BEFORE THE 3 YEAR WARRANTY ON CAR RAN OUT. WHEN WE BROUGHT CAR INTO DEALERSHIP FOR OIL CHANGES AND CHECKUPS WE MENTIONED THAT PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG LIGHT WAS GOING ON AND OFF. BROUGHT BACK INTO DEALERSHIP AFTER 3 YEARS AND ASKED THEM TO REPAIR PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG THAT WAS STAYING ON CONSTANTLY...THE DEALERSHIP SAID THAT THEY WANTED AT LEAST $600 TO REPAIR OR TRY TO FIX IT AND THEY SAID THEY HAD NO RECORD OF OUR COMPLAINTS LISTED FOR OUR CAR! LEFT DEALERSHIP WITH NO WORK DONE DUE TO WE DID NOT HAVE FUNDS FOR THAT. TOOK OUR CAR IN 11/2022 TO AN AUTO REPAIR SERVICE SHOP AND THEY RAN A DIAGNOSTIC AND RECALABER ON THIS PROBLEM. NOTHING WORKED AT THE COST OF $265. WAS TOLD BY BOTH PLACES THAT PASSENGER FRONT SIDE AIRBAG COULD OR COULD NOT WORK..NO WAY OF TELLING UNLESS AIR BAGS WERE DEPLOYED. TOLD TO TAKE BACK TO DEALERSHIP AND HAVE THEM DO WORK.....LIKE CHECK WIRING UNDER SEATS ETC. DO OTHER NISSAN ROGUE OWNERS HAVE THIS SAME PROBLEM?
NISSAN ROGUE 2017 ; WHISTLE NOISE TRANSMITTED TO CALL RECIPIENT WHEN USING BLUETOOTH HANDS-FREE PHONE SYSTEM
EMERGENCY BRAKES LOCK UP DRIVING 55 MILES PER HOUR IN THE EXPRESSWAY, RAINING CONDITIONS ALMOST CAN'T WRITE THE HISTORY
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE BRAKED AUTOMATICALLY WITHOUT THE BRAKE PEDAL BEING DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED TWICE WITHOUT WARNING. THE DRIVER RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO POHANKA NISSAN OF FREDERICKSBURG (5200 JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY, FREDERICKSBURG, VA 22408, (540) 898-5200) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN A HUNDRED MILES; HOWEVER, THE TECHNICIAN COULD NOT REPLICATE THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 28,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35MPH AND THE CARS AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKE SYSTEM TRIGGERED, CAR CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. THANKFULLY THERE WERE NO OTHER CARS IN FRONT OR BEHIND ME AT THE TIME. THIS WAS ON A LOCAL RESIDENTIAL ROAD.
THE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM ON MY 2017 ROGUE ENGAGED YESTERDAY DURING HIGHWAY DRIVING AT ROUGHLY 60 MPH. WHAT A HORRIFICALLY TERRIFYING EVENT. I WAS TRAVELING WITHIN A SINGLE LANE ON A 3 LANE HIGHWAY WHEN OUT OF THE BLUE THE BRAKES LOCKED UP. THE VEHICLE SHUDDERED AND THE CAR WENT FROM 60 MPH TO ABOUT 15-20 MPH IN A MATTER OF A COUPLE HUNDRED FEET. IT FELT AS THOUGH SEVERAL TIRES HAD BLOWN OUT AT ONCE OR THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION HAD COMPLETELY LOCKED UP. I REMEMBER HEARING AN AUDIBLE CHIME AND SEEING SOMETHING ON THE CONSOLE PANEL FLASHING WHAT I BELIEVE TO BE RED WARNING LIGHT WHILE I WAS FIGHTING TO RETAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. WITHIN A PERIOD OF ABOUT 3-5 SECONDS THE WHOLE EVENT WAS OVER AND THE VEHICLE HAD ABRUPTLY SLOWED ITSELF TO THE AFOREMENTIONED SPEED. FORTUNATELY AT THE TIME THE TRAFFIC WAS LIGHT AND THERE WAS NOT ANOTHER VEHICLE DIRECTLY BEHIND ME OR THE CONSEQUENCES OF THIS EVENT WOULD HAVE ENDED TRAGICALLY. THE IMPORTANT THING TO NOTE IS THAT THIS WAS RELATIVELY OPEN ROAD AT THE TIME AND THERE WERE NO OTHER VEHICLES OR OBSTRUCTIONS IN FRONT OR TO THE SIDES OF THE VEHICLE WHEN THIS OCCURRED. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN PROMPTLY TURNED OVER TO NISSAN FOR A FULL REVIEW AND REPAIR OF THE FORWARD EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM.
