWED THAT THE PASSENGER'S SIDE REAR LOWER CONTROL ARM WAS FRACTURED AND THE DRIVER'S SIDE REAR LOWER CONTROL ARM WAS EXTREMELY CORRODED. HAWKINSON NISSAN LOCATED AT (5513 MILLER CIRCLE DRIVE, MATTESON, IL 60443, (708) 252-3769) WAS CONTACTED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE TAKEN IN TO THE DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103,000.
WHILE DRIVING CAR SUDDENLY BECAME VERY UNSTABLE AND WOBBLED UNTIL I WAS ABLE TO SLOW DOWN. AT THE TIME I WAS TRAVELING AT A LOW SPEED SO I WAS ABLE TO STOP WITHOUT LOSING CONTROL. HAD THIS OCCURRED ON A HIGHWAY, IT COULD HAVE BEEN DANGEROUS TO MYSELF AND OTHERS. ON INVESTIGATION LOWER REAR CONTROL ARM HAD SNAPPED ON PASSENGER SIDE. APPARENTLY THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH NISSAN ALTIMAS. CURRENTLY DEALER IS REFUSING TO REPAIR UNDER AGREEMENT WITH NHTSA BECAUSE THAT ONLY IMPACTS 2013 MODELS. THIS WAS THE SAME ISSUE AS THE AGREEMENT.
WHILE DRIVING THE CAR THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE CONTROL ARM SNAPPED CAUSING LOSS OF STABILITY, CONTROL AND DRIVABILITY. UPON INSPECTION BY MECHANIC THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR CONTROL WAS ABOUT TO BREAK ALSO.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND RESPONDED ABRUPTLY AT AN ABNORMAL SPEED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO GERALD NISSAN OF NORTH AURORA (213 HANSEN BLVD, NORTH AURORA, IL 60542) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE HOWEVER, NO ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 55 MPH, THE HOOD FLEW OPEN WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V116000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES) AND WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT CALLED SIMMONS-ROCKWELL NISSAN LOCATED AT (224 COLONIAL DR, HORSEHEADS, NY 14845) WHERE SHE WAS REFERRED TO THE MANUFACTURER FOR ASSISTANCE. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED HER THAT AN INSPECTOR WOULD BE SENT TO HER LOCAL DEALER FOR AN INSPECTION. THE INSPECTOR DETERMINED THAT THE SECONDARY LATCH WAS DEFECTIVE. THE INSPECTOR PLACED A ZIP TIE ON THE LATCH AND REFERRED HER BACK TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER OFFERED NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 146,000.
DRIVING TO WORK LOST CONTROL OF REAR TIRE. TOOK IT IN TO GET LOOKED AT AND WAS INFORMED THE REAR LOWER LINK RUSTED ALL THE WAY THROUGH. I WAS INFORMED THERE WAS A SERVICE CAMPAIGN FOR 2013-2014 ALTIMA SEDAN ON THE REAR LOWER LINK. WHEN I CONTACTED NISSAN I WAS INFORMED IT WAS ONLY FOR THE 2013 ALTIMA. I EXPLAINED TO THEM CAMPAIGN ID# P9324 SAID FOR 2013-2014 ALTIMA AND MY CAR WAS A 2014 BUILT IN JULY 2013 AND HAS THE SAME REAR LOWER LINK PART NUMBER ON BOTH YEAR MODELS AND MINE HAD COMPLETELY RUSTED THROUGH AND SEPARATED. THEY DON'T CARE. NOW I CAN'T DRIVE THE CAR UNTIL I GET IT FIXED AT MY OWN EXPENSE.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE REAR SWAY BAR LINK WAS FRACTURED. THE DRIVER GIVEN AN ESTIMATE FOR THE REPAIR. THE DEALER HAD NOT BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND A CASE WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 230,000.
I WAS DRIVING MY 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA DOWN THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE REARWARD CONTROL ARM BROKE FROM RUST AND CAUSE ME TO FISHTAIL ALMOST CRASHING ... I COULD HAVE BEEN INJURED BADLY!!!
