ALL FOUR POWER DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS ARE BAD IN THE CAR. THIS IS PREVENTING THE DOORS FROM PROPERLY LOCKING AND UNLOCKING. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE FOR THE CAR. I HAVE LOOKED ONLINE AND THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS ON 2004 MURANOS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 NISSAN MURANO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT PROPERLY RESPOND TO ACCELERATION ATTEMPTS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO CONFIRMED THAT THERE WAS A FAILURE WITH THE TRANSMISSION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 134,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 134,300.
DELAYED IN ACCELERATION. FAULTY CVT TRANSMISSION. *TR
THERE ARE THREE WAYS TO LOCK AND UNLOCK THE DOORS; USING THE REMOTE, USING THE KEY AND USING THE INTERIOR LOCKS. THE REMOTE DOES NOT LOCK NOR UNLOCK THE DRIVER'S NOR THE FRONT PASSENGER DOORS. THE KEY, WHICH CAN ONLY BE USED IN THE DRIVER'S DOOR LOCK, WILL LOCK AND UNLOCK ALL DOORS EXCEPT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. THE INTERIOR LOCKING MECHANISM LOCATED ON THE DRIVERS DOOR WILL NOT UNLOCK NOR LOCK THE FRONT DRIVER'S NOR THE PASSENGER SIDE DOORS. AT THIS TIME THE ONLY WAY TO UNLOCK THE DRIVER'S AND THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOORS IS TO REACH OVER AND USE THE INTERIOR HANDLE. ONCE THE FRONT DOORS ARE UNLOCKED THE ONLY WAY TO LOCK THEM IS TO MANUALLY MOVE THE LOCKING SWITCH TO THE LOCKED POSITION. THIS PROBLEM SEEMS TO HAVE AFFECTED HUNDREDS IF NOT THOUSANDS OF NISSAN MURANO'S THE INABILITY TO LOCK AND UNLOCK THE FRONT DOORS IS CRITICAL TO THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE'S OCCUPANTS. THE DRIVER CANNOT LOCK THE FRONT DOORS, WHICH IS PARAMOUNT WHEN A CHILD IS RIDING IN THE CAR. NOT LOCKING THE DOORS CAN BE CRITICAL IN THE EVENT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT. IT IS A WELL KNOWN FACT THAT THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT IS IN THE CAR AND THE INABILITY OF THE DRIVER TO INSURE THAT ALL DOORS ARE LOCKED IS CRITICAL TO EVERYONE'S SAFETY. HAVING AN UNLOCKED DOOR OPEN IN A CRASH INCREASES THE PROBABILITY THAT AN OCCUPANT WILL BE EJECTED FROM A CAR THEREBY INCREASING INJURIES AND THE PROBABILITY OF DEATH; NOT KNOWING THAT ALL DOORS ARE LOCKED RESULTS IN UNNECESSARY RISK. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 NISSAN MURANO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SUN VISOR FELL FROM ITS HOUSING, MOMENTARILY DISTRACTING THE CONTACT FROM THE ROAD. THE DEALER WAS ADVISED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THEY WERE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE TYPE OF FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
SEAT PAN BRACE BROKE WHILE I WAS STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN. 2ND TIME THIS HAPPENED. 1ST TIME WAS ABOUT 4 YEARS PREVIOUS AT ABOUT 60,000 MILES. PREVIOUS REPAIR WAS AT A NISSAN DEALER AND I REQUESTED A PRICE ADJUSTMENT FROM NISSAN BUT WAS DENIED. I HAVE DEFECTIVE PART IF YOU NEED. *TR
5/10/12: STOPPED IN TRAFFIC ON I-75 SOUTH IN TN. HAD DRIVEN APPROX 5 HOURS. TRAFFIC PROCEEDED TO NORMAL SPEED. STEPPED ON GAS PEDAL, CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. THEN IMMEDIATELY SPED OFF. DEALER WAS FINALLY ABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE ON 5/6/2013 (NOW OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY). THE ISSUE WAS FIRST RECOGNIZED BY NISSAN NOV 2006 (NTB05-084A). NISSAN CORP HAS CHOSEN TO NOT RECALL THE VEHICLES. THEY ALSO WILL NOT ASSIST WITH THE REPAIR ($2050). WAS ALSO TOLD THAT THE REPAIR MAY NOT FIX THE ISSUE. SOME PEOPLE HAVE FIXED THIS ISSUE ONLY TO END UP HAVING THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED ($5000+). THE ISSUE IS ONLY APPARENT IN WARMER WEATHER (AND NOT DAILY). *TR

DRIVER LEFT SEAT HAD A STRUCTURAL FAILURE ON ITS BRACKET THAT RESULTS FROM METAL FATIGUE. THIS FAILURE CAUSED REARWARD TILTING OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATED AND POTENTIALLY COMPROMISE VEHICLE CONTROL. *TR