WHEN DRIVING THE CAR IN AREAS WITH UNEVEN STREETS OR STREET REPAIRS PLANCKS ON GROUND EITHER AUTIMATIC BREAKS WOULD ACTIVATE OR CAR WOULDN'T SLOW DOWN WHEN BREAKS WERE HIT. WHILE DRIVING ON AN UNEVENLY PAVED ROAD AT ABOUT 30M/P/H THE BREAKS WERE PRESSED & CAR DID NOT SLOW DOWN UNTIL IT COLLIDED WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE.
I LOOSE ACCELERATION WHEN DRIVING. THIS IS THE 5TH TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED.
BOTH TAILGATE STRUTS NEED TO BE REPLACED ON A 2017 ROGUE I BOUGHT NEW. SINGLE SAFE 64 YEAR OLD DRIVER. VERY EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE ON SUCH A NEW CAR BOUGHT BECAUSE OF NISSAN REPUTATION
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE STARTED TO DECELERATE, THE BRAKES SEIZED, AND THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE FRONT WHEELS WANTED TO SPIN, BUT THEY WERE LOCKED. THE VEHICLE WAS SCHEDULED TO BE DIAGNOSED BY FAMILY NISSAN OF LAREDO (3701 E SAUNDERS ST, LAREDO, TX 78041) ON DECEMBER 2, 2019. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 17,776.
THE NISSAN HAS A SEVERE VIBRATION COMING THROUGHOUT THE CABIN AT STOPLIGHTS ON CITY STREETS. THE STEERING WHEEL VIBRATES, THE PASSENGER VIOLENTLY VIBRATES WHEN NO ONE IS SITTING IN THE SEAT, THE HOOD SHAKES. THIS ALL HAPPENS WHILE AT IDLE, AS THE VEHICLE GETS WARMER THE ISSUES BECOMES WORSE, FOR EXAMPLE: THE VIBRATION IS LESS NOTICEABLE THE FIRST 10 MINUTES THE VEHICLE IS ON AND OPERATING, AS THE ENGINE WARMS THE ISSUE GETS WORSE. I HAVE HAD THE CAR INSPECTED BY BOTH NISSAN AND A 3-RD PARTY, WITH BOTH SAYING THE ISSUE IS VISIBLE, BUT THERE IS NO FIX FOR THIS. THIS VIBRATION IS A SAFETY HAZARD, IT IS SHAKING COMPONENTS OF MY VEHICLE THAT MAY BECOME LOOSE OVER TIME AND NOT HOLD UP IF I WERE IN AN ACCIDENT (I.E. THE VIBRATION ON THE PASSANGER SEAT COULD CAUSE BOLTS TO BECOME LOOSE WITHOUT ME KNOWING, THEN WHEN I STEP ON THE BREAK THE SEAT COULD COME LOOSE AND CAUSE INJURY. ALSO THE HOOD LATCH CAN BECOME LOOSE AND FLY OPEN WHILE DRIVING.) BESIDES THE SAFETY ISSUES THIS IS ADDING EXCESSIVE WARE AND TEAR ON ,Y VEHICLE AND I DON'T FEEL SAFE.
WHILE DRIVING MY 2017 NISSAN ROGUE THIS WEEK, FOR NO APPARENT REASON, THE BRAKE ASSIST FEATURE ENGAGED. I WAS DRIVING BETWEEN 30-40 MPH, NOTHING IN MY PATH, WHEN SUDDENLY THE BRAKES ENGAGED, CAUSING WHAT SOUNDED LIKE A GRINDING SOUND AND MY VEHICLE NEARLY COMING TO A STOP WITH RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC BEHIND ME. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE SINCE I'VE OWNED THE CAR, WITH THE PREVIOUS TIME BEING APPROXIMATELY A MONTH OR TWO AGO. I WILL BE TAKING MY VEHICLE IN TO MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP TO INSPECT, AND HOPEFULLY THIS IS TAKEN SERIOUSLY, AND PROMPTLY CORRECTED, AS THIS COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
MY 2017.5 NISSAN ROGUE SV AEB WENT OFF WITH NO WARNING OR ANY THREAT OF A AUTOMOBILE OR PERSON IN THE WAY. WE WERE ON A HIGHWAY GOING 50 MPH STRAIGHT. I HAD TO SERVE SO CARS BEHIND ME WOULDN'T HIT MY CAR.
