I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE DOING ABOUT 70 MPH. THE CAR STARTED DECELERATING. EACH TIME I PRESSED ON THE BREAKS IT WOULD NOT GO ANY FASTER THAN 40 MPH. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS NEVER CAME ON UNTIL I REACHED THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THEM TAKE A LOOK AT THE CAR. NISSAN WESLEY CHAPEL ADVISED ME I NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION.
THE VEHICLE WAS RECENTLY INVOLVED IN TWO SEPARATE ACCIDENTS INVOLVING THE VECHILE SUDDENLY ACCELERATING IN REVERSE . THE FIRST INCIDENT THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK AND AFTER REVERSE WAS ENGAGED THE A LOUD WHISTLING SOUND WAS HEARD AND THE VEHICLE AT FULL THROTTLE EXCELERATED IN REVERSE.

A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN REPAIRED BUT 3 MONTHS LATER, THE FAILURE STILL OCCURRED. THE CONTACT STATED NO WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO STAR NISSAN (20602 NORTHERN BLVD, QUEENS, NY 11361) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH NOTHING NEEDING TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT WANTED A SECOND OPINION AND TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS ALSO DIAGNOSED WITH NOTHING NEEDING TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THEY COULD NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 25,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