THE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR DOES NOT WORK WHEN THE BUTTON IS PUSHED FROM THE INSIDE. THE LEVER MUST BE MOVED MANUALLY. THIS POSES A SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO THE FACT THAT IN AN EMERGENCY THE DOOR STAYS LOCKED DISALLOWING A QUICK EXIT . *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 NISSAN MURANO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD LOSE ACCELERATION POWER SPORADICALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE FAILURE. THE DEALER REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID NUMEROUS TIMES BUT THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE FAILURE WOULD RECUR MOSTLY WHEN DRIVING DOWNHILL AND MOST RECENTLY, THE VEHICLE WOULD STALL SPORADICALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE A DIAGNOSTIC WAS PERFORMED, WHICH LOCATED THE FAILURE AS THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPING AND LOW PRESSURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. NISSAN MURANO 96" BEGAN LEAKING ENGINE OIL, WENT IN TO FIX UNDER A NISSAN WARRANTY. LEAK WAS NOT FIXED AND THE POWER STEERING BEGAN TO LEAK. SERVICE MANAGER AT DEALERSHIP, AUTOBARN NISSAN, DON MEKOOLA TOLD ME THESE ENGINES BEGIN LEAKING AT THIS POINT AND THE DEALERSHIP WOULD NOT EVEN OFFER ENOUGH ON A TRADE TO WHOLESALE THE MURANO. THAT TELLS YOU ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW. NISSAN USA WILL DO NOTHING AND THE DEALER WILL DO NOTHING. I HAD NO IDEA THE CAR WAS THIS BAD A SHAPE AND CONTINUED DRIVING IT. NOW I FOLLOW DON'S ADVICE AND TOP OFF BOTH ENGINE OIL AND POWER STEERING FLUID EVERY WEEK. NOT THE BEST ANSWER, BUT I HAVE NO CHOICE. *TR
TRANSFER CASE FAILED THE FIRST TIME AROUND 75,000 MILES WHEN I WAS DRIVING. SUDDENLY SLOWED DOWN AND HEAR LOUD BANG NOISE. NOISE CONTINUE AS I COAST THE VEHICLE TO A STOP. LOUD BANG NOISE, AND THE VEHICLE WOULD SHAKE. GOT IT REPLACE $3000. ONE YEAR LATER AT AROUND 96,000 ON 3/26/2012. IT HAPPEN AGAIN. SAME EXACT SYMPTOMS. NEVER BUYING A NISSAN EVER AGAIN. THERE IS A SERVICE BULLETIN ABOUT IT, SO THEY ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM BUT YET THEY AREN'T DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THE EXTENDED CVT WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER THE TRANSFER CASE. EVEN THOUGH THE TRANSFER CASE IS CONNECTED TO THE CVT. *JS
I HAVE A 2004 NISSAN MURANO WITH ONLY 63000 MILES. I ENCOUNTERED A LACK OR DECREASE OF POWER WHILE DRIVING AT CONSTANT SPEED OF 55MPH. THE ENGINE WAS STILL ON BUT THE ENGINE WON'T RESPOND IF I PRESS ON THE PEDAL. AND I HAD TO SLOWLY MANEUVER THE VEHICLE TO THE SHOULDER WHILE DECELERATING. FORTUNATELY I HAD A CHANCE TO PARK THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I TURNED OF THE CAR AND WAITED A MINUTE AND THE CAR STARTED BACK AGAIN BUT I NOTICE A HUMMING SOUND COMING FROM THE TRANSMISSION ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU LET GO OF THE GAS PEDAL WHILE DRIVING. AND I WOULD SAY A 10 TO 15% DECREASE OF ENGINE POWER WHEN YOU TRY TO ACCELERATE COMPARED BEFORE THIS INCIDENT HAPPENED. I HOPE THIS SITUATION BE FIXED BY NISSAN BEFORE SOMEBODY GETS HURT. THE DRIVER SIDE VISOR RANDOMLY FALLS DOWN OBSTRUCTING MY VIEW WHICH CAN CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. *TR
WHEN STARTED A LOUD WHINE IS HEARD AND INCREASES WITH ENGINE SPEED. UPON INITIALLY ACCELERATING AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE WILL SLOW DOWN TO A CRAWL AND NOT SPEED UP EVEN WITH PEDAL TO THE FLOOR. SUDDENLY IT WILL ACCELERATE WITHOUT WARNING WHILE THE WHINE CHANGES IN PITCH. THEN WHEN YOU STOP AT A LIGHT IT WILL NOT ACCELERATE WHEN THE LIGHT TURNS GREEN NEARLY CAUSING PEOPLE TO RUN INTO THE BACK OF ME. I ALMOST DIDN'T MAKE IT THOUGHT THE LIGHT BEFORE IT TURNED RED. IF YOU DO GET IT GOING IT WILL LOSE POWER WITHOUT WARNING. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION TO DRIVE IN. THIS BEHAVIOR STARTED AFTER HAVING THE FLUID CHANGED AT THE DEALERSHIP. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED IN AND WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT THE BELT WAS BAD AND THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $4268.55. IT IS OBVIOUS BY NISSAN DOUBLING THE FACTORY WARRANTY ON THESE CVT'S THAT THEY KNEW OF A DEFECT BUT CHOSE NOT TO ISSUE A RECALL. IT MAKES NO SENSE TO HAVE TO REPLACE AN ENTIRE TRANSMISSION BECAUSE OF A PART FAILURE INSIDE. THIS IS A VERY POOR DESIGN IF IT CAN NOT BE REPAIRED. *TR