HEADLIGHTS ARE VERY DIM. UNABLE TO SEE AT NIGHT WHILE DRIVING WITH LOW-BEAMS ON. I PAID $250 TO REPLACE THE HEADLAMPS WITH NO LUCK. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH, IT APPEARS THIS IS A WELL KNOWN ISSUE. THIS SEEMS LIKE A SAFETY ISSUE SO I AM WONDERING WHY THERE IS NO RECALL?
I OWN A 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA, OVER THE TIME OF OWNERSHIP I HAVE NOTICED THE HEADLIGHTS GETTING DIMMER AND DIMMER, I ASSUMED IT WAS THE BULBS AGING AND REPLACED THIS ON 02/15/2020. THE NEW BULBS (SILVANIA SILVERSTARS) WERE SUPPOSED TO BE BRIGHTER. THERE WERE NOT MUCH BRIGHTER. LATER WHEN I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY SUGGESTED NEW HEADLIGHT ASSEMBALLIES AS THE CHROME PAINTING ON THE INSIDES OF THE LENSES HAS FADED AND AS A RESULT IS NOT REFLECTING MUCH LIGHT ONTO THE ROAD. THE ESTIMATED COST OF THIS REPAIR WAS 800$. I HAVE NEVER OWNED A CAR WHERE THE HEADLIGHTS HAVE FAILED IN THIS MATTER AND AS A STUDENT IT IS UNACCEPTABLE AND DANGEROUS TO HAVE LOW BEAMS THAT ARE SO DIM THEY DO NOT EVEN APPEAR TO BE ON AT NIGHT. GOOGLING THIS ISSUES SHOWS MANY FORUMS WHERE PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE I WAS HAVING WITH NEW HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES FIXING THE ISSUE.
2014 NISSAN ALTIMA S, PROJECTOR HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY IS DEFECTIVE AND IN ORDER TO SEE AT NIGHT, I MUST DRIVE WITH MY HIGH-BEAMS. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN AND THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME OVER $200 JUST TO "TROUBLESHOOT" THE ISSUE EVEN THOUGH I TOLD THEM ABOUT THIS DEFECT. A LOT OF NISSAN ALTIMA OWNERS FROM 2013-2018 ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE, YET NISSAN DOES NOT ISSUE A RECALL AND WE ARE EXPECTED TO PAY THEM ABOUT $1,000 FOR A NEW SET OF HEADLAMP ASSEMBLIES. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. PLEASE HELP US GET NISSAN TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS DEFECTIVE DESIGN AND ISSUE A MANDATORY RECALL AT THEIR EXPENSE. THANK YOU.
PULLED INTO A HANDICAP PARKING PLACE, ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAR ACCELERATED FORWARD AT A HIGH SPEED. KNOCKING DOWN THE HANDICAP SIGN AND WENT THROUGH A STORE GLASS WINDOW.WE SAT THERE IN SHOCK NOT NOTHING WHAT JUST HAPPENED. THE POLICE ARRIVED AND A SAID IT MUST HAVE BEEN THE GAS PEDAL, THEY ASSUME SINCE I WAS A OLDER PERSON THAT I HAD STEPPED ON THE GAS PEDAL INSTEAD OF THE BRAKE. I KNOW I HAD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE. I FEEL THIS IS DIFFERENTLY A RECALL PROBLEM. NISSAN HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM SINCE 2000 AND NO ONE HAS DONE ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I HAVE LOST MY LICENSE AND MY INSURANCE OVER THIS. PLEASE TAKE THIS MATTER SERIOUSLY! WHAT IF THIS WAS A SCHOOL CROSSWALK AND CHILDREN WERE GOING ACROSS. I WORKED IN THE HOSPITAL FOR 47 YEARS NOW IT'S TIME FOR ME TO TRAVEL AND ENJOY MY RETIREMENT. I CAN'T EVEN GO TO THE DOCTORS OR GROCERY STORES. PLEASE SAVE OUR CHILDREN AND OUR COMMUNITY. THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK AT THE TIME THIS HAPPED.
