TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. HOWEVER, THE CONTACT WAS UNSURE ABOUT WHAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
I WAS TRAVELING DOWN I-95 WITH THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC AT A SPEED OF 75 -78 MPH FROM MARYLAND TO GEORGIA, SOMEWHERE ALONG NORTH CAROLINA MY ENGINE STARTED TO LOOSE ACCELERATION. IT DID NOT DIE OUT. I HAD TO PULL OVER BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT GO OVER 60 MPH WITH THE GAS PEDDLE PRESS ALL THE WAY DOWN. ONCE I TURN THE ROUGE OFF AND WAITED ABOUT 5 MINUTES I HEARD A CLICK AND STARTED IT VEHICLE UP AND DROVE WITH NO PROBLEMS UNTIL I WAS ABOUT A 100 MILES FROM GEORGIA AND HAD TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN. THERE WAS NO CODES LIGHTS AND I STILL PUT A READER ON IT AND NOTHING SHOWED UP. IT HAS BEEN PUZZLING IF YOU ACCELERATE FOR TO LONG AND THE VEHICLE SLOWS DOWN IN TRAFFIC. *TR
I HAD BEEN DRIVING APPROXIMATELY AN HOUR IN 90 DEGREE WEATHER ON THE INTERSTATE GOING 65 MPH WHEN MY NISSAN ROGUE LOST THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE. WITH THE ACCELERATION PEDAL FULLY DEPRESSED, THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AND EVENTUALLY STOPPED ALTOGETHER, CAUSING ME TO ATTEMPT MANEUVERING AROUND CARS GOING OVER 70 MPH TO GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I WAS ALMOST STRUCK TWICE. AFTER 20 MINUTES I WAS ABLE TO START THE CAR AGAIN AND DRIVE AT 40MPH TO THE DEALERSHIP. I WAS TOLD TODAY IT WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE AND IT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED COSTING ME $1000. PREVIOUS MODELS OF THE ROGUE THROUGH 2010 HAD AN EXTENDED WARRANTY OFFERED FOR THIS ISSUE THROUGH 120,000 BUT MINE IS A 2011 AND I WAS TOLD I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT MYSELF. I HAVE CONTACTED 1-800-NISSAN1 AND FILED A COMPLAINT. THIS IS INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING AND DANGEROUS. *TR
I BOUGHT THIS CAR IN 2013 USED WITH 38000 MILES AFTER ABOUT 60000 MILES I NOTICED THAT AT A STOP LIGHT IT WOULD NOT GO WHEN I ACCELERATED AND AFTER A FEW SECONDS IT WOULD GO, THIS HAPPENED A COUPLE OF TIMES. THERE WAS NO WARRANTY ON THE VEHICLE SO I PURCHASED A EXTENDED WARRANTY. THE NEXT INCIDENT WAS WHEN I WAS DRIVING ALL OF A SUDDEN THE RPM'S STARTED GOING REAL HIGH AND THEN THE CAR SLOWLY LOST POWE,R AT THIS TIME I HAD ABOUT 2000 MILES LEFT ON MY WARRANTY TOOK IT INTO THE SHOP WHERE THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG . I CONTINUED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE WHICH BY NOW THE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED. THE CAR WAS GETTING TO THE POINT THAT WHEN IT HAPPENED I WOULD HAVE TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO WAIT AND AFTER A FEW MINUTES IT WOULD GAIN POWER AGAIN, I THEN TOOK IT TO NISSAN WHERE THE TOLD ME IT WAS MY TRANSMISSION, I TOOK IT FOR A SECOND OPINION WHERE THEY CONFIRMED IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION WHICH THEY SAY IS CRAZING FOR AS LITTLE MILES AND BEING A SOME WHAT NEW CAR. IT COST ME 2600.00 COMPARED TO NISSAN WHICH WANTED 3800.00. THE PROBLEM I HAD WAS THAT I DRIVE ABOUT 84 MILES FROM HOME TO WORK AND IT STARED TO GET WHERE I COULDN'T TRUST THAT CAR. FROM WHAT I READ AND WAS TOLD FROM NISSAN IS THAT THE ALTAMA HAS VERY SIMILAR PROBLEMS TO WHERE THE SEE A CAR A DAY WITH TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS WHICH IS NOT RIGHT, WHY SHOULD WE CONSUMERS GET STUCK WITH COSTLY REPAIRS ON A FAIRLY NEW VEHICLE. MY CAR NEVER HAD A ENGINE LIGHT THAT CAME ON THEY ONLY WAY I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG IS WHEN THE RPM'S WENT REAL HIGH. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED AFTER THE RPM GAUGE FLUCTUATED. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000.
