Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)P 205 / 60 /16 1. Driving on the surface road in Atlanta, and without warning the sidewall of the Firestone FT 140 failed (see picture). 2. The 2020 Nissan Kicks only had 21,100 miles on the car at the time of the incident 3. There is no puncture in the tread and I have the tire in my possession and would be happy to may the tire available for inspection by an NHTSA representative. 4. I did NOT feel safe with the other 3 (inherently the same tire, as it was OEM) tires I had them replaced as a precaution. Regards, [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
