FAULTY DOOR ACTUATOR IN 2003 NISSAN MURANO. DOORS WILL NOT LOCK OR UNLOCK WITH FOB. *TR
NISSAN 2003 MURANO-DRIVER SEAT IS ROCKING SIDE TO SIDE WHEN DRIVING. SEAT IS MAKING LOUD CREAKING SOUND WHEN DRIVING. ESPECIALLY NOISY WHEN MAKING TURNS OR COMING TO A STOP. *TR
I HAVE A 2003 NISSAN MURANO. AT APPROXIMATELY 81,000 MILES I NOTICED A BURNING OIL SMELL AFTER DRIVING. I HAD THE CAR CHECKED AND THE TRANSFER CASE WAS OUT OF OIL. THE SERVICE DEPT. RESEALED THE TRANSFER CASE UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY. AT ABOUT 96,000 MILES I HAD THE VEHICLE CHECKED OUT BEFORE END OF WARRANTY AND AGAIN THE TRANSFER CASE LEAKED OUT THE OIL AND I HAD SERVICE ON TRANSFER CASE. THE SEALS HAD TO BE REDONE, ALSO UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY. I HAVE THE CAR IN NOW FOR ROUTINE SERVICE WITH TRANSMISSION FLUID FLUSH AND FILL AND BECAUSE I AM GETTING A STRANGE TICKING NOISE WHEN ACCELERATING. NOTIFIED THAT CVT FLUID LEAKING ONTO OUTSIDE OF TRANSFER CASE. NEEDS TRANSMISSION SEAL REDONE. OVER $2000. I AM GETTING THE SEAL REDONE UNDER TRANSMISSION 120,000 WARRANTY FROM NISSAN. DEALERSHIP SAYS I SHOULD GET THE TRANSFER CASE SEALS REDONE BUT THEY ARE NOT COVERED UNDER THE TRANSMISSION WARRANTY AND I CANNOT AFFORD THE CLOSE TO $2000 EXTRA THIS WOULD COST. SEEMS THAT THE SEALS SHOULD LAST MORE THAN 8,000 MILES AS THEY SEEMED TOO AFTER BUYING THE VEHICLE NEW AND NOT REPLACING THEM UNTIL AFTER 50,000 MILES. AFTER READING MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT A PRESSURE VALVE AND OTHER TRANSMISSION ISSUES I BELIEVE THE TRANSMISSION SHOULD BE REPLACED AS I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT JUST REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION FORWARD SEAL(?) WILL NOT CORRECT THE LEAKING PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION TRANSFER CASE AND THAT THE TRANSMISSION WILL "GO OUT" AFTER THE FACTORY WARRANTY. I BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSFER CASE/TRANSMISSION IN THIS YEAR/MODEL OF VEHICLE AND THAT NISSAN KNOWS THIS. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL. *TR
WHILE DRIVING MY 2003 NISSAN MURANO AWD SL I SUDDENLY LOOSE ACCELERATION, THE ENGINE WILL NOT REV AND THE RPM INDICATOR IS 0, THE ENGINE IS STILL RUNNING, THERE ARE NO WARNING LIGHT INDICATORS. AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES THE ACCELERATOR WILL RE-ENGAGE AND THE CAR WILL ACCELERATE AGAIN. THIS HAS HAPPENED 5 TIMES IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS, TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG, NO CODES ISSUED. I HAVE REPLACED IN THE PAST 3 YEARS THE TRANSMISSION IN THE LAST 7 MONTHS THE FUEL PUMP, THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER, THE O2 SENSORS HAVE ALL BEEN REPLACED. THE DEALER INDICATED THAT THIS NOT A PROBLEM THEY HAVE BEEN AWARE OF AND HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT COULD BE...SOUND LIKE THEY ARE NOT BEING EXACTLY FORTHCOMING ON THIS ISSUE. *TR
WHILE DRIVING THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS, ON VERY WINDY ROADS, I WAS IN A TURN TO THE RIGHT WHEN I HEARD A LOUD POP AND THE FRONT DRIVERS SEAT DROPPED TO BACK AND TO THE LFT, CAUSING ME TO SWERVE AND NEARLY IMPACT THE MEDIAN. I PULLED OVER AND LOOK UNDER THE SEAT AN SAW THAT THE REAR BRACKET HAD SNAPPED ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE. DOING SOME RESEARCH, I AM LEARNING THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE AND THAT I WAS SPARED ONLY BY THE GRACE OF GOD. THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BY NISSAN BEFORE SOMEONE DIES. *JS