FROM STOP TO TRYING TO CROSS A INTERSECTION VEHICLE STOPPED ACCELERATING. IF ANOTHER CAR WAS COMING A LOSS OF ACCELERATION CAN CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL COMPLAINT FOR THE SAME ISSUE POSTED ALL OVER THE INTERNET. FROM 2008 TO 2013 MODELS. IT SEEMS TO BE A KNOWN ISSUE AND NO RECALL YET. I HOPE THEY DO NOT WAIT UNTIL A DEATH OCCURS. *TR
HALF WAY INTO PARKING SPOT WITH FOOT ON BRAKE PAD THE CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AT A HIGH RATE AND SMASHED INTO A LIGHT POLE DENTING THE FRONT (PASSENGER SIDE) END AS WELL AS BOTH FRONT SIDES. HARD ENOUGH TO MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO OPEN BOTH FRONT DOORS. TOTAL TRAVEL LENGTH APPROXIMATE 5 -6 FEET. IF NEEDED I WILL SUBMIT PHOTOS OF DAMAGE & INJURY I HAD MY ENTIRE LOW ABDOMEN COMPLETELY BLACK AND BLUE, SWOLLEN AS WELL AS MY RIGHT KNEE & BREAST BRUISED. THE DAMAGE WAS DEEMED BY GEICO INSPECTORS AS A TOTAL LOSS. I CONTACTED NISSAN VERBAL AND WRITING INCLUDING PICTURES OF THE CAR AND MY INJURIES. PROVIDED ALL THE INFORMATION REQUESTED BY NISSAN REP. AND NEVER HEARD FROM NISSAN THAN AGAIN. NOT EVEN A SORRY!!
THIS IS THE SITUATION THAT HAPPENED WITH MY VEHICAL TOO, THE BELOW STATEMENT IS ANOTHER PERSONS COMPLAINT AS WELL AS MINE. I HAVE A 2011 NISSAN ROGUE BUT MY TRANSMISSION WAS INSTALLED IN OCT 2010, I AM HAVING THE SAME ISSUES THAT ARE HAPPENING WITH THE 2010 RECALL . THEY ARE GETTING THE EXTENDED WARRANTY AND I FEEL THAT THE 2011 SHOULD GET THE SAME EXTENDED WARRANTY SUMMARY: THE 2011 ROGUE IS THE CAR WE USE FOR LONGER TRIPS WHEN WE'RE NOT FLYING. ABOUT TWO HOURS INTO A LONG INTERSTATE TRIP IN MAY 2013 WE STARTED TO HEAR A HIGH PITCHED WHINE FROM THE TRANSMISSION WHENEVER WE WOULD ACCELERATE TO GO UPHILL OR PASS ANOTHER VEHICLE. SHORTLY AFTER WE STARTED HEARING THAT NOISE THE TRANSMISSION WAS UNABLE TO "DOWNSHIFT" (TECHNICALLY CVTS DON'T DOWNSHIFT) AND WE LOST POWER. WE COULD STILL MAINTAIN A REASONABLE SPEED ON LEVEL TERRAIN, BUT WE WERE BARELY ABLE TO MAINTAIN SPEED GOING OVER SMALL HILLS. WE WOULD HAVE OUR FOOT PLANTED ON THE ACCELERATOR BUT NOTHING WOULD HAPPEN, ACCELERATION WISE. ONCE WE'D STOP, TURN THE CAR OFF, WAIT A FEW MINUTES, THEN START THE CAR AND GET BACK TO DRIVING, EVERYTHING WOULD BE FINE. BUT AFTER A WHILE OF EXTENDED DRIVING THE PROBLEM WOULD RETURN. THIS ISSUE HAS SHOWN UP A FEW TIME SINCE THEN BUT ALWAYS DURING EXTENDED DRIVING SESSIONS AND NEVER ON THE DAY-TO-DAY SHORT COMMUTES, WHICH HAS MADE IT FRUSTRATING TO TRACK. IN DOING A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH WE FOUND MANY OTHER ROGUE OWNERS DESCRIBING OUR EXACT SAME SYMPTOMS, AND EVEN SOMEONE THAT POSTED A YOUTUBE VIDEO DURING THEIR PROBLEM. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO SHIFT UP. ALTHOUGH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THERE WAS A SUDDEN INCREASE IN ENGINE RPMS, BUT THE VEHICLE DID NOT ACCELERATE WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44,000.
