IF THIS FEEDBACK GOES TO MAIN CORPORATE I WILL BE GLAD TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCE.I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET A BETTER SERVICE FROM NISSAN. BOUGHT MY NEW NISSAN 2017 ON DECEMBER 29TH 2017 AND I HAVE BEEN TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT SEVERAL TIME IN 2018 AND 2019 AND FOR A PROOF YOU GUYS CAN ACCESS THE REPAIR LOG. EVERY TIME THEY HAVE BEEN CHANGING PARTS AND I FEEL THAT THIS CAR IS HAS RECALL OR THEY HAVE SOLD ME THE WORST DEFECTIVE ONE. AFTER TALKING TO WARRANTY DEPARTMENT AS IT HAS BEEN 14000 MILES SERVICE DUE, REQUESTED THEM ALSO TO PROVIDE APPRAISAL. IT WAS DEVASTATING AND UPSETTING ON TALKING TO THE SALES DIRECTOR HE HAS APPRAISED MY CAR $17000 , AS I HAVE PAID $31000 LESS THAN 15K MILES ASKED HIM HOW COME THAT UPSETTING PRICE. HE TOLD ME THATS WHAT THEY CAN OFFER. LEARNED LESSON THAT NISSAN CARS ARE THE WORST AND THEY HAVE NO VALUE EVEN THOUGH THE CAR IS BRAND NEW LESS THAN A YEAR MODEL. NEVER EVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE
MY DAUGHTER LEASED A 2017 NISSAN ROGUE SV AWD AND ON A LEAST 2 OCCASIONS (11/17 & 2/19) THE AEB (AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING) SYSTEM SUDDENLY ACTIVATED ON ITS OWN FOR NO APPARENT REASON AS THERE WAS NO VEHICLE OR OTHER OBSTRUCTION IN FRONT. THIS HAPPENED AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS BUT THANK GOD NO ACCIDENT OCCURRED. WE HAVE LOST ALL CONFIDENCE IN THE VEHICLE AND LOOK FORWARD TO TURNING IT IN. ATTEMPTS TO RETURN THE VEHICLE EARLY (9 MONTHS REMAINING ON LEASE) TO NISSAN WERE MET WITH CONSTANT COMMENTS TO RETURN TO THE DEALERSHIP TO REPAIR THE ISSUE. NISSAN GAVE NO VALUE AND EXPRESSED NO COMPASSION WHEN INFORMED OF THE TRAUMA THE SUDDEN AND UNEXPECTED STOPS CAUSED US. JUST THINK ABOUT IT TOTAL LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL ON THE HIGHWAY.
ON JANUARY 13 (ABOUT 29000 MILES) WHILE DRIVING UP AN ON RAMP OFF OF THE HIGHWAY THE VEHICLE STARTED TO SPUTTER AND HESITATE. PULLED OFF AND PUT VEHICLE IN PARK AND ENGINE CONTINUED TO SPUTTER A FEW SECONDS THEN DIE. TRIED TO START UP AND WOULD BRIEFLY START, SPUTTER, THEN DIE. TOWED TO DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD MY MAF SENSOR WAS JUNKED UP BY A BUG. SENSOR WAS REPLACED. ON JANUARY 25, SAME THING HAPPENED. DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND VEHICLE WAS BECOMING HESITANT, INCONSISTENT AND JUMPING RPMS, STARTED SPUTTERING AND EVENTUALLY STALLED. GETTING TOWED BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. CURRENT MILEAGE 30588.