SUN VISOR ON BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE FALL DOWN AT WILL. VISORS STAY IN ROOF CLIP BUT SIMPLY ROTATE AND FLOP DOWN. SAFETY HAZARD AS DRIVER'S VISION MAY BE OBSTRUCTED. COSTLY REPLACEMENT ONLY GOOD FIX. *TR
SUN VISOR UNEXPECTEDLY DROPS DOWN WHILE DRIVING CAUSING VIEW OF ROAD TO BE OBSTRUCTED. *TR
I HAVE A 2003 NISSAN MURANO. I HAVE 115K MILES AND FOR THE 5 MONTHS, I'VE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM ALL OTHERS HAVE REPORTED, PRESS THE GAS AND THE CAR DOESN'T MOVE FOR A FEW SECONDS THEN JERKS FORWARD. COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS WHEN IN TRAFFIC AND TRYING TO CHANGE LANES. IN FACT, I ONLY DISCOVERED THIS PROBLEM WHEN I WAS IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC LATELY. I TOOK IT TO GOODYEAR COMPANY, THEY CHARGED ME $69 TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM AND TOLD ME IT'S THE TRANSMISSION. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE SINCE I AM 100% SURE NISSAN KNOWS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM BUT IS IGNORING IT. THANK YOU. *TR
I OWN A 2003 NISSAN MURANO. I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE SEVERAL MONTHS AGO.. LAST NIGHT WE WERE DRIVING ON A VERY CURVY MOUNTAIN ROAD WHEN A CAR CAME INTO SIGHT. WHEN WE SWITCHED TO DIM, THE LIGHTS WENT OUT COMPLETELY. THIS PUT US IN TOTAL DARKNESS. IT TOOK A MINUTE TO ADJUST OUR EYES AND REALIZE WHAT HAPPENED. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE DIMMER SWITCH IS ON THE STEERING WHEEL. THE SWITCH TO TURN THEM OFF IS ON THE END OF THE DIMMER HANDLE. WE KEEP OUR RUNNER LIGHTS ON EACH TIME WE ARE DRIVING THE CAR. SOME HOW WHEN YOU GO TO SWITCH THE LIGHTS THE KNOB TURNS TO OFF, WHICH MAKES THEM GO OUT, WHEN YOU SWITCH FROM BRIGHT TO DIM AND FROM DIM TO BRIGHT. THIS IS A VERY SCARY SITUATION TO BE IN. I WONDER IF OTHER FOLKS HAVE HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM. WE WERE VERY FORTUNATE THAT WE DID NOT CRASH. *TR
A WELL MAINTAINED NISSAN MURANO OF 7 YEARS STARTED MAKING LOUD THUMPING NOISES AFTER LESS THAN 78K MILES. OUR MECHANIC SUSPECTED TRANSMISSION RELATED ISSUES, WHICH OCCUR FREQUENTLY ON MURANO AND ADVISED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP. NISSAN MECHANICS PINPOINTED A FAULTY TRANSFER CASE TO BE THE CAUSE OF THE NOISE. FURTHERMORE NISSAN INDICATED THAT IT WOULD BE TOO DANGEROUS TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE FACT THAT IF THE TRANSFER CASE FAILED COMPLETELY DURING DRIVING, IT WOULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO COME TO AN IMMEDIATE HALT, WHICH IF DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY COULD CAUSE A SERIOUS HAZARD. SINCE THE TRANSFER CASE FAILURE WAS IMMINENT, IT HAD TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $2650. FURTHER INVESTIGATION ON THE INTERNET INDICATES THAT TRANSFER CASE FAILURE IN MURANO IS COMMON, HOWEVER NISSAN HAS FAILED TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE AND THE POTENTIAL HAZARDS IT MAY CAUSE.