WE BOUGHT OUR NEW 2014 ALTIMA IN DECEMBER 2013. ON FEBRUARY 4, 2020, WITH 151,000 MILES, MY WIFE WAS DRIVING A WINDING COUNTY ROAD AT APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH AND EXPERIENCED A PROBLEM WITH HER ALTIMA. SHE STATED THAT IT WAS LIKE THE CAR WAS ON ICE AND NEARLY UNCONTROLLABLE. I WENT TO HER AND DISCOVERED THAT THE LEFT REAR CONTROL ARM WAS SEVERED AT THE ATTACHMENT TO THE CHASSIS. I DROVE THE CAR ABOUT ONE MILE AT LESS THAN 20 MPH AND IT WAS TERRIBLE! I TOLD THE DEALER TO REPLACE BOTH CONTROLS ARMS AND I DEMANDED THE PARTS BE RETURNED TO ME. UPON INSPECTION OF THE PARTS, THE RIGHT CONTROL ARM HAS SEVERE CRACKING AND WOULD HAVE FAILED IN THE SAME MANNER WITHIN DAYS OR WEEKS. I SPOKE WITH NISSAN NORTH AMERICA. THEY CLAIMED TO BE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM ON 2013 MODELS ONLY. I REQUESTED THAT NISSAN EXTEND THEIR REPAIR CAMPAIGN TO ALL AFFECTED YEARS AND NOTIFY OWNERS OF THIS SAFETY CONCERN. THEY HAVE REFUSED. THEY HAVE ALSO REFUSED TO COVER THE EXPENSE OF OUR FAILURE, WHICH TOTALS NEARLY $1800 INCLUDING A RENTAL CAR. AT A MINIMUM, NISSAN SHOULD BE REQUIRING THEIR DEALERS TO INSPECT THE CONTROLS ARMS OF ANY AFFECTED ALTIMA THAT IS BEING SERVICED. THEY SHOULD BE COLLECTING DATA ON THE INSPECTIONS, AND THEY SHOULD BE REPLACING ANY CONTROL ARM THAT IS SHOWING SEVERE DEGRADATION BEFORE IT FAILS. OUR ALTIMA WAS IN FOR SERVICE LESS THAN 3 WEEKS PRIOR TO FAILURE AND NO RELATED CONCERNS WERE BROUGHT TO OUR ATTENTION. PER NHTSA'S OPEN INVESTIGATION #EA19002, THIS FAILURE IS PRIMARILY IN THE AREAS WHERE ROAD SALT IS USED. ROAD SALT MEANS THESE AREAS ARE PRONE TO SLIPPERY ROAD SURFACES. JUST IMAGINE THIS FAILURE HAPPENING ON A SLIPPERY ROAD! THE RESULTS COULD BE DISASTROUS FOR THOSE INVOLVED. NISSAN NEEDS TO DO THE RIGHT THING TO PROTECT THEIR CUSTOMERS, THE PUBLIC AND THEIR REPUTATION.
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE DANGEROUSLY DIM. IT LOOK LIKE THE CHEAP MATERIALS OF THOSE HEADLIGHTS ARE THE PROBLEM.