​I WAS DRIVING MY 2017 NISSAN ROGUE ON A ROUTINE TRIP FROM MY HOME TO MY OFFICE. I WAS TURNING THROUGH A RESIDENTIAL INTERSECTION WHEN MY CAR SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING MID-ACCELERATION. I WOULD ESTIMATE I WAS GOING NO MORE THAN 5-7MPH AS I ACCELERATED FROM THE STOP SIGN INTO 25 MPH. BECAUSE I WAS GOING UP A SLIGHT INCLINE, I WAS ABLE TO PUT IT INTO NEUTRAL AND COAST BACKWARDS OUT OF THE INTERSECTION. I CONTACTED AAA AND WAITED FOR THEM TO RUN THEIR BATTERY TESTS. AFTER RULING OUT BATTERY ISSUES, I HAD IT TOWED TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO ENCOURAGED ME TO TAKE IT TO NISSAN DUE TO A COMPUTER MALFUNCTION. THE MECHANIC INFORMED THAT WHAT HAPPENED SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN. NISSAN PUT IT THROUGH THEIR OWN TESTS TO DETERMINE WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED WITH THE COMPUTER. THEY LATER FOUND THAT A ​​WIRE HAD BEEN RUBBING AGAINST A BOLT. THE WIRE WAS THE WIRE THAT CONNECTS THE COMPUTER TO THE ENGINE. AS EXPLAINED TO ME: THE WIRES OF THE CAR ARE ALL BUNDLED TOGETHER AND INSIDE OF A "PROTECTIVE" TUBE. THE TUBE WAS RUBBING AGAINST THE BOLT, THEN OPENED UP, EXPOSING THE WIRES. THE WIRE THAT HAPPENED TO BE THE ONE THAT CONTINUED TO BE IN CONTACT WITH THE BOLT WAS THE WIRE THAT THEN SHORTED THE COMPUTER AND TURNED THE ENGINE OFF. THEY ENSURED ME THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THAT I DID THAT CAUSED THIS BUT THEY WERE UNSURE WHY THE WIRES/TUBE WAS IN THE LOCATION THAT IT WAS. IT WAS A LITTLE OVER 1,000 MILES OUTSIDE OF THE WARRANTY (MY CAR HAD 37,300 MILES ON IT) AND REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. ​I ATTEMPTED CONTACT WITH NISSAN NORTH AMERICA MULTIPLE TIMES, THE FIRST WOMAN EVENTUALLY TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO AS IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. WHEN I ASKED TO SPEAK TO HER SUPERVISOR, SHE NEVER RETURNED MY CALLS.
THE VOICE RECOGNITION HAD STOPPED WORKING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2017 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE WAS IN THE CONTACT'S BLIND SPOT AND DRIVING WITHOUT THE HEADLIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO STOP, BUT THE BRAKES SEIZED. THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL BUMPING NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE COULD NOT STOP AND THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO THE OTHER VEHICLE IN HIS BLIND SPOT. THE AIR BAG DEPLOYED AFTER THE CRASH. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO HIS LEG, BUT DID NOT SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO CALL MOMENTUM NISSAN (2545 AUTO MALL PKWY, FAIRFIELD, CA 94533, (707) 402-3200) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED; HOWEVER, ALL SEVEN LOCATIONS AFTER CLOSED AFTER REPORTS OF TOO MANY VEHICLES BEING SOLD WITH MULTIPLE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED AND TOWED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,300.
VEHICLE WILL NOT ACCELERATE CAR HESITATES AND THEN WILL MOVE BUT VERY SLUGGISHLY . FEELS LIKE IT IS NOT SHIFTING GEARS. LIGHT HAS ILLUMINATED SUSPECT TRANSMISSION CONCERN. PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE OFF AND ON NOT A STEADY PROBLEM. IT IS THE THIRD TIME THAT I HAVE HAD TO BRING THE CAR IN FOR THE SAME PROBLEM
STEERING WHEEL MAKING NOISE WHEN TURNING, WHEN DRIVING SPEED SLOWS DOWN AND HARD TO PICK SPEED BACK UP.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE DANGER WARNING MESSAGE ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO BERMAN NISSAN OF CHICAGO (3456 N KEDZIE AVE, CHICAGO, IL 60618, (773) 295-4650) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RADAR SENSOR NEEDED TO BE ADJUSTED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,000.
