TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM FOR NISSAN PRODUCTS. I READ THE RECALL AND SERVICE POSTING. YOU MUST INCLUDE 2007 VEHICLES SUCH AS MY 2007 NISSAN FRONTIER PICK UP TRUCK 4WD. THIS SAME CONDITION HAS BEEN A PROBLEM ON MY TRUCK SINCE MID/LATE 2008 AND DRIVING ME CRAZY. THE LIGHT NOW COMES ON AFTER ABOUT 20 MINUTES OF DRIVING...FIRST BLINKING AND THEN STEADY. 2007 FRONTIER NISSAN CHEAP GAS TANK... WHAT GOOD DOES A LOCK GAS CAP DO? THE GAS TANK IS MADE OUT OF CHEAP PLASTIC WHICH IS VERY EASY FOR A LOW LIFE PERSON TO PUNCTURE WITH ONLY THE POINT OF A POCKET KNIFE!!! (THE REPAIR PERSON,HIMSELF SHOWED ME WITH HIS OWN POCKET KNIFE HOW IT TOOK NO STRAIN TO STEAL MY GAS.) ( I FOUND OUT THE HARD WAY!!! A LOW LIFE PERSON HAD NO DIFFICULTY AT ALL STEALING MY GAS WITH JUST THE POINT OF A POCKET KNIFE. AND WITH THE HIGH PRICES OF GAS A LOT MORE OF US WILL ALSO FIND OUT THE HARD WAY!!! ) TO REPLACE MY GAS TANK IT COST ME ABOUT $1,000.00.!!! BUT EVEN WORSE!!! MY NEW $1,000.00 GAS TANK IS JUST LIKE THE OLD GAS TANK THAT WAS PUNCTURED WITH ONLY THE POINT OF A POCKET KNIFE,BY A LOW LIFE PERSON WHO ALREADY KNOWS WHERE MY NISSAN IS PARKED!!!AND HOW EASY IT WAS TO STEAL MY GAS BEFORE!!! '07 NISSAN FRONTIER SE CC POOR DESIGN OR DEFECTIVE WELD. TAILGATE HINGE (RT. SIDE) STARTED COMING APART LAST WEEK, THEN COMPLETELY FAILED WHILE DRIVING. TAILGATE DROPPED OPEN, LANDED ON BROKEN PIECE, BENDING CORNER OF TAILGATE. WILL SEEK RESOLUTION (NEW HINGE+BODYWORK) TOMORROW. NO ACCIDENT. *TR
WITHIN A FEW MONTHS OF PURCHASING MY 2007 NISSAN FRONTIER, I NOTICED A DISTURBING GRINDING NOISE COMING FROM BEHIND MY DASH BOARD. WHEN I BROUGHT THIS TO THE ATTENTION OF MY DEALERSHIP, THEY INFORMED ME THAT IF THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THIS NOISE AT THE TIME, THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE. AFTERWARDS, THE NOISE WAS ONLY MORE NOTICEABLE. I SEARCHED THE INTERNET FOR OTHER PEOPLE WITH SIMILAR PROBLEMS. IT TURNS OUT THAT THE NOISE COMING FROM BEHIND THE DASHBOARD WAS BEING PRODUCED BY A DEFECTIVE CLUTCH. I SAW AT LEAST 5 TO 10 OF THE SAME EXACT COMPLAINTS AND THEIR DEALINGS WITH SERVICE THAT DETERMINED THE CLUTCH PROBLEM. AT THIS TIME, I WAS QUITE WORRIED ABOUT THE CONDITION OF MY VEHICLE. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO HAVE A DEFECTIVE CLUTCH ON ANY CAR, LET ALONE A 2 PLUS TON TRUCK. THE RAMIFICATIONS ARE ENDLESS: GETTING STUCK ON RAILROAD TRACKS, AT AN INTERSECTION, CRASHING INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE... THE DEALERSHIP WOULD CONTINUE TO MISDIAGNOSE OR NOT DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. I MADE SEVERAL COMPLAINTS WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS UNDER WARRANTY. I PROVIDED THEM WITH EVIDENCE THAT THE VEHICLE DID HAVE A DEFECTIVE CLUTCH AND EVEN DROVE A TECHNICIAN AROUND IN THE VEHICLE TO REPRODUCE THE NOISE THAT THEY DID NOT HEAR. I WAS INFORMED THAT IT WOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BY A SERVICE ADVISOR. WHILE THEY HAD THE VEHICLE, A DIFFERENT PERSON INFORMED ME 2 DAYS LATER THAT THEY INSPECTED THE CLUTCH, FOUND IT TO BE WORN, AND THAT I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR IT. I WAS ABLE TO DO NOTHING EXCEPT PAY FOR THE REPAIR TO GET MY TRUCK BACK. NISSAN INFORMED ME THAT I SHOULD SUE, BECAUSE THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. IN CONCLUSION, A DEFECT THAT WAS NOTICED AT APPROXIMATELY 2,000 MILES ENDED UP COSTING ME OVER $2,000.00 AND POTENTIALLY MY LIFE WHILE THE DEFECT WAS DISMISSED AND MISDIAGNOSED. BEING THAT THERE ARE DOZENS OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM, I WOULD HAVE ASSUMED THAT THIS PROBLEM WOULD HAVE BEEN RECTIFIED WITHOUT THIS MUCH TURMOIL. *TR
