THE SUN VISOR HAS MADE A POPPING NOISE WHEN CLOSING IT FROM THE FIRST DAY I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. YESTERDAY THE SUN VISOR COMPLETELY BROKE AND NOW IT WILL NOT STAY UP IN THE CLOSED POSITION. THIS ISSUE IS CAUSING A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE IT OBSCURES MY VISION WHILE DRIVING.
THE STEPPER MOTOR KEEPS GOING WHEN YOUR DRIVING
AUG 2019 AT 61K MILES CVT TRANSMISSION WENT OUT. FOUGHT WITH NISSAN TO REPAIR OF WHICH THEY REPLACED. NOW, AUG 2020 AT 69K, CAR FEELS LIKE IT GOES OVER 'RUMBLE STRIPS' WHEN COMING OUT OF A TIGHT TURN (I.E. BACKING OUT OF DRIVEWAY OR PARKING SPOT). NISSAN NORTH CANNOT FIND OR FIX ISSUE. NO IDEA WHAT TO DO BUT FEEL SAFETY CAN BE COMPROMISED DUE TO VEHICLE HISTORY. INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DID STATE I HAVE A TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAK. HE IS FURTHER INVESTIGATING ISSUE BUT NO REPAIR HAS BEEN MADE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN MURANO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT DUE TO SEVERE BATTERY DISCHARGE, THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS NOT A MANUAL DOOR HANDLE INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE TO OPEN THE DOOR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED NOR INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000.
WHILE DRIVING AT A SAFE SPEED ON THE HIGHWAY (65 MPH) WITH NO OTHER CARS IN MY VICINITY MY SUNROOF EXPLODED FOR NO REASON AT ALL. THE WAS A LOUD BOOM AND THEN THE INTERIOR MATERIAL OF THE SUNROOF STARTED FLAPPING. SINCE IT WAS CLOSED AT THE TIME, I'M THANKFUL THAT THE INTERIOR MATERIAL CAUGHT THE MAJORITY OF THE GLASS WITH ONLY THE REMAINING OUTSKIRTS OF GLASS MAKING ITS WAY INTO THE CAR. THIS HAPPENED OUT OF THE BLUE FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THERE WERE NO OTHER CARS NEAR ME SO IT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN FROM A ROCK OR SOMETHING THAT WAS KICKED UP FROM ANOTHER VEHICLE. IT WAS A CLEAR, SUNNY DAY IN THE UPPER 60'S.
AN ELECTRICAL FAULT IN THE ALTERNATOR CAUSES THE CAR TO ENTER "FORCED IDLE", IMMEDIATELY LOSING ALL ACCELERATOR POWER. THERE IS NO INDICATOR WARNING.
THE SUN VISOR ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE (LEFT SIDE) NO LONGER STAYS IN THE UP POSITION. IT HANGS DOWN AND BLOCKS THE VIEW IF THE REARVIEW MIRROR AND BLOCKS THE VIEW IF STREET SIGNS AND STREET LIGHTS.
MY VEHICLE MAKES A SCREECHING NOISE EVERY TIME THE STEERING WHEEL IS ROTATED TO THE LEFT OR ANY MOVEMENT IS MADE LEFTWARD. THE NOISE IS ESPECIALLY PROMINENT AT MILD TO HIGH SPEEDS. IT DOES NOT NOISE WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL IS ROTATED TO THE RIGHT.
MY NISSAN MURANO'S CVT TRANSMISSION SUDDENLY FAILED WHILE DRIVING IN THE PASSING LANE ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 84. THIS PLACED ME AND MY PHYSICALLY DISABLED WIFE IN AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
I WAS DRIVING ON A 2-LANE HIGHWAY AT NIGHT, GOING 50-55 MPH WITH FEW CARS AROUND - NO OVERPASSES AT ALL IN THE AREA. I HEARD A SUDDEN REALLY LOUD NOISE AND IMMEDIATELY HEARD THE SOUND OF GLASS OPEN SOMEWHERE IN THE VEHICLE. I THOUGHT MY VEHICLE HAD BEEN SHOT AT! WHEN I WAS ABLE TO FIND A PLACE TO PULL OVER, I USED MY FLASHLIGHT TO CHECK ALL THE WINDOWS, WHICH WERE FINE...THEN REALIZED THE BROKEN GLASS WAS ON MY SUNROOF! IT WAS COMPLETELY SHATTERED, OUTWARDS. I LATER LEARNED THIS IS KNOWN AS "EXPLODING SUNROOF", AND THE MURANO IS THE 3RD MOST REPORTED VEHICLE THIS HAPPENS TO. NISSAN TAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY! THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL WITH THE PREPONDERANCE OF EPISODES, AND I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED IN NISSAN. THIS IS MY 6TH (AND NOW LAST) NISSAN. THERE WAS NOTHING, AS FAR AS TEMPERATURE, DRIVING CONDITIONS, OR TRAFFIC TO EXPLAIN WHY AND WHEN THIS HAPPENED. I AM NOW PARKED IN THE GARAGE, WAITING A FEW DAYS FOR A MOBILE SERVICE TO COME REPLACE THE GLASS, AND I'M NOT HAPPY! THE CLAIM ON MY INSURANCE WILL SURELY RAISE MY RATES.