I WAS PURCHASED A NISSA VEHICLE FROM WESTON NISSAN AT DEC 2018, AFTER FEW MONTHS NISSAN CORPORATE CALLED ME THAT THEY NEED TO TAKE BACK TO SWITCH TO ANOTHER ONE, ENDS UP I FOUND OUT THE CAR IS NOT ORIGINAL FROM JAPAN IT WAS DEFECTIVE ONE WITH AFTERMARKET AIR BAG, AND ALL WIRES FROM AIR BAG HAS BEEN CUTTING BEFORE THE SOLD TO ME, THE CAR STILL SEATING MY GARAGE WITH NO DRIVING, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF I CAN GET MY MONEY BACK SINCE THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINALS AS WHAT THEY SAID, I M WORRIED TO DRIVE SO I DECIDED NOT TO DRIVE IT, THANKS AGAIN
THE DRIVER SIDE SEAT SHIFTS (MOVES) TYPICALLY WHEN BRAKING OR ACCELERATING. THERE IS ALSO A CLICKING OR THUMPING TYPE NOISE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS. TOOK VEHICLE INTO LOCAL NISSAN DEALER AND THEY HEAR AND SEE THE PROBLEM BUT SAID THEY HAVE NO FIX FOR THE ISSUE. THEY CHECKED BOLTS/NUTS AND ALL APPEARED SECURE. THEY ALSO OFFERED TO SHOW ME A 2018 NISSAN ROGUE ON THE NEW CAR LOT THAT HAS THE SAME ISSUE.

THE BOTH REAR LIFTGATE SHOCK STRUTS SUDDEN RELEASE OF PRESSURE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING 3 MPH AND MAKING A LEFT TURN, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS STRUCK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED AN INJURY ON HER LEFT HAND THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD. IT WAS UNKNOWN IF THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 16,000.
THIS CAR HAS A SERIOUS DEFAULT ROGUE SPORT MODEL 2017. YOU DRIVE THE CAR UP TO 50MPH AND IT STOPS DOWN TO 20MPH WITHOUT ANY NOTICE. IT DOES ! SYMBOL IN THE MIDDLE AND WIHTHOUT WARNING YOU LOSE CONTROL OF THE CAR AND IT GOES DOWN TO A LOW MPH. THIS IS SO DANGEROUS IF SOMEONE IS DRIVING BEHIND YOU CLOSELY. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO BE ON HIGHWAYS AS WELL AS LOCAL AREA STREETS. THE CAR IS LEASED AND NOT EVEN 1 YEAR OLD. NISSAN HAS NOT TAKEN THIS SERIOUS AND A LOT MORE PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED, THEY DONT CARE AND I HOPE YOU DEMAND THEY LOOK INTO THIS. IT HAS HAPPENED 5X IN LESS THAN A YEAR. I HAVE BEEN IN TOUCH WITH NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND NO ONE CARES!!!!!!!! I REFUSE TO DRIVE THIS CAR, ITS DANGEROUS! SOMEONE AT CORPORATE MUST TAKEN ACTION
I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE WITH 73 MILES ON IT, IT NOW HAS 10,700. MY MAIN COMPLAINT IS REGARDING THE HYBRID/GAS TRANSITION WHEN DRIVING. MY SECONDARY COMPLAINT IS HOW THE VEHICLE DRIVES WHILE IN REVERSE. THE FIRST COMPLAINT, I THINK, MAKES THIS VEHICLE UNSAFE IN A LOT OF DRIVING SITUATIONS. FOR EXAMPLE, TO LEAVE MY NEIGHBORHOOD I HAVE TO MAKE A LEFT TURN ONTO A ROAD WITH A BLIND CORNER. WHEN I AM READY TO GO, I PUT MY FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR AND SOMETIMES THE VEHICLE REACTS AS I EXPECT AND MAKES THE TURN NO PROBLEM. HOWEVER, ABOUT 75% OF THE TIME, I HIT THE GAS AND THE CAR IDLES FORWARD INTO THE OPPOSING LANE AND ABOUT 1-1.5 SECONDS LATER THE ENGINE CATCHES UP AND ACCELERATES AS EXPECTED. I'VE COME CLOSE TO BEING TBONED IN JUST THIS INTERSECTION AT LEAST 4 TIMES BECAUSE OF THAT DELAY. ADDITIONALLY, WHILE DRIVING IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC THE CAR WILL OCCASIONALLY LEAP AHEAD NO MATTER IF I'M PRESSING THE GAS OR THE BRAKE. THE INTERFACE BETWEEN GAS AND HYBRID ON THIS VEHICLE IS HORRIBLE, AND NOT LIKE THE ONE I TEST DROVE BEFORE THIS ONE WAS DELIVERED. I FEEL THIS VEHICLE IS SO UNSAFE THAT I DON'T LET MY 16 YEAR OLD DRIVE IT BECAUSE THE DRIVER ALWAYS HAS TO BE ON THEIR TOES FOR THESE ISSUES. I'VE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO ADVANTAGE NISSAN IN BREMERTON, WA TWICE OVER THESE ISSUES AND THEY TELL ME IT'S OPERATING WITHIN NORMAL RANGE AND THIS IS NORMAL. NORMAL OR NOT, ITS UNSAFE. I CAN PROVIDE MANY MORE EXAMPLES OF THIS BEHAVIOR FROM THE VEHICLE, JUST CONTACT ME! THE SECONDARY ISSUE HAS TO DO WITH HOW THE VEHICLE ACTS WHILE IN REVERSE. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DESCRIBE IT EXACTLY, BUT WHEN REVERSING AT ANY SPEED THE RIDE IS VERY JERKY, LIKE A PERSON REVERSING IN A MANUAL TRANSMISSION THAT DOESN'T HAVE THE HANG OF THE CLUTCH YET. IT'S WORSE WHEN BACKING DOWN MY STEEP DRIVEWAY, POSSIBLY DUE TO THE HILL ASSIST FEATURE! PLEASE FEEL FREE TO REACH OUT FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY, ENGINE TURNED OFF A WEIRD CHIRPING/BUZZING NOISE COMES FROM THE ENGINE IN INTERVALS. THE DEALER IS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE, HAD THE VEHICLE FOR 2 WEEKS. I HAVE RECORDED IT AND SENT TO SEVERAL MECHANICS, I SEE ON YOUTUBE OTHER OWNERS HAVE IT AS WELL, AND NISSAN CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT IT IS. IT HAPPENS FREQUENTLY SINCE THE DAY I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE ON 7-31-2017 BRAND NEW. I NOW HAVE 10,000 MILES, IT STILL HAPPENS, LAST TIME YESTERDAY.
MY DAUGHTER WAS AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT BEHIND A JEEP. THE CARS BEGAN TO DRIVE FORWARD AFTER THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN. AS THEY WERE SPEEDING UP, THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF HER SLAMMED ON HIS BRAKES AND THE ROGUE DID NOT STOP AND RAN INTO THE JEEP.I LEASED THIS CAR FOR SAFETY FEATURES THAT DID NOT DO WHAT THEY ARE ADVERTISED TO TO DO. FORWARD EMERGENCY BRAKING DID NOT ACTIVATE, NO AUDIBLE ALERTS, AND AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. MY DAUGHTER HIT A VEHICLE IN FRONT OF HER AND CAUSED ABOUT $8,000 IN DAMAGE.