PURCHASED 2007 NISSAN FRONTIER CREW CAB P/U TRUCK FROM BONDY'S NISSAN, DOTHAN, ALABAMA IN JANUARY 2007, NEW - IN JANUARY 2008 I ROTATED TIRES ON TRUCK, INCLUDING THE SPARE WHEEL, WHICH HAS A MATCHING TIRE, SAME AS FOUR ON THE GROUND - THE LOW TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR LIGHT CAME ON - I TOOK THE TRUCK TO SERVICE DEPARTMENT OF BONDY'S NISSAN TO DETERMINE WHY SENSOR LIGHT WAS ON - SERVICE REP TOLD ME THE STEEL WHEEL THAT CAME WITH TRUCK AS "SPARE" WAS CAUSE FOR THE SENSOR TO COME ON - HE SAID THEY WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM - SAID I WOULD HAVE TO TAKE IT UP WITH NISSAN USA - HAVE EMAILED NISSAN-USA, BUT NO RESPONSE FROM THEM, YET. *TR
WHLIE DRIVING VEHICLE IT QUIT RUNNING. NISSAN SERVICE DEPT SAID THE ELECTRONIC COMPUTER FAILED. I WAS FORTUNATE THERE WAS NOT AN ACCIDENT.*CN
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN FRONTIER. THE CONTACT THOUGHT HE DROVE OVER AN OBJECT AT 60 MPH. HE IMMEDIATELY SMELLED GAS AND PULLED OVER THE VEHICLE. HE NOTICED GAS SPILLING FROM THE MIDDLE DRIVER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT JUMPED BACK INTO THE VEHICLE AND DROVE OFF BECAUSE HE WAS AT A GAS STATION. ONCE FAR ENOUGH FROM THE STATION, HE TURNED OFF THE ENGINE, WAITED FOR THE GAS TO STOP LEAKING, RESTARTED THE VEHICLE, AND DROVE HOME. THE DEALER DID NOT MAKE ANY REPAIRS, BUT STATED THAT THE GAS TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY AN OBJECT THAT STRUCK THE ALUMINUM COVER AND CRACKED THE PLASTIC GAS TANK. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 2,000. UPDATED 02/19/08. *LJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE GAS TANK WAS MADE OF POOR QUALITY PLASTIC MATERIAL, WITH A VERY THIN ALUMINUM PLATE COVERING. THE OBJECT THAT HIT THE GAS TANK WAS SMALL BECAUSE IT MARKED A FOUR-INCH DENT ON THE FRONT SIDE OF THE GAS TANK AND THE SMALL PIECE OF SQUARE THAT WAS IN FRONT OF IT. UPDATED
WHEN PARKING '07 NISSAN FRONTIER INTO A PARKING STALL, I PRESSED ON THE BRAKE PEDAL TO COME TO A FULL STOP. THE ENGINE THEN STARTED TO RACE AND MOVE THE TRUCK FORWARD. I ALREADY HAD THE BRAKE PEDAL DOWN TO THE FLOOR WITH NO RESPONSE, THE TRUCK CLIMB THE PARKING CURB AND HIT A SITGN AND THEN A PARKED CAR. COULDN'T BELIEVE THAT NOTHING COULD STOP THE TRUCK TILL IT HIT THE CAR AND THEN THE ENGINE STOPPED RACING. I HAD THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER TAKE ALOOK AT THE TRUCK AND MADE HIM PRESS THE BRAKES WHERE IT WENT DOWN TO THE FLOOR. HE THEN HAD A TOWING COMPANY TOW THE TRUCK DOWN TO THE DEALERSHIP TO PREVENT ANOTHER ACCIDENT. DEALER HAD THE TRUCK FOR A WEEK BUT COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE TRUCK. THEY NOTED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS SOFT BUT IT SHOULD BE OKAY. THEY COULD NOT GET THE MOTOR TO RACE SO THEY COULD NOT DO ANYTHING. THEY DID ALL THE TEST THAT THEY COULD BUT INFORMED ME THAT THEY CAN'T FIX SOMETHING THEY CANNOT FIND.
