TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN DRIVER DROVE ON THE HIGHWAY THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE OVER 55MPH. THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO MOVE ONTO THE ROAD SHOULDER, RESTARTED THE ENGINE AND DROVE THE VEHICLE OFF THE HIGHWAY TRAFFIC. THE DRIVE DROVE THE VEHICLE HOME ON THE BACK ROADS. THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHTS ON THE INSTRUMENTAL PANEL BEFORE OR DURING THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC AND A TRANSMISSION MECHANIC AND THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A NISSAN DEALER.THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KELLY NISSAN OF WOBURN NISSAN 95 CEDAR STREET WOBURN, MA, 01801 PHONE (781-835-3500) THE DEALER PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC THAT LOCATED THE FAILURE AT THE CVT TRANSMISSION INTERNAL THE TRANSMISSION FAILURE WAD DUE TEMPERATURE LOGIC RAISED TEMPERATURE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
CVT TRANSMISSION IS MAKING A HORRENDOUS NOISE AND STAYS IN LOW GEAR THROUGHOUT ,NISSAN MURANO I HAVE , RECENTLY HAD TO HAVE THE TRANSMISSION CHANGED FOR THE SAME PROBLEM , , EVERY BODY INCLUDING THE NISSAN TECHNICIANS, SAID THIS TRANSMISSION IS NO GOOD , WHY ARE WE NOT PROTECTED BY OUR GOVT. TIME FOR A RECALL .NISSAN HAVE HAD SO MANY COMPLAINTS ON THESE TRANSMISSIONS THEY HAVE ADDED 10 YEARS AND 100000 MILES TO WARRANTY FOR SOME VECHICLES BUT NOT OTHERS , TIME TO DO SOMETHING, PLEASE COMB THROUGH THE RECORDS AND SEE HOW MANY COMPLAINTS
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the air bag warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the airbag clockspring was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. Additionally, while driving at various speeds, the vehicle suddenly lost motive power and failed to accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. After turning off and restarting the vehicle, the vehicle operated as normal. The failure recurred on several occasions with the cruise control activated. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 92,000.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT THE SPEED LIMIT OF 70 MPH. I HAD THE CRUISE CONTROL SET AND WAS COMING UP TO A SMALL HILL. THE CAR BEGAN TO ACCELERATE AS NORMAL TO GET UP THE HILL. AS SOON AS I BEGAN TO DESCEND THE HILL, THE CAR WAS STILL TRYING TO ACCELERATE AND THE RPMS STARTED TO GET UP TO THE 6000S. I IMMEDIATELY TURN OF CRUISE CONTROL AND LET THE RPMS GO BACK DOWN BEFORE TRYING TO ACCELERATE TO STAY GOING TO SPEED LIMIT. THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AND THE RPMS WOULD GO UP QUICKLY WITH BARELY ANY TOUCH TO THE GAS PEDAL, SO I PULLED OVER ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. THE CAR GAVE ME NO WARNING WHAT SO EVER AND LEFT ME IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION. WHILE TRYING TO PULL OFF THE HIGHWAY AT A SAFE SPEED WITH 18-WHEELER TRUCKS HAVING TO SLOW DOWN AND GO AROUND ME CAUSING OTHER CARS TO SLAM ON THEIR BREAKS TO AVOID REAR-ENDING THE TRUCKS.
FROM 01/18/2018 TO 03/10/2020 MY CAR HAS BEEN IN THE CARMAX MAINTENANCE AND THE LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP A TOTAL OF SIX TIMES. THEY HAVE TORN MY CAR APART REPLACING THE ROOF AIRBAGS TWICE, THE WIRING HARNESS TWICE AND THE OTHER AIR BAGS AND EACH TIME THEY SAY THE FIXED THE PROBLEM ONLY TO HAVE THE AIRBAGS WARNING LIGHTS COME BACK ON. CURRENTLY IT'S ON WARNING ME I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY AIRBAGS LESS THE 160 MILES SINCE LAST REPAIR. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE!!! PLEASE RESPOND.!