THE REAR LIFT GATE AUTOMATIC OPEN FUNCTION HAS STOPPED WORKING. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE FOR TWO YEARS AND THE GATE NO LONGER OPENS WITH THE FOB OR WHEN YOU KICK UNDER THE VEHICLE.
I WAS STOPPED TO TURN LEFT ON A MAIN ROAD, WHEN A TRACTOR TRAILER REAR ENDED MY CAR AND THEN SLIDE IT SIDEWAYS , HITTING THE SIDE OF THE TRACTOR TRAILER. THE TRACTOR TRAILER WAS LEANING ON MY CAR. NONE OF MY AIRBAGS WENT OFF . BOTH SEATS BROKE, AND BOTH THE HEADRESTS FLEW OFF DURING THE CRASH. THE DRIVER SEAT EVEN TWISTED TO THE RIGHT.*DT*JB
AS I WAS DRIVING MY CAR AT 20-25MPH, MY CAR SUDDENLY BEEPED AND SLAMMED ON THE EMERGENCY BREAK OUT OF NO WHERE. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS MY TIRES. I GOT ALL 4 TIRES FIXED BUT THAT DIDN'T RESOLVE THE ISSUE. I AM AFRAID THIS CAN HAPPEN ON THE FREEWAY WITH MY CHILDREN. MY NISSAN 2018 ROUGE HAS A SENSOR PROBLEM.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DEFROSTER WAS MALFUNCTIONING AND NOT OPERATING ON A CONSISTENT BASIS; THEREFORE, THE WINDOWS WOULD NOT DEFROST TO PROVIDE PROPER VISIBILITY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DEFROSTER FAILED TO WORK PROPERLY AND BLEW OUT COLD AIR ONTO THE WINDOWS. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000.
THE AIR BAG LIGHT ON THE DASH STAYS ON EVERY TIME I DRIVE & THE PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT ALSO ALWAYS STAYS ON INDICATING THAT THE PASSENGER AIR BAG IS OFF EVEN WITH AN ADULT SITTING IN THE SEAT. NOT SURE IF IS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE WITH THE WIRING OR AN AIR BAG SENSOR.
AS WITH THE MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS THAT I HAVE SEEN AND READ ABOUT IN ARTICLES, I'VE EXPERIENCED THE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEMS ENGAGING EVEN WITH NO REASON TO BE DOING SO, I.E. CLEAR SPACE IN FRONT OF ME/NO VEHICLES, NO SIGNS OR BARRIERS WITH IN DIRECT SIGHT OF THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I HAVE IT SERVICED DID PERFORM A SOFTWARE UPDATE, WHICH DID DECREASE THE TIMES IT GOES OFF UNWARRANTED, HOWEVER IT STILL OCCURS WITH NO REASON TO.
MY 2017 NISSAN ROGUE IS STILL UNDER FACTORY WARRANT AND I PURCHASED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. ON 9/30/2019 MY NISSAN ROGUE WAS MISSING AND STALLING SO I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC (ALPINE AUTOMOTIVE INC., 5495 W. MISSISSIPPI AVE. LAKEWOOD, CO 80226. A DIAGNOSTIC WAS RUN ON THIS VEHICLE PRODUCING CODE P1715 INPUT SPEED SENSOR PRIMARY SPEED PO776 OIL PRESS SOLENOID B. FOUND SERVICE BULLETIN NTB16-11OL THAT INDICATED THE VEHICLE NEEDS A VALVE BODY AND REPROGRAM. UNFORTUNATELY THIS MECHANIC DELETED THE CODES AND THIS HAS HINDERED GETTING MY TRANSMISSION FIXED UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE NISSAN WILL NOT WORK ON MY VEHICLE UNTIL THEY GET A CODE FROM THEIR DIAGNOSTICS. THIS IS PUTTING ME IN HARMS WAY BECAUSE I OPERATING THIS VEHICLE WHICH IS DEFECTIVE, STALLS AT STOP LIGHTS AND WILL NOT ACCELERATE UNLESS I FLOOR BOARD THE ACCELERATOR. I HAVE CALLED NISSAN HEADQUARTERS AND THEY WILL NOT RETURN