DRIVING DOWN CITY STREET CAR LOSES POWER, , STILL RUNS BUT RUNS SLOW AS IF IT'S NOT GETTING GAS, APPARENTLY NISSAN'S ARE NOTORIUS FOR TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY FAILING...COST TO REPAIR $3800.00!! CAR NOT EVEN PAID OFF, NISSAN KNOWS AND KNEW THERE WERE PROBLEMS WITH TRANSMISSION
DRIVER SIDE SUN VISOR BROKEN FALLS DOWN WHILE DRIVING BLOCKS VISION THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD IT HAPPENS AT RANDOM I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY SAID IT IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY AND WOULD COST OVER $400.00 TO REPLACE MY MURANO HAS 35000 MILES ON IT
SUN VISOR WILL NOT STAY UP ON DRIVER'S SIDE.
DRIVERS VISOR BROKE AND POPPING NOISE COMES FROM THE DASH BOARD BY THE WINDSHIELD
WHEN DRIVING ON A LONG TRIP, WITH THE CRUISE-CONTROL SET, THE CAR SUDDENLY LURCHED AND LOST POWER. THE SPEED REDUCED AND IT CAME OUT OF CRUISE. I HAD JUST STARTED UP AN INCLINE, SO I DIDN'T KNOW IF THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. A SHORT TIME AFTER THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE TRANSMISSION STARTED TO HAVE ISSUES. IT WOULD NOT GO INTO OVERDRIVE AND WOULD OVER REV. WE WERE ABLE TO MAKE IT TO OUR DESTINATION AND WE TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC TO HAVE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CHECKED. THE MECHANIC SAID IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION AND THAT THEY COULD NOT REPAIR IT. WE CALLED A TRANSMISSION SHOP AND THEY SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT REPAIR IT EITHER. THEY HAD NOT HAD ANY TRAINING ON HOW TO REPAIR IT AND THAT THE TRANSMISSION WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THEY ALSO SAID THAT THEY HAD OTHER NISSAN MURANOS COME IN WITH THE SAME ISSUE. THIS COULD BE A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT COULD IF THIS HAPPENED ON A HIGHWAY WITH HEAVY TRAFFIC. WE MADE IT TO THE SECOND PART OF THE TRIP BUT WE HAD TO BABY THE CAR. THE CAR WOULD NOT MAKE IT HOME WITH THE CAR AND WE HAD TO HAVE IT SHIPPED BACK. I CHECKED AND THERE IS NOT A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE.
