THE HEATING SYSTEM DOESN'T WORK PROPERLY. THE ONLY TIME THAT THE HEATER WORKS IS WHEN THE CAR IS DRIVEN. WHEN THE CAR STOPS ONLY COOL AIR IS BLOWN INSIDE OF THE CAR. THE OTHER PROBLEM IS WITH THE LATCH/LOCK FOR THE BACK HATCH. IT NO LONGER WORKS SO I MUST MANUALLY LOCK THE BACK HATCH.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN PATHFINDER. WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS ACTIVATED, THE VEHICLE BARELY MOVED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS CROSS CONTAMINATION OF RADIATOR FLUID THAT LEAKED INTO THE TRANSMISSION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000.
I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE NEW IN 2007 AS OUR 2ND NEW NISSAN .OUR FIRST WAS A 2005 FRONTIER WITH NO PROBLEMS AND NOW THIS. I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. IT SLIPS WHEN ACCELLERATING AND SOMTIMES WONT DOWN SHIFT PROPERLY. SO DUE TO THE PROBLEM I DID A WEB SEARCH AND FOUND THIS CRACKED TRANSMISSION LINE ALLOWING COOLANT LEAK IN TO THE TRANSMISSION, SO I CHECKED THE RESEVOUR AND RADIATOR AND BOTH HAD ATF CONTAMINATION. I THEN CALLED THE NISSAN DEALER AND THEY CLAIMED TO HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I COULD BE TALKING ABOUT. THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FILED IN LATE 2012 STATED THAT ALL DEALERS WERE NOTIFIED. I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED AND NOW HAVE OVER 100,000 MILES ON MY PATHFINDER WHICH OPTS ME OUT OF ANYTHING. THIS IS REDICULOUS AND NISSAN NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE! THEY NEVER EVEN ADMITED THERE WAS A PROBLEM JUST OFFERED SOME EXTENDED WARRENTY COVERAGE ABSOLUTELY ABSURD! NOW IM STUCK WITH A VEHICLE I CANT EVEN DRIVE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN PATHFINDER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE RPMS INCREASED RAPIDLY AND THE ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. IN ADDITION, THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED AND FAILED TO SHIFT INTO THE REVERSE POSITION PROPERLY. THE FAILURE RECURRED TWO TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS AWAITING DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 144,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE WAS FRACTURED AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS REFUELED, THE FUEL WARNING LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE OVERHEATED AND THE ANTI-FREEZE HAD MIXED WITH THE TRANSMISSION FLUID CAUSING IT TO LEAK ONTO THE GROUND. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
THE TRANSMISSION ON MY 2007 NISSAN PATHFINDER STARTED SLIPPING SO I HAD IT LOOKED AT AND FOUND OUT THE COOLANT LEAKED INTO THE TRANSMISSION. I HAVE 118,000 MILES ON IT AND UNFORTUNATELY IT LOOKS LIKE I AM OUT OF LUCK. I AN VERY DISAPPOINTED IN NISSAN SINCE THEY KNOW THE FAILURE DOES NOT OCCUR UNTIL ABOUT 90,000 MILES.
AS I WAS ABOUT TO ENTER THE HIGHWAY MY VEHICLE LOST POWER, I WAS FORTUNATE TO BE ABLE TO GET OFF THE ON RAMP AND BACK TO THE FRONTAGE ROAD BEFORE MY CAR CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. TOOK TO A REPAIR STATION WHERE IT WAS FOUND THE RADIATOR FAILED AND ALLOWED FLUID TO MIX WITH THE TRANSMISSION FLUID. TRANSMISSION IS A COMPLETE LOSS, ALTHOUGH THE COST OF REPAIR ($5200) IS TROUBLING, THE FACT THAT MOMENTS LATER MY FAMILY AND I COULD HAVE BEEN INJURED OR CAUSED SOMEONE ELSE TO BE INJURED IS THE BIGGER ISSUE. I HAVE SEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS DEFECT AND FEEL THE NHTSA SHOULD TAKE A BETTER LOOK INTO MAKING THIS A SAFETY ISSUE. AT SOME POINT SOMEONE IS GOING TO DIE FROM THIS. NISSAN HAS MADE A VERY UN-REASONABLE ATTEMPT TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN PATHFINDER. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 30-35 MPH, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL NOISE AS THE VEHICLE MOVED UP AND DOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE BRAKES AND ROTORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
RADIATOR CRACKED AND WATER WENT INTO THE OIL AND IT MIXED....PER REP AND MECHANIC AT NISSAN DEALER. PROBLEM CAUSED BY RADIATIOR NOT BEING BUILT PROPERLY AT FABRIC. THIS PROBLEM CAUSED VEHICLE TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY WHILE DRIVING. VERY UNSAFE.