PURCHASED VEHICLE NEW WITH 6SPD MANUAL TRANSMISSION. AT ROUGHLY 4K MILES AN INTERMITTENT NOISE WAS NOTICED AND PERCEIVED TO BE COMING FROM THE DASH CLUSTER. AT 7.8K MILES TRUCK WAS SERVICED AS NOISE BECAME MORE PREVALENT. DEALER MADE REPAIRS TO DASH CLUSTER BY INSPECTING AND SOUND PROOFING AREA. AT 9K MILES NOISE HAD RETURNED AND WAS SENT TO A DIFFERENT DEALER. THEY TOO TROUBLESHOOT AND INSULATED THE CLUSTER. NOISE CONTINUED OFF AND ON UNTIL A RETURN TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIRS AT 14.5K MILES. DEALER AT THIS TIME COULDN'T REPLICATE ISSUE. AFTER OWNER OF TRUCK PERFORMED THEIR OWN EXTENSIVE ONLINE RESEARCH THE DETERMINED THE NOISE TO BE COMING FROM THE CLUTCH AND TRANSFERRING TO THE PEDAL ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. DRIVER RETURNED TO DEALER WITH NEW DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM AND SUGGESTING OF THROW OUT BEARING INSPECTION. UPON INSPECTION DEALERSHIP SAID THAT THERE WAS ABNORMAL AMOUNT OF CLUTCH MATERIAL ON TOP OF THROWOUT BEARING AND WAS FROM THE DRIVER'S DRIVING HABIT. THEY WANT $1000 JUST TO DROP TRANSMISSION AND INSPECT CLUTCH THEN MORE $ TO REPLACE CLUTCH. FROM RESEARCHING ONLINE, THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR NISSAN 6SPD TRANSMISSION ON THE 05+ FRONTIERS AND XTERRAS. NISSAN WON'T WARRANT THE ITEM BECAUSE IT IS CONSIDERED A "WEAR" ITEM. MANY CONSUMER HAVE NOTICED THE NOISE FROM THE DAY THEY PURCHASED VEHICLE AND OTHERS HAVE HAD COMPLETE CLUTCH FAILURE AT LESS THAN 15K, SOMETIMES AS LITTLE AS 5K MILES. HOW, OTHER THAN FACTORY DEFECT, COULD THIS HAPPEN? NOISE WAS NOTICED AT 4K MILES ORIGINALLY. OWNER IS CONCERNED FOR SAFETY WHERE IF THE TRANSMISSION/CLUTCH FAILS UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES THE VEHICLE WILL BE RENDERED USELESS PUTTING THE DRIVING INTO HARMS WAY. I.E. TRAIN TRACKS, ONCOMING TRAFFIC, EMERGENCY VEHICLES. THE PROBLEM COULD LEAVE THE DRIVER DEFENSELESS AND UNABLE TO MANEUVER OUT OF DEADLY SITUATION. *TR
2007 NISSAN FRONTIER AUTOMATIC - THE TRUCK DOES NOT DOWNSHIFT AUTOMATICALLY WHEN SLOWING WHILE CLIMBING A SLIGHT HILL. THIS BEGAN WHEN THE TRUCK WAS NEW. THE TRUCK BEGINS TO JERK WHEN SLOWING JUST AS A MANUAL TRANS VEHICLE JERKS WHEN DRIVING TOO SLOW WHILE IN 4TH GEAR. TO FORCE THE TRANS TO DOWNSHIFT I WOULD PRESS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL A LITTLE MORE. THE DEALER SAID IT'S NORMAL BUT I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS EVENT IN ANY VEHICLE I'VE DRIVEN AND DOES NOT SEEM NORMAL TO ME. DEALER "REPROGRAMMED" TRANSMISSION- PROBLEM STILL EXISTS--BUT AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS AND RPMS. THE FACT THERE IS A REPAIR BULLETIN INDICATES NISSAN IS TRYING TO SKIRT AROUND THE PROBLEM BY NOT REPLACING TRANSMISSIONS. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN FRONTIER. WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH OR GREATER, THE VEHICLE VEERED TO THE RIGHT. THE DEALER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE, BUT WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 800.
