TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN MURANO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO RECEIVE AN UNKNOWN REPAIR, AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE THERE WAS SEVERE CORROSION TO THE SUBFRAME OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT DUE TO THE FAILURE, THE REAR WHEELS WERE TURNED INWARD. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SAFE TO BE DRIVEN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. AN UNKNOWN DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 168,000.
RUSTED SUB FRAME STATIONARY I NOTICE IT WHEN REPLACING REAR TIRES. *TR
WHILE OPERATING MY VEHICLE ON 6/27/2020 AFTER 1HR OF DRIVING THE CAR STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT TURN ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. I HAD TO STOP THE CAR PUT IN IT PARK, TURN THE CAR OFF AND THEN BACK ON. WHEN I TRIED TO TURN THE CAR ON AND IT HESITATED THEN TURN OVER. I THEN PROCEEDED TO TURN THE CORNER AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THIS IS THE 2ND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED AND WHEN I TOOK CAR TO CAR SHOP. THE CODE WAS P0340, CAM SHAFT POSITION. I REPLACE THE CAM SHAFT AFTER THIS HAPPENED THE FIRST TIME. NOW THIS HAS HAPPENED AGAIN, ALMOST CAUSING ME TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT.
I WAS BACKING UP AND I HEARD A LOUD THUMP SOUND MY CAR STOPPED FOR A MINUTE AND I TOOK IT IMMEDIATELY TO MY MECHANIC HE PUT IT ON THE LIFT AND TOLD ME THAT MY REAR CRATER SUB PLATE HAD CRACKED THAT HOLDS MY WHEELS TOGETHER ON BOTH SIDES CRACKED AND AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET A COUPLE PEOPLE BLEW THE HORN AT ME AND TOLD ME THAT MY WHEELS WERE TILTED TOWARDS THE INSIDE OF MY CAR AND THAT MY OUT OF WHEELS WAS OFF THE GROUND I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN NISSAN BECAUSE THIS IS LIKE MY SECOND NISSAN THAT I OWN IN I HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE SUBFRAME . IT APPEARS THAT THEY ARE USING VERY CHEAP METAL FOR THIS SUBFRAME THE SAD THING ABOUT IT I LIVE PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK I DON'T HAVE MONEY TO BUY A NEW CAR OR MONEY TO EVEN FIX THIS FRAME IS VERY SAD THAT THE CONSUMERS AT A. OF TIME HAVE TO BE STUCK WITH THIS TYPE OF REPAIR THIS CAR IS ONLY 13 YEARS OLD IS NO WAY THIS METAL SHOULDN'T TRUST LIKE THIS I AM CALLING NISSAN OUT TO TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THE FRAMES THAT THEY ARE PUTTING ON THEIR CARS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN MURANO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE DEATH WOBBLE. THE CONTACT PARKED THE VEHICLE ON THE SIDE OF THE ROADWAY. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WAS CONTACTED AND AN UNKNOWN REPAIR WAS PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT THEN DROVE THE VEHICLE TO HIS RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND BECAME AWARE THAT THE SUBFRAME WAS CORRODED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BILL KAY NISSAN LOCATED AT 1601 OGDEN AVE, DOWNERS GROVE, IL 60515, (866) 496-3333, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE REAR SUBFRAME NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 137,000.
WHILE DRIVING THE CAR WILL STALL AND NOT KEEP UP WITH THE SPEED I AM DOING . WHILE ENTERING THE HIGHWAY I NEED TO ACCELERATE AND INCREASE SPEED THE VEHICLE WILL APPEAR TO BE AT THE SPEED VIA THE SPEEDOMETER BUT IT WILL LAG AND SHUTTER AND PAUSE, CAUSING CARS TO HAVE TO SLAM ON BREAKS OR QUICKLY MOVE TO ANOTHER LANE BECAUSE MY VEHICLE CANNOT KEEP UP WITH THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC. IT IS NOT SAFE ON HIGHWAY OR ON STREET. I'VE HAVE KEPT UP WITH REGULAR TUNE UPS, OILS CHANGES AND NEW TIRES . RECENTLY GOT A TUNE UP AND THE ISSUE STILL PERSIST . VERY SCARY. *TR
MY MURANO HAS BEEN STALLING TO PICK UP SPEED HAVE REPLACED OVER $1500 IN PARTS. BUT STILL CANT LOCATE THE PROBLEM, AT THE MECHANIC SHOP THEY SAID IT COULD BE THE SOLENOID SENSOR BUT THEY DONT KNOW IF IT COULD BE IT.WHEN DRIVING ON HIGHWAY SOMETIMES IT WILL NOT PICK UP SPEED AND WILL ONLY DRIVE 30 TO 40 MPH. OTHER TIMES WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY IT WILL STAY AT 60MPH AND WILL NOT GO OVER. THE ENGINE LOOKS A BIT SHIFTED AS WELL I DON'T KNOW WHAT COULD HAVE CAUSED IT. AND IT MAKES A REALLY UGLY LOUD SQUICK THAT WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIX BUT DON'T KNOW IF IT COULD BE BECAUSE OF ENGINE SHIFT.NO ACCIDENTS ISSUE HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR MORE THAN 3 MONTHS.
AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON. TOOK IT TO AUTO SHOP AND THEY ARE STATING THE AIR BAG MODULE IS BAD AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACE. THE CAR HAVE NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT SO WHY WOULD IT NEED TO BE REPLACE?
MY INTAKE HOSE KEEPS COMING OFF THE RESONATOR, LIKE COMPLETELY. MY CAR WILL LOSE POWER IMMEDIATELY WHETHER I'M DRIVING ON A HWY AT 70 MPH OR STOPPED AT A LIGHT. I LOSE POWER STEERING AND ITS DIFFICULT FOR ME TO PRESS DOWN ON THE BREAKS. I'M VERY LUCK I WAS IN THE POSITION TO BE ABLE TO PULL OFF THE HWY SAFELY. I HAVE TO TIGHTEN THE BRACKET TIGHT ENOUGH TO MAKE IT HOME. A LOT OF TIMES I'M UNABLE TO TIGHTEN IT GOOD ENOUGH AND IT WILL COME OFF AGAIN. MOST RECENT INCIDENT HAPPENED ON 3/2/2020 AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR THE BETTER PART OF A YEAR AND A HALF. VERY SCARY TO GO THROUGH.
THE CAR CONTINUOUSLY CUTS OFF THE BRAKE LIGHT AND BATTERY LIGHT ARE ON WE HAVE REPLACED ALTERNATOR TWICE, ONCE REMANUFACTURED SECOND TIME BRAND NEW. ALSO REPLACED WITH BATTERY THATS WHEN THE LIGHTS CAME ON BEFORE THAT IT WOULD OCCASIONALLY HAVE A HARD TIME STARTING.
THE VEHICLE SHUTS OFF WITHOUT WARNING. IT HAPPENS EVERY DAY AND SOMETIMES IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC!
A certified mechanic inspected my vehicle for a routine check up and noticed that part of my rear subframe was completely rusted out. He refused to install new rear tires on my vehicle due to a safety concern of the rear subframe collapsing on the mechanic. I was told not to drive the nissan murano due to the rear subframe completely detaching from the vehicle. My Murano fishtails when i go over bumps or traveling on the highway and my tires are caving inward. My certified mechanic mentioned that this is a common problem with 1st generation nissan murano models. Why has this not been recalled yet? Does someone have to get killed or seriously wounded in a car accident before a recall has taken place. I challenge NHTSA to investigate these incidents because I know I'm not alone and get justice for Nissan actions. I have spent over $10,000 in repairs for this vehicle and it has been nothing but headaches. I hate to see a love one lose there life over something that can be prevented by notify the public since nissan refuses to take responsibility. Please act know.
WAS DRIVING 50KM/H WITH MY GRANDSON IN THE CAR ON A SIDE STREET WHEN WE HEARD A LOUD BANG AND THEN SOMETHING DRAGGING ON THE GROUND, I PULLED OVER AND GOT OUT TO FIND THE CONTROL ARM HAD BROKEN THE SUBFRAME AND HIT THE GROUND. THANKFULLY MY SELF AND MY GRANDSON WERE OK AND THE COMPRESSED SPRING FOR THE REAR SUSPENSION DID NOT COME OUT OF ITS HOLDER.