Hi there, question. I own a 2013 Nissan Rogue and the passenger side airbag will not work because the sensor on the passenger seat is not working. So when a person seats on the passenger seat, the airbag is not active. I have contacted Nissan and they have informed me that the part is no longer available. I am sure I am not the only person who has this issue. How can I report this so that Nissan can take action on fixing this issue? Thanking you in advance. James@convergecreative.com
WOULD NOT ACCELERATE FORWARD OR REVERSE WITH NO WARNING WHILE DRIVING OR FROM A STATIONARY POSITION
MY VEHICLE HAD AN ELECTRICAL SHORTAGE AND CAUGHT ON FIRE. MY CAR WAS PARKED IN A DRIVEWAY NOT STARTED AND THE FIRE STARTED RIGHT NEAR THE DRIVER SIDE IN THE DASH

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE LOSS MOTIVE POWER WITH THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED TO THE FLOORBOARD HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO EXCEED 3,000 RPM. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED AFTER APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES OF DRIVING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000.
PURCHASED VEHICLE LEFT LOT, IT DROVE FINE ON THE HIGHWAY. AS WE WERE EXITING THE HIGHWAY, WAITING AT A RED LIGHT, THE VEHICLE STARTED VIBRATING AND RUMBLING. THE CHECK ENGINE GOES ON AND OFF AND THE PASSENGER SEATBELT LIGHT DOESN'T GO OFF WHEN THE BELT IS CLICKED.
WE LAST USED THE CAR AT 2:30PM AND PARKED IT IN OUR DRIVEWAY. IT WAS STATIONARY AND UNUSED FOR ABOUT 4.5 HOURS. AT ABOUT 7PM WE HEARD THE HORN GO OFF. IT WAS A STEADY BLOWING OF THE HORN. I OPENED THE FRONT DOOR, REALIZED IT WAS OUR CAR, AND GRABBED MY KEYS TO START THE CAR TO SEE IF THAT WOULD MAKE THE HORN STOP. WHEN I OPENED THE DRIVERS DOOR OF THE CAR I SAW THE ORANGE FLAMES AND THICK BLACK SMOKE. I RAN INTO THE HOUSE, HAD MY WIFE CALL 911 AND I GRABBED THE HOUSE FIRE EXTINGUISHER. THE FIRE STARTED ON THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE CAR EITHER RIGHT BELOW THE STEERING WHEEL OR ON THE LEFT SIDEWALL WHERE THE DRIVER'S LEFT LEG WOULD REST. I DID MY BEST PUTTING OUT THE FLAMES FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE BUT HAD TO GO TO THE RIDERS SIDE TO PUT OUT THE LEFT PANEL BY THE DRIVERS LEGS. THE FIRE WAS PROBABLY 95% PUT OUT WHEN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND POLICE DEPARTMENT SHOWED. BECAUSE THE FRONT HOOD RELEASE LATCH WAS SEVERELY DAMAGED BY THE FIRE THE FIRE DEPARTMENT HAD TO FORCE THE HOOD OPEN TO CHECK FOR FIRE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ALSO REMOVED PARTS OF DASHBOARD THAT WERE BURNT TO CHECK BEHIND TO MAKE SURE THE FIRE WAS OUT. IT WAS TOWED AWAY ABOUT AN HOUR LATER. THE CAR WAS "TOTALED" A WEEK LATER BY MY INSURANCE COMPANY.*DT*JB
WHILES DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AFTER A FEW HOURS MY CAR LOST POWER. PRESS THE ACCELERATOR THE CAR WILL NOT GO ANY FASTER. LOOK LIKE THE TRANSMISSION LOOSING POWER VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION NISSAN AND LEGAL AUTHORITIES SHOULD LOOK INTO THIS.