ON JULY 31, 2015 MY CAR JERKED AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. BY THE TIME I GOT IT TO THE SHOP (ABOUT 45 MIN LATER) IT WAS HAVING TROUBLE ACCELERATING FROM A STOP. WHEN I TURNED THE ENGINE OFF WE COULD NOT GET IT RESTARTED. THE SHOP SAID THE TRANSMISSION WAS NOT COMMUNICATING WITH THE COMPUTER. I HAD IT TOWED TO A TRANSMISSION SHOP AND MY CAR HAD THE SAME ISSUE AS OTHER NISSANS. THE COOLANT LEAKED INTO THE TRANSMISSION RESULTING IN THE COMPUTER SHORTING OUT. I NOW HAVE TO PAY $4,200 TO HAVE THE RADIATOR REPLACED, THE TRANSMISSION REBUILT AND THE ENGINE FLUSHED. IF NISSAN IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE THEN THEY SHOULD HAVE HAD A RECALL FOR THIS. FROM WHAT I AM READING ONLINE THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES WITH THIS ISSUE.
MY SUV WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A DEFECTIVE RADIATOR AND NOW HAS ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION COOLER PIPES SPLITTING CAUSING CROSS CONTAMINATION BETWEEN THE RADIATOR COOLANT & TRANSMISSION FLUID. WHICH RESULTED IN A FAILURE TO THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THE CROSS CONTAMINATION HAD TO HAVE A NEW TRANSMISSION, TRANSMISSION COOLER HOSES & RADIATOR REPLACED. READING MULTIPLE SITES IT APPEARS NISSAN KNOW ABOUT THE DEFECT AND DIDN'T WARN IS CUSTOMERS, EVEN WHEN I TOOK MY CAR TO GET SERVICED AT THE NISSAN DEALERS. THIS IS BAD BUSINESS AND CUSTOMERS SHOULD NOT BE FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE. I HOPE THE PERSON READING THIS HAS THE COURAGE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. IT APPEARS THAT CORPORATIONS HAVE THE POWER. TRANSMISSION FAILED DUE TO COOLANT LEAKING INTO TRANSMISSION. HAD MY WHOLE FAMILY WHEN TRANSMISSION GAVE OUT DON'T WANT TO IMAGE WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF I WAS GOING FASTER THAN 35 MPH. COST TO REPAIR $5800. DANGEROUSLY UNACCEPTABLE.
I WAS DRIVING MY 2007 PATHFINDER WITH MY 3 CHILDREN IN THE BACK WHEN THE TIRES SUDDENLY SEEMED TO BE SLIPPING. I WASN'T SURE WHAT WAS GOING ON UNTIL I WAS ON A BIG HILL AND CAR SUDDENLY WOULDN'T GO INTO GEAR. THE TRANSMISSION HAD BLOWN ON ME, ALMOST INSTANTANEOULSY WITH LITTLE TO NO WARNING SIGNS. THE CAR STARTED ROLLING BACKWARDS ON THE HILL AND LUCKILY NOBODY WAS BEHIND US. I HIT THE BREAKS AND STOPPED THE CAR. IT HAD TO BE TOWED AND I WAS STUNNED WHEN MY MECHANIC SAID THE TRANSMISSION WAS DEAD AND IT WOULD COST AROUND 3K TO FIX! "THERE WAS ONLY 85K MILES ON THE CAR AND THE TRANSMISSION JUST BLOWS LIKE THAT," I ASKED HIM? HE TOLD ME THAT THIS WAS A PROBLEM VERY COMMON WITH SOME NISSAN CARS. I IMMEDIATELY WENT ONLINE AND FOUND OUT THAT THIS IS KNOWN PROBLEM WITH NISSAN PATHFINDERS AND XTERRAS, DUE TO FAULT MANUFACTURING AND A LAWSUIT WAS BROUGHT UP AGAINST THEM (A FEW YEARS BEFORE THIS HAPPENED TO ME). I FEEL IT'S OUTRAGEOUS THAT THESE CARS CAN STILL BE SOLD BY THE DEALER (WE BOUGHT IT USED WITH 60K MILES ON IT) WITHOUT SOME SORT OF WARNING LABEL ON IT. THANK GOD MY KIDS DIDN'T GET HURT SOMEHOW, BECAUSE IT WAS QUITE A HAZARDOUS SITUATION WHEN THE TRANSMISSION FAILS SUDDENLY AT THE TOP OF A BIG, LONG HILL! IF MY KIDS HAD GOTTEN HURT, I PROBABLY COULD HAVE SUED THEM FOR A BILLION DOLLARS, BUT SINCE I ACTED QUICKLY, NOBODY WAS HURT, AND THUS, NOBODY AT NISSAN SEEMED TO CARE WHEN I COMPLAINED. THEY SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR FAULT MANUFACTURING! NO CAR'S TRANSMISSIONS SUDDENLY BREAK DOWN FOR NO APPARENT REASON WITH LESS THAN 90K MILES ON IT!
