I WAS DRIVING UP HILL AND PRESSED THE BRAKES TO TURN RIGHT, AND THE BRAKES DIDN'T CAME UP, THE CAR CAME TO HALT AND THEN STARTED ROLLING BACK WARDS. NOW I TRIED TO PUT THE BRAKES BUT ITS STUCKED, I PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR IT DIDN'T RESPONDED. SOON WITHING 4-5 SEC THE CAR PICKS UP SPEED, I CHANGED THE MODE TO PARKING, NOTHING HAPPENED. IT ROLLED DOWN AND FELL INTO A DITCH. NOTHING SERIOUSLY DAMAGED. BUT I AM SCARED TO DRIVE THAT CAR AGAIN. WHEN THE CAR WAS PULLED FROM THE DITCH THE BRAKES WERE STILL ON. I POINTED THAT OUT TO THE POLICE. THIS IS A NEW CAR JUST 2 MONTHS OLD. DIDN'T EXPECT THAT FROM NISSAN
TEERING WHEEL VIBRATES AT SPEEDS 25-55 MPH. MOST OF THE VIBRATION WILL STOP IF I DRIVE IN THE SPORT MODE. HAVE BACK TO DEALER THREE TIMES, BUT NO LUCK. THEY SAID OTHER 2015 ROGUE SHOW THE SAME PROBLEM, THERE IS NO TBS ISSUED YET, SO THEY BASICALLY DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. TWO DIFFERENT DEALERS FELT THE VIBRATIONS. YOU CAN ALMOST HEAR A LIKE A HARMONIC NOISE WHEN THIS HAPPENS. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN AND AM WAITING FOR A RESOLUTION OR SOMETHING. I ASKED NISSAN TO FIND A ROGUE THAT DOESN'T VIBRATE OR GET OUT OF MY LEASE WITH MY MONEY BACK.
VEHICLE SIDE WINDOW GLASS RATTLES AND SHAKES WHEN WINDOWS ARE PARTIALLY OPEN. THEY ARE NOT SECURED PROPERLY INTO DOOR FRAME. COULD LEAD TO WINDOW BREAKING OR EXPLODING AT SPEED, CAUSING HEAVY DISTRACTION AND POTENTIAL ACCIDENT. RATTLE VARIES BETWEEN WINDOWS (IN MY VEHICLE, DRIVERS WINDOW IS WORST), SO IT LOOKS LIKE A VARIANCE IN PRODUCTION OF VEHICLE. THE HIGHER THE SPEED, THE MORE THE WINDOW SHAKES.
2015 NISSAN ROGUE HAS GLARE/REFLECTION FROM INTERIOR DASH & VENT PLATE COVERS REFLECTING IN SIDE MIRRORS & WINDOWS CAUSING POOR VISIBILITY. INTERIOR IS DARK GREY WITH SHINY CHROME FIXTURES WHICH REFLECTS IN SIDE MIRRORS CAUSING DISTRACTION, HAZARDOUS SAFETY ISSUE. DAYTIME CAN SEE REFLECTION OF DRIVER IN WINDOW. NIGHTTIME THE DASH PANEL WITH IT'S LIGHTS GLARE OUTSIDE DRIVER WINDOW BLOCKING SIDE MIRROR VIEW OF TRAFFIC VISIBILITY. SITUATION IS ANNOYING & A SAFETY CONCERN. NISSAN DEALERSHIP REFUSES TO HELP CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. THIS IS A NEW VEHICLE (PURCHASED ON 9/16/15) & NISSAN SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DRIVER SAFETY.
WHEN SITTING IN RUNNING VEHICLE AT DRIVE-UP LOCATIONS SUCH AS FAST-FOOD RESTAURANTS, BANK, OR ATM, A VIOLENT STATIC SHOCK DISCHARGES WHEN UPON FIRST TOUCH OF A METAL SURFACE OR WHEN MAKING PHYSICAL CONTACT WITH THE WINDOW ATTENDANT. THIS IS A STRONG, AUDIBLE SHOCK THAT CAN BE PAINFUL FOR UP TO 10 MINUTES. THE OTHER PERSON USUALLY EXCLAIMS ALOUD AND RECOILS. DEALER HAS CHECKED ALL ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS AND HAS TRIED ANTI-STATIC SPRAY ON SEATS WITH NO RESULTS. THIS IS NOT A RESULT OF MY PERSONAL CHEMISTRY, AS I HAVE NO PROBLEMS IN MY OTHER TWO VEHICLES. THIS PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED EVER SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NEW, AND HAPPENS 100% OF THE TIME. THE ROGUE ONLY HAS 21,000 MILES NOW (SEPT 2017).