I HAVE HAD MY 2014 NISSAN MURANO SINCE NEW. IT HAS BEEN WELL TAKEN CARE OFF THE ENTIRE TIME, YET I CONTINUE TO HAVE ISSUES WITH THE DOOR LOCKS BREAKING. THE RESULT OF THIS BREAKING IS THE THE DOORS CANNOT BE ELECTRONICALLY UNLOCKED EVEN FROM THE INTERIOR UPON TRYING TO DO SO. THIS IS OF CONCERN AS IF THERE WAS EVER AN ACCIDENT IT WHICH I NEEDED TO BE RAPIDLY PULLED FROM MY VEHICLE, A RESCUER WOULD HAVE TO FORCE THEIR WAY IN DELAYING RESCUE. THE MOST RECENT INSTANCE OF THESE BREAKING (07/19/2019) IS THE 6TH OCCURRENCE OF THIS PART BREAKING. THE REPAIR HAS BEEN COMPLETED AT THE SAME DEALERSHIP EACH TIME (PINNACLE NISSAN, SCOTTSDALE AZ). IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THERE IS A DEFECT PART AT PLAY AND THAT NISSAN KNOWS ABOUT THIS AND CONTINUES TO PUT THESE DEFECTS PARTS IN VEHICLES ENDANGERING PEOPLES LIVES DURING A POTENTIAL RESCUE. I HAD REPORTED THIS DURING THE LAST INSTANCE WITH NO REPLY. I HOPE THIS MATTER IS REVIEWED AND A RESOLUTION MET BEFORE SOMEONE SUFFERS AS A RESULT OF THIS DEFECT.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE SUN VISOR WILL NOT STAY UP. IT HANGS IN THE DOWN POSITION AND OBSTRUCTS THE VIEW OF THE DRIVER. IT INITIALLY WOULD ONLY FALL DOWN WHEN THE VEHICLE HIT A BUMP IN THE ROADWAY.NOW THE VISOR WILL NOT STAY UP AT ALL AND IS CONSTANTLY BLOCKING THE DRIVER'S VIEW.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN MURANO. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE SUN ROOF EXPLODED WITHOUT WARNING. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. JIM KERAS NISSAN (2080 COVINGTON PIKE, MEMPHIS, TN 38128, (901) 373-2800) WAS CONTACTED TO SCHEDULE A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
THE DRIVER SIDE SUN VISOR WON'T STAY IN THE UP OR DOWN POSITION BUT RESTS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OBSTRUCTING MY VIEW OF THE ROAD.
POWER STEERING DOES NOT WORK AT LOW SPEEDS (PARALLEL PARKING, LOW SPEED TURNS, 3 POINT TURNS) IN BOTH FORWARD AND REVERSE. POWER STEERING "WHINES" WHILE ACCCELERATING FROM A COMPLETE STOP. VEHICLE HAD APPROXIMATELY 65,500 MILES ON IT WHEN IT STARTED. WAS TOLD BY THE NISSAN TECHNICIAN THAT DID A DIAGNOSTIC THAT IT IS EITHER THE POWER STEERING PUMP OR THE BRACKET.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN MURANO. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, THE POWER STEERING FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEERY BROTHER NISSAN OF DUBUQUE (LOCATED AT 600 CENTURY DR, DUBUQUE, IA 52002, (563) 582-7700) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS CURRENTLY BEING REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 34674283. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,200.
CAR WON'T START. TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP FOUR TIMES IN ONE MONTH AND CONTINUES TO HAVE ISSUES. ORIGINALLY TOLD IT WAS THE IPDM MODULE WHICH WAS REPLACED. ABOUT A WEEK AND HALF LATER THE ENGINE WOULDN'T START AGAIN BUT THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS, RADIO AND HEAT/AIR WOULDN'T SHUT OFF. WAS TOLD THIS TIME THAT IT WAS A FAULTY BATTERY WHICH WAS REPLACED. AFTER PICKING IT UP AND DRIVING LESS THAN 10 MILES AND SITTING FOR A FEW HOURS IT WOULDN'T START AGAIN. EVERY SINGLE LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD IS ON AND AGAIN THE ENGINE WON'T START OR CUT OFF THE LIGHTS. HAD IT TOWED BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND 4 DAYS LATER WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS DUE TO A RUSTY BOLT OF SOME SORT THAT WAS LOOSE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. 2 DAYS LATER IT WOULDN'T START AGAIN. A FEW HOURS LATER THE CAR STARTS BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. CAR WAS TOWED TO DEALERSHIP AGAIN AND IT HAS NOW BEEN FOUR DAYS WITH NO UPDATES FROM THE DEALERSHIP. ALSO - DRIVERS SIDE SUNVISOR IS BROKEN AND WON'T STAY UP WHICH IMPAIRS VISION. AFTER ALL OF THESE TRIPS TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY SAID IT WOULD COST OVER $200 TO FIX. I DIDN'T THINK MUCH OF IT UNTIL I REVIEWED AND NOTICED THAT MANY OTHER HAVE THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE SUN VISORS SO THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT.
TRAVELING AT 70-75 MPH ON HIGHWAY ROAD WHEN SUNROOF EXPLODED. SUNROOF WAS CLOSED BUT THE SHADE COVER WAS OPEN. GLASS POURED ALL INTO THE CAR ON TOP OF DRIVER AND PASSENGER.