FOUND OUT THAT MY RADIATOR HAD A FAILURE AND A TRANSMISSION HOSE CRACKED INSIDE THE RADIATOR AND THE TRANSMISSION FLUID ALL MIXED UP TO INVADED BOTH THE MOTOR COOLING SYSTEM AND THE TRANSMISSION.. DONT WANT TO GO IN GEAR WHEN TURNING AND IT MAKE THIS RUMBLING NOSE WHEN YOU DRIVING IT
CAR HAD BEGUN SHUTTERING AND ENGINE WOULD REV REAL FAST. ON PARTICULAR DAY CAR ACTUALLY QUIT WORKING FOR GOOD, HUSBAND HAD PULLED INTO PARKING SPACE BECAUSE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND FROM THAT POINT FORWARD THE CAR WILL NOT CRANK. WHEN CAR FIRST STARTED SHUTTERING AND REVVING, CAR WAS TAKEN TO TRANSMISSION BUSINESS AND THERE WERE SEVERAL CARS OF THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL (NOT CERTAIN THAT ALL WERE OF SAME YEAR) WAITING TO HAVE TRANSMISSIONS REPLACED BECAUSE COOLANT HAD LEAKED INTO THE TRANSMISSION AND GRADUALLY KILLED THEM. WORKER AT TRANSMISSION SHOP KNEW EXACTLY WHAT WAS GOING ON WHEN HUSBAND EXPLAINED WHAT THE CAR WAS DOING, AND SAID THERE WERE MANY PEOPLE WHO HAD HAD THE SAME COMPLAINT.
RADIATOR COOLANT LEAKED INTO TRANSMISSION CAUSING PERMANENT TRANSMISSION FAILURE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN PATHFINDER. WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION FAILED TO SHIFT GEARS AND THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE AND THE RADIATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 111,000.
I WAS JUST INFORMED BY A FELLOW NISSAN OWNER ABOUT HER TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT. WHY WAS I NOT NOTIFIED BY NISSAN THAT THERE WAS AN ISSUE? NO CARD, LETTER... NOTHING! I WOULD HAVE HAD MY CAR INSPECTED FOR DEFECT IF I KNEW!!
AS I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON THE HIGHWAY IT STARTED TO SHUDDER AND SHAKE AND THEN FINALLY COMPLETELY TURNED OFF ON THE HIGHWAY. ONCE I GOT IT STARTED AGAIN IT WOULD ONLY GO ABOUT 20MPH I WAS ABLE TO MOVE OVER TO THE SHOULDER AND EXIT THE HIGHWAY. ONCE WE TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER, THEY TOLD US THAT THE RADIATOR HAD LEAKED INTO THE TRANSMISSION AND ALSO THAT I NEEDED TO REPLACE TWO CATALYCTIC CONVERTERS. THE TOTAL REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENTS WOULD COST ME $8000 AS I WOULD ALSO NEED TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION AND RADIATOR. WE REPLACED THE RADIATOR BUT OF COURSE THAT IS ONLY HALF THE PROBLEM. I STILL OWE ABOUT $13K ON THE VEHICLE, HAVE ONLY HAD IT FOR 8 MONTHS AND AM NOW STUCK BECAUSE I DONT HAVE THE MONEY TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION AND I CANT GET RID OF THE TRUCK KNOWING THIS PROBLEM.