LOST SPEED DRIVING ON HIGHWAY, ALL OF A SUDDEN VEHICLE LOST POWER AND I WAS STEPPING ON GAS PEDAL AND VEHICLE WOULD NOT GO, I ALMOST GOT REARENDED DUE TO VEHICLE SLOWING DOWN.
WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY THE CAR STARTED SLOWING DOWN EVEN THOUGH I WAS PRESSING ON THE GAS. THIS HAPPENED A LITTLE OVER AN HOUR INTO DRIVING. I PULLED OFF AND AFTER A LITTLE WHILE STARTED DRIVING AGAIN AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE. ON A SECOND OCCASION AFTER DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY FOR A LITTLE OVER AN HOUR AGAIN I PULLED OFF TO GET GAS AND STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT. WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, I PRESS MY FOOT ON THE GAS AND THE CAR DID NOT MOVE. PICKED MY FOOT UP AND PRESS DOWN AGAIN WITH NO MOVEMENT AT FIRST BUT THEN THE CAR STARTED ROLLING VERY VERY SLOWLY. IT FINALLY PICKED UP ENOUGH SPEED TO GET ME OUT OF THE INTERSECTION AND TO THE GAS STATION. MY DESTIINATION WAS ABOUT 45 MINUTES AWAY AND I DID MAKE IT THERE WITHOUT ANY OTHER INCIDENTS. MY HUSBAND WAS ALSO DRIVING THE CAR ABOUT A WEEK BEFORE THIS AND AFTER STOPPING AT A STOP SIGN, HE PRESSED ON THE GAS BUT THE CAR DID NOT MOVE AT FIRST. MOVED VERY SLOWLY INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC AND LUCKILY HE WAS ABLE TO BACK IT UP BEFORE BEING HIT. WHEN THIS OCCURS, NO WARNING LIGHTS COME ON. WE JUST HAVE TOTAL LOSS OF ACCELERATION.
THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS FLASHING! THROUGH YOUR OTHER REPORTS, IT WOULD COST THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OF WHICH SHOULD BE NISSANS RESPONSIBILTY!! AND IT SHOULD BE RECALLED!! ONE LADY'S DAUGHTER GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE THE AIRBAG WENT OFF WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. SHE'S MAIMED FOR LIFE! !
THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, WHEN I TRIED TO START IT THE KEY WOULD NOT TURN IN THE IGNITION. THE STEERING WHEEL WAS NOT LOCKED.
2013 NISSAN ROGUE TROUBLE LIGHT COMES ON WITH A CODE B1018 & B1022 WITCH IS PASSENGER SEAT SENSOR. OTHER MODELS OF THE SAME YEAR ARE BEING RECALLED FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. THE CAR ONLY HAS 18,795 MILES, WE HAVED FOUND OUT THIS IS NOT A ISOLATED INCIDENT, IS THERE ANY WAY TO PUT THIS MODEL ON THE LIST FOR SAFETY REASONS.
I WAS DRIVING SLOWLY IN A 35 MPH SPEED LIMIT AREA AND MY AIRBAG LIGHT STARTED FLASHING. AFTER LOTS OF RESEARCH I FOUND THAT THE 2014 ROGUE HAS A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE, BUT NOT THE 2013. I DON'T FEEL SAFE IN MY CAR AND I HAVE ONLY HAD IT FOR 4 MONTHS. THE MILEAGE ON MY CAR WAS ABOUT 90,000. THIS CAR HAS NEVER HAD AN ACCIDENT AND THIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALL.
THE VEHICLE RADIO GOES ON AND OFF, THE DASH LIGHTS AND GAUGES GO ON AND OFF AND THE VEHICLE JERKS AND THEN STOPS THIS ALL WHILE DRIVING
I WAS MADE AWARE THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ISSUED BACK ON FEBRUARY 25, 2015. RECALL ID: 228072 CAMPAIN #: 15V032000. I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED OF THIS RECALL CONCERNING MY VEHICLE. OVER THE PAST FEW MONTHS, I'VE NOTICED MOISTURE ON THE FLOOR BOARDS IN THE FRONT OF MY VEHICLE. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE USED BACK IN DECEMBER OF 2015.

THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO RUN; HOWEVER, WHENEVER THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THE RPMS WOULD REV AGAIN AND THE VEHICLE WOULD MOVE SLOWLY. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO SLOWLY DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME AND HAD IT TOWED TO BALISE NISSAN OF WEST SPRINGFIELD (500 RIVERDALE ST, WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA 01089, (413) 746-2266). THE DEALER PROVIDED A REPAIR ESTIMATE OF $3,400 AND STATED THAT THE FAILURE SEEMED TO BE CAUSED BY THE CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION. THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 91,000. *DT CONSUMER STATED TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED AND PAID $3,526.45.*JB
BOUGHT THE VEHICLE IN LATE AUGUST 2019 AND IN MID SEPTEMBER STARTED HAVING ISSUES WITH TRANSMISSION. TOOK TO A DEALER AND WAS TOLD THEY HAD TRANSMISSION ISSUES BUT VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. ON 11/3/2019 VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT, NOBODY WAS HURT AND WAITING FOR POLICE REPORT, BUT I THINK NISSAN SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE AND FIXED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED
CAR WOULD TACK AT 5K-6K RPM AND NOT DOWNSHIFT, WOULD LOSE POWER AS DRIVING UPHILL IN HEAT. WOULDN'T SHIFT OUT OF GEAR , MAKING LOUD BUZZING SOUND. SHUTTER OR LOSE POWER AFTER DRIVING FOR A PERIOD OF TIME. THIS HAPPENS ON THE FREEWAY AND WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS. VEHICLE HAD 40K MILES WHEN FIRST STARTED TO HAVE THE ISSUE. RECENTLY BROUGHT TO NISSAN DEALERSHIP WHO STATED IT WAS A TRANSMISSION FAILURE WHERE THE TRANSMISSION DOESN'T COOL. DUE TO BEING OUT OF THE WARRANTY TIMELINE (5 YEARS) BUT WITHIN THE MILEAGE (52000 MILES), THEY WERE ABLE TO GET NISSAN TO COVER A COOLER KIT. HOWEVER, THE TRANSMISSION IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. PAINT CHIPPING FROM HOOD AND SIDE OF CAR WITHOUT ANY REASON OR ANY PRIOR DAMAGE.
MY AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT IS SHOWING/FLASHING. THERE IS A RECALL FOR 2014 BUT NOT 2013. WHY SHOULD I BE RESPONSIBLE FOR A FAULTY AIRBAG. NISSAN HAS A HISTORY OF FAULTY AIRBAGS. I AM HOPING 2013 ROGUE AIRBAGS CAN BE ADDED TO THE RECALL.

LEFT TAIL LIGHT/RUNNING LIGHT IS OUT, REPLACED BULBS AND FUSES BUT STILL NOT WORKING, COULD BE WIRING HARNESS UNCERTAIN AT THIS POINT
MY VEHICLE CONTINUES TO GO INTO LIMP MODE WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. A MECHANIC STATES THAT IT THE CVT, TRANSMISSION ISSUE. I JUST WENT OVER MY WARRANTY AND NOW I'M GOING TO HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET 3,000-5,000 DOLLARS TO HAVE FIXED. I HAVE SPOKE WITH MANY OTHERS THAT HAVE THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL, 2013-2018 WITH THE SAME ISSUE. I WAS IN THE FAST LANE AND MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT TAKE THE GAS AND ENDED UP ON THE SIDE OF THE RODE THREE TIMES DURING MY TRIP. ONCE I TURNED MY VEHICLE OFF, IT WOULD DRIVE NORMAL UNTIL I DROVE FOR ANOTHER HOUR OR MORE.