FROM TIME TO TIME THE VEHICLE UNEXPECTEDLY STALLS. ENGINE DOES NOT DIE BUT POWER TO TRANSMISSION IS LOST. VEHICLE WILL NOT REV UNLESS IT IS PUT INTO PARK OR NEUTERAL. WHEN TRANSMISSION IS ENGAGED STEPPING ON THE ACCELERATOR PRODUCES NO RPMS. VEHICLE COSTS TO SIDE OF ROAD AND PROBLEM IS SOMETIMES REMIDIED WITH SHUTTING OFF THE ENGINE AND RESTARTING OTHER TIMES I HAVE HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO A REPAIR SHOP WHERE I HAVE BEEN TOLD THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE IT MAY RANDOMLY STALL CAUSING THE MOTOR TO SHUT DOWN WHILE THE CAR IS IN USE MAKING IT VERY UNSAFE. ALSO RANDOM OVER HEATING AND STALLING I'VE CHANGED BOTH CAMSHAFT SENSORS AND THE CRANKSHAFT SENSOR ALSO THE RADIATOR AND THE THERMOSTAT NOTHING FIXES IT. THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY VEHICLE BUT I NEED TO BE PUT ON THE LIST I WAS LEFT OUT.
RECENTLY MY WIFE HAD BEEN INFORMING ME OF A PROBLEM ON OUR 2007 NISSAN MURANO WAS UNSTABLE WHEN BEING DRIVEN, AND MAKES LOUD CLUNKING NOISES WHEN TURNING AND REVERSING AT LOW SPEED. I DROVE THE SUV MYSELF ON DECEMBER 2ND, AND WHILE TURNING A CORNER AT A MAJOR INTERSECTION IT WENT OVER A SMALL BUMP OR MANHOLE COVER. AT THAT TIME THE REAR END OF THE CAR FISHTAILED, AND I NEARLY LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE REST OF THE DRIVE HOME THE VEHICLE FELT UNSTABLE WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH ON A DRY, SMOOTH, AND STRAIGHT ROAD. UPON ARRIVING HOME, ABOUT 1 MILE FROM WHERE THE INCIDENT HAPPENED I NOTICED THE DRIVER SIDE REAR WHEEL WAS CAMBERED INWARDS ABOUT 10-15 DEGREES. I CONTACTED MY MECHANIC BY PHONE, AND HE TOLD ME TO NOT DRIVE THE CAR AND HAVE IT TOWED TO HIS INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP FOR AN INSPECTION. WHEN HE LIFTED THE VEHICLE OFF THE GROUND HE DISCOVERED THE PROBLEM. HE SENT ME THE ATTACHED PICTURE, AND SAID THE VEHICLE'S SUBFRAME HAS 'EXTREME' RUST WHICH IS UNUSUAL FOR ONLY BEING 12 YEARS OLD, AND THAT IT IS 'NOT SAFE TO DRIVE'. ADDITIONALLY I HAVE READ MANY ARTICLES OF OTHER NISSAN VEHICLES HAVING PROBLEMS WITH CORROSION UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE FOR STATES THAT USE ROAD SALT IN THE WINTER. CURRENTLY THERE IS A REPAIR CAMPAIGN GOING ON WITH NISSAN ALTIMA CORROSION ISSUES, AND I AM CONCERNED MANY OTHER MURANO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AS MINE. I HAVE ALSO CONTACTED NISSAN, AND OPENED A SAFETY CONCERN WITH THEM. THE REFERENCE NUMBER IS 38078953 NISSAN SAYS THERE ARE NO RECALLS OR CAMPAIGNS WITH THIS 2007 NISSAN MURANO FOR CORROSION.

ALSO, CONDENSATION AND WATER WAS PRESENT INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED HOWEVER, NO ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
I RECENTLY PURCHASED THIS CAR USED. AFTER DRIVING IT FOR A LITTLE WHILE, THE CAR STARTED SHAKING EVERY TIME I WOULD TRY TO ACCELERATE, BUT WOULD GET SMOOTH ONCE I GOT UP TO SPEED. AFTER A FEW STOP AND GO, THE CAR DECIDED TO GO INTO LIMP MODE. I MANAGED TO GET THE CAR HOME SAFELY, BUT BARELY. NOW IT DRIVES SMOOTH FOR A FEW MINUTES AND THEN THE EXTREME SHAKING RETURNS. IT ONLY HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS IN DRIVE, AND STOPS AFTER I SHIFT IT OUT. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH ONLINE, I FOUND THAT THE TRANSMISSION IN THE 07 NISSAN MURANO IS NOTORIOUS FOR FAILING. NISSAN ACTUALLY EXTENDED THE WARRANTY TO 10 YEARS/ 120,000 MILES. BUT IF YOU CANNOT GET IT FIXED WITHIN THAT TIME YOUR STUCK, BECAUSE THEY ARE SO BAD NO TRANSMISSION SHOP WOULD WORK ON THEM. EVERY FORUM RELATED TO MURANOS JUST RANTS ABOUT HOW BAD THE TRANSMISSION IS. NISSAN SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PUTTING FAULTY TRANSMISSIONS IN SO MANY VEHICLES, I AM SCARED TO IMAGINE WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF IT FAILED ON THE HIGHWAY WHILE AT SPEED.