TOWED MY CAR TO THE LOCAL SHOP AND FOUND OUT THAT THE RADIATOR HAS AN INTERNAL CRACK AND LEAKED INTO THE TRANSMISSION. BURNED OUT THE TCM AND NOW I AM GOING TO HAVE TO PAY MORE THAN $5000 TO GET IT FIXED. CALLED NISSAN AND WAS TOLD I NEEDED TO REPLACE THE RADIATOR AND TRANSMISSION. NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS AT ALL.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE DEALER I WORK FOR HAD CHECKED MY VEHICLE SINCE IT HAS BEEN LEAKING PINK FLUID FROM MY ENGINE TURNS OUT THEY FOUND ON MY 20007 NISSAN PATHFINDER A COOLANT IN TRANSMISSION MEANING THERE IS AN INTERNAL TRANSMISSION CROSS CONTAMINATION COOLER FAILURE. BOTTOM LINE THEY TOLD ME I NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION AND FIXED ME HOSES FOR THE POWER STEERING FLUID COSTING ME OVER $5300.00 WITH A HUGE DEALERSHIP. I JUST BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE IN FEBRUARY 16, 2015 FROM A PRIVATE DEALER AND NOW I AM STUCK WITH A HUGE BILL TO FIX SOMETHING THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MADE A AWARE OF NATIONALLY. THIS VEHICLE'S CARFAX IS AWESOME AND NO ENGINE ISSUES WHICH I MADE IT MY BUSINESS TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS OKAY WITH THIS VEHICLE. PLEASE TAKE CARE OF THIS...WHY DO I HAVE SUFFER BEING WITHOUT A CAR AGAIN AS A SINGLE MOTHER OF THREE THIS IS NOT RIGHT.
I'M HERE TO SUBMIT A COMPLAINT AGAINST NISSAN I HAD TO PAID 3,000 IN REPAIRS FOR THE RADIATOR AND TRANSMITION BECAUSE THE RADIATOR BRAKES A CERTAIN MILEAGE AND THE FLUID MIXES WITH THE TRANSMITION FLUID CAUSING THE TRANSMITION FAILURE,THIS IS A PROBLEM NISSAN HAS TO ADDRESS AND RECALL THOSE CARS SO THE OWNERS WONT HAVE TO PAY FOR THE DAMAGE,I'M AWARE THAT MANY OWNERS ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE,THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT BUT I SEEN VERY LITTLE HELP,I WOULD LIKE TO DO ANYTHING POSIBLE IN ORDER TO GET THIS ISSUE ADDRESSED.

BOTTOM LINE THEY TOLD ME I NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION AND RADIATOR COSTING ME OVER $5300.00. IN RESEARCHING CHEAPER PLACES, I CAME ABOUT WITH A LAW SUIT ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO REGARDING THIS SAME ISSUE AGAINST NISSAN. I ALSO FOUND MANY COMPLAINTS FROM SEVERAL PEOPLE AND THE DEALERS ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT THIS. I'VE BEEN TOLD BY MY LOCAL MECHANIC THAT THIS IS SOMETHING THAT COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED. I DON'T KNOW WHY NISSAN DIDN'T OFFER A RECALL ON THE XTERRAS, AND PATHFINDERS AND HELP PEOPLE LIKE ME, NOT SPEND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON THESE VEHICLES. I AM STILL PAYING FOR THIS CAR, HAVE ONLY HAD IT FOR LESS THAN 3 YEARS AND BOUGHT IT PRE OWNED. I BROUGHT IT SEVERAL TIMES TO HUNTINGTON BEACH DEALER IN CA, FOR THE REGULAR MAINTENANCE AND NOT EVEN ONCE, I WAS OFFERED TO EXTEND MY WARRANTY, OR OFFERED TO LOOK AT MY RADIATOR AND FIX THE PROBLEM BEFORE IT BECAME A BIG ISSUE. I CONTACTED HEADQUARTERS AND I WAS TOLD I DON'T QUALIFY FOR THE "EXTENDED WARRANTY" IT ENDS AT 100K MILES AND MY CAR IS OVER 124K MILES. ALSO, I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $3K OF MY MONEY BEFORE THE DEALER WOULD COVER ANY MAJOR REPAIRS... REALLY???? IS THIS HELPING OUT SOMEONE? A LOT OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS OWN NISSANS AND I HAVE SPREAD THE WORD OF HOW BAD THESE CARS ARE, AND WHEN WE LOOK FOR HELP, THEY SLAM THE DOOR AT OUR FACES. THIS IS NOT RIGHT, THIS IS SOMETHING THAT COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED AND NISSAN IS MAKING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FROM HARD WORKING PEOPLE LIKE ME, FIXING PROBLEMS, THEY SHOULD HAVE FIXED IN THE FIRST PLACE. I HAVE A 6 YEAR OLD AND PREGNANT NOW, AND COMMUTE OVER 70 MILES BACK AND FORTH EVERY DAY, THEY ARE LUCKY MY CAR DIDN'T STOP ON THE FREEWAY AND CAUSED A BIG ACCIDENT.I WOULD BE SUING THEM NOW.
2007 NISSIAN PATHFINDER -RADIATOR LEAKED INTO TRANSMISSION, CAUSING FAILURE TO TRANSMISSION. REPLACED RADIATOR, ALL FLUIDS AND FLUSHED OUT SECONDARY RADIATOR AND RESERVOUR AND NEW THERMOSTAT, FLUSHED OUT TRANSMISSION FLUIDS. NOW NEEDS NEW TRANSMISSION, WHICH IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE PART OF THE JOB!