AFTER DRIVING A WHILE IN STOP & GO TRAFFIC THE VEHICLE HESITATES AND DOESN'T ACCELERATE WHEN YOU DEPRESS THE GAS PEDAL. THEN AFTER A FEW SECONDS THE ENGINE REVS UP AND THE VEHICLE LURCHES FORWARD AND SOMETIMES STALLS IN TRAFFIC. ONCE THE VEHICLE STALLS, IT TAKES A LONG TIME BEFORE YOU CAN RESTART THE ENGINE. THIS SITUATION HAPPENS ALMOST EVERY TIME I'M IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, WHICH IS ESPECIALLY DANGEROUS ON THE FREEWAYS AND WHEN MAKING LEFT TURNS AT INTERSECTIONS. I'VE WORKED WITH MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP BUT THEY HAVEN'T COME UP WITH A SOLUTION, AND IT'S BECOMING VERY EXPENSIVE FOR ME TO HAVE THEM RESEARCH THE PROBLEM AND NOT FIND A FIX. *TR
I OWN A 2003 NISSAN MURANO AND THE SUN VISORS HAVE BEEN REPLACED TWICE AND THEY GO BAD AFTER ABOUT A YEAR. THE DESIGN OF THESE SUN VISORS IS REALLY BAD AND IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE IT BLOCKS YOUR VISION AND IT MAY CAUSE ACCIDENTS. I'M SURE NISSAN IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM BUT IS CHOOSING NOT TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THEY ARE PROBABLY WAITING FOR AN ACCIDENT THAT WILL RESULT IN A FATALITY BEFORE THEY DO A RECALL ON ALL NISSAN MURANO'S. LAST YEAR, I ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT WHEN I WAS DRIVING AND HIT A BUMP AND THE SUN VISOR CAME DOWN. MY REACTION WAS TO TRY TO SEE UNDER THE SUN VISOR BUT SOME HOW I ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF THE CAR AND FORTUNATELY I DID NOT HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME (ALMOST DID). PLEASE DO SOMETHING TO HELP US. HUNDREDS OF MURANO OWNERS HAVE THIS PROBLEM. IT IS ALL OVER THE INTERNET.
THE 8-WAY POWER SEAT FIRST STOPPED MOVING THE INNER LEFT SIDE (CLOSEST TO THE SEAT BACK) OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT (EFFECTIVELY MAKING THE POWER SEAT NON-FUNCTIONAL); THE SEAT LATER STARTED MOVING, ROCKING, SLIGHTLY FORWARD, NOTICEABLY (AND UNFORTUNATELY) DURING BRAKING. *TR
2003 NISSAN MURANO. DRIVER'S SEAT FRAME BROKE, CAUSING SEAT TO PITCH DOWN AND TO THE LEFT. VEHICLE HAS APPROX. 69,000 MILES. ALL DRIVER'S UNDER 200 LBS. *TR
I WAS DRIVING TO TAKE MY BOSS AND 2 COWORKERS TO LUNCH. I WAS ON ROBINS AF BASE IN THE LEFT HAND EXIT LANE. MY CAR JUST ALL OF A SUDDEN LOST POWER AND STALLED... NO BRAKES... NO POWER... ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE FRONT DASHBOARD CAME ON. I ALMOST GOT HIT IN THE REAR BY THE CAR BEHIND ME BECAUSE I WAS IN A TURN LANE AND MY CAR JUST STOPPED IN FRONT OF THEM. I WAS ABLE TO RESTART MY CAR AND TURN AROUND AND IMMEDIATELY PARKED IT AND WE HAD TO WALK A WAYS TO GET TO ANOTHER VEHICLE TO DRIVE... THEN MY HUSBAND CAME AND DROVE THE CAR TO MECHANIC WHO LIVES UP THE STREET WHO HOOKED IT UP TO THE SENSOR THING... IT IS THE CAM SHAFT SENSOR. NOW LOOKING AT THE OTHER COMPLAINTS I AM AFRAID THAT THERE IS MORE THAT WILL OCCUR. I CAN'T REALLY TRUST THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT IT BECAUSE THEY TRIED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS TO CHARGE FOR SERVICES NOT NEEDED EACH AT LEAST $800. I PAID $80 TO HAVE MY TIRES BALANCED AND THEY ONLY BALANCED 3 OF THE 4! SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE CAM SENSOR THAT NISSAN REALLY NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING FOR THE VEHICLES NOT ON THE LIST. THIS IS NOT RIGHT FOR ALL THE CUSTOMERS WHO PAID GOOD MONEY FOR A WORKING VEHICLE IN GOOD CONDITION. I STILL HAVE TO CONTACT THE DEALER BUT I DON'T EXPECT FROM THE PREVIOUS COMPLAINTS THEY WILL BE ANY HELP AND I REFUSE TO PAY THAT KIND OF MONEY FOR A DEFAULT IN THE VEHICLE THAT THEY ARE AWARE OF AND REFUSE TO RECALL! 