THIS YEAR THIRD NISSAN MURANO, I HAVE SEEN 3 SUB FRAME AND WHERE BOLTED RUSTED AND THIS VEHICLE HORRIBLE IS UNSAFE TO BE ON THE ROAD BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM WILL EFFECT DRIVING CONDITION WILL MAKE VEHICLE LOSE CONTROLL EVEN FLIP IT.
I HAVE A 2007 NISSAN MURANO SE, GARAGE KEPT IN SOUTHERN PA. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN THE REAR FRAME OF THE VEHICLE RUSTED COMPLETELY THROUGH RESULTING IN A LIFE THREATENING CONDITION. THE CAR IS NOT DERIVABLE, WAS TOWED TO A MECHANIC WHO INFORMED US THAT THE REPAIR ESTIMATE WOULD BE OVER $3,000. I SEE MANY SUCH REPORTS BUT CAN FIND NO EVIDENCE OF A RECALL BY NISSAN.

MY FAMILY HAS OWNED A 2007 NISSAN MURANO FOR NEARLY 8 YEARS. IN THE LAST YEAR, MY WIFE HAS EXPERIENCED EXTREME TRAUMA AS SHE HAS HAD THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY DIE ON HER WHILE IN THE MIDDLE OF FREEWAYS, HIGHWAYS, AND RESIDENTIAL ROADS. WE HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE TAKEN IN AND INSPECTED BY MULTIPLE NISSAN DEALERSHIPS AND EACH VISIT HAS ONLY RESULTED IN THEIR RECOMMENDATION OF ROUTINE MAINTENANCE BEING SUGGESTED, SUCH AS TRANSMISSION FLUID EXCHANGE, BRAKE REPAIR, OR BATTERY REPLACEMENT. OUR MURANO HAS RECENTLY DECIDED TO REPEAT THESE SAME ISSUES AFTER OVER A YEAR OF NORMAL FUNCTION. MY WIFE WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE NORMALLY AND ALL OF A SUDDEN SHE BEGAN TO LOSE POWER UNTIL THE CAR CAME TO A STOP AND THE FUNCTION OF THE VEHICLE STOPPED DUE TO WHAT APPEARED TO BE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. AFTER ASSESSING THE ISSUE, I ATTEMPTED TO JUMP START THE VEHICLE WITH JUMPER CABLES, WHICH ALLOWED THE MURANO TO START, BUT ONCE IT WAS INDEPENDENTLY IDLING, IT WOULD AGAIN LOSE POWER AFTER AN ATTEMPT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. I AM HEAVILY CONCERNED FOR THE WELFARE OF MY WIFE AND DAUGHTER AS THEY DRIVE THIS CAR DAILY. THE NISSAN DEALERSHIPS THAT I TYPICALLY RELY ON FOR THESE CRITICAL REPAIRS HAVE BEEN NO HELP AND I AM AT A LOSS FOR WHY THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH SUCH A LONG TIME FRAME BETWEEN ISSUES. I HOPE THAT NISSAN WILL ISSUE A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM AND RECTIFY ANY PRIOR REPAIRS THAT HAVE BEEN SUGGESTED AS A RESOLUTION TO THE ISSUE THAT MAY VERY WELL HAVE NOT RESOLVED THE TRUE ISSUE AT HAND. I AM IN DIRE NEED OF ANSWERS AS TO WHY A WELL MAINTAINED VEHICLE WOULD BE FINE ONE MINUTE AND THEN COMPLETELY INOPERABLE THE NEXT. THE VEHICLE HAS HAD MANY COMPONENTS REPLACED AND MAINTAINED TO PROLONG THE LIFE OF THE VEHICLE AND WITH 180K MILES HAS THE POTENTIAL TO CONTINUE FOR MANY MORE. TRAVELING EAST ON HIGHWAY 287 THROUGH TOWN MY CAR LOST ALL POWER SO I COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD IN THE MIDDLE OF HEAVY TRAFFIC. THE CAR WAS STILL RUNNING BUT WOULD NOT ACCELERATE WHILE IN GEAR ALTHOUGH IT WOULD IN PARK OR NEUTRAL. EVENTUALLY IT WOULD QUIT AND ONLY START WITH A JUMP THEN RUN FOR A LITTLE WHILE. THE NEXT DAY I WENT TO GO PICK UP MY CAR ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD HAVING SOMEBODY GIVE ME A JUMP AND THEN IT WOULDN'T START AT ALL. SO THEN I WENT AND GOT A NEW BATTERY AND IT RAN FOR AS LONG AS IT TOOK TO RUN THAT BATTERY DOWN. I REPLACED ALTERNATOR A YEAR AGO WHEN I WAS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I'M STUCK I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. DOES ANYBODY HAVE A SOLUTION?