BRAKE WARNING LIGHT COMES ON DASHBOARD AND MAKES BEEPING SOUND WHEN BRAKE IS NOT ON, WHILE I'M DRIVING. ITS BEEN LEAKING UNDER THE DASHBOARD BY THE FOOT PEDALS, ALMOST EVERY TIME WE GET A GOOD RAIN SHOWER IN FLORIDA. WHEN I GET IN AFTER A RAIN AND DRIVE, IT PLUS IN ON MY FEET OR THE PASSENGER SIDE.I ASKED THEM TO CHECK IT AND THEY SAID MY WINDSHIELD IS THE PROBLEM I SHOULD TAKE IT TO MY INSURANCE TO DEAL WITH. THE CAR IS EXTRA LOUD EVEN WHEN WINDOW ARE ALTHO WAY UP. HEADLIGHTS ARE VERY WEAK, YOU CAN BARELY SEE THEM ON THE ROAD AT NIGHT.
MY 2017.5 NISSAN ROGUE HYBRID EMERGENCY BRAKE MALFUNCTION LIGHT HAS COME ON 2X. THERE WAS NO NEED FOR THE EMERGENCY BRAKES TO BE ENGAGED. I WAS DRIVING MY CAR ON THE HIGHWAY WITH NO RISK OF HITTING ANOTHER OBJECT. THE LIGHT HAS COME ON SEVERAL TIMES WITH NO NEED FOR THE ISSUE TO OCCUR.
RANDOMLY TRIGGERS FORWARD EMERGENCY BRAKES WITHOUT PRESENCE OF VEHICLE OR PEDESTRIANS WHEN CAR IS IN MOTION. HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES ON CLEAR DAYS, TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH AND CAR BRAKES AUTOMATICALLY. *DT *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE SENSOR IN THE FRONT BUMPER ENGAGED AND LOCKED THE BRAKES, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SLOW DOWN. THE "SYSTEM LOCK-DOWN" INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TED RUSSELL NISSAN (865-223-6744, LOCATED AT 8565 KINGSTON PIKE, KNOXVILLE, TN 37919) WHERE THE SENSORS WERE REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED TO PAY 50 PERCENT OF THE REPAIR COSTS. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SAFETY ISSUE WAS NOT ADDRESSED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 35,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.
I AM SMELLING EXHAUST IF I AM STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT OR STOP SIGN FOR LESS THAN A MINUTE. IT STARTED ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO. I HAVE NOT CHANGED THE GAS I USE OR THE GAS STATION THAT I FILL UP AT.

THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED TO THE FLOORBOARD, BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP AND CONTINUED TO ROLL DOWN THE HILL. THE DRIVER SHIFTED FROM DRIVE TO REVERSE AND WAS ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. WHEN THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED, THE VEHICLE OPERATED NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER (ROBERT WOODALL NISSAN, 132 UNION ST. BRIDGE RD., DANVILLE, VA), BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE DEALER FOUND NO FAILURES WITH THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,700.

THE VEHICLE DID NOT STOP AND REAR ENDED THE PRECEDING VEHICLE. THERE WAS NO WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES THAT LATER REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED AND TOWED TO A PRIVATE PROPERTY. THE CONTACT CALLED TEAM NISSAN AT (856) 696-2277 (LOCATED AT 1715 S DELSEA DR, VINELAND, NJ 08360) AND WAS REFERRED TO THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ASKED IF THE CONTACT WANTED THE VEHICLE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 13,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.