2003 MURANO - WHEN IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE FOR 5-10 SECONDS WHEN PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL. DEALERSHIP HAD MY CAR FOR 2 DAYS AND FIRST SAID IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION BUT THEN NISSAN WOULD NOT APPROVE IT TO BE REPLACED EVEN UNDER WARRANTY. THEN TOLD ME IT WAS THE TCM THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED FOR $1000.00. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND NISSAN NEEDS TO STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND REPLACE THESE FAULTY DANGEROUS PARTS FREE OF CHARGE TO THE CUSTOMER! INSTEAD OF DIAGNOSING IMPROPER THINGS AND CHARGING THE CUSTOMER THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR NON-FIXES. *TR
CAR MADE HORRIBLE GRINDING NOISE; STOPPED WORKING. TOWED TO POK NISSAN AND UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY THEY REPLACED TRANSFER CASE AND REAR DIFFERENTIAL. NOW HERE IT IS BARELY ONE YEAR LATER AND JUST OVER 12000 MILES AND THE TRANSFER CASE IS LEAKING AGAIN. WAS TOLD BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS AND THAT NISSAN SHOULD MAKE GOOD. HAVING REVIEWED SEVERAL COMPLAINTS FILED WITH NHTSA OF SAME PROBLEMS I FOUND IT UNBELIEVABLE THAT NISSA FAILS TO CONSIDER THIS AS A RECALL OR ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY. *TT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 NISSAN MURANO. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH AND STOPPED FOR A TRAFFIC STOP. AS THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE FROM THE STOP, THERE WAS A DELAYED RESPONSE FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE VIOLENTLY LUNGED FROWARD AFTER SEVERAL SECONDS. THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF AND THE VEHICLE RESUMED NORMALLY. THE FAILURE RECURRED WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN FOR OVER A ONE HOUR PERIOD. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,000.
THIS STATEMENT IS IN ADDITION OF NUMURAS SAFETY RECALLS. JULY 2008 ON INTERSTATE 22 MYRTLE BEACH MY 2003 MURANO STALLED OUT WITH SON AND DAUGHTER. JULY 2009 IT STALLED OUT IN WHITEVILLE NC. IT STALLED AGAIN. ON BOTH OCCASIONS NISSAN REPLACED A BLOWN A BLOWN FUSE. NOTHING ELSE. AUGUST 2010 TRAFFIC THE MURANO STALLED AT 65 MPH IN HEAVY TRAFFIC NEARLY CAUSING A TEN CAR PILE UP. WE WERE LUCKY. TOWED MURANO,TO NISSAN OF MYRTLE BEACH, FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED. ON ALL THE RECALLS MAILED TO US REFER:THESE SAFETY RECALLS COULD CAUSE FIRE OR CRASHES. MY WIFE IS AFRAID OF OUR DEATH TRAP OF OUR 2003 MURANO. THE FUEL PUMP IS NOT A RECALL,BUT IF YOU LOOK UP COMPLAINTS ON FUEL PUMPS AND BLOWN FUSES YOU SEE I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE MY CAR IS A DEATH TRAP. AFTER EXTENDED IDLE, THE VEHICLE BECOMES UNRESPONSIVE TO FUEL FEED. WHEN THE GAS PEDAL IS DEPRESSED THERE IS A HESITATION (2-5 SECONDS) AND THEN SUDDENLY THE VEHICLE WILL LURCH FORWARD. THE PROBLEM TEMPORARILY GOES AWAY WHEN THE CAR IS SHUT OFF FOR A FEW MINUTES. *TR
ON MY 2003 NISSAN MURANO, THE SUN VISOR STOPPED WORKING AND NOW THE VISOR FALLS DURING NORMAL DRIVING N& WILL NOT STAY UP. THIS STARTED LAST WEEK AND WE HAVE HAD TWO NEAR MISSES SINCE THEN WHERE THE VISOR DROPPED DOWN WHILE MY WIFE WAS DRIVING RESULTING IN HERE FIELD OF VISION BEING IMPAIRED. 2003 NISSAN MURANO SL: THE CAR WOULD NOT RESPOND TO THE ACCELERATOR. THE ENGINE WOULD REV UP, BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. THEN WITHOUT WARNING, THE CAR WILL GO "INTO GEAR" AND MOVE. CAR WOULD LOSE DRIVE TRAIN POWER, BUT ALL OTHER FUNCTIONS, RADIO, AC, STEERING WOULD STILL WORK. THE CAR SIMPLY WOULD NOT GO WHEN THE ACCELERATOR WAS PRESSED. THEN THE TRANSMISSION WOULD WORK ALL OF A SUDDEN AND THEN QUIT ALL OF A SUDDEN. *TR