07 PATHFINDER (PF) AUTO, 05/30/15 CAME OUT TO FIND PF LEAKING. RADIATOR LEAKING AN ODD FLUID, OPENED TRANSMISSION CAP AND SIMILAR FLUID BUBBLED OUT. DID NOT DRIVE THE CAR, LOOKED ONLINE/CALLED MECHANIC. FINALLY CALLED A NISSAN DEALER AND 2 TRANSMISSION PLACES, AND AS SOON AS I SAID OUR COOLANT AND TRANSMISSION FLUID ARE FROTHY & CHOCOLATE MILK LIKE EVERY PLACE KNEW WE NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION, RADIATOR, ETC. A YEAR AGO I BOUGHT THE CAR USED AT A NON-NISSAN DEALERSHIP, AND BROUGHT IT BACK THEN BECAUSE I NOTICED A LAG/SHUTTER IN THE SHIFTING SOMETIMES. THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE PROBLEM, SAID IT WAS JUST A FUNCTION OF THE OVERDRIVE, AND NOT AN ISSUE. I HAVE CONTINUED TO HAVE A LAG/SHUTTER OCCASIONALLY, BUT I HAVE THOUGHT NOTHING OF IT. WE PURCHASED OUR 2007 NISSAN PATHFINDER ON MAY 21 OF THIS YEAR. TODAY MAKES 39 DAYS WE'VE HAD IT. ON THE 32 DAY WE NOTICED IT WAS HAVING SOME ROUGHNESS IN THE TRANSMISSION WHEN CHANGING GEARS. IT FELT LIKE WE WERE RUNNING OVER REALLY ROUGH ROADS OR RUMBLE STRIPS. IT CONTINUED TO GET WORSE THE LONGER WE DROVE IT. THEN AROUND A WEEK AGO I PUT IT IN REVERSE AND IT CONTINUED TO ROLL FORWARD. I IMMEDIATELY DROVE HOME TO INFORM MY HUSBAND. WHEN HE CHECKED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID IT APPEARED TO BE EMPTY. WHEN HE FURTHER CHECKED IT AND CLEANED THE DIP STICK IT WAS A TANISH COLORED LIQUID THAT WAS SHOWING UP. I WENT TO GOOGLE AND FOUND THAT MANY OTHERS WITH THIS SAME OR SIMILAR VEHICLE WAS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM, AND THAT THE PROBLEM WAS A LEAK IN A RADIATOR HOSE THAT RUNS THRU THE TRANSMISSION AND LEAKS FLUIDS BACK AND FORTH. MY HUSBAND WENT TO CHECK THE RADIATOR AND SURE ENOUGH THERE IS TRANSMISSION FLUID IN THE RADIATOR AND IT APPEARED IN THE ENGINE AS WELL. SO NOW WE HAVE TRANSMISSION FLUID, WATER, AND ANTIFREEZE IN OUR TRANSMISSION, RADIATOR AND ENGINE. NISSAN NEEDS TO STEP UP AND TAKE CARE OF THIS PROBLEM. ITS CLEAR THAT THIS IS A FLAW IN THEIR WORKMANSHIP. WE WERE TOLD BY NISSAN TO BRING OUR PATHFINDER IN FOR AN EVALUATION AND BE PREPARED TO PAY 2,500.00 DOLLARS. RETURNED ADDITIONAL CODES RELATED TO TRANSMISSION. CONCURRENTLY THE VEHICLE WAS STUMBLING AT CERTAIN SPEED/RPM WITH RUMBLING NOISE IN DRIVETRAIN AND HESITATION DURING ACCELLERATION. APPARENTLY THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE BY NISSAN, WHERE THERE'S A CRACK THAT ALLOWS THE RADIATOR COOLANT AND TRANSMISSION FLUID TO MIX, CAUSING THE TRANSMISSION TO FAIL. THIS IS EXTREMELY WRONG THAT A CONSUMER MUST PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR A KNOWN AND ACKNOWLEDGED FLAW IN THE MANUFACTURER'S DESIGN.
GAS GAUGE DISPLAYS INCORRECTLY AND HAS A RELATED CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THE GAUGE SOMETIMES SEEMS TO WORK AND THEN PRECIPITOUSLY DROPS TO EMPTY EVEN THOUGH TANK IS NEARLY FULL. THIS ADDITIONALLY SEEMS TO CAUSE A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO DISPLAY, AND WHEN CHECKED, SHOWS A P0463 CODE (FUEL LEVEL SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH INPUT).