GOING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AT CRUISING SPEED, WITH SPEED CONTROL SET, IT WOULD JUST DROP OFF CRUISE CONTROL ON IT'S OWN AND SPEED DECREASED RAPIDLY. MANUAL ACCELERATION WOULD ALSO NOT WORK. I HAD TO EXIT THE INTERSTATE AT VERY LOW SPEED. WE ALLOWED THE ROGUE TO SIT FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES THINKING THAT IS WAS OVERHEATING AS WE HAD BEEN ON A ROAD TRIP AND WERE HEADING HOME. AFTER TURNING IT BACK ON IT WAS ACTING NORMAL AGAIN. WE DIDN'T HAVE ANY TROUBLE WITHIT AGAIN UNTIL THE NEXT SUMMER WHEN WE TOOK A ROAD TRIP AGAIN. SINCE THEN IT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES SO I KNEW THAT IT COULDN'T BE FROM THE CAR OVERHEATING. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS A SERVICE BULLETIN CONCERNING THIS ISSUE, BUT THE 2011 MODEL WAS NOT COVERED. THIS IS INSANE. I WAS TOLD IT WOULD COST APPROXIMATELY $5,000 TO REPAINR. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG THIS PROBLEM HAS EXISTED BECAUES WE HAD NEVER TAKEN IN ON A ROAD TRIP UNTIL ABOUT 50,000 MILES WHEN IT OCCURRED. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AFTER THE SECOND INCIDENT AT 62,000. THEY SAID THEY WOULD HAVE REPAIRED IT HAD WE BROUGHT IT IN PRIOR TO 60,000 BUT SINCE IT WAS OVER THEY WOULD COVER NOTHING EVEN THOUGH THEY ADMITTED THERE ARE PROBLEMS WITH MANY OF THIER TRANSMISSIONS!! THEY ALSO SAID THEY WOULD ONLY REPLACE OR ADD A COOLING FAN BUT THEY WOULD NOT TRY TO REPAIR IT BECAUSE THAT WAS NOT ALLOWED BY NISSAN. THEY SAID NISSAN WILL NOT EVEN LET THEM OPEN IT UP. THIS IS VERY WRONG!
FUEL GAUGE SHOWS ONLY 1/4 TANK AFTER FULL UP. EVENTUALLY SHOWS FULL AFTER ABOUT 50 MILES, THEN STAYS AT FULL FOR APPROXIMATELY 100 MILES BEFORE IT SHOWS ANY FUEL USED. *TR
THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I DRIVE MORE THAN 50 MILES AT A TIME . IF I AM DRIVING FOR A LONG TIME AND SLOW DOWN MY CAR DOES NOT ACCELERATE ANYMORE. I HA E TO SHUT MY CAR OFF FOR AT LEAST 5 MIN. BEFORE I CAN START DRIVING AGAIN. SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE POWER TRAIN. IT STRUGGLES TO KEEP UP AND ALMOST SOUNDS LIKE THE CAR IS GOING TO DIE. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO NISSAN DEALERSHIPS 3 TIMES BEFORE MY EXTENDED WARRENTLY WAS UP AND PAID $100 EVERY TIME THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG AFTER THE HOOK IT UP TO THE COMPUTER.
WAS DRIVING MY 2011 ROUGE HOME ON A 120 MILE TRIP ON THE INTERSTATE AND AFTER ABOUT AND HOUR OF DRIVING THE CALL SUDDENLY REFUSED TO ACCELERATE PAST 3000 RPM. THERE WAS ABOUT 20 MILES BETWEEN EXISTS AND THIS BECAME A SAFETY CONCERN WHILE TRYING TO CLIMB AN INCLINE; THE CAR DECELERATED FROM 70 MPH TO 45 MPH AND I COULD NOT DO ENOUGH TO GET OUT OF THE WAY OF OTHER TRAFFIC. AFTER 15 MILES OR SO OF DRIVING, IT RETURNED TO NORMAL. IT HAS SINCE OCCURRED 3 MORE TIMES WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE FOR TRIPS OVER AN HOUR. I TOOK IT TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP ON 4/21/14 AND WAS TOLD THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE NO CODES WERE PRODUCED. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER, WHO STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF PROBLEM. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE TURNING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE BECAME DIFFICULT TO TURN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 11565000 (STEERING). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.
