Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)Putting air in my tires I noticed cracking on all tires on the outside of the sidewall area and not just in one location. It appears all around in a line on each tire.
While driving wheels locked up once with flash warning, one with sound warning. Happened twice within one week of each other. No obstructions in front of or behind me. Wheels locked up with no injuries. Took to dealer for diagnostic testing ($149.00) with no findings/codes to explain locking of wheels.
PURCHASED NISSAN ROUGE NEW FROM DEALERSHIP. UPON ACCRUING 21,000 MILES VEHICLE STARTED SHAKING AND VIBRATING ALL OF A SUDDEN WHILE TRAVELING DOWN THE INTERSTATE. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP AND FOUND OUT AFTER INVESTIGATION THAT THERE IS FOAM INSIDE THE TIRE FROM MANUFACTURER, TO PREVENT ROAD NOISE, THAT HAD COME DISENGAGED FROM THE INNER TIRE WALL. I WAS UNAWARE OF FOAM BEING INSTALLED AT THE FACTORY INSIDE THE TIRES TO PREVENT ROAD NOISE. I WAS CHARGED BY THE DEALERSHIP TO FOR DIAGNOSTICS TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS WRONG WITH VEHICLE. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED UNDER WARRANTY FOR MANUFACTURE DEFECT. FURTHER MORE IT IS FALSE ADVERTISING THAT CONSUMERS DO NOT KNOW THAT THERE IS FOAM IN FACTORY TIRES TO PREVENT ROAD NOISE .
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