WHILE DRIVING ON A STATE ROUTE I HIT A BUMP IN THE ROAD AND IMMEDIATELY FELT THE STEERING WHEEL SHIFT FROM EVEN TO THE LEFT ABOUT 45 DEGREES WITH A THUMPING SOUND . ALSO THE STABILITY LIGHT CAME ON. I TRIED TO STEER THE CAR PROPERLY BUT ENCOUNTERED A PULLING TO THE LEFT. I PULLED OFF THE ROAD INTO A LOT AND DISCOVERED THE REAR LEFT WHEEL AND SIDE (DRIVER SIDE} WAS LOWER THAN THE RIGHT AND THE WHEEL WAS TILTED INWARD. FURTHER INSPECTION REVEALED THAT THE CONNECTION TO THE SUSPENSION WAS COMPROMISED. WE HAD THE CAR TOWED ON FLATBED TO MY LOCAL MECHANIC. HE IS LOCATED NEAR THE LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP SO WE HOPE TO GET IT RESOLVED WITH HIS SELP. MY RESEARCH ON YOUR SITE INDICATED THAT SEVERAL (1000'S) OF 2013 VEHICLES EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM BUT NOT MANY 2014 MODELS. I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM IS NOT JUST FOR THE 2013 MODELS AND THE 2014'S AGE IS ABOUT AT THE SAME TIME WHEN THE 2013'S HAVE FAILED. (6 YEARS OLD). I AM HOPING THAT NISSAN FOLLOWS SUIT WITH THE 2014 MODELS LIKE CANADA DID LAST YEAR.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while driving at night, he was unable to see the road clearly while using the headlights. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the headlight assemblies to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired but was pending repairs. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
ACCELERATING FROM A STOP SIGN, ABOUT 10 FEET LATER THERE WAS NO POWER TO THE WHEELS. NEITHER REVERSE OR FORWARD GEARS WORKED AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. ENGINE RUNS NORMALLY AND NO ABNORMAL NOISES. ENDED UP HAVING TO PUSH THE CAR TO THE NEAREST SAFE AREA AND WAITED FOR A TOW. THIS SEEMS TO BE A SUDDEN TRANSMISSION FAILURE AT JUST OVER 50,000 MILES THE SHOP HAS QUOTED ME $4000 TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION CITING THEY HAVE SEEN MANY FAILURES ON THE NISSAN CVT'S AND DO NOT RECOMMEND REPAIRING THEM.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,852.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MARLBORO NISSAN (740 BOSTON POST RD E, MARLBOROUGH, MA 01752 508-481-3232) AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER CONTROL ARM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 104,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
WHEN THE LIGHTS ARE TURNED ON TO DRIVE AT NIGHT, THE DRIVER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT IS NOT AS BRIGHT AS THE PASSENGER SIDE EVEN AFTER GETTING A NEW HEADLIGHT. THE LIGHT IS BRIGHT WHEN UP CLOSE BUT IS BARELY VISIBLE FAR AWAY. BASICALLY, YOU ARE DRIVING WITH ONE HEADLIGHT AT NIGHT MAKING IT VERY HARD TO SEE.
I WENT TO TURN INTO A PARKING LOT, HEARD A LOUD THUMP FROM THE BACK OF THE CAR AND WHEN I LOOKED UNDER THE REAR END MY SWAY BAR WAS BROKEN OFF ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. 2 MONTHS PRIOR TO THIS HAPPENING MY RIGHT SIDE BROKE WHILE I WAS BACKING UP.
CVT TRANSMISSION FAILING WITH ONLY 73,900 MILES ON THE 2014 VEHICLE. ALSO BOTH PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDE DOOR MECHANISMS HAVE BROKE FROM THE INSIDE, MEANING YOU HAVE TO ROLL THE WINDOW DOWN TO GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD.
THE DRIVER'S SEAT IS LOOSE. 2 SCREWS CAME OUT AND YOU CAN ROCK THE SEAT BACK AND FORTH. BUT STILL ATTACHED.