DRIVER'S SIDE SUN VISOR WON'T STAY UP. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THE CAR IS MOVING OR STATIONARY. THIS IS DANGEROUS! THE VISOR OBSCURES VISIBILITY, AND YET WHEN I NEED IT, IT WON'T STAY IN THE POSITION I NEED IT TO, IN ORDER TO BLOCK SUN GLARE. THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM WITH MURANOS FOR OVER A DECADE, AND NISSAN HAS CONTINUOUSLY REFUSED TO ISSUE A RECALL.
TRANSMISSION SLIPPING AND DROPPING GEARS AT 30,000 MILES. I WANT TO MAKE A COMPLAINT SO THEY HAVE TO REPLACE THESE
DRIVING HOME ON HWY IN MOTION AND TRANSMISSION QUIT WORKING, HAD IT TOWED. IT WORKS FOR 5 MINUTES COLD, STOPS WHEN WARMED UP.
CVT TRANSMISSION. VEHICLE DECELERATES AND ACCELERATES WITHOUT WARNING (CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON). MAINLY AT STOP LIGHTS. IT IS SLOW TO START. WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE, VEHICLE STALLS, JUMPS, OR SLIPS WITH RPM ACCELERATING ABOVE 4 RPMX1000, WHILE SPEED REMAINS AT 10 MPH FOR 2-3 MINUTES. LOUD HUMMING NOISE WHEN VEHICLE IS TRYING TO ACCELERATE. VEHICLE MAKES NO NOISE IN THE MORNING. SYMPTOMS WORSEN WHEN VEHICLE OR OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE IS HOT (E.G. ABOVE 85 F). CANNOT DRIVE ABOVE 45 MPH OR ON HIGHWAY. VEHICLE IS ONLY 4 YEARS OLD WITH 112K MILES. HAS BEEN SERVICED ON-TIME BY DEALER. VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE, ESPECIALLY WHEN CROSSING INTERSECTIONS.
DRIVING MOUNTAIN TERRAIN ON HWY 87 NORTH IN THE DESERT HEAT NEAR PHOENIX THE VEHICLE LOST POWER AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY. WHEN TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP WE WERE TOLD THAT IT WAS SOMETHING THAT THEY SEE FREQUENTLY WHEN DRIVING LONG DISTANCES, UP MOUNTAINS OR IN EXTREME HEAT. ALSO TOLD BY NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS REP THAT SHE WAS WORKING ON SEVERAL SIMILAR CASES, BUT A RESOLVE IS MADE ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS. UPON DOING RESEARCH NISSAN HAS HAD MANY PROBLEMS WITH THE CVT TRANSMISSIONS. WE FEEL THAT THE TRANSMISSION NOT WORKING PROPERLY IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN, AS YOU CANNOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY IF NEED BE, DRIVING ON THESE MOUNTAIN TERRAINS IS DANGEROUS ENOUGH WHEN YOU CAN ACCELERATE PROPERLY. NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS HAS YET TO SAY WHETHER THEY CAN PROVIDE A RESOLUTION.
THE DRIVERS SIDE SUN VISOR WILL NOT REMAIN IN THE STOWED POSITION, AND IMPAIRS VISIBILITY PRESENTING A SAFETY ISSUE.
SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE ON CITY STREET IN KINGSPORT, TN. VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AT THE TIME OF STEERING LOSS. I WAS BARELY ABLE TO NAVIGATE VEHICLE OUT OF TRAFFIC TO SIDE OF THE ROAD AFTER POWER STEERING LOSS. PRIOR TO POWER STEERING GOING OUT VEHICLE WAS DRIVING NORMALLY.