THE VEHICLE INITIALLY WOULD NOT START ON 1/17/18 WHILE PARKED. I CALLED NISSAN ROADSIDE AND THEY SENT A TOW TRUCK A FEW HOURS LATER. VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO BE JUMPED. TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. I GOT THE VEHICLE BACK SEVERAL DAYS LATER AND THE PROBLEM OCCURRED AGAIN. I WAS AT WORK SO I WAITED ON CALLING FOR A TOW AND WHEN I WENT BACK OUT IT TURNED OVER. IN MARCH, I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND THE VEHICLE WAS AGAIN STATIONARY AND COULD NOT BE JUMPED SO IT WAS TOWED. THE DEALER TOLD ME THEY COULD NOT FIND AN ISSUE SO I TOOK THE CAR BACK. ON 8/18/18 I WAS ON THE INTERSTATE WHEN I FELT THE CAR SEEM TO LOSE POWER AND HEARD A WHINING OR WHISTLING NOISE WHICH I INITIALLY THOUGHT WAS A WINDOW SLIGHTLY OPEN. I GOT OFF THE INTERSTATE AND PARKED IN THE CLOSEST AREA I COULD. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AND I AGAIN CALLED NISSAN ROADSIDE. THE DEALER HAD THE VEHICLE FOR 2-3 WEEKS AND AGAIN RETURNED IT TELLING ME IT WAS OK. ON 9/11/18 I WENT TO GET LUNCH AND THE VEHICLE STOPPED WORKING IN A PARKING LOT. I TOOK VIDEO ON 9/11/18 OF THE PROBLEM AND AGAIN HAD TO BE TOWED AND FIND A RIDE HOME (1 HOUR FROM HOME). NOW I AM TOLD THE DEALER ADDED SOME "HARNESS" AND IT SHOULD WORK FINE SO I SHOULD COME PICK IT UP. THIS VEHICLE IS CLEARLY DANGEROUS. I WAS DRIVING SO I WAS ABLE TO HANDLE IT BUT IF MY WIFE OR SOMEBODY ELSE WAS DRIVING I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED. I HAVE FURTHER REPAIR ORDERS NOT INCLUDED IN THE ATTACHED DOCUMENTS.
The contact was leasing a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving at 30-35 MPH, another vehicle crashed into the driver-side front end of the vehicle. The other driver ran a stop sign at 40 MPH and sustained chest pain injuries. The air bags did not deploy. The contact was transported to the hospital where it was diagnosed that she sustained a sternum fracture, a T-12 wedge compression fracture of the Spine, a L-5 lumbar fracture. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot, where it was totaled. The dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 18,000.
THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED ON 8-30-18, AND ON 9-4-18, THE CAR WOULD NOT START. I HAD TO GET A JUMP AND THEN LEAVE IT ON THE CHARGER FOR HOURS BEFORE THE CAR WOULD START. THE CAR CLICKER DID NOT WORK AND THE TRUNK LIFTER FEATURE WOULD NOT WORK. WHEN THE CAR DID START IT GAVE A MALFUNCTION NOTICE IN THE DASHBOARD. ALSO, THE CAR MAKES A NOISE WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. THE CAR WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER BUT THEY WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO RETURN THE CAR AS I DID NOT FEEL SAFE OR COMFORTABLE WITH THE CAR DUE TO THESE CONCERNS. THEY ATTEMPTED TO RESOLVE THE MATTER BY CHANGING THE BATTERY IN THE CAR CLICKER. BUT THE MATTER IS NOT RESOLVED AND THEY ARE UNWILLING TO SERVICE ME AS I ONLY HAD THE CAR FOR LESS THAN A WEEK BEFORE THESE PROBLEMS BEGAN SINCE THE CAR HAS IN MY POSSESSION. THEY WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO RETURN THE CAR. THEREFORE, I HAD TO TAKE THE CAR BACK WITH ME. IT HAS BEEN PARKED EVER SINCE. I DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE AT ALL TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE AS I DRIVE A LOT AND NEED A CAR THAT IS DEPENDABLE, SAFE, AND RELIABLE.