AFTER STOPPING AT INTERSECTION I PRESSED THE GAS AND CAR ROLLED INTO INTERSECTION. WITHIN A FEW SECONDS CAR TOOK OFF LIKE A BAT OUT OF ???. THIS WAS QUITE SCARY AS A TRUCK WAS APPROACHING. THIS CAR HAS DONE THIS SEVERAL TIMES AND LATELY THIS HAS BECOME AN EVERYDAY OCCURRENCE. THIS IS QUITE DANGEROUS BECAUSE YOU ARE CLUELESS TO WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN. I THOUGHT THE PREVIOUS RECALL CONCERNING THE AIR INTAKE WAS A SOLUTION. IT IS MORE THAN OBVIOUS THAT IT IS NOT. THIS IS TOO DANGEROUS TO BE IGNORED. I INVITE YOU TO DRIVE MY CAR FOR A DAY AND THEN MAYBE YOU WILL HAVE SOMETHING DONE ABOUT THIS. I NOTICED THERE ARE SEVERAL MORE COMPLAINTS FILED BUT I DO NOT SEE ANY RESOLUTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST WHERE THE TECHNICIAN ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA RECALL CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 09V169000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). IN ADDITION, THE OXYGEN SENSOR WOULD NEED REPLACING. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED YET THE FAILURE PERSISTED AFTER THE RECALL REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIANS WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 03V455000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) BUT WAS ADVISED BY THE MANUFACTURER THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 NISSAN MURANO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ALL FOUR POWER DOOR LOCKS WOULD LOCK AND UNLOCK INDEPENDENTLY. THE DEALER WAS CALLED WHO ADVISED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE LOCKS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED THAT THEY WOULD OFFER A $250 DISCOUNT FROM THE $700 COST OF REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,200.

THE FIRST INCIDENT OCCURRED WHILE I WAS DRIVING 60MPH ON THE INTERSTATE. THE CAR BEGAN DO LOSE ACCELERATION. IT JERKED AND FINALLY BEGAN TO RESPOND TO THE GAS PEDAL. THE SES LIGHT CAME ON ALSO. IT WAS REPAIRED AT THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY SAID IT WAS THE OXYGEN SENSORS. THIS COST $1000.00. FIVE MONTHS LATER THE CAR LOST POWER WHILE I WAS DRIVING IN A TUNNEL. I CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP, TURNED THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTED IT. I DROVE STRAIGHT TO THE DEALERSHIP BUT BEFORE GETTING THERE THE CAR LOST POWER AGAIN AT A STOPLIGHT, , WOULD NOT ACCELERATE, FINALLY REGAINED SOME POWER AND I BASICALLY COASTED INTO THE DEALERSHIP. I WAS TOLD IT WAS NOW A CAMSHAFT AND CRANKSHAFT SENSOR. THIS COST 420.00. A FEW WEEKS LATER AFTER COMING OFF THE RAMP OF THE INTERSTATE THE CAR LURCHED SO HARD THAT IT HURT MY BACK. I FELT LIKE IT JUMPED OUT OF GEAR BUT IT WAS STILL IN DRIVE AND LOST ACCELERATION AGAIN. I RESTARTED IT AND CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN. THE NEXT DAY THE SES LIGHT CAME ON. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS ON THE COMPUTER AND FOUND OUT THAT MANY 2003 NISSAN MURANOS WERE RECALLED FOR THIS VERY PROBLEM BUT MY VIN NUMBER IS NOT ON THE LIST. IT STATED THAT THE CIRCUIT BOARD FOR THE CRANK POSITION SENSOR OR CAM POSITION SENSOR MAY HAVE AN IMPROPER SOLDER JOINT AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. IT STATED THAT THE CAR COULD STOP WITHOUT WARNING AND CAUSE A CRASH.

NISSAN SENT AN EXTENDED WARRANTY TO OWNERS OF THESE VEHICLES THAT STATES IT COVERS TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS UP TO 120,000 MILES, HOWEVER THE DEALER WON'T HONOR IT AND WANTS A $2,000 DEPOSIT TO ORDER THE PARTS BEFORE IT WILL SCHEDULE THE REPAIR.I CONTACTED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND THEY SAID THE REPAIR IS COVERED, AND I TOLD THE DEALER THIS, BUT THE DEALER SAID NISSAN WON'T REIMBURSE HIM SO HE WON'T MAKE THE REPAIRS UNLESS I PAY, AND PAY UP FRONT, NO LESS.