I WAS DRIVING DOWN WATT AVE. TOWARD FOLSOM BLVD IN SACAMENTO, CA. ALL OF A SUDDEN MY LEFT REAR TIRE WAS FLAT. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER IN A PARKING LOT AND CALLED ROADSIDE SERVICE. THE PERSON WHO CHANGED THE TIRE INSPECTED IT AND TOLD ME THERE WAS NO PUNCTURE AND THAT IT JUST BLEW -TEAR ON THE SIDEWALL. AMERICA'S TIRE STORE INSPECTED IT AND COULD FIND NO OBJECTS IN OR OUTSIDE THE TIRE. ATS HAS TAKEN PICTURES AND I HAVE ALSO. THEY SENT THE PICTURES TO HANKOOK TO ASK FOR A CREDIT AND, TO DATE, WE HAVE HEARD NOTHING FROM THEM. I HAVE PICTURES THAT CLEARLY SHOW THE TEAR AND ATS TOOK PICTURES OF THE INSIDE AS WELL. I WAS PRESENT WHEN THEY REMOVED AND INSPECTED THE TIRE AND NOTHING WAS FOUND. I BELIEVE THE TIRE IS DEFECTIVE AND NOW I'M AFRAID THE OTHER TIRES ARE ALSO. I HAVE REPLACED THE BACK TIRES WITH MICHELIN AND PLAN TO REPLACE THE FRONT TIRES SOON. ATS HAS THE DEFECTIVE TIRE AT THEIR SHOP AT 2256 ARDEN WAY, SACRAMENTO, CA. I ALSO HAVE THE STATEMENT FROM THE MAN WHO CHANGED THE TIRE.
THE SEAT BELT BUCKLE WHEN PRESSED WAS NOT RELEASING THE SEAT BELT FOR THE SECOND ROW LEFT SEAT PASSENGER (BEHIND THE DRIVER'S SEAT). WE SPENT ONE HOUR PLUS TO RELEASE THE PASSENGER AS WE SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP BUT THE RESOLUTION WAS TO CUT THE SEAT BELT TO FREE THE PASSENGER.
AFTER PARKING ON A STEEP INCLINE, I SET THE PARKING BRAKE BY PUSHING THE PARKING BRAKE PEDAL. THE BRAKE WAS SET. UPON RETURNING TO VEHICLE, I STARTED VEHICLE, PLACED IN DRIVE, ATTEMPTED TO RELEASE PARKING BRAKE. I WAS UNAWARE OF HOW TO RELEASE BRAKE.(PREVIOUS AND POST YEAR ROGUES STATE ON THE PARKING BRAKE PEDAL "PUSH ON PUSH OFF". MY CAR HAD A PLAIN BLACK PEDAL WITH NO INSCRIPTION). WHILE ATTEMPTING TO FIND THE PARKING BRAKE RELEASE, I ACCIDENTALLY PULLED THE LEVER TO OPEN THE HOOD WITCH IS LOCATED IN THE AREA OF MY PARKING BRAKE RELEASE OF MY DODGE. I GOT OUT TO CLOSE HOOD LEAVING THE CAR IN DRIVE. UPON RETURNING TO DRIVERS SEAT MY RIGHT FOOT TOUCHED THE PARKING BRAKE PEDAL, RELEASING BRAKE AND THE CAR SPED DOWNHILL WITH 2 PASSENGERS ABOARD AND DRAGGING ME OUTSIDE THE CAR REACHING APP. 35 MPH BEFORE CRASHING INTO TREE. HAD THE PARKING BRAKE PEDAL BEEN INSCRIBED "PUSH ON PUSH OFF", AS IN PREVIOUS AND POST YEARS OF THE SAME MODEL CAR I WOULD HAVE SEEN HOW TO RELEASE PARKING BRAKE. I HAVE PHOTOS OF DIFFERENT YEARS 2011 THRU 2014 OF THIS MODEL SHOWING "PUSH ON PUSH OFF" AND VIDEO OF MY 2015 NISSAN ROGUE SV (TOP OF THE LINE MODEL) WITH A PLAIN "NO INSCRIPTION" RUBBER PARKING BRAKE PEDAL. THERE ARE NO OTHER INSTRUCTIONS ANYWHERE IN THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR THAT STATE HOW TO RELEASE PARKING BRAKE. THE OWNERS MANUAL DOES STATE HOW TO RELEASE BRAKE.

TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF HAVING THE CAR. THEY ALSO ADJUST IDLE SPEED WITHIN A MONTH OF HAVING THE CAR AND ALSO HAD ISSUES WITH POWER SOCKETS. CAR MAKES RATTLE NOISE WHEN ACCELERATING AND MAKE LESS GAS MILAGE THAN AVERAGE . THEY HAD REPROGRAMMED THE TCM ALREADY. THEY ALSO CHANGED THE SHIFTER . THEY HAD ADJUST BOTH FRONT BRAKE BACKING PLATES. I WON'T RECOGNIZE THE SMART KEY SOMETIMES. THEY REPLACED ONE HEADLIGHT ALREADY. IT HAS SEVERAL RECALLS.
THE CAR BLIND SIDE WARNING WILL CONTINUE TO GO OFF EVEN THEN THERE AREN'T ANY CARS AROUND. THIS CAUSES MORE OF A DISTRACTION THAN A SAFETY FEATURE. THIS WAS BROUGHT TO THE DEALERS ATTENTION 3 TIME WITHIN THE FIRST 2 YEARS OF OWNING THE CAR. THE ISSUE HAS CONTINUED TO GET WORSE. THE DEALER SHIP STATES THEY FIXED THE ISSUE, HOWEVER IT IS HAPPENING MORE OFTEN THAN IT EVER HAS. BROUGHT THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY ADVISED THEY SEE THAT THERE IS DIRT/DEBRE ON THE CAMERA BUT THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT THIS TO FIX IT. THE BLIND SIDE LIGHTS GO OFF IN RAIN, SHINE, SNOW AND WHEN NO ONE IS AROUND.
THE AIR BAG LIGHT SOMETIMES SAYS ON SHOWING IT IS OFF EVEN WITH MY WIFE SEATING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. IT DOES NOT HAPPEN ALL THE TIME BUT EVERY SO OFTEN. THE RECALL HAS BEEN DONE ON IT BUT STILL HAPPENS EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE. I HAVE HAD IT AT TWO DIFFERENT DEALERS BUT THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. IT HAS BEEN REPROGRAMMED THREE TIMES TO CHECK IT OUT AND ALWAYS CHECKS OUT OK. MY WIFE WEIGHTS 170 POUNDS SO IT IS NOT A WEIGHT PROBLEM. ONE DEALER SAYS THAT IS WORKING FINE AND WHEN IT HAPPENS JUST SHUT CAR DOWN AND RESTART. WHAT ABOUT THE TIMES WE MAY NOT NOTICE THAT IT IS ON AND HAVE AN ACCIDENT AND HAVE NO AIR BAG PROTECTION IS WHAT I TOLD HIM AND NO ANSWER FROM HIM. ANOTHER DEALER JUST SAID IT CHECKS OUT OK AND NOTHING ELSE WE CAN DO. I CALLED ANOTHER DEALER WHICH SAID THAT THE AIR BAGS ARE SET FOR 160 POUNDS PER THE NHSTA REGULATIONS SO WE ARE TOO CLOSE TO THE LIMIT. I CALLED NISSAN CUSTOMER SERVICE AND GOT SOMEONE WHO SAID YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALER TO HAVE IT CHECKED AGAIN. I WILL DO IT BUT IT WILL CHECK OUT OK AS ALWAYS. MY DAUGHTER HAS A 2014 NISSAN ROUGE SV AND IT HAS ALSO HAPPENED TO HER TOO. WHEN WE NOTICE THE LIGHT ON MOST OF THE TIME IT WAS ALWAYS IN MOTION BUT ALSO RIGHT AFTER SHE SAT IN THE SEAT BEFORE WE STARTED DRIVING AND THEN STILL STAYED ON WHEN WE DROVE AWAY. FROM WHAT I READ ON LINE THEIR IS LOTS OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM THEY CANT SEEM TO GET FIXED BY THE DEALER OR NISSAN THEMSELVES NOT HELPING THEM EITHER. IT STARTED ABOUT THE MIDDLE OF 2015 AND DEALERS WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT UNTIL THE RECALL CAME OUT. WE NOW HAVE 39000 MILES AND TODAYS DATE OF 05/9/2017 AND STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM.