MY PHONE CALLS, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE OPENED UP A CASE WITH THEM. AS THIS VEHICLE DETERIORATES, I AM GOING TO BE IN DANGER DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. CAN YOU PLEASE INTERVENE AND HELP. MY COMPLAINT IS NOT AGAINST ALPINE AUTO, BUT NISSAN HEADQUARTERS AS THEY WILL NOT ALLOW THE REPAIRS TO THE TRANSMISSION BECAUSE THEY CANNOT SEE THE CODES WHEN THEY DO A DIAGNOSTIC. THERE IS DOCUMENTATION THAT THESE CODES INDICATE A REPAIR IS NEEDED AND NISSAN IS ALLOWING ME TO DRIVE A DEFECTIVE VEHICLE AND PUTTING ME IN HARMS WAY. WHEN DRIVING AND STEERING, TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT, GOING OVER BUMPS IN THE ROAD, TURNING CURVES, THERE IS A CLICKING NOISE IN MY STEERING COLUMN. WHEN I PUT ON BRAKES IT DOES IT ALSO. I AM NOT SURE IF THERE IS SOMETHING INSIDE BROKEN OR LOOSE. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO A NISSAN DEALER AND THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING, BUT THEY HEAR THE NOISES, THE SERVICE MANAGER EVEN RECORDED THE NOISES. MY SEAT SLIDES ON THE POWER RACKING SYSTEM. MY SEAT WILL SIDE FROM FRONT TO BACK, ONLY A FRACTION, BUT IT ALSO SLIDES OR ROCKS FROM LEFT TO RIGHT. I AM AFRAID THAT THE SEAT WILL COME UNATTACHED IF I AM IN A COLLISION. THE ABS WILL OFTEN MAKE THE FLASHING NOISE AND ATTEMPT TO BRAKE IF IT SEES A SHADOW ON THE ROAD, LIKE A PARKING GARAGE OR TREES OVER A ROAD. I HAVE ASKED THE NISSAN DEALER IN ASHEBORO SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY CAN'T FIND ANY ISSUES WITH THE 3 PROBLEMS THAT I HAVE LISTED. GRANTED I DID NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM, SO THEY REALLY DON'T WANT TO ASSIST ME. I PURCHASED THE EXTRA WARRANTIES, BUMPER TO BUMPER, AND THAT HAS NOT GIVEN ME ANY ASSISTANCE AS WELL. PLEASE HELP. I WANT TO GET RID OF THIS UNFIT CAR BUT I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BECAUSE OF THE NOISES IT IS MAKING. THIS STARTED AT ABOUT 31,000 AND NOW I HAVE 47,000, NUMEROUS TRIPS TO A DEALER TO NO RESOLVE. I HAVE HAD THE RIGHT- WHEEL, TIRE RODS OR BRAKES SOMETHING REPLACED 3 TIMES, I HAVE HAD A NEW HEATING/AIR, STEERING GROMMET $ 194.00, OUT OF POCKET, BREAK GASKET, $50, AND THESE NOISES THAT ARE SO BAD THAT I CAN'T STAND TO DRIVE THE CAR, FOR OVER 1 YEARS OR SO NOW.
EMERGENCY BRAKE ENGAGED SUDDENL, IT HAS HAPPENED THERE DIFFERENT TIMES WHILE IN MOTION. TWICE WHILE DRIVING ON THE STREET AND THE LAST TIME PULLING INTO MY GARAGE.
OWN 2017 ROGUE. AFTER RECEIVING AN RECALL SOFTWARE UPDATE 5 HOURS LATER MY CAR EXPERIENCED THIS. HAD RIGHT FOOT ON BRAKE AND WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT WITHIN A PARKING GARAGE. CAR WAS MOVING BUT AT IDLE SPEED CAUSE I WAS 1/4 OF WAY INTO PARKING SPOT WHEN SUDDENLY I HEARD THE ENGINE REV AND CAR TOOK OFF STOPPING ONLY BY THE CEMENT WALL IN FRONT OF ME. HAD IT BEEN A RAILING ON THIS OUTSIDE WALL I WOULD HAVE GONE OVER 7 FLOORS DOWN. NO MATS IN CAR AND I WAS WEARING FLATS SO NISSAN CAN'T SAY THAT CAUSED THIS

THE HORN DOESN'T WORK RELIABLY! MANY TIMES IN CRITICAL TRAFFIC SITUATIONS, THE HORN JUST WILL NOT WORK.

THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND PARKED AT A GROCERY STORE FOR TEN MINUTES BEFORE DRIVING HOME. A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER, A WARNING MESSAGE INDICATING THAT A FRONT SENSOR WAS OBSTRUCTED ILLUMINATED BRIEFLY. ON SEPTEMBER 24, 2019, WHILE DRIVING 42 MPH, THE VEHICLE STOPPED FORCEFULLY ON TWO DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO M'LADY NISSAN (LOCATED AT 5656 NORTHWEST HWY, CRYSTAL LAKE, IL 60014, (815) 459-2288), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,000.

I RECENTLY GOT INTO TO A CAR ACCIDENT ON , 9/15/2019. I HIT A PARKED CAR IN ORDER TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT. I WAS NOT GOING NO MORE THAN 10-15 MILES PER HOUR ON A CITY STREET AS I STEERED THE CAR TOWARDS THE RIGHT SIDE TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT ON THE LEFT SIDE AND MY AXLE CRACKED. THE POLICE OFFICER ON THE SCENE SUGGESTED I REACH OUT TO THE MANUFACTURER AS HE STATED THAT THE AXLE WAS NOT SUPPOSE TO CRACK WITH SUCH A MINOR INCIDENT. PER HIS SUGGESTION I AM WRITING TO YOU.

STEERING WHEEL SHOOK. AN UNEXPECTED EVENT LIKE THIS COULD OF CREATED AN ACCIDENT WITH THE ON COMING TRAFFIC. CALLED DEALER TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO CUT THE WIRES ON THIS DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. JUST GOT SOMETHING IN MAIL ABOUT A RECALL YESTERDAY, A LITTLE TOO LATE!
EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM ACTIVATED ON THE FREEWAY AT 40 MPH WITH NO OBSTACLE TO TRIGGER IT. VEHICLE AHEAD OF ME WAS AT LEAST 4 CAR LENGTHS AHEAD. I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER WHO SAID IT WAS A KNOWN CALIBRATION ISSUE AND REPAIRED FREE OF CHARGE.
I AM LEASING A 2017 NISSAN ROGUE WITH 13,000 MILES ON MY BRAND-NEW CAR. BACK ON MARCH 8, 2019 MY FIRST TIRE BLEW SO I REPLACED IT. ON JULY 9, 2019 MY SECOND TIRE BLEW OUT WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. WHEN I BROUGHT MY TIRE IN TO BE LOOKED AT I WAS TOLD IT WAS A TIRE MALFUNCTION SO FALKEN TIRE ENDED UP REIMBURSING ME FOR THE NEW TIRE I HAD BOUGHT. ON SEPTEMBER 10, 2019 I BROUGHT MY CAR INTO MY NISSAN DEALERSHIP BECAUSE MY TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT WAS ON. I WAS TOLD THAT MY TWO FACTORY TIRES ON MY CAR WERE LEAKING AROUND THE SEAMS. SEEING THAT THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION, I CONTACTED FALKEN TIRE TO LET THEM KNOW THE SITUATION. MY FIRST CALL TO THEM CONCLUDED THAT THEY WOULD COVER ALL CHARGES RELATED TO THE TIRE; THE NEW TIRE AND LABOR COST. WHEN I TOOK MY CAR IN TO GET THOSE TWO TIRES CHANGED, THE GUY HELPING ME CALLED FALKEN TIRE TO MAKE SURE THEY WOULD BE PICKING UP THE BILL AND THEY CLAIMED THEY HAD NOTHING ON FILE REGARDING MY SITUATION. AFTER MULTIPLE CALLS TO FALKEN TIRE I WAS TOLD THAT THEY CANNOT CHANGE OUT MY TIRES BECAUSE THERE IS NO PROOF IN FRONT OF THEM THAT THESE TIRES ARE FAULTY. AFTER 2 BLOWN TIRES AND 2 TIRES LEAKING, THEY SAID THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO TO HELP ME UNTIL AN ACTUAL PROBLEM OCCURS. WHO IS GOING TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY IF AN ACCIDENT OCCURS AND PEOPLE ARE BADLY INJURED? FALKEN TIRE WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR FAULTY TIRES UNTIL SOMEONE DIES FROM THE SITUATION.
DRIVING DOWN THE STREET ABOUT 40 MPH WITH NO ONE ELSE AROUND, THANKFULLY, THE ROGUES AEB STARTED TO KICK IN. THE SENSOR AREA IS CLEAN AND NO REASON FOR IT TO ACTIVATE. NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED AND SERIOUSLY SCARED US.