ON TUESDAY NIGHT JANUARY 14, 2020 I DO AS I ALWAYS DO THIS NIGHT AND DRIVE MY SON TO HIS HOCKEY PRACTICE FOR 6 PM IN NORTH SMITHFIELD RHODE ISLAND. WE WERE ON THE HIGHWAY ROUTE 295 IN TRAVEL LANE PASSING AN 18 WHEELER TRUCK. WHEN WE WERE NEXT TO THIS TRUCK IT FELT LIKE A GUST OF WIND CAME OUT OF NO WHERE AND PUSHED MY 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA IN HIS LANE AND ALMOST HIT THIS TRUCK. I WENT TO CORRECT THE WHEEL TO MOVE AWAY FROM THIS AND THE CAR ALMOST WENT RIGHT OFF THE HIGHWAY IN A DITCH. I HAD NO IDEA WHAT WAS GOING ON AND WAS ABLE TO KEEP THE CAR STRAIGHTENED OUT. MY SON, WHO IS 11 WAS SCARED TO DEATH. I NOTICED THAT THAT A LIGHT ON DASHBOARD CAME ON THAT LOOKS LIKE A TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT OR SLIPPERY ROAD LIGHT. MY SON WENT IN AND I LOOKED AROUND AT WHAT THIS LIGHT WAS THAT CAME ON DASHBOARD. I COULD NOT FIND IT IN MANUAL ANYWHERE AND WAS THINKING THAT IT MAY HAVE BEEN A COMPUTER ISSUE. FROM THERE I CHECKED THE OUTSIDE OF THE CAR AND UNDER THE BEST I COULD AND DID NOT NOTICE ANYTHING AT THIS TIME SO I LEFT IT ALONE. WHEN IT WAS TIME TO LEAVE MY PLAN WAS JUST TO TAKE IT SLOW AND DRIVE HOME. WE MADE IT ABOUT 200 FEET OUT OF PARKING LOT AND HEARD A NASTY NOISE AND PULLED RIGHT OVER ON ROUTE 146 IN NORTH SMITHFIELD R.I. I LOOKED UNDER CAR WHERE I HEARD THE NOISE AND COULD SEE SOMETHING BROKEN. ABOUT A YEAR AGO I NOTICED I COULD NOT SEE WELL AT NIGHT. I TOOK MY CAR IN TO HAVE THE HEADLIGHTS REPLACED. I THOUGHT IT WAS MY DRIVER SIDE LOW BEAM. THEY REPLACED IT. ABOUT A WEEK LATER IT STILL WAS NOT ANY BETTER. TOOK IT BACK IN AND THEY SAID IT WAS FINE. I REPLACED THE BULB 2 MORE TIMES AND STILL WAS AWFUL. THEN I DISCOVERED THAT THIS ISSUE WAS COMMON IN 2014 ALTIMAS. I WAS TOLD I COULD FIX THE ISSUE BY REPLACING SOME PARTS. REPLACED MY PASSENGER SIDE, BUT WAS TOLD THAT BECAUSE OF ALL THE ISSUES THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE LOW BEAM HAD MELTED. I HAVE TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE ASSEMBLY. THIS WILL END UP COSTING $800, FOR HEADLIGHTS. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD I WAS LUCKY THAT MY CAR DID NOT CATCH ON FIRE. NISSAN NEEDS TO FIX THIS PROBLEM AND PROVIDE THE REPAIRS. ACCIDENTS COULD HAPPEN DUE TO THIS DANGEROUS PROBLEM.

THIS RESOLVED THE PROBLEM. DEALER DID NOT INDICATE ANY KNOWLEDGE OF THIS PROBLEM AND WOULD NOT DO THIS FOR FREE, EVEN THOUGH THIS WAS SAFETY HAZARD. PURCHASED THE REPLACEMENT ASSEMBLIES FROM CARPARTS.COM. REPLACEMENT WAS DONE BY LEXINGTON AUTOWORKS.