6/13/2015 -THE KEY COULD NOT BE REMOVED FROM THE NEW LEASED . AFTER 10 MINUTES OF STARTING AND STOPPING, THE KEY WAS ABLE TO BE REMOVED. VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN APPROXIMATELY 36 MILES. 6/15/2015 - THE KEY COULD NOT BE REMOVED FROM NEW VEHICLE A SECOND TIME. AFTER ATTEMPTING FOR OVER ONE HOUR, I CONTACTED THE NISSAN SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND WAS TOLD TO BRING THE CAR IN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THERE WAS NO WAY TO GET THE KEY OUT IN THE MEANTIME. 6/16/2015 - CONTACTED BY NISSAN SERVICE. THE KEY HAS YET TO BE REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION AND THEY ARE STILL TRYING TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE. THE CAR'S MILEAGE AT THIS POINT IS APPROXIMATELY 56 MILES.
THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE DOORS DO NOT UNLOCK UNTIL YOU PRESS THE ENGINE STOP BUTTON. THEN ALL THE DOORS UNLOCK, NOT JUST THE DRIVER'S DOOR. THAT MAKES IT VERY EASY FOR CAR JACKERS, PURSE SNATCHERS, AND CHILD ABDUCTORS TO WAIT AT A GAS STATION FOR YOU TO PULL UP, TURN OFF YOUR ENGINE SO YOU CAN GET OUT, AND COMMIT THEIR CRIME WHEN ALL THE DOORS UNLOCK. OBVIOUSLY THE SAME WOULD BE TRUE IF FOR SOME REASON YOU WERE PULLING INTO A SHOPPING MALL OR GROCERY STORE PARKING LOT. THERE IS A METHOD TO REVERSE THE OPERATION SO NO DOORS UNLOCK WHEN YOU TURN OFF THE ENGINE AND THIS IS SAFER, EXCEPT:..THE DRIVER'S DOOR LOCK AND FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LOCK ARE NOT MECHANICALLY CONNECTED THE THE DOOR HANDLE. IE, IF YOU DISABLE THE AUTO DOOR UNLOCK, YOU CANNOT OPEN THE DRIVER'S DOOR IN AN EMERGENCY -- LIKE A CAR FIRE, HEART ATTACK, ACCIDENT -- UNLESS YOU CAN FIND AND RELEASE THE DOOR LOCK WHICH HAS BEEN "AESTHETICALLY" HIDDEN IN THE DOOR AND DESIGNED SO IT IS NOT EASILY OPENED -- I ASSUME TO PREVENT SOMEONE FROM USING A WIRE TO UNLOCK THE DOOR. THIS IS THE FIRST VEHICLE I HAVE EVER DRIVEN THAT THE DRIVER (AND FRONT SEAT PASSENGER) CANNOT EXIT WITHOUT MANUALLY FINDING AND FLIPPING THE DOOR LOCK. HOW INSANE IS THAT? ... I MENTIONED THAT NONE OF MY AMERICAN CARS HAD THIS PROBLEM AND THE MECHANIC I WAS TALKING TO SAID IT WAS ONLY A NISSAN THING. NO OTHER CAR THAT HE KNOWS OF WILL NOT LET THE DRIVER EXIT THE CAR BY PULLING THE DOOR HANDLE...HIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND YOU TRULY HAVE VERY LITTLE CONTROL OVER YOUR OWN SECURITY IN THIS VEHICLE. ANY PERSON WITH ANY KIND OF EVEN MINOR HAND DISABILITY, LIKE ARTHRITIS, WOULD HAVE A VERY HARD TIME UNLOCKING THE CAR DOORS. THE TRULY CRAZY THING IS THAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT, MAYBE, 5-10 CENTS OF CLOTHES HANGER-TYPE WIRE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM AND POTENTIALLY SAVE PEOPLE'S LIVES. The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle was stalling and losing motive power. The contact stated that after turning off the vehicle, she was able to restart the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact made the local dealers aware of the failures when the vehicle was previously taken for routine oil changes; however, the vehicle had not yet been diagnosed or repaired. The VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V093000 (Electrical System). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 70, THE CONTACT HEARD AN EXPLOSIVE BANGING SOUND. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER AND OBSERVED THAT THE SUN ROOF SHATTERED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 9,200.
