The vehicle was taken for the bulb replacement, and the contact was informed that the wiring harness for the driver’s side light bulb was burned. The dealer was unable to determine why the wire had overheated and burned while the low beam headlight was activated. The light bulb was replaced, and the wiring harness was replaced 3 times. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 106,864.
