I saw the recall about the backup camera malfunction however my car isn’t listed for the recall but for the last few months my backup camera has been saying malfunction and doesn’t beep. I’m trying to see if I could receive the recall to get this fixed.
I have bought this vehicle Oct/Nov of 2023 , from private dealer on at least three occasions I have experienced the vehicle automatically speeding up without stepping on the gas pedal. I had to hold down the braking system and pulling over to avoid an accident. Although , I've quickly placed the vehicle on neutral the engine was still revving . I then powered off vehicle for a few minutes and restarted to learn the vehicle continued to rev on park mode. I then waited at least 10 minutes and then vehicle resorted back to normal state. There was no warning lamps presented. I will be bring this issue to the dealer attention and see whether the vehicle can be serviced; As I do not feel safe.
Front and Rear LH door locks do not work with buttons or key fob. Poses a safety risk entering or exiting the vehicle.
Check Engine Light "P0087" "Fuel Rail/System Pressure-Too Low" Engine Stall Message- Its a recall out already just not for all 2019 Nissan Altima whixh it should be
The driver’s side seat belt is constantly getting twisted, and it’s very difficult to undo.
I have had several issues with this vehicle despite frequent oil changes and maintenance. Most recent issue is below: Immediately upon parking at 0900 on a clear, sunny warm day, an warning appeared on my dashboard - “engine malfunction, power reduced, service now”. At the same time, my engine shut off suddenly. No one was injured, as I had thankfully just parked. This was the first time this specific warning and malfunction occurred. The contact took the vehicle into a Nissan service center. The diagnosis DTC P0101 stored, excessive buildup in throttle chamber causing DTC possibly relating to the engine failure.
I purchased the 2019 Nissan Altima March 22,2024 for the last week the car will start when it wants , the collision sign on the dash comes on and states it’s blocked , the car will stop or shut off while driving ( on the highway with my two children ) the car stoped & a big truck almost ran in the back of me , the seat belt on the right side doesn’t work . Theirs 4 other problems with the car the could get me and my children killed I have documents from Autozone about my engine that’s not good . ( and the computer I put on to check the car says stop and repair car immediately) . I have pictures of that also .
on the seventeenth of march,2024 a 2019 nissan altimawith alittle over 25000 miles on the odo was backed from a garage and driven forward about 100 feet on dry, smooth pavement in a cul de sac when the right front wheel came loose . this caused the auto to veer right and sideswipe a vehicle parked at the curb.this altma has been driven by a woman in her eighties since new ,garaged nitely, washed weekly, and serviced as required. if this had happened at highway speeds it might have resulted serius injury or death.
Sometimes my car loses power when accelerating, other times it takes around 10 seconds to get going.
My sunroof exploded while driving on the highway. Glass particles throughout the vehicle, except for the driver's front seat area. No glass particles hit my body - it could have caused serios injury - I was not wearing a hat at the time. The 'explosion' startled me, but my attention to the road was not affected, except for a moment. Waiting to have it replaced by Sunroof Express through my Insurance (GEICO). No warnings of any kind were given by my car-system before or during the explosion. To the best of my knowledge nothing struck my vehicle (or the sunroof) prior to its explosion. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. I'm just waiting to get the sunroof repaired. The vehicle or component has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others as of today - waiting for the mechanic to do his thing.
On Feb 04/24 I was getting to go to the store when I started my car and seat belt and supplemental air bag warning light came on. I have tried to contact dealer representative and no call back or respond my e-mail. My brother stop by dealer and they want me to pay $200 just to make a diagnosis. I will give you my name and information but share only if need it.
The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Altima. The contact stated her son was driving on the highway at 70 MPH, when an abnormal smell of garbage was followed by smoke being emitted from a hole in the rear side of the front passenger seat. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact was an occupant seated in the front passenger seat when there was a burning sensation was felt. The contact's son immediately pulled over onto the side of the road to exit the vehicle, where the contact then proceeded to extinguish the fire with a beverage. The contact mentioned her jacket and a pillow case caught on fire during the incident. A fire department report was not filed. A police department report was not filed. The vehicle was not destroyed, and no injuries were reported. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where the vehicle was diagnosed, and the contact was advised that the wiring on the passenger seat was of probable cause for the failure, and that the passenger seat would have to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.