THE VEHICLE BRAKED TO A FULL STOP WHILE I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT FORWARD OVER TRAIN TRACKS. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AS I COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN REAR ENDED

THIS MEANS THAT THE FRONT WINDSHIELD IS CONSTANTLY FOGGED ON COLD MORNINGS, THROUGHOUT THE DAY AND AT NIGHT (ESPECIALLY ON RAINY DAYS). ON WARM DAYS, THE CABIN SMELLS LIKE MILDEW BECAUSE THE AIR IS CONSTANTLY FLOWING IN. NOT TO MENTION THE EXHAUST SMELL THAT ENTERS THE CABIN. THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME NOW. WE'VE COME TO LEARN THAT NO MATTER WHAT MODE THE SYSTEM IS LEFT ON; FACE, FEET, FACE/FEET, ETC. (EXCEPT DEFROSTER MODE), THE SYSTEM IS ALWAYS LOCKED/STUCK NOW. THE BUTTON THAT STAYS LOCKED IS THE ONE THAT ALLOWS OUTSIDE AIR INTO THE CABIN (PICTURE NAMED CONTROL PANEL) AND THE ONLY WAY TO TURN THIS FUNCTION OFF IS BY PHYSICALLY PRESSING THE AUTO, THEN MODE, THEN INSIDE AIR BUTTONS ON THE CONTROL PANEL. THERE HAVE BEEN A FEW TIMES THAT IT ACTUALLY STAYS LOCKED AND CANNOT BE TAKEN OFF.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HWY TO MY PLACE PACE OF EMPLOYMENT A WARNING CODE APPEARED STATING THE FRONT SENSOR WASN'T WORKING DUE TO OBSTRUCTION. IT WAS RAINING FAIRLY HEAVY NO VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME STAYED ON FOR AT LEAST 5 MILES. WHILE TURNING IN TO WORK PARKING LOT IT GOES OFF.
I PURCHASED MY CAR BRAND NEW IN MARCH 2018. IT HAS LESS THAN 7700 MILES ON IT. ON JULY 30, 2018, I WAS AT A RED LIGHT (COMPLETELY STOPPED) ON A DRY CITY STREET, WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, WHEN MY CAR SUDDENLY LUNGED FORWARD INTO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF MINE. DESPITE MY FOOT REMAINING ON THE BRAKE, THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO REV UNTIL I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE AND REAPPLIED. I PURCHASED THE SAFETY PACKAGE FOR MY CAR, AND NOT ONLY DID THE BRAKES FAIL, BUT THE SAFETY PACKAGE, THAT IS SUPPOSED TO PREVENT A COLLISION, ALSO FAILED.
FORWARD EMERGENCY BRAKING KEEPS ENGAGING WITH NO OBJECT IN FRONT. HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. THE LATEST TIME WAS THIS EVENING. IT ENGAGED ON THE INTERSTATE AT A SPEED OF 65 MPH DROPPED SPEED TO 45 WITH A SEMI TRUCK DIRECTLY BEHIND ME. OTHER TIMES IT HAS HAPPENED WHEN DRIVING UP OR DOWN HILLS, WHEN ACCELERATING ON THE ON RAMP TO THE FREEWAY.
DRIVER SEAT MOVING BACK AND FORTH OR ROCKING SIDE BY SIDE WHILE DRIVING ACCOMPANIED BY A CLUNKING NOISE COMING FROM UNDER THE SEAT. USUALLY NOISE COMES WHILE GOING OVER A SPEED BUMP OR POTHOLE. DEALERSHIP HAD THE CAR FOR MORE THAN A WEEK AND DETERMINED THE ROOT CAUSE TO BE ITEMS IN CENTER CONSOLE. RETURNED THE CAR WITH "REMOVED ITEMS IN CENTER CONSOLE" AS THE FIX. NOISE CAME BACK AFTER A DAY OF DRIVING WITH NO ITEMS IN CENTER CONSOLE. IT IS A SAFETY CONCERN BECAUSE THE DRIVER SEAT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE SECURELY HELD/ FASTENED. NOISE AND VIBRATION HAS TEND TO BECOME MORE APPARENT WITH TIME. CAR ONLY HAS 9500 MILES ON IT.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY THE POWER DROPPED TO THE CAR. THE RPMS DROPPED DOWN TO ALMOST ZERO, THE POWER TO THE RADIO AND FAN MOTOR STOPPED AS WELL. I WENT FROM 65 MILES PER HOUR TO 35 MILES PER HOUR IN A MATTER OF SECONDS. THANKFULLY I WAS NOT HIT BY ANOTHER CAR. THE SECOND ISSUE IS THAT THE ENGINE FEELS LIKE IT MIGHT STALL UPON START AFTER SITTING ALL DAY. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE THIRD ISSUE IS THAT THE BLUETOOTH RADIO SYSTEM HAS A WHISTLING SOUND WHEN TRYING TO USE THIS AND BE SAFE WHILE DRIVING. THE FOURTH ISSUE IS THAT THE INTERIOR BACK DOOR PULLS TO CLOSE THE DOOR BOTH POP OUT AND CANNOT BE PUSHED BACK INTO PLACE. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN AWAY FROM ME FOR A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF TIME SO NISSAN CAN TRY AND MAKE REPAIRS. CONSUMER AFFAIRS TOLD US THAT SIMPLY THERE WAS NO FIX FOR THE BLUETOOTH ISSUE AND THAT THE BACK DOOR PULLS WAS A DESIGN FLAW FROM THE MANUFACTURER.