CAR WAS ACTING WEIRD WHEN I TURNED ON LAST 2 DAYS, ODOMETER CRUISER WHERE SHAKING WHEN I FIRST START AND TAKING LONGER TIME TO TURN ON. THIS MORNING WHEN I TRIED TO TURN IT ON IT DID NOT TURN ON ANY.
TORQUE CONVERTER MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSTIC CODE P0744 REQUIRING REPLACEMENT OF TRANSMISSION AT 66,000. NOTICED STALLING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS.
I'VE BEEN HAVE SHAKING AND DELAYS WITH THE CVT TRANSMISSION. IT HAS ALTOGETHER FAILED NOW AND I'VE ONLY OWNED THE VEHICLE SINCE THE END 2017. IT DIDN'T LAST TWO YEARS. THERE IS NO WAY I WILL REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION ONLY TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS AGAIN. SHAME ON NISSAN FOR NOT VALUING THEIR CUSTOMERS ENOUGH TO FIX THE CVT PROBLEMS. IF YOU'VE SETTLED IN COURT, THERE SHOULD DEFINITELY BE A RECALL ON ALL CVT TRANSMISSIONS. I WISH I KNEW ABOUT THE CVT ISSUES, I WOULD HAVE STEERED CLEAR OF NISSAN VEHICLES. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET WHEN IT WENT OUT. COULDN'T ACCELERATE AT A STOP LIGHT.
MY DAUGHTER WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT AND WHEN SHE TRIED TO ACCELERATE THE CAR WOULDN'T MOVE. SHE WAS ABLE TO GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND AFTER A FEW MINS & A TRIP TO ADVANCE AUTO PARTS & THEN A MECHANIC SHE WAS TOLD TO BRING IT HOME. THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. SHE PULLED INTO ANOTHER ADVANCED AUTO PARTS AND THEY RESET IT. SHE LOST POWER WHILE DRIVING OVER 50 MPH ON BACK ROADS AND THE INTERSTATE SEVERAL MORE TIMES. THIS CAR IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. WE WERE TOLD SHE NEEDS A NEW TRANSMISSION AND IT ONLY HAS 82K MILES. SHE'S A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT AND DOESN'T HAVE $3,700 SO THE CAR JUST SITS WHILE SHE STILL MAKES PAYMENTS.
AIRBAG LIGHT IS FLASHING. I HAVE A 2013 ROGUE ONLY 47K MILES. TOOK TO DEALER, AFTER 150.00 TO DIAGONOSE . THEY SAID THEY FOUND CODE STORED FOR PAST AIRBAG..PAST??? AND THEY HAVE A PROCEDURE. THEY RESET IT BUT IT CAME BACK ON. NEXT...THEY SAID THEY HAVE TO CHANGE THE SPIRAL CABLE- PART ALONE IS 682.00 AND IF THAT DOESNT DO IT, THEN THEY HAVE TO GO TO THE CONTROL BOARD AND THATS 1020.00 FOR PART... THEY ARE THE DEALER....BESIDES BEING A SAFETY ISSUE, HOW CAN THEY NOT KNOW EXACTLY WHERE THE PROBLEM IS?? I CALLED NISSAN TO PUT IN A CLAIM. THEY ARE WILLING TO TAKE SOME MONEY OFF THE SPIRAL CABLE, BUT WHY AM I PAYING FOR THAT IF THEY AREN'T EVEN SURE THAT IS THE PROBLEM!!! THERE ABSOLUTELY SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS...HOW CAN WE GET THIS DONE?
Safety issue in passenger seat airbag, continuing/multiple occurrences. “Passenger airbag off” warning has been coming on at every startup, with a passenger in seat. Have to stop, turn ignition off & back on, and usually resets after 7 second wait. No amount of waiting resets it. Dealer said switch in seat is defective, requires seat replacement at our cost, yet problem is most likely NOTP in seat, IS in controller, as evidenced by ability to reset via ignition).