I WAS DRIVING THOUGH AN INTERSECTION WITH NO OBSTRUCTIONS IN FRONT OF ME & MY AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING ENGAGED FOR NO REASON. THE CHIME SOUNDED, THE CAR STOPPED INSTANTANEOUSLY & A MALFUNCTION SCREEN CAME UP ON MY DASHBOARD. I WAS LUCKY THERE WASN'T ANYONE BEHIND ME OR I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN REAR ENDED. I HAVE SPOKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP & HAVE MADE AN APPOINTMENT, BUT I AM TOLD THAT THERE IS NO RECALL REGARDING THIS ISSUE & I WILL HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE IT DIAGNOSED & FIXED. I AM BAFFLED THAT SOMETHING THAT COULD CAUSE SERIOUS HARM TO DRIVERS HASN'T BEEN RECALLED OR ADDRESSED. I DRIVE THE PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE EVERYDAY TO WORK WHICH HAS A 70 MPH SPEED LIMIT & I CAN TELL YOU, I DO NOT FEEL SAFE KNOWING THAT THIS COULD HAPPEN AT THAT SPEED WITH MANY CARS AROUND ME. I REALLY HOPE TO SEE THIS ISSUE BE LISTED AS A RECALL IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE!

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING (AEB) SYSTEM WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO HESITATE AND SEIZE. THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND WAS ABLE TO CONTINUE DRIVING TO HIS DESTINATION. THE CONTACT CALLED EDEN PRAIRIE NISSAN (LOCATED AT 12790 PLAZA DR, EDEN PRAIRIE, MN 55344, (952) 567-2100) AND INFORMED THEM OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE RECURRED TWO DAYS LATER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE LASER SENSOR FOR THE EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE UPDATED AND THE AEB SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE ADJUSTED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. ON SEPTEMBER 25, 2019, THE FAILURE RECURRED A THIRD TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AEB SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. ON OCTOBER 4, 2019, THE FAILURE RECURRED A FOURTH TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH NEEDING AN UNKNOWN RECALL REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED ON OCTOBER 11, 2019. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,500.
DRIVING ON INTERSTATE ABOUT 10 MPH. CAR SUDDENLY MAKES THIS LOUD NOISE AND SHUTS OFF. IT DID RESTART AND I DIDN'T LOSE ELECTRICAL AS I WAS ON BLUE TOOTH CALL BUT IF HAPPENED WHEN I WAS GOING FASTER THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN A CATASTROPHE! . THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THOUGH. THE FIRST TIME I WAS IN PARKING LOT AND I THOUGHT I DID SOMETHING AS IT WAS A NEW CAR. I WAS NOT TOUCHING ANYTHING BUT STEERING WHEEL AND LIGHTLY TOUCHING BRAKE AS I WAS IN TRAFFIC BUT THERE WAS QUITE SOME ROOM BETWEEN ME AND THE CAR AHEAD.
AT JUST OVER 60,000 MILES THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO CHUG AT SLOW ACCELERATION. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP AT 60,900 MILES. SERVICE ADVISED COMPLETE TRANSMISSION FAIL AND COST TO REPAIR $4700 W/TAXES. CONTACT 1-800-NISSAN1 TO SEE IF THEY WOULD HONOR WARRANTY. TOLD IT WOULD BE ESCALATED AND DETERMINATION WOULD BE CONSIDERED WITH HOW MUCH MONEY SPENT AT NISSAN, SERVICE AND PREVIOUS CARS OWNED. THIRD NISSAN OWNED IN 7 YEARS. AWAITING INFORMATION FROM NISSAN REGIONAL SUPERVISOR. THE TRANSMISSION NEEDS REPLACED. THE CVT ISSUE WITH NISSAN CONTINUES.
THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE FRONT-END COLLISION SENSOR CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO FALSELY REGISTER AN OBSTRUCTION CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO STOP. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS I HAD THE SENSOR TRIP GOING AT SPEEDS LOWER THAN 30MPH. NORMALLY IT WAS WHEN THERE WAS A DIP IN THE ROAD OR NEAR RAILROAD TRACKS. MOST RECENTLY I HAD TWO SITUATIONS WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. THE FIRST WAS ON THE HIGHWAY IN A HILLY AREA (LAKE OF THE OZARKS MO) AND IT WAS RAINING. I RECEIVED SEVERAL ALERTS THAT HE SENSOR COULD NOT DETECT BECAUSE IT WAS OBSTRUCTED. WEN IT DID THIS, THE SPEED OF THE CAR REDUCED, BUT DID NOT STOP AND THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED FOR A MOMENT. I DISABLED THE SYSTEM TO CONTINUE THE REST OF MY DRIVE. THE ROAD CONDITIONS WERE VERY WE AND I DID NOT WANT TO EXPERIENCE ISSUES. THE SECOND WAS ON THE HIGHWAY, DOING OVER 80MPH IN THE LEFT HAND LANE PASSING THE VEHICLE IN THE RIGHT LANE. AS I CAME DOWN THE HILL THE CAR CAME TO A STOP AND THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED A THE SAME TIME NOT ALLOWING ME TO CLEAR THE ACTIVE HIGHWAY. I TOOK MY FOOT OFF OF THE ACCELERATOR AND WAS ABLE TO THEN PRESS IT AGAIN AND MOVE INTO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD. THE ROAD CONDITIONS WERE DRY THIS TIME (2 DAYS LATER THAN THE PREVIOUS INCIDENT). THANKFULLY THERE WAS NOT A VEHICLE RIGHT BEHIND ME AS THEY WOULD NOT HAVE HAD A REACTION TIME BECAUSE OF COMING DOWN THE HILL. I AGAIN HAD TO DISABLE THE SAFETY SENSOR FEATURE AND DROVE THE REMAINING 10 HOURS OF MY TRIP WITHOUT IT. I CONTACTED THE DEALER ON 9/3 WHEN THEY OPENED AND WAS ADVISED THERE WAS A SAFETY RECALL THAT I SHOULD BRING IT IN BUT WAS NEVER NOTIFIED OF THE RECALL BY NISSAN.
A/C DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. WITH A/C ON AND IN AN MODE THE AIR BEING BLOWN THROUGH THE VENTS REDUCES OVER TIME UNTIL THERE IS A COMPLETE ABSENCE OF COOL AIR. I MUST TURN THE A/C OFF FOR MORE THAN 20 MINUTES TO HAVE IT WORK NORMALLY AGAIN, BUT IT DOES THAT SAME AFTER AN EVEN SHORTER AMOUNT OF TIME. THIS HAPPENS CONSTANTLY SINCE THE ORIGINAL DATE I FOUND THE ISSUE. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN PROPERLY SERVICED AT SCHEDULED TIMES AND HAS 25K MILES.
SEAT BELT WON'T BUCKLE (PASSENGER SIDE) AND THE REAR SENSOR IS NOT WORKING. IT HAS BEEN REPLACED FOR A BRAND NEW ONE BECAUSE WE REPORTED THE THE WARNING LIGHT/SIGN KEPT SHOWING. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED IT. BUT THE WARNING LIGHT CAME UP AGAIN WHEN WE GOT HOME UNTIL NOW. AFTER DRIVING FOR A FEW MINUTES, THE WARNING LIGHT/SIGN FOR THE SENSOR WOULD SHOW.
ON TUESDAY, AUG. 27, I DROVE MY ROGUE FROM MY JOB AT THE TIMES-TRIBUNE NEWSPAPER IN SCRANTON, PA ON INTERSTATE 84 EAST TO VISIT MY BROTHER IN BREWSTER N.Y. AFTER I EXITED THE INTERSTATE AND HEADED TOWARD MY BROTHER'S HOUSE, MY ROGUE JUST STOPPED WHILE I WAS DRIVING. THE STOP WAS SHORT, AND LUCKILY THE CAR BEHIND ME WAS NOT THAT CLOSE. MY ROGUE THEN CONTINUED TO DRIVE. THERE WAS NOTHING IN FRONT OF ME OR ON THE SIDES TO CAUSE THE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING TO ACTIVATE LIKE THIS. I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT ON A CITY ROAD. I DID CROSS RAILROAD TRACKS AND IT HAPPENED RIGHT AFTER THAT.. AT THE TIME, I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO THINK. I THOUGHT MAYBE THERE WAS SOME KIND OF ELECTRICAL ISSUE. I DIDN'T BRING IT IN BECAUSE IT DROVE FINE AFTER THAT AND DIDN'T RECUR. SINCE THEN, MY ROGUE HAS DRIVEN NORMALLY. IT WASN'T UNTIL YESTERDAY WHEN I SAW ALL THE ARTICLES ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THEIR ROGUE'S AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING STOPPING - JUST LIKE MINE DID - THAT I REALIZED THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME IN MY ROGUE. I AM SCARED THAT THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN AGAIN WHILE I'M DRIVING MY CAR AND CAUSE ME TO GET IN AN ACCIDENT. I HAVE NO OTHER MODE OF TRANSPORTATION AND MUST GET TO WORK. MY DAILY COMMUTE IS 45 MINUTES TO AN HOUR EACH WAY. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT THIS ISSUE. I CANNOT FIND ANY INFORMATION ABOUT HOW TO GET THIS FIXED, AND FRANKLY, I CANNOT AFFORD AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR ON SOMETHING THAT SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING. I ALSO CANNOT AFFORD TO GET A RENTAL CAR WHILE MY ROGUE GETS FIXED.