TRAVELING ON HIGHWAY ABOUT 60 MPH WHEN A SEMI PASSED US GOING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. AFTER HE PASSED THERE WAS A LOUD EXPLOSION. WE HAD NO IDEA WHAT HAD HAPPENED. WE DISCOVERED THAT THE SUNROOF WAS COMPLETELY SHATTERED AND GLASS WAS EVERYWHERE. LUCKILY WE HAD THE INSIDE ROOF COVER CLOSED OR WE WOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED WITH GLASS. WE THOUGHT A ROCK HAD BEEN KICKED UP BY THE SEMI BUT NO ROCK WAS FOUND. WE HAD PURCHASED OUR VEHICLE ON MAY 14, 2015 AND THIS HAPPENED EXACTLY ONE WEEK LATER ON MAY 21, 2015. TOTAL COST OF REPLACING SUNROOF WAS $1914.07. WE WERE STILL UNDER ASSUMPTION THAT IT WAS A ROCK THAT CAUSED THE DAMAGE UNTIL WE SAW THE WORLD NEWS REPORT ON EXPLODING SUNROOFS. THIS MATCHED OUR INCIDENT TO THE TEE.
GEAR SHIFT LOCKED, WOULD ONLY GO INTO DRIVE OR NEUTRAL
SHIFT GEAR WAS LOCKED, IT WOULD MOVED FROM DRIVE TO NEUTRAL AND NEUTRAL TO DRIVE ONLY.
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle failed to properly accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact stated that on several occasions, without warning the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the transmission was faulty and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that over the years the transmission continued to fail and had been replaced on three separate occasions. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 65,000.
1)WHEN USE DEFROST SYSTEM WINDOW STAYS MOIST AND DOES NOT CLEAR UNTIL 30-60 MINS CAUSING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE. 2)FRONT DRIVER'S SEAT AND PASSENGER'S SEAT IS TOO CLOSE TO CONSOLE AND SCRUBS AGAINST CENTER CONSOLE WHEN MOVING SEAT BACK AND FORTH. 3)VEHICLE SMELLS OF ANTI-FREEZE WHEN ENTERS VEHICLE. ALSO FOR AUTO TO BE A 4-CYLINDER IT BURNS GAS QUICKLY. BECAUSE THE CENTER GEAR DOES NOT LOCK, IT'S TOO EASY TO MISTAKENLY KNOCK GEAR OUT OF MODE WHILE DRIVING I.E. GOES FROM DRIVE TO LOW OR NEUTRAL WITHOUT EFFORT. ALSO JUST GOT AN OIL CHANGE AT 10,000 MILES, CAR HAS ABOUT 11,000 MILES AND COMPUTER ALERTING ME THAT NEED OIL CHANGE. I WILL BE BRINGING VEHICLE TO NISSAN OF GARDEN CITY SERVICE DEPT ON WED 8/26/15 AND WILL REQUEST A COMPLETE THOROUGH DIAGNOSTIC OF VEHICLE AND WILL BE PREPARED TO LEAVE VEHICLE UNTIL EVERY THING IS CORRECTED IN EXCHANGE FOR A LOANER VEHICLE.
