Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)Since I purchased the 2024 Nissan pathfinder in October 2023 I have had multiple issues with the glass windshield and visibility issues. The problem normally occurs when it rains and a white film comes on the windshield making it sometimes impossible to see while driving the vehicle. The problem gets worse at night if its raining because the glare from the light makes it impossible to see anything while driving. On two occasions while driving the car while raining especially at night I have almost ran off the road because the white film on the windshield was so blurry I couldn't see. I have taken the car back to several Nissan dealers who replaced windshield wipers. The problem has still continued after replacing three sets of windshield wipers blades. The windshield has been washed with Windex and film remover and film still remains. I took the car to Coggin Nissan where it was inspected by service adviser and glass rep. The glass rep stated that it was a after market windshield and not the normal Nissan genuine part. The service advisor stated that all he saw was calcium build up from hard water. In addition there also seems to be an issue with the defrost system not working when this film on the windshield appears. This is a serious safety issue that can cause me to get into a serious accident that could injure myself or others.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