The spare tire that is included with the vehicle is the wrong overall diameter and if used on either front or rear, will cause the AWD transfer case to over heat within 1 mile. There is the potential for major damage or destruction of the AWD transfer case. This is an immediate safety concern! Nissan should recall these vehicles immediately and provide a proper sized spare tire that can be driven on to get to a repair facility without vehicle damage or loss of control.
I just bought a used 2019 Nissan Altima from a Dealership. Very shortly after buying, two of the actuators went out not allowing me to lock or unlock the passenger or back/driver's side doors. I am on a military base and have to park my car in parking lots everywhere I go. This is unsafe for me to have my vehicle stolen, anything left in my car stolen. I brought it to the dealership I bought it from, and they won't touch it. By reading other reviews this is a common problem for this vehicle. It should be addressed Unknown if this has been inspected, as I just purchased it used. No warning lights have come on to warn me of this issue.
Emergency brake engaged when there were no objects near the vehicle. Vehicle stopped. The dealer stated the issue was due to a faulty sonor control unit.
I bought my 2019 Nissan Altima Platinum brand new. Since then I have had to replace all of the door lock actuators a minimum of 2 times, I say 2 times because only one has been replaced twice. All of the others have been replaced at least 3 times and the driver and driver side passenger side are ready for the 4th replacement. This presents a safety as well as security issue.
Adaptive Cruise control and Forward Collision warning has failed. The cruise control will not engage. The Electronic braking system has malfunctioned and this has somehow disabled the cruise control on the vehicle. The car will still brake. I understand that this has been known issue with Nissan but they are not willing to repair it.
Without warning, both sideview mirrors, plus the blindspot warning system began to not work. Mirror adjustments failed to work on both sides and also the blindspot warning light stopped working when a vehicle would pass. I proceeded to take my vehicle to Regal Nissan, Inc., located at 1090 Holcomb Bridge Road, Roswell, Georgia 30076, 770-998-8686 on December 19, 2023 at approximately 2:00pm, and was told by the Service Advisor, Deandre Gaines that they would not be able to look at it as the day was almost over and he scheduled an appointment for December 20, 2023 at 9:00am. Today, December 20, 2023, I attended my appointment arriving approximately 9:09am and spoke with Deandre Gaines. He told me that they would do a diagnostic check to find out what was causing this. I asked if the diagnostic check would be just for my arm rest where the control was or did he mean for the whole car, and he said no not the whole car only the arm rest, and he never stated the price. I told him that I would wait on the car, and proceeded to their customer waiting room. Once they were done, they tell me that the cost would be $175.88!!! I asked for what??? He tells me that because I have 39,747 miles and it is outside the the 36,000 mile warranty that this is what it cost for a diagnostic. I said, you never said the price!!! I had no idea that it would cost this much just for you to tell me this. He strong-armed me on the price. I then asked to speak to his manager (which I did not get his name) and the manager then said the same thing. I was so frustrated at how I strong-armed on this price. Deandre never stated the price. This is border line exhortation. He took my freedom away as a Georgia consumer by giving the price after the fact and not telling me the price before hand. This would not have been an issue if he had told me the price beforehand, as I would have had the choice to say yes or no. If additional documentation is needed, please let me know. The download is not working.

Failure of rear differential Electronic Coupler in 2019 Nissan Altima at 66,500 miles. The problem was confirmed by the nissan dealer and the vehicle component has been inspected and replaced by Team Nissan, 70 Keller Street, Manchester NH, 03103 The symptoms of this problem were lots of vibration from the rear of the vehicle, a cyclical chirp while driving and a very loud squeaking noise ( Sounded like metal on metal) while reversing.