AS I WAS PARKING MY CAR ACCELERATED WITHOUT WARNING. I HAD TO STEP ON THE BRAKES RAPIDLY TO PREVENT HITTING ANOTHER CAR. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAPPENED. THE FIRST TIME I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, IT HAPPENED SO FAST, I THOUGHT THE GAS PEDAL STUCK. NOW I REALIZE THAT WAS NOT THE CASE, IT WAS AN UNINTENDED ACCELERATION AS WELL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE DEALER TO REPLACE THE BRACKET. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 25,000.
IN EARLY 2018 THE EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM HAS TWICE FULLY ENGAGED BRINGING THE VEHICLE TO A STOP WHEN NO APPARENT OBSTRUCTION OR VEHICLE WAS OBSERVED. FORTUNATELY BOTH TIMES NOBODY WAS BEHIND ME. THE 1ST INCIDENT OCCURRED ON A CITY SURFACE STREET AT NIGHT. UPON RETURNING THE NEXT DAY I SAW METAL PLATES PLACED IN THE ROADWAY AT SAME LOCATION FOR CONSTRUCTION PURPOSES. AT THE TIME I SUSPECTED THE PLATES CAUSED THE EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM TO TRIGGER UNEXPECTEDLY. A SEVERAL WEEKS/MONTHS LATER THE SYSTEM AGAIN FULLY TRIGGERED WHEN CROSSING A RAILROAD TRACK ON A CITY SURFACE STREET. I ASSUMED SOMETHING ON THE CROSSING TRIGGERED THE RADAR, ALTHOUGH HAVE CROSSED MANY TIMES SINCE WITHOUT INCIDENT. BOTH TIMES THE BRAKING SYSTEM ENGAGED THERE WAS LITTLE TO NO WARNING IT WAS ABOUT TO, JUST VERY RAPID BEEPING AND IMMEDIATE BRAKE ENGAGEMENT. I HAVE ALSO HAD MULTIPLE INSTANCES WHERE THE RADAR BEGINS TO TRIGGER APPARENTLY DUE TO FENCE POSTS OR SIMILAR ITEMS ALONG ROADS, BUT DOES NOT ENGAGE THE BRAKE. I HAVE ALSO HAD MESSAGES THE COLLISION SENSOR HAS TURNED ITSELF OFF ONLY TO TURN ITSELF BACK ON SEVERAL HOURS LATER OR AFTER THE CAR HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN AND RESTARTED. THE EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM SHOULD BE FIXED AS THE SUDDEN STOP SHOULD YOU BE IN TRAFFIC COULD EASILY RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT AND MAY EVEN CAUSE WHIPLASH AMONG PSSENGERS IF TRAVELING AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED.

THE POLICE WAS CALLED AND FOUND IT REMARKABLE THIS VEHICLE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED FROM THE RIMS BEING SCRAPPED.

THANKFULLY I HAD THE SHADE CLOSED OR THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