DRIVER SIDE SEAT MOVES WHILE DRIVING CAUSING A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. THE BACK LEFT SEAT BRACKET IS BROKEN DUE TO A WEAK METAL PART. *JS
I HAVE A NISSAN MURANO 2004 WITH APPROX 66,000 MILES...ALL FOUR ACTUATORS FAILED AT THE SAME TIME. WHEN I LOOKED INTO THIS ISSUE ON LINE, I SEE THAT MANY OTHER MURANO OWNERS HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. WHEN THE ACTUATORS FAIL YOU ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO LOOK THE DOORS, THERE CAUSING A SECURITY ISSUE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN. I FIND IT STRANGE THAT SO MANY PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. MY HUSBAND AND PARENTS HAVE 2004 MODEL CARS, AND HAVE NO ISSUES WITH THEIR LOOKS. PLEASE HOLD NISSAN RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS ISSUE. *TR
I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE IN RESIDENTIAL AREA, IT SOUNDED LIKE METAL WAS GRINDING THE VEHICLE FILLED WITH SMOKE, AND .COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. I HAD TO HAVE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER AS IT WAS UNABLE TO FUNCTION. AS SOON AS THE MECHANIC TURNED ON THE CAR HE STATED IT WAS THE TRANSFER CASE. FROM MY RESEARCH THE TRANSFER CASE IS CONNECTED TO THE TRANSMISSION AS WELL AS THE FRONT AND REAR AXLES BY MEANS OF DRIVE SHAFT.THIS IS A DEFINITE SAFETY ISSUE, IF I WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AND THIS HAPPENED AND THE VEHICLE STALLED I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN A TERRIBLE CAR CRASH. THE DEALER SAID IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY AND THE COST OF REPAIR WAS $3,800.00. THIS SIS RIDICULOUS. NISSAN SHOULD DO A RECALL ON THIS PART. I SEARCHED THE INTERNET AND THERE ARE SO MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE IN THE SAME MAKE/MODEL AND YEAR OF THIS VEHICLE.SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE, NISSAN SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL ON THIS PART ITS VERY DANGEROUS. FOR THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE ALREADY PAID SHOULD RECEIVE A REFUND OR PARTIAL REFUND BECAUSE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND IT IS IN FACT A SAFETY ISSUE. DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS FAIL TO LOCK DOORS WITHIN SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. ALSO AFFECTED GAS FILL DOOR BECAUSE IT IS CONNECTED WITH AN ELECTRICAL SOLENOID. *TR
DRIVERS SIDE SUN VISOR HAS LOST ABILITY TO STAY IN UPRIGHT POSITION. WILL DROP DOWN UNEXPECTEDLY CAUSING A SAFETY ISSUE AND CANNOT BE LEFT IN ANY POSITION BUT FULLY DOWN. *TR
DRIVER SIDE SEAT BRACKET BROKE DURING A TURN. TEMPORARILY CAUSED ME TO LOOSE CONTROL OF VEHICLE BUT WAS ABLE TO REGAIN CONTROL BEFORE AN ACCIDENT COULD HAPPEN. OUR ONLY CAR AND WE HAVE A 2 1/2 YEAR OLD CHILD. AFTER DOING RESEARCH ON THIS, I DISCOVERED THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON FAILURE AND NISSAN HAS YET TO ISSUE A RECALL. *KB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 NISSAN MURANO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING UP AN INCLINE THE VEHICLE LOST POWER ABNORMALLY. THE CONTACT HAD TO SHIFT INTO REVERSE IN ORDER TO MANEUVER THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROADWAY. THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 05V319000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: ALTERNATOR GENERATOR REGULATOR). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER NOR WAS THE VEHICLE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 71,000.