Since I purchased this car during warranty 2 of the door locks quit working and was replaced under warranty but since the warranty has ran out the other 2 door locks quit working. So if I lock my door it will not unlock so I have to crawl in a door that will lock. The other option is not lock my doors so everything can be stolen out of my car or I could be robbed since they could open my door at any parking lot or redlight.
car constantly is breaking saying there are cars in front of me when there are not, especially going under bridges. the light flashes 90% of the time warning me. i have cleaned off the sensor and it still does it and brakes me when i should not be braking
Backup camera doesn’t work properly, when i switch to R, 1 side of the screen are dark

Tire pressure light is always on. I have to put air in tires almost everyday. The air never stay in tires. I’m always catching a flat tire. Malfunction light is always on. I buy new tires every month. Also I was driving and the tire & axle was loss to fall off. I made it to the auto shop in time for him to tell me the problem but it still isn’t fixed.
While driving straight on a two lane road, steering wheel suddenly locked, unable to regain control the car was locked in a turning position causing the vehicle to crash into a pole. Car is totaled. No rain, low speed and wasn’t turning when it happened.
My key does not unlock or lock my passenger or rear doors. So far it only unlocks the driver door. I have to get in and unlock the doors manually. The key fab works but the door sensors do not respond. I looked it up and this has been a common problem reported for the 2019 Nissan Altima along with other electrical problems. I’ve had to replace the battery twice. This is a 2019 vehicle which I purchased in 2020. Had to replace the battery in 2021 and in 2023. The most pressing issue right now is the door locks. This is an expensive repair. There should be a recall issued so that Nissan can repair the door sensors. The contact continue to have problems with electrical components on this vehicle. All four door locking systems have been replaced, but now the contact cannot open the trunk with the key or manually from inside of the car. Also, the battery has had to be replaced three times.
Receiving Engine Stall Message when hitting gas.
The doors won’t unlock when using the key fob or pressing the lock/unlock buttons on the driver and passenger front doors. I believe the actuators are not functioning properly. Also, the engine light came on and the code is P059F which indicates a faulty active grille shutter assembly.
while driving in traffic with the adaptive cruise control on, the system indicated a sensor malfunction. This is a well-known occurrence for these vehicles as reported on numerous Nissan sites and other websites. This failure can present a safety hazard if the warning comes with little time to react to traffic conditions.
Vehicle is giving Engine Stalling Notification car lose pressure & turn off
Numerous times since I purchased this car used, the auto brake assist will go off unexpectedly when going under bridges… it almost caused me to loose control of my car numerous times. In addition. The malfunction warning light will randomly turn on even on beautiful sunny days with car being clean.
The occupant detection sensor unit on my car has malfunctioned for the 3rd time. My car has never been in an accident or have had the air bags deployed. The first incident was November 2021 with 24,163 miles. The dealer performed a zero-point reset. The second incident was January 2023 with 53,665 miles. The dealer again performed a zero-point reset but charged $170.03 to repair. The dealer told me this is not covered by my extended warranty. The dealer told me if it happened again they would have to replace the sensor and it will cost approximately $1000 - and it is not covered by my Nissan VSC extended warranty. Now it malfunctioned for the 3rd time in May 2023 with 57,155 miles. This appears to be a known issue for Nissan with TSB NTB19-071. I am frustrated that Nissan is asking for payment to replace a faulty sensor that affects air bag deployment in an accident. I believe this is a safety issue that Nissan should pay to replace. My ask is for Nissan to recall these vehicles or voluntarily replace the faulty sensors at no cost to the vehicle owner.
The shutter in the front of the car is defective. This part not working causes the car to overheat. There are so many issues with this exact same problem on this exact car that there is literally a back order and I cannot get the part so now I can’t use my car. My mechanic place said he’s seen 4 of these cars in the past week with the same problem and can’t get the parts because of back order. If there are this many issues that it’s causing this much of a shortage and it can cause overheating this should be a recall issue.