CVT TRANSMISSION LOSS ACCELERATION AND LOW POWER MODE CITY DRIVING. FAULT LIGHT CAME UP ON DASH. OUR AUTO TECH DETERMINED IT'S THE TRANSMISSION
WAS DRIVING ON VACATION FROM CONNECTICUT TO SOUTH CAROLINA ON 8/3/18. JUST AS WE ARRIVED THERE, THE CAR BEGAN JERKING AT RANDOM TIMES WHILE DRIVING AND EVENTUALLY JUST SLOWED DOWN TO A CRAWL. WE MANAGED TO GET IT TO A LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND THEY INFORMED US THE TRANSMISSION FAILED (WE HAD 62K MILES ON THE CAR - 2K MILES PAST THE WARRANTY). THE DEALER TOLD US THAT IT LIKELY FAILED DUE TO THE HIGH TEMPERATURES THE TRANSMISSION EXPERIENCED FROM SUCH A LONG DRIVE. WE PAID TO HAVE IT REPLACED. THEN ON 7/26/19, THE CAR EXPERIENCED THE SAME THING AT 76,000 MILES. WHILE DRIVING, IT BEGAN TO NOT ACCELERATE CORRECTLY AND EVENTUALLY JUST STARTED TO CRAWL AT A SLOW PACE. WE MANAGED TO GET THE CAR OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TOOK IT TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP. THEY TOLD US THAT THE TRANSMISSION HAD FAILED.. THE REPLACEMENT TRANSMISSION WE PUT IN THE YEAR PRIOR CAME WITH A 1 YEAR/12K MILE WARRANTY. WHILE IT FAILED WITHIN A YEAR, WE WERE 2K MILES OVER THE WARRANTY LIMIT. WE ARE NOW PAYING TO HAVE IT REPLACED AGAIN. TWO FAILURES WITHING A YEAR PERIOD COSTING OVER 8500. I KNOW NISSAN HAS HAD CVT TRANSMISSION ISSUES WITH OTHER VEHICLES, I BELIEVE THERE IS ALSO A PROBLEM WITH THE ONES IN THE MURANO...

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO NISSAN OF LAKE CHARLES (337-439-9955, LOCATED AT 1700 SIEBARTH DR, LAKE CHARLES, LA 70615) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VISOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED TO COVER HALF OF THE REPAIR COST. THE FAILURE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 82,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.
SUN VISOR ON BOTH DRIVER N PASSANGER FAILS TO STAY UP. ONCE IN A WHILE THE VISOR JUST COMES DOWN. PUSH IT BACK UP, AND IT MAY GO UP HALFWAY, OR TO TOP WITH A LOUD BANG, THEN SAGS AGAIN. DANGEROUS WHEN YOU ARE IN TRAFFIC AND NOT SAFE WHEN IT HAPPENS! CLEARLY A PROBLEM WITH ALMOST ALL MURANO'S. CALLED NISSAN AND NO HELP BUT TO SELL NEW ONES. WE HAVE JUST 26500 MILES ON OUR MURANO.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE SUN VISOR DROOPS AND DOESN'T STAY IN THE STOWED POSITION. INSTEAD, IT FALLS WITHOUT WARNING AND OBSTRUCTS THE DRIVER'S VIEW WHICH IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT PLACES THE DRIVER, PASSENGERS AND OTHER MOTORISTS AT RISK. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUES WITH THE MURANO AND IS NOT ISOLATED TO THE 2014 MODEL YEAR. DO A SEARCH ON THE NHTSA WEBSITE FOR MURANO SUN VISOR AND YOU WILL SEE MORE THAN A DOZEN ISSUES REPORTED. AND THOSE ARE THE ISSUES THAT WERE REPORTED VIA THE NHTSA WEBSITE, IMAGINE HOW MANY ACTUALLY ARE OUT THERE UNREPORTED! THERE IS NO EXCUSE WHY NISSAN OR THE NHTSA HASN'T INVESTIGATED THIS FURTHER AND ISSUED A RECALL. LOOKING THE OTHER WAY REGARDING THIS MATTER IS NO LONGER AN OPTION, THE MANUFACTURER AND NHTSA NEED TO TAKE ACTION IMMEDIATELY. THE DEALER TYPICALLY WANTS >$400+ TO REPLACE THIS SUN VISOR AND MANY CONSUMERS HAVE HAD IT REPLACED ONLY TO NEED TO REPLACE IT AGAIN! I CHALLENGE NISSAN TO STEP UP AND DO THE RIGHT THING AND ISSUE A RECALL AND REPLACE THESE DOWNRIGHT DANGEROUS SUN VISORS BEFORE THERE IS A FATAL ACCIDENT AND LITIGATION. THE MURANO IS MARKETED AS AN UPMARKET PRODUCT AND IF THE TRIM INSIDE FALLS SHORT OF THAT IN TERMS OF QUALITY AND IS A FLAWED DESIGN THAT COULD POTENTIALLY RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT DUE TO OBSTRUCTED VIEW, THIS MUST BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY. WE WILL BE TAKING OUR VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO BE REPAIRED BUT DO NOT WISH TO PAY THE EGREGIOUS PRICE FOR A REPLACEMENT THAT WILL LIKELY FAIL AGAIN DUE TO A DESIGN DEFECT. AGAIN, I CALL ON NHTSA AND NISSAN TO TAKE ACTION AND ADDRESS THIS ISSUE IMMEDIATELY! NHTSA IS MANDATED TO PROTECT MOTORISTS AND HERE IS A CLEAR CASE WHERE THEY CAN STEP IN AND TAKE ACTION AND PREVENT HARM TO CONSUMERS.