CAR SEEM FINE AT FIRST, BUT WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY IT BEGAN TO MAKE STRANGE NOISES. IT HASTED A LITTLE AT THE RED LIGHT. ONCE I REACHED HOME AND PULLED INTO THE DRIVEWAY, CAR CUT OFF, I RESTARTED THE CAR IT DID MOVE WHEN IN DRIVE OR IN REVERSED.
2013 NISSAN ROGUE HAS ACCELERATION PROBLEMS WHEN DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE. IT WON'T ACCELERATE AND SOMETIMES STALLS OUT. IT ONLY HAPPENS WHEN DRIVING LONG PERIODS OF TIME OR WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE UP A HILL.
WE WERE TRAVELING DOWN I 65 IN KENTUCKY AT INTERSTATE SPEED WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAR JUST LOST POWER. THE CAR WOULD BARELY GO 40MPH. WE WERE ONLY A FEW MILES FROM HOME SO WE LIMPED THE CAR HOME. I JUST PURCHASED THE CAR ON THE 18TH 2 DAYS BEFORE. THE PROBLEM IS THE CVT TRANSMISSION BUT THE DEALERSHIP REFUSES TO ADMIT THAT IS WHAT'S WRONG. GILLIE HYDE IN GLASGOW KY. I'M A PARALYZED ARMY VET AND LIVE ON A FIXED INCOME AND I CANNOT AFFORD TO REPAIR THE CAR. NISSAN KNEW THE PROBLEMS WITH THE CVT TRANSMISSIONS BUT CHOSE TO CONTINUE MANUFACTURING THE 2013 ROGUE KNOWING THE HAZARDOUS TRANSMISSION AND HOW IT COULD CAUSE ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS.

DRIVING ON I4 IN FLORIDA MY CAR WENT FROM 70MPH TO 30 IN LESS THAN 1MIN WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY SD IT WAS A CRACKED FILTER AND FIXED IT 4MOS LATER I WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY GOT OFF THE EXIT AND STOPPED AT TRAFFIC LIGHT WHEN LIGHT CHANGED HIT GAS PEDAL AND THE CAR WILL NOT MOVE I PUMP IT AND THEN IT STARTED GOING BUT VERY SLUGGISH TIL IT PICKED UP SPEED .THIS PAST FRIDAY THE SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED AGAIN. I'M VERY GOOD ON KEEPING MY CAR TUNED UP TAKING CARE OF MAINTENANCE ON THE CAR AT THE TIME IT CORRESPONDS SO I'M BAFFLE AS TO WHY THIS IS HAPPENING. I DON'T ABUSE MY CAR . NO LIGHTS COME UP IN THE PANEL INDICATING A PROBLEM. A FEW DIFFERENT MECHANICS HAVE CHECKED THE CAR AND CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. VEHICLE LOSES POWER ON OCCASION AFTER BEING DRIVEN FOR MORE THAN A HALF AN HOUR
WHEN DRIVING MY 2013 NISSAN ROGUE FURTHER THAN 30 MILES GOING SPEEDS OF 60MPH OR GREATER THE RPMS RACE OUT OF CONTROL, THE CAR DANGEROUSLY REDUCES SPEEDS ON FREEWAY EVEN WHILE THE ACCELERATOR IS STILL PRESSED. I HAVE TO TURN OFF CAR ON THE SIDE OF THE FREEWAY FOR 10-15 MINS BEFORE TRYING TO DRIVE AGAIN, ONLY TO HAVE THE SPEEDS REDUCE AND RPMS RACE OUT OF CONTROL AGAIN. IF YOU ARE TRYING TO GO UP HILL FOR A SHORT DISTANCES OR GO UP HILL ON ENTRANCES RAMPS, EXIT RAMPS, OR UP HILL ON BRIDGES THERE IS THE SAME LAG IN TRANSMISSION. THE RPMS