ON 4 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS WITHIN LESS THAN 60 DAYS, MY 2017 NISSAN ROGUE HAS TRIED TO "STOP" ON ITS OWN WHILE I HAVE BEEN DRIVING FOR NO REASON. THERE IS NOTHING IN FRONT OF ME ON THE SIDES OF ME OR CLOSE BEHIND ME WHEN IT OCCURS. IT HAS VARIED IN THE SPEEDS I HAVE BEEN DRIVING, IT HASN'T HAPPENED DURING ONE SPECIFIC SPEED. WHEN IT OCCURS, IT BEEPS MULTIPLE TIMES AND I CAN HEAR MY BRAKES LOCKING UP FOR A SPLIT SECOND AND THEN IT STOPS. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED, I WAS GOING AROUND 30 MPH IN TOWN (THANKFULLY I WASN'T ON THE INTERSTATE) AND I TRULY THOUGHT MY CAR HAD COME TO A COMPLETE STOP OR DIED RIGHT THERE IN THE ROAD. EACH TIME MY CAR MESSES UP, IT ALWAYS MAKES THE SAME NOISE, MAKES THE SAME 3-4 BEEPS AND THEN TRIES TO LOCK UP. I TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL NISSAN STORE IN JACKSON, MS AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH MY CAR- BUT MY GUT JUST SAYS OTHER WISE. IT SCARES ME TO THINK THAT THIS MIGHT HAPPEN ON THE INTERSTATE, AT A MUCH HIGHER SPEED, WITH MY FAMILY IN THE CAR WITH ME. PLEASE HELP!
I WAS DRIVING AND THE CAR MADE A LOUD BEEPING NOISE AND STOPPED ON IT'S OWN. IT BREAKED AND I HAD NO CONTROL OVER THE BREAKS OR ACCELERATION. THE EMERGENCY BREAK SYSTEM WENT OFF. A LIGHT CAME ON ON THE DASHBOARD THAT SAID 'MALFUNCTION! CHECK OWNER'S MANUAL.' (SEE PIC). IT WAS REALLY SCARY. I HAD MY 2 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IN THE CAR. I CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF I WERE ON THE HIGHWAY WITH A TRUCK BEHIND ME! THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND I KNOW IT'S BEING INVESTIGATED, BUT THIS NEEDS TO GO AWAY. THIS IS SO SO UNSAFE!
ON AUGUST 16, 2019, WHILE DRIVING UNDER A TOLL BOTH ON A TURNPIKE, THE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BREAKING SYSTEM ENGAGED (FLASHING LIGHTS, WARNING BEEPS AND A GRINDING NOISE) WHILE I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 30 TO 40 MPH, CAUSING THE CAR TO STALL AND FORCIBLY JERK. ON THEIR NOTES, THEY WROTE "REPROGRAM ICC AND ADAS CONTROL UNITS (WARRANTY) (APPLICABLE TSB)". I HAVE DRIVEN UNDER A TOLL BOOTH AFTER AND HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED ANYTHING SIMILAR, HOWEVER, THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL AS THIS ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. MY ROGUE ONLY HAS A LITTLE OVER 20,000 MILES ON IT.
THIS IS MY SECOND REPORT, I PAID FOR AN ABS CONTROL UPDATE FOR MY NISSAN ROUGE 2017 AND TWO WEEKS LATER MY ROUGE STARTED STOPPING AGAIN AND SLOWING DOWN AGAIN WHILE DRIVING IT.