I'M CONCERNED ABOUT THE VEHICLE'S SAFETY DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE ENGINES STOPS WHILE DRIVING ON THE ROAD. NO WARNING LIGHTS OR ANYTHING INDICATING A PROBLEM.
BOUGHT THE CAR 5 MONTHS AGO. WAS DRIVING AWESOME. BRAND NEW TIRES! IF I WOULD HAVE HIT ONE SMALL BUMP ON THAT HIGHWAY I WOULDN'T BE HERE TO FILE THIS COMPLAINT. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE TO NISSAN! THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED!!! AND MADE SURE ALL VEHICLES ARE SAFE FOR ANYONE TO BE IN. MY VEHICLE IS 12 YEARS OLD NO WAY SHOULD THAT FRAME EVEN BE ABLE TO SNAP NOT IN ONE BUT TWO SPOTS ON THIS VEHICLE. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED. I MY CAR OVERHEATING WAS A BLESSING BECAUSE THAT COULD HAVE BEEN DEADLY. THIS WILL BE BROUGHT TO BIGGER ATTENTION BECAUSE ALL NISSAN OWNERS NEED TO BE AWARE AND THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED !!!!!!
WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO GET A LITTLE SHAKY. WHEN STOPPED AND LOOKS, NOTICE THAT THE BACK WHEELS WE'RE NOT STRAIGHT. TOOK TO A MECHANIC AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE LOWER FRAME WAS RUSTE AND FALLING TO PIECES.. RUST WAS NOT NOTICED ON ANY OTHER PART OF THE VEHICLE. CAR WAS DEEMED UNSAFE BY THE MECHANIC.
MY MURANO SUDDENLY SHUTS OFF W/O WARNING IF I AM STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT ETC. ALL THE LIGHTS COME ON BY THEMSELVES (INTERIOR LIGHTS/EXTERIOR LIGHTS/HEADLAMPS) AND THE ONLY WAY TO SHUT THEM OFF IS TO REMOVE THE BATTERY TERMINALS FROM THEIR POSTS. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AND THE CAR IS PARKED AND THE ENGINE IS OFF. THERE IS A HIGH-PITCHED RINGING SOUND WHENEVER THE FRONT DRIVERS DOOR IS UNLOCKED. WHILE I'M DRIVING AND THE FOB IS IN MY POCKET, AN ALARM BEGINS TO SOUND AND ALERTS THAT THE KEY-FOB IS NOT INSIDE THE VEHICLE; I MUST STOP, SHUT OFF THE ENGINE, REMOVE THE ACTUAL KEY FROM THE FOB AND INSERT IT INTO THE IGNITION AND RESTART THE VEHICLE (BATTERY IN THE KEY-FOB HAS BEEN CHANGED SEVERAL TIMES AND THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS). THE VEHICLE BATTERY HAS ALSO BEEN REPLACED.
WE HAVE HAD TROUBLE MULTIPLE TIMES WITH THE REAR HATCH NOT OPENING ELECTRICALLY (THE ONLY WAY TO OPEN IT).WE HAVE HAD TROUBLES WITH THE DOOR LOCKS EITHER NOT LOCKING OR JUST SOME LOCKING AT THIS MOMENT NEITHER KEY BOB WILL LOCK OR UNLOCK THEM.

WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE SERVICED, THE TECHNICIAN NOTICED THAT THE REAR SUBFRAME WAS CORRODED THROUGH AND THE SWAY BAR WAS DETACHED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE CONTACT CALLED WRIGHT NISSAN (10520 PERRY HWY, WEXFORD, PA 15090, (724) 799-2698) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 39,000. *PM*JB
THE CAR FELT LIKE IT WAS FLOATING. TOOK IT TO AN INDEPENDENT SHOP, WHERE THEY INFORMED ME THE REAR SUBFRAME IS COMPLETELY RUSTED OUT. THE VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE.
CAR WAS TAKEN FOR INSPECTION AND THE REAR SUBFRAME WAS RUSTED AND SEVERELY DAMAGED. MECHANIC REPORTED THAT CAR WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE VEHICLE HAS NO BODY DAMAGE AND WAS NEVER IN AN ACCIDENT TO MY KNOWLEDGE.
DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND ALL OF A SUDDEN STARTED SOUNDING LIKE SOMETHING WAS BINDING. WHEN I GOT A CHANCE TO LOOK UNDER THE VEHICLE, I CAN CLEARLY SEE THAT THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL HAS SHATTERED, BROKEN COMPLETELY APART AND CAN SEE THE GEARS INSIDE. I GOOGLED 07 MURANO REAR DIFFERENTIAL AND THE EXACT SAME THING KEEPS COMING UP. THE CURRENT REAR DIFFERENTIAL LOOKS TO HAVE A YELLOW GREASE MARK ON IT. INDICATES TO ME THE PART HAS BEEN REPLACED BEFORE AND THE REPLACEMENT DID THE SAME THING.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT NO OTHER PART OF THE VEHICLE WAS RUSTED. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED NOT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 144,000. THE CONSUMER STATED THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY; THEREFORE, NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. *JS *BF *TR
REAR SUB FRAME RUSTED AND CAR COLLAPSING. DEALERSHIP AND CARMAKER DON'T CARE
VEHICLE SPORADICALLY STALLS UPON ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. OPERATOR MUST APPLY MORE PRESSURE TO THE GAS PEDAL THAN NECESSARY TO ENTER TRAFFIC BECAUSE IT WILL NOT RESPOND FAST ENOUGH TO UNCOMING TRAFFIC.
POWER STEERING HIGH PRESSURE HOSE AND PUMP LEAKAGE. THERE HAS BEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FOR THE 2006 AND 2007 MODELS. THERE IS LEAKAGE AND RUBBING NOISE WHEN TURNING THE STEERING.
I WAS DRIVING AND RANDOMLY LOST POWER. NO POWERSTEERING, NO ACCELERATION, NO BRAKES, ALL OF THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH TURNED ON LIKE THE ENGINE SHUT OFF, AND THE KEY WAS TURNED BACK TO ELECTRICAL (WHILE IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING, I'M 100% SURE THE CAR TURNED OFF WITHOUT THE IGNITION KEY SWITCHING TO OFF). THIS HAS HAPPENED ABOUT 5 TIMES NOW. THE CODE P0345 ACTIVATED SHORTLY AFTER THE SECOND TIME IT HAPPENED. IT HAS HAPPENED WHEN DECELERATING/BRAKING, ACCELERATING, AND COASTING, LOW AND HIGH SPEEDS. I KNOW THERE ARE OTHER REPORTS OF THIS WITH MURANOS ON THE INTERNET AND APPARENTLY HAPPENS TO A FEW OTHER NISSANS. THIS STARTED IN EARLY JUNE, WHEN THE TEMPERATURES ARE ABOVE MID 80'S.
MY NISSAN STARTS TO JERK FROM FIRST GEAR OR WHEN I SLOW DOWN AND START TO ACCELERATE IT MAKES A HARD JERK LIKE DOWNSHIFTING ON A MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND RELEASING CLUTCH TOO FAST. I RESEARCH AND THERE ARE A LOT OF PUBLIC FORUMS ON THIS ISSUE ON SENSORS GOING BAD TO CVT FLUID CHANGE TO TRANSMISSION ISSUES. I TOOK TO MY MECHANIC AND THEY TOOK IT APART COMPLETELY SAID HAD TO REPLACE THE TORQUE CONVERTER. SO THIS WILL BE A $1000 REPAIR AND I HOPE THIS WILL RESOLVE THE ISSUE.