THE FORWARD COLLISION WARNING SYSTEM (FCW) DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. I HAVE ROAD TESTED IT BY DRIVING UP TO ANOTHER VEHICLE TO WITHIN WHAT I WOULD CONSIDER A UNSAFE DISTANCE WITHOUT GETTING A WARNING SIGNAL. NISSAN SAYS THE SYSTEM IS WORKING BUT WILL NOT ROAD TEST IT BECAUSE IT MIGHT POSE A POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD. (CATCH 22).
DRIVING A NORMAL FOUR LANE ROAD ABOUT 25 MPH AFTER STOPPING AT A RED LIGHT. A/C ON. WINDOWS CLOSED. SUN ROOF EXPLODED UP AND OUT LIKE THE CAB HAD TO MUCH PRESSURE, ALMOST LIKE A BALLOON. NOTHING HIT IT FROM OUTSIDE OR INSIDE. TEMP. OUTSIDE WAS 85C. *TR
MY NISSAN ROGUE HAS A VIBRATION ISSUE THAT IS NOTICEABLE WHEN THE CAR IS RESTING AT A RED LIGHT, AND WHILE DRIVING. YOU CAN SEE THE PASSENGER CHAIR VIBRATING AND THE DASHBARD IS NOTICEABLE WHEN MY GPS UNIT IS MOUNTED ONTO IT. I TOOK IT TO BAYRIDGE NISSAN INC, IN BROOKLYN, NY -THIS IS THE DEALER THAT I PURCHASED ROGUE FROM , DON'T KNOW IF THIS PROBLEM IS A SAFETY DEFECT . DEALERSHIP SAYS NO FIX FOR IT.
MY CAR IS HAVING VERY BAD VIBRATION. IT IS THERE SINCE I BROUGHT THE CAR AND I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER 4 TIMES COMPLAINING THE ISSUE AND THE DEALER SAYS THAT THEY CANNOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. WHEN I SHOWED THE PROBLEM TO THE NISSAN MECHANIC THEY SAID THAT IT IS NORMAL WITH NISSAN AND NISSAN DOSEN'T HAVE A FIX FOR IT. THE CURRENT MILEAGE OF MY CAR IS 11200 AND THE VIBRATION INCREASES DURING THE WINTER AND WHEN THE HEAT OR AC IS POWERED ON. I AM WORRIED ABOUT THIS BECAUSE TOO MUCH VIBRATION CAN LEAD TO LOOSENING OF PARTS THAT MIGHT RESULT IN ACCIDENT OR ENGINE FAILURE. 2015 HONDA CRV HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM HAS ISSUED A RECALL FOR THE ISSUE AND IT IS CLEAR THAT THIS IS SOMETHING THAT CAN BE FIXED, AND NISSAN DOSEN'T WANT TO LOOSE MONEY BY CREATING A RECALL FOR THIS FIX. THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH ALL THE NISSAN ROGUES. MANY PEOPLE DIDN'T NOTICE THIS AND SOME THINK THIS IS NORMAL WITH THE CAR AS THEY HAVE NOT OWNED ANOTHER NEW CAR BEFORE. THIS ANNOYING AS WELL AS SAFETY ISSUE HAS TO BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION AND PROVIDE A RECALL FOR ALL THE OWNERS OF THE NISSAN ROGUE. AFTER RESEARCHING FOR 2 YEARS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS THE CAUSE FOR ALL OTHER SAFETY PROBLEMS CONCERNED WITH THIS CAR.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DESTINATION NISSAN (770 CENTRAL AVE, ALBANY, NY); HOWEVER, THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.
VEHICLE STALLS EVERYDAY EVER SINCE WE FIRST PURCHASED THE CAR IN FEBRUAR 2015. IT STALLS WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT AND WHILE DRIVING WITHOUT ANY WARNING. THE ENGINE WARNING SIGNAL COMES ON AFTER THE STALL. I BROUGHT MY CAR TO 2 DIFFERENT SERVICE LOCATIONS (PUENTE HILLS NISSAN AND IMPERIO NISSAN IN IRVINE) BUT FAILED TO DETECT THE PROBLEM. THERE HAS BEEN A RUBBING NOISE ON THE FRONT & REAR OF THE VEHICLE EVERY TIME YOU GO OVER A BUMP. NO MATTER HOW SMALL A BUMP. IT FEELS LIKE THE SUSPENSION OR SHOCKS ARE RUBBING. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW.