SUN VISOR DROPS WHILE DRIVING COVERING VISION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS. *KB
COMPLETE TRANSFER CASE FAILURE WITH NO WARNING WHATSOEVER. MECHANIC ADVISED DAMAGE MAY BE DUE TO OPERATING THE AWD FEATURE ON DRY PAVEMENT WHICH DID NOT AND HAS NOT OCCURRED. NISSAN HAS EXTENDED THE WARRANTY ON THE CVT TRANSMISSION TO 10 YEARS/120,000 MILES BUT IT'S NOT CLEAR WHETHER THIS INCLUDES THE TRANSFER CASE. ADDING TO THIS DOUBT, WHEN I GOOGLE THIS PROBLEM IT SEEMS HUNDREDS OF MURANO OWNERS HAVE BEEN HAVING THE EXACT SAME DILEMMA WITH THEIR VEHICLES OF SIMILAR AGE/MILEAGE. I CONTACTED NISSAN NORTH AMERICA THIS MORNING BUT THEIR COMPUTERS WERE DOWN AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO HELP ME AT THAT TIME. EVEN SO, THE TRANSFER CASE SHOULD NOT FAIL SO CATASTROPHICALLY ON A VEHICLE OF THIS AGE/MILEAGE THAT HAS BEEN REGULARLY MAINTAINED AND DRIVEN GENTLY. OBVIOUSLY THIS IS A FAIRLY MAJOR COMPONENT TO JUST FAIL WITHOUT WARNING. I'M JUST WONDERING HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL NEED TO REPORT THIS BEFORE NISSAN WILL RECOGNIZE AND RESOLVE THIS SERIOUS SAFETY PROBLEM. *TR
THE PRESSURE HOSE OF THE POWER STEERING IS LEAKING EXTENSIVELY, TO THE POINT WHERE IT REQUIRED THE RESERVOIR TO BE REFILLED AN ABOUT 10 DAYS. UPON CLOSER INSPECTION, THE POWER STEERING FLUID CAN BE SEEN DRIPPING ONTO THE EXHAUST, CREATING SMOKE AND A BURNING SMELL WHEN OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. THIS FAILURE PROBABLY BEGAN SEVERAL MONTHS AGO, BUT THE VEHICLE WAS ALREADY LEAKING OIL FROM THE UPPER OIL PAN (THE ALUMINUM SHROUD AROUND THE CRANK). ONCE THE UPPER OIL PAN LEAK WAS FIXED, THE PS PRESSURE HOSE LEAK BECAME MORE EVIDENT. APPARENTLY, THIS PROBLEM HAS GOTTEN WORSE JUST RECENTLY, BECAUSE I ADDED SOME FLUID TO THE PS RESERVOIR WHEN I FIXED THE UPPER OIL PAN, AND MUCH OF THIS REPLACED FLUID DRAINED OUT WITHIN THE FOLLOWING 10 DAYS. CERTAINLY NOT WHAT I'D CALL A SAFE SITUATION, AND FROM READING THE ONLINE FORUMS ON NISSAN MURANO'S, IT APPEARS THIS IS A COMMON SITUATION. *TR
ALL OF THE DOOR LOCKS DO NOT WORK. I HAVE HAD MY MURANO IN THE SHOP 3 TIMES AND THEY CANNOT FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM. I HAVE NOW SPENT CLOSE TO $1000 AND THE PROBLEM IS STILL NOT FIXED! THEY FIRST REPLACED A SWITCH IN THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR. THAT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY THEN REPLACED THE BCM, THE LOCKS WORKED FOR ABOUT A WEEK AND NOW THEY ARE NOT FUNCTIONING AGAIN. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE I AM A SINGLE WOMAN AND SHOULD BE ABLE TO LOCK AND UNLOCK MY DOORS AS NEEDED. HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE TO FILE A COMPLAINT FOR THE SAME ISSUE BEFORE NISSAN DOES SOMETHING ABOUT IT??? IT IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS THAT I SHOULD HAVE TO SPEND ALMOST $1000 AND STILL NOT HAVE FUNCTIONING DOOR LOCKS!!! I KNOW FOR A FACT THE PROBLEM IS NOT THE SOLENOIDS IN THE DOORS THAT CONTROL THE LOCKS BECAUSE MY REPAIR SHOP TESTED EACH ONE IN EACH DOOR AND THEY ARE PROPERLY FUNCTIONING, WHICH IS WHAT LED US TO CHECK THE BCM. WHEN IT WAS DETERMINED THE BCM WAS BAD, I HAD THAT REPLACED BUT OBVIOUSLY THAT IS NOT THE ONLY PROBLEM. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS ISSUE!!! *TR
THE DRIVER SEAT IS MOVING LEFT WHEN TURNING LEFT, AND WHEN MOVING THE SEAT FORWARD, ONLY THE LEFT SIDE IS MOVING CAUSING THE SEAT TO TILT LEFT. WHEN CHECK AT THE DEALER SHOP, IT APPEAR THE LINK IS BROKEN AND THE RIGHT SIDE MOTOR IS DEFECTIVE. THE DEALER ADMIT THAT THE PROBLEM OCCUR IN MANY MURANO 2003-2005,BUT SAD THAT MY EXTENDED WARRANTY EXPIRED . PLEASE INVESTIGATE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM IN THE NISSAN MURANO 2003-2004. IT DID HAPPEN IN MANY OF THEM. *TR
MY 2004 NISSAN MURANO HAS BEEN LEAKING TRANSMISSION FLUID DUE TO A LEAK IN THE TRANSFER HOUSING CASE AND IS PUTTING OUT AN ERROR CODE P0868. IT NOW SPEEDS UP - SLOWS DOWN - REV'S UP OVER 5,000 RPMS WHILE NOT HAVING ANY POWER TO PULL. I HAVE SPOKEN TO NISSAN REPS AT 3 DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS AND TOLD THEM I SMELL SMOKE/BURNING OIL COMING FROM THE ENGINE. NONE OF THEM WOULD ACKNOWLEDGE ANYTHING. I RECENTLY TOOK IT TO THE 4TH DEALERSHIP AND DECIDED TO SPEND THE $75 TO HAVE IT INSPECTED AND THEY AGREED THAT IT WAS LEAKING AND HAS NO PRESSURE AND TOLD ME THAT IT WAS A DESIGN FLAW BUT THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THE SERVICE MANAGER TOOK ME OVER AND SHOWED ME A BRAND NEW 2011 THAT HAD THE SAME ISSUE AND THEY WERE PUTTING IN A NEW TRANSMISSION DUE TO THE SAME ISSUE. UNFORTUNATELY MY WARRANTY HAS NOW RUN OUT AND THEY WANT OVER $7000 TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION - BUT THEY WON'T FIX THE LEAK UNLESS I REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION AS THEY SAY THEY DON'T WANT ME TO COME BACK UPSET. WELL I'M UPSET BECAUSE I'VE READ OVER 100+ POST WITH THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM AND I JUST KNOW THIS THING IS GONNA LOCK UP OR SPEED UP RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC AND IT SHOULD BE NISSAN'S RESPONSIBILITY TO ADMIT THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH THE DESIGN OF THE '03 AND '04 TRANSMISSION/TRANSFER CASE AND STEP UP AND FIX THE ISSUE. *TR

THIS TYPE OF FAILURE IS EXTREMELY COMMON WITH NISSAN VEHICLES UTILIZING THE VQ ENGINE AND TYPICALLY RESULTS IN BACKFLOW OF CATALYST MATERIAL INTO THE ENGINE WHICH IN TURN CAUSES CATASTROPHIC FAILURE TO THE PISTONS AND PISTON RINGS.