MY CAR IS TOTALLY JUST CRAP! I'VE REPLACED COIL PACKS, ALTERNATOR, MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR, BATTERY, HUB ASSEMBLIES, CATALIC CONVERTER, AND A LOT MORE AND IT STILL HAS MAJOR PROBLEMS! I BELIEVE IT HAS ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS BECAUSE MY RADIO GETS A LOUD STATIC. IT SEEMS LIKE IT HAS A HARD TIME ACCELERATING. THEN STARTS SHAKING REAL BAD AT ABOUT 20-40MPH, THEN DOES FINE ABOVE 60MPH???

I OWN A 2007 NISSAN MURANO SL AWD. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALER FOR ALMOST ALL OF THE SERVICE TO MY CAR. I TOOK THE CAR TO ANOTHER LOCAL MECHANIC TO VERIFY THE NEED FOR LOWER FRONT CONTROL ARMS. THE NISSAN DEALER QUOTED ~ $900 FOR THIS SERVICE. TO MY SURPRISE, MY 2ND MECHANIC; WHO I HAVE DONE BUSINESS WITH FOR YEARS, TELLS ME THAT I DON'T NEED CONTROL ARMS BUT A NEW SUB FRAME. THE REAR SUBFRAME ON THE MURANO IS COMPLETELY RUSTED. IT IS ALMOST TO THE POINT WHERE THE REAR AXLE CAN COLLAPSE. I DID A SEARCH AND DISCOVERED THERE ARE NUMEROUS NISSAN MURANO AND QUEST OWNERS THAT HAVE THIS PROBLEM. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. NISSAN HAS TO HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THIS. BUT WHAT REALLY BOTHERS ME THE MOST IS THAT MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALER DID NOT MENTION THIS TO ME. MY CAR HAS BEEN IN THAT SHOP DOZENS OF TIMES OVER THE YEARS. IT IS THERE FOR STATE INSPECTION EVERY YEAR............AND NO ONE NOTICED.

OUR SON WAS LEAVING LONG POND, HARWICH MA RECREATIONAL PARKING LOT AT A REGULAR DRIVING SPEED, THERE ARE POT HOLES IN THE PARKING LOT THERE BUT HE DID NOT GO OVER THEM ANY FASTER OR SLOWER THAN NORMAL. THE AIR BAGS WENT OFF A FEW SECONDS AFTER GOING THROUGH ONE OF THE POT HOLES BUT HE DID NOT GO THROUGH THE POT HOLE ANY FASTER OR SLOWER THAN HE HAS BEEN THROUGH THE PARKING LOT BEFORE.
I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE CAR SHUT DOWN ON ME. I TOOK IT TO 2 MECHANICS AND THEY BOTH SAID THE MOTOR SEIZED. THEY MENTIONED THAT THE CAR WAS BURNING OIL AFTER THE FACT. THERE WAS NO SIGNS ON MY DASHBOARD. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE ON THE CAR THAT I NOTICED WAS THE CAR HAD BEEN RUNNING A BIT SLUGGISH . I'VE REPLACED THE TIMING CHAIN AND FUEL PUMP. THE CAR ONLY HAS 96,600 MILES. THE MECHANIC CAN'T GIVE ME A STRAIGHT ANSWER JUST THAT THE MOTOR SEIZED .

MY CAR STALLS WHILE DRIVING WHEN THE AIR INTAKE COMES LOOSE. THIS IS HAPPENING CONSTANTLY. I HAVE NARROWLY ESCAPED 2 ACCIDENTS. THE CAR WAS IN MOTION BOTH TIMES. I NOW HAVE TO MAKE SURE THIS CONNECTION IS SECURE BY STOPPING EVERY FEW MILES OF DRIVING AND EACH TIME BEFORE I START OUT FOR THE DAY.
THE SUN VISOR FLOP DOWN AT RANDOM WHEN DRIVING, TAKING AWAY VISIBILITY. THIS IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE. I REMOVED THEM ONE DAY AFTER THIS ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. NOW, I HAVE TO DEAL WITH BLINDING LIGHT FROM THE SUN, NOT SURE WHICH IS WORSE.