We took our Nissan for repair of recalled Headlights and was told they had no more headlight assemblies, they have to reorder. I got on waiting list. I called a couple of times to check on headlight shipment. Theni finally went back and they told me they stopped repairing headlight assemblies. I kept getting the run around! NOW MY HEADLIGHTS ARE SO DIM I CAN NOT SEE ROAD AND I WORK NIGHTS. I HAVE TO GET TO MY JOB WHICH IS AN HOUR AWAY, 3 HOURS EARLY WHILE I CAN SEE ROAD. PLEASE HELP ME GET HEADLIGTS REPLACED ASAP. BOTH LOW BEAM, HEADLAMPS IN MY 2014 ALTIMA ARE EXTREMELY DIM. I FIRST NOTICED IT ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO AND HAS BECOME SIGNIFICANTLY WORSE OVER TIME. I HAVE REPLACED THE BULBS WITH OEM AND HIGH END (BRIGHTER) BULBS TO NO AVAIL. THE EXTERNAL ASSEMBLY PLASTIC IS NOT THAT FADED AND EVEN TRIED BUFFING IT. THAT DID NOT WORK EITHER. WHEN M VEHICLE GETS BETWEEN 1000-2000 RPM THE VEHICLE SHAKES AND HAS PROBLEM PICKING UP SPEED. ONCE OVER THE 2000 RPM, THE VEHICLE HAS NO PROBLEMS.

I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND NOTICED THAT I HAD LOW VISIBILITY AND COULD NOT SEE AS FAR AS 1 FOOF AHEAD AND HAD TO USE MY HIGH BEAMS ALL THE WAY HOME. AS I WAS DRIVING MY 2014 ALTIMA, I ACCELERATED FROM A COMPLETE STOP AND LOST CONTROL OF MY CAR AND BEGAN SLIDING. AS SOON AS I STOPPED THE VEHICLE, I RESTARTED AND BEGAN TO MOVE FORWARD. WHILE ONLY GOING 15 MPH, THE CAR BEGAN TO SHAKE, I STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND NOTICE THE REAR DRIVER SIDE TIRE WAS NOT ALIGNED CORRECTLY. AFTER BEING TOWED AND UPON FURTHER REVIEW, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT MY LOWER REAR CONTROL ARM HAD SNAPPED OFF FROM THE BOLT ON THE DRIVER SIDE. AFTER LOOKING INTO THIS, THE REAR PASSENGER CONTROL ARM WAS DETERMINED TO HAVE A SEVERE CRACK ON BOTH THE TOP AND BOTTOM SIDES.
PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT INDICATOR & PASSENGER AIRBAG ON/OFF INDICATOR REMAINS ON EVEN WHEN A PASSENGER IS SEATED IN THE FRONT SEAT. I THINK THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE THE AIRBAG WILL NOT DEPLOY FROM AN IMPACT AS NEEDED. REQUEST ANY ASSISTANCE WITH THIS RELATED SAFETY ISSUE. THANK YOU
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while their son was driving approximately 55 MPH in the evening, a police officer crashed into the front passenger side door. The front rearview mirror was also impacted. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. The police officer was unable to see the vehicle due to the headlight clarity being low on the contacts vehicle. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local mechanic, however the failure was not diagnosed. The headlights were not replaced. The driver was injured but decided not to receive medical treatments. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 140,000.
I PURCHASED A USED 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA WITH 58,000 MILES. IT DROVE GREAT DURING TEST DRIVING AND ON MY WAY HOME WHICH IS 1 HOUR AWAY FROM WHERE I LIVE. BY DAY 2 THE CAR BEGAN JERKING AROUND 60 MI PER HR. AND UNDER. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP. BY DAY 4 ON THE WAY TO THE DEALERSHIP THE RPM WOULD JUMP UP TO 4 AND THE CAR MADE A WINDING NOISE. IT WOULD ADVANCE FORWARD QUICKLY AND THEN STALL. ALL OF THIS WHILE DRIVING ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY. I CAME TO A PLACE WHERE I COULD PULL OVER WAITED A FEW MINUTES AND THEN TRIED TO PULL OFF THE CAR WOULD NOT GO ANYWHERE. I FINALLY HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. NISSAN HAS YET TO KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS, SAYING IT HAS AN "UNSPECIFIED CODE". IT'S BEEN 3 DAYS. I KNOW THERE HAD BEEN A RECALL ON THE CVT TRANSMISSION HOWEVER I DON'T SEE MY VEHICLE VIN ON THE LIST.