Please note that I have my car regularly inspected for oil changes and maintenance. The adaptive cruise control stopped working August 2022. The car displays "malfunction" on the dashboard. This was inconvenient and at first intermittent, but I did not think it was putting any persons safety at risk. I went to a local Nissan dealership in NJ and they stated it would cost $600 to replace, but no safety issues. Therefore I did not get this fixed at the time. On March 14 2023, I was merging onto a highway in daylight around 4pm. It had started flurrying, but no changes in visibility. There was no car immediately in front of me. The collision warning suddenly came on and the emergency brakes were activated while attempting to accelerate onto a 65 mph highway in NJ. It was extremely startling. It certainly could have caused an accident, especially when vehicles are accelerating to merge onto a highway. I was fortunate that there was no car immediately behind me. On April 26 and 27 2023, the emergency brake was activated again due to a collision warning while in a parking garage. The only correlation I can think that ties these occurrences is when driving from a shaded to sunny location. All three times it also occurred during acceleration. This new problem is quite concerning and dangerous.
ECM is causing my car to stay in a constant Malfunction state. The problem began in April 2023 and at first was intermittent. Now it stays in limp mode. The collision and traction control indicators stay on, as well as the check engine light. Two sensor codes came up and those were changed, but now the malfunction will not allow the codes to be cleared. This puts myself, passengers, and everyone else on the road in danger because when it malfunctions, it brakes without warning. Not to mention the amount of gas the car is using. The vehicle was inspected by a mechanic who stated it was the ECM causing it. This needs to be recalled.
Automatic brake system malfunction
The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while reversing, the rearview camera display screen was blank, and no image was displayed, creating a visibility hazard for the driver. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V654000 (Back Over Prevention). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 23,347.
Grille shudder goes bad , this is my third 2019 Altima
2019 Nissan Altima is experiencing judder when switching between gears at low speeds. Also automatic breaking system (ABS) activates when I attempt to park.
Every time I get in my car a start to drive either forward of backing up my car dings and a message pops up ont the display that says "warning ️ Malfunction" and shows the car crash button. I have not been in any accidents and it randomly started happening a few days ago. Now I worry that my car may not sensor any objects in my path or that it could trigger my automatic break to kick in creating an accident. I have also researched online and found others who have experienced the same thing but there is no open recall on my vehicle.
My car keeps showing the Malfunction notification on my dashboard on and off on several occasions. I've brought my vehicle to the Nissan dealership. They are saying they cannot fix the issue if the error message is not showing at the time of service.
I’m driving on expressway going southbound with no traffic & out of no where the hood jumps open, the result of that resulted in the windshield being cracked also the sunroof. The glass from sunroof came Shattered & hit me & my daughter forehead leaving glass inside the car. These was a traumatic experience, and actually my very first Nissan.
Ice deposits forming in the engine EGR valve preventing the EGR valve from properly functioning. This results in a "limp home mode" where the engine power output is severely reduced. Ice deposits physically verified by dealer. this condition routinely happens when parked outdoors in temps below 0F. When effected the car cannot reach highway speeds. Problem resolved by completely warming up the engine followed by an engine restart to clear the ECM error.
I have had the most problems with this car. I have had it in the shop 2 times paid more than $600 both times to be rewired and a sensor was messed up 1 day later check engine light came on they wanted me to bring it back and charge me again I said no thank you check engine light is still on. 3 months in between the 2 times to get rewired. Only lock that works is front passenger side they stopped working they wanted to charge me 400 per door to get fixed. I had to replace battery 2 times I’m having problems with it again. The radio will change randomly that can last 10 minutes or 30 minutes. This is the most crap car I have spent money on! I can’t find the invoice for 12/14/22 but I did attach the bill from 2/24/23. I can show proof from credit card where it was paid on 12/14/22
The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that the vehicle intermittently failed to start. Additionally, the battery drained quickly, causing the windows and doors to fail to open. The contact had to recharge the battery every day to prevent the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact related the failure to a faulty electrical system. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 21,000.
The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled with the engine malfunction warning light illuminated. The contact also stated that the vehicle had failed to start-up after multiple attempts while depressing the Push to Start button. The contact had the vehicle towed to his residence due to the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on multiple occasions, but the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
When the cruise control is on and I push on the brake to merge lanes or because a vehicle in front of me stops, the car continues to accelerate and gets stuck in acceleration the RPMs go up wildly.
door lock actuators are failing, i cannot unlock or lock any door except for driver with key or buttons on the door.