DRIVER'S SIDE SUN VISOR WILL NOT STAY IN THE UP POSITION. VISOR FALLS RANDOMLY DURING DRIVE AND IMPAIRS VISIBILITY SUDDENLY. THIS SAME ISSUE WAS PRESENT ON THE 2007 MURANO I OWNED.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE, WITH NOTHING AROUND MY CAR AND NO OVERHEAD PASSES WHEN THERE WAS AN EXPLOSION, WHICH SOUNDED LIKE A GUN SHOT WITHIN THE CAR. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF THE ROAD AND FOUND MY SUN ROOF HAD EXPLODED. FORTUNATELY I DID NOT LOSE CONTROL OF THE CAR SO NO ONE WAS HURT BUT HAD THE SUN ROOF COVER NOT BEEN CLOSED THE OCCUPANTS WOULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY HURT.
SUN VISORS BREAK AND FALL DOWN. WILL NOT STAY UP AFFECTS VISION NO RECALL TALKED TO NISSAN DEALER THEY SAID THIS WAS A PROBLEM ACROSS THE BOARD BUT 200 FOR VISOR PLUS LABOR!. CAR UNDER WARRANTY BUT DOES NO COVER THIS. NISSAN NEEDS TO DO A RECALL TO FIX PROBLEM. I HAVE SEEN MANY OTHER OWNERS COMPLAINTS WITH NISSAN.

THE CONTACT STATED ON AUGUST 6, 2020 WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, WHEN HE HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE AND THE RPM ROSE RAPIDLY. THE CONTACT STATED THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED HE CONTINUED DRIVING TO A NEARBY GAS STATION. THE CONTACT STATED HE WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND WHEN HE SHIFTED TO REVERSE, THE RPM WAS NOT FUNCTIONING. THE CONTACT STATED HE THEN SHIFTED TO DRIVE AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO WORK PROPERLY. THE CONTACT STATED HE DROVE TO HIS RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT CALLED THE LOCAL DEALER NISSAN OF DEARBORN LOCATED AT 24501 MICHIGAN AVE, DEARBORN, MI 48124, (313) 749-3200, AND WERE MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN DIAGNOSED AND TRANSMISSION REPLACED WITH NEW ONE. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 85,000.*DT*JB

ON OCT 31,2017 I ATTEMPTED TO STOP MY MURANO ON MERCURY BLVD AND IT WOULD NOT STOP. I HIT THE BRAKES AGAIN AND IT WOULD NOT SLOW DOWN OR STOP, THEN TRIED ATTEMPTED AGAIN AND IT WOULD NOT SLOW DOWN OR STOP. IT RESULTED INTO ME HITTING ANOTHER CAR AND MY TRUCK IS A TOTAL LOST AT THIS POINT. MY INSURANCE COMPANY WILL TOTAL IT OUT. I SEE THERE ARE TWO OTHER COMPLAINTS ON THIS VERY SAME THING. THIS REALLY NEED TO BE LOOKED INTO.
EXPLOSION OF SUNROOF. AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY (I-10), I SUDDENLY HEARD A LOUD POPPING. FOR A MOMENT I WAS CONCERNED SOMETHING WAS THROWN OR SHOT AT THE VEHICLE. I THEN PULLED OVER AND ASSESSED THE VEHICLE AND SAW NEARLY THE ENTIRE INTERIOR PORTION OF THE SUNROOM WAS SHATTERED AND FALLEN ON THE SUNROOF COVER. THE SMALL PORTIONS OF THE EXTERIOR APPEARED TO BE PUSHED UPWARD (WHICH FURTHER CONFIRMED SOMETHING FROM THE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE DID NOT COME INTERIOR).