RACE OUT OF CONTROL AND ROGUE DANGEROUSLY REDUCES SPEEDS. THERE IS ALSO A LOUD WHINING NOISE WHEN YOU PRESS ACCELERATOR BEYOND 60MPH OR GOING UP HILLS, RAMPS, OR BRIDGES. I'M FRUSTRATED WITH NISSAN THEY KNOW ABOUT THIS ISSUES WITH THIS MODEL 2013 NISSAN ROGUE. THEY'VE EVEN EXTENDED THE TRANSMISSION WARRANTY FOR 2008-2010 WITH THE SAME ISSUE JUST UNDER A DIFFERENT NAME. THEY ALSO ACKNOWLEDGE ITS A PROBLEM FOR MODELS 2008-2013 THROUGH THERE 2015 NISSAN SERVICE BULLETIN. MY FRUSTRATION IS NISSAN WANTS ME TO PAY THOUSANDS FOR A KNOWN PROBLEMATIC SAFETY ISSUE WITH THESE MODELS AND YEARS. BUT REFUSE TO DO SO. IF THEY CAN EXTEND THE CVT TRANSMISSION WARRANTY FOR THE 2008-2010 THEY SHOULD ALSO EXTEND THE CTV WARRANTY FOR THE 2013 MODEL THAT'S HAVING THE SAME ISSUES WITH THE CVT SENSOR AND VALVE. I'VE ONLY HAD MY 2013 ROGUE SINCE 08/2019. THE ROGUE WAS 'FIXED' ONCE BUT ALL WAS DONE IS TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS CHANGED IN 08/2019. NOW IT'S ONE YEAR LATER AND SAME EXACT ISSUES ARE OCCURRING AND THEY ARE REFUSING TO FIX AGAIN AS A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.
I DID A RESEARCH ON THE 2013 NISSAN ROGUE. 2YRS AGO ON THE SAME TRUCK.WELL ANYWAY I DIDN'T THINK I WOULD HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH MY TRUCK UNTIL NOW. THE TRANSMISSION HAS NOW FAILED IN MY TRUCK. ITS HAS STALLED ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET AND HIGHWAY WHICH IS A DANGER TO ME AND OTHER CARS ON THE STREET. THE ELECTRICAL IN THE TRUCK WHEN TRYING TO DRIVE OVER THE SPEED LIMIT OR NOT THE TRUCK WILL START TO OVERHEAT AND SHUT DOWN ON ME IN THE STREET. THEN I WOULD HAVE TO SEAT AND WAIT AROUND AN HALF HOUR TO AN HOUR. I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS FOR AWHILE BUT DIDN'T EXPECT IT TO GET THIS BAD.
THE TRANSMISSION "STALLED" STOPPED OPERATING AS I WAS AT 55 MPH, AT THE END OF A STEEP UPHILL ONRAMP MERGING ONTO HWY 395 FROM HWY 70 IN EASTERN CALIFORNIA. NO WARNING LIGHTS ON DASH SHOWED. ALMOST GOT RAN OVER BY A LARGE TRUCK. I MANAGED TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE HWY. AFTER RESTING THERE FOR 20 MINUTES OR SO, THE TRANSMISSION WORKED PARTIALLY AND I LIMPED IT INTO RENO WITH THE FLASHERS ON. THE NISSAN MECHANIC IN RENO TOLD ME "THEY DO THAT WHEN THEY GET TOO HOT." THIS IS DANGEROUS.
DURING SMALL FRONT COLLISION AT 15 MPH SIDE PASSENGER SIDE DEPLOYED WITH NO PASSENGER OR HIT FROM THAT SIDE
THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT SHIFT PROPERLY. THE CAR LOSSES POWER ON THE HIGHWAY AND STREETS. LOSS OF ACCELERATION AND OR POWER. WHILE DRIVING THE CAR DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY AND IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AS IS.