THE TRANSMISSION STARTED CLICKING MID-MARCH 2014. I TOOK IT INTO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE IS A 2011 WITH 85,000 MILES - IT SHOULD NOT NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION AND IS CURRENTLY OUT OF WARRANTY. THE COST OF REPLACEMENT IS $3,000. THE PREVIOUS MODEL YEARS 2003-2010 WARRANTY'S WERE INCREASED TO 10 YEARS 120,000 MILES DUE TO ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION. IT APPEARS TO ME THAT THE ISSUE WAS NOT FIXED AND WARRANTY'S AGAIN SHOULD BE EXTENDED FOR OWNERS OF MODEL YEAR 2011 AND BEYOND. NISSAN SHOULD STAND BY THEIR VEHICLES AND REPAIR AND REPLACE WHEN ISSUES ARISE. *TR
HAD BEEN DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE FOR 35 MINUTES. EXITED THE OFF RAMP AT A RED LIGHT SO THE VEHICLE WAS AT A COMPLETE STOP. WHEN THE LIGHT CHANGED THE ROGUE WOULD NOT GO. I HAD TO SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF AND START IT BACK UP. IT SEEMED TO RESET ITSELF. HAD A SIMILAR INCIDENT IN THE SUMMER OF 2013 WHEN IT WAS 90 DEGREES DROVE FOR 90 MILES TRIED TO PASS SOMEONE ON THE INTERSTATE AND COULD NOT GET IT TO GO OVER 50 MPH WHEN THE SPEED LIMIT IS 70. HAD TO PULL OFF AND RESTART THE VEHICLE. VERY DANGEROUS. *TR
WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 65 AND 70 MPH, THE 2011 ROUGE WITHOUT WARNING JUST SHUT DOWN (LOST POWER) PULLED OVER AND SAT THERE FOR 10 MINUTES AND IT STARTED AND RAN FINE. THREE WEEKS LATER, IT HAPPENED WHILE MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING IT. IT SHUT DOWN (LOST POWER), PULLED OVER SAT AND THEN RESTARTED THE CAR. NO WARNING LIGHTS, NOT WARNING OF ANY KIND, ALL GAUGES WERE NORMAL. THIS COULD CAUSE ONE TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT OR EVEN DEATH. I HAVE SEEN WHERE OTHER NISSAN CARS HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT, RECALLED FIXED, AND SOON BEFORE IT CAUSES INJURIES. 66,000 MILES IS WHEN IT STARTED HAPPENING. I AM SCARED TO DRIVE MY CAR ANYWHERE DUE TO THE RISK OF INJURY I AM PUTTING MYSELF AND OTHERS IN. PLEASE CHECK THIS OUT AND DO SOMETHING BEFORE IT IS TO LATE FOR SOMEONE. *TR
WHEN BRAKES WAS APPLIED IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED MOMENTARILY AND BRAKES HAD TO BE DEPRESSED ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOOR AT WHICH POINT THE VEHICLE EASED INTO A STOP IN A VERY UNTIMELY AND UNSAFE MANNER. SOMETIMES WHEN ATTEMPTING TO STOP THE VEHICLE, THE BRAKES HAVE TO BE APPLIED ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR, THE VEHICLE RESPONDS VERY SLOWLY AS IF THE BRAKES HAD NOT BEEN APPLIED. OTHER TIMES THE VEHICLE STOPS ABRUPTLY AS IF THE BRAKES HAD BEEN APPLIED AGGRESSIVELY. WHILE STOPPED UPWARD FOR ABOUT A MINUTE AT A SLIGHTLY INCLINED HILL AND BEHIND ANOTHER VEHICLE IN ORDER TO OBEY A RED TRAFFIC LIGHT, THE VEHICLE PROPELLED FORWARD AS IF THE BRAKES WAS NOT CURRENTLY APPLIED. THE BRAKES HAD TO BE RE-APPLIED ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR TO STOP THE VEHICLE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO CURRY NISSAN DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE TO REPORT THE PROBLEM AND SET AN APPOINTMENT FOR THEM TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. ALSO, I INFORMED THE ATTENDANT AT THE DEALER THAT THERE ARE A FEW COMPLAINTS FILED ONLINE THAT WERE ADDRESSING THE SAME PROBLEM THAT I EXPERIENCED WITH THE BRAKES OF THE NISSAN ROGUE 2011. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED NUMEROUS TIMES AND THE FAILSAFE MODE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. ALSO, THE TRANSMISSION OVERHEATED ONCE CAUSING THE TRANSMISSION FLUID TO LEAK. THE DEALER TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE BUT WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 61,000.