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

AFTER USING IT FOR A FEW MONTHS, I HAVE FOUND THAT THE DESIGN OF THE ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM OF THIRD ROW SEAT IS SUCH THAT IT CAN CAUSE/AGGRAVATE BACK PAIN RESULTING FROM A REGULAR USE OF THE STRAP PULL/PUSH PROVIDED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 500.
WIFE WAS DRIVING CAR AND APPLIED BRAKES. THEY DIDN'T WORK RIGHT AS THE CAR DID NOT SLOW AS IT SHOULD HAVE. REAR ENDED A CAR THAT WAS STOPPED AT LIGHT. ASSURED ME 100% THAT SHE WAS APPLYING BRAKES AND THAT SHE WASN'T TEXTING OR LOOKING AT PHONE. ACCIDENT OCCURRED AT OR AROUND 25 MPH INTO STOPPED CAR. CLEAN HIT DIRECTLY FRONT END TO REAR END. EVERYONE WALKED AWAY SORE BUT RELATIVELY UNSCATHED. CARS LEFT VIA TOW TRUCKS. NEXT DAY WIFE WAS COMPLAINING OF SPOTS IN EYE AND DIZZY. WENT TO ER. NOTHING WRONG SUPPOSEDLY. 16.5K DAMAGE TO CAR. 2 DAYS AFTER THE ACCIDENT SHE HAD A STROKE. DOCTORS SAY IT WAS BECAUSE OF HEAD WHIP DUE TO IMPACT. AIRBAGS/SEATBELTS WORKED AS ADVERTISED BUT THE HEAD WHIPPED AND CAUSE A DISSECTION OF RIGHT CAROTID ARTERY. CAUSE A CLOT THAT WAS RELEASED AND CREATED A STROKE ON RIGHT SIDE OF BRAIN. LOST ALL FUNCTION ON LEFT SIDE, COULD NOT WALK, SPEECH SLURRED, NO MOVEMENT ON LEFT SIDE AT ALL. BEEN IN HOSPITAL SINCE DEC 8. AMBULANCE TO ER. AIR AMBULANCE TO ANOTHER HOSPITAL. ICU FOR 2 WEEKS, REHAB HOSPITAL FOR OVER A MONTH. LUCKILY MY WIFE LIVED, BUT RIGHT NOW SHE IS LEARNING HOW TO DO EVERYTHING ALL OVER AGAIN. *TR
THE CAR REVS UP TO 5 RPMS AT 60MPH LIKE ITS STUCK IN NEUTRAL. NEED TO TAKE THE FOOT OFF THE GAS GET DOWN TO 50MPH AND WAS ABLE TO GET IT BACK UP TO 65MPH. I DID THIS IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. I WAS AFRAID THE PERSON BEHIND WAS GOING TO HIT TO CHANGE SPEEDS SO FAST. NISSAN LOOKED AT THE CAR TODAY AND SAID THERE WASN'T AN ISSUE AND I NEEDED TO DO THAT TO LET THE TRANSMISSION CATCH UP. NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING. MY LAST NISSAN AT 98K DIED BECAUSE OF THE TRANSMISSION. BEFORE IT DIED IT WAS DOING THE SAME THING. *TR
THERE IS A VIBRATION NOTICEABLE IN THE FLOOR, PEDALS AND STEERING WHEEL AT AROUND 1250 ENGINE RPM WHENEVER THE CAR SPEED IS STEADY. IT CORRESPONDS TO ABOUT 45-50 MPH WHEN DRIVING IN ECO MODE. IT HAPPENS WHILE CRUISING AT STEADY SPEEDS ON STRAIGHT OR CURVED ROADS. I HAVE COMPLAINED TWO OR MORE TIMES TO THE DEALER AND NISSAN USA AND THE ONLY REPLY I HAVE RECEIVED IS THAT IT IS NORMAL FOR THAT MODEL. OTHER OWNERS HAVE REPORTED THIS PROBLEM ON INTERNET FORUMS. I AM AFRAID THIS VIBRATION WILL AFFECT THE LONG TERM RELIABILITY OF THIS CAR.