FIRST NOTICEABLE COMPLAINT IS THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION THAT DOES NOT SHIFT BACK DOWN IN LOWER GEAR WHEN CLIMBING A HILL. IT JERKS AND SHAKES AT THAT MOMENT.SECONDLY, THE TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR DOES NOT GO OFF AFTER CORRECTING THE TIRE PRESSURE AND KEEPING IT CONSTANT. WERE TOLD THE DEALER WILL HAVE TO RESET,WHICH THEY DID ONCE AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN SO FOR 2 YEARS WE HAVE JUST LIVED WITH IT, KEEPING CHECK ON TIRE PRESSURE THE OLD WAY. LAST BUT DEFINITELY NOT LEAST FOR THIS IS THE COST FACTOR INVOLVED, IS THE ALIGNMENT CANNOT BE DONE DUE TO NEEDING TO PURCHASE AND HAVE INSTALLED 4 CAMBER KITS! NISSAN SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS ALREADY FOR A $25,000 VEHICLE!! OH AND FINALLY THIS JUST HAPPENED BUT THE REAR PASSENGER POWER WINDOW SWITCH WENT COMPLETELY OUT! *TR

HE STATED THAT THIS IS A BRAND NEW VEHICLE AND THE FAILURE HAS BEEN OCCURRING SINCE IT WAS PURCHASED. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THIS WAS JUST THE NATURE OF THE VEHICLE AND FAILED TO MENTION IF IT WAS DUE TO A MANUFACTURER DEFECT OR DESIGN FLAW. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 3,000.
I OWN A 2007 NISSAN FRONTIER. THE BRAKES WERE VERY SOFT MAKING SUDDEN STOPS DIFFICULT. THERE HAS NOT BEEN AN ACIDENT TO DATE - ONLY NUMEROUS NEAR MISSES. I TOOK THE VEHICAL BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP WITH THE PROBLEM, AND WAS INFORMED THAT BRAKES WERE FINE AND THAT WAS HOW BRAKES WERE SUPPOSED TO BE ON THAT MODEL.I WAS FILING THE COMPLAIT TO ASSIT IN COLLECTION OF DATA FOR A POTENTIAL RECALL OR FORCED REDESIGN OF THE BRAKING SYSTEM.*AK

GAS GAUGE SHOWS AS EMPTY EVEN THOUGH IT HAS A FULL TANK. SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. WAS A RECALL IN 2010 CONCERNING THIS ISSUE ALTHOUGH NISSAN SAYS IT'S NOT A CAMPAIGN SERVICE. WAS NOT NOTIFIED ABOUT THE RECALL EVEN THOUGH IT SYMPTOMS FOR THE RECALL ARE EXACTLY THE ISSUE I HAVE. HAVE HAD THE ISSUE FOR OVER 7 YEARS. HAVE CONTACTED DEALER AND NISSANUSA AND BOTH DENY THE RECALL.

DRIVER SEAT BELT DOESN'T RETRACT. PASSENGER FRONT AIRBAG WARNING LIGHTS ON. A/C SWITCH HAS DEAD SPOT POSITION #2.
2007 NISSAN FRONTIER PICK UP. CONSUMER STATES FUEL SENDING UNIT IN THE GAS TANK HAS MALFUNCTIONED *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED HIS VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE CURRENT RECALL, EVEN THOUGH HE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM. *JB