WE WERE DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAY AT 70 MPH. CAR BEGAN BUCKING, HAD A HIGH PITCHED WHINING AND LOST ALL POWER IN ACCELERATION, TRANSMISSION WENT OUT. WE IMMEDIATELY DROPPED TO 20 MPH. NISSAN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THOSE BUT REFUSED TO EXTEND WARRANTY ON 2011 WHICH HAS THE SAME TRANSMISSION. THE CAR GAVE NO WARNING AT ALL. THIS PROBLEM COULD HAVE CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. I PURCHASED MY 2011 NISSAN ROGUE IN 2011 BRAND NEW. IN DEC 2013, AS I WOULD DRIVE TO/FROM WORK I FELT THE CAR WAS TRYING TO LOWER ITS SPEED WHILE I KEPT MY FOOT ON THE GAS PEDAL. NOW JULY 2015, LESS THAN 2 YEARS LATER WITH A NEW TRANSMISSION AT 60,000 MILES THE POWER TRAIN GOT WORSE. AS I WAS DRIVING UP A HILL THERE WAS A RED TRAFFIC LIGHT SO I STOPPED MY VEHICLE. ONCE THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN I LET GO OF THE GAS PEDAL AND PRESSED ON THE GAS PEDAL AND IT DID NOT MOVE. THERE WERE A LOT OF CARS BEHIND ME AND LUCKILY MY CAR DID NOT START TO BACKWARDS. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE FEEDER ROAD WHEN I HAD TO SUDDENLY BRAKE DUE TO ANOTHER VEHICLE ATTEMPTING AN UNSAFE LANE CHANGE. MY VEHICLE SLOWED, AND THE ABS ACTIVATED. BECAUSE OF THIS, I ALMOST GOT HIT BY A TRUCK THAT WAS IN THE DISTANCE OF THE STRIGHT LANE THAT I MERGED INTO. I PULLED IN FRONT OF HIM BUT COULD NOT GO ANYWHERE AND HE WAS FORCED TO MAKE A QUICK SWERVE INTO ANOTHER LANE TO AVOID ME. THE INTERNET IS FULL OF VIDEOS AND COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER NISSAN ROGUE OWNERS THAT ARE HAVIN THE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS. MY CAR DOES HAVE A LOT OF MILEAGE AS I TRAVEL ABOUT 1,200 MILES PER WEEK FOR MY JOB AS A TERRITORY MANAGER. THE BACK BRAKE LIGHTS FAIL TO COME ON. WHEN I HAD THEM CHECKED, THE AUTO MECHANIC SAID THE BULB WAS BURNT. AFTER CHANGING THE BULBS, THE BRAKE LIGHTS STILL DID NOT COME ON. WE CHECKED THE FUSES AND THIS DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THE BRAKE LIGHTS STILL FAIL COME ON WHEN THE BRAKES ARE PRESSED. *JS

ON JULY 5TH 2012 OUR RECENTLY PURCHASED (FROM CARMAX) NISSAN ROGUE SV AWD WAS TAKEN IN TO CARMAX (WHERE CAR WAS PURCHASED) IN RALEIGH NC FOR UNIDENTIFIABLE NOISE WHERE WE WERE TOLD THE TRANSMISSION SEALS WERE LEAKING. THE TRANSMISSION SEALS WERE REPLACED BY THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP IN RALEIGH NC. JULY 27TH, 2012 WE NOTICED AN ODD WHINING/GRINDING WHEN DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS AND THEN WHEN THE ACCELERATOR WAS DEPRESSED. THE WHINING/GRINDING BECAME WORSE OVER THE NEXT WEEK. ON AUGUST 6TH 2012 THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND WE WERE TOLD THE TRANSMISSION SEALS WERE BAD AGAIN AND THAT THE CVT TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TRANSMISSION WAS ORDERED ON THE 6TH OF AUGUST AND ON THE 13TH OF AUGUST WE WERE NOTIFIED BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THE NISSAN CVT TRANSMISSIONS ARE ON BACK ORDER AND THE BACK ORDER IS NOT SCHEDULED TO RELEASE UNTIL THE 17TH OF AUGUST. *TR

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
