Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)DT: SEVERAL WEEKS BEFORE THE ACCIDENT THE SUSPENSION FELT WEAK. RIGHT BEFORE THE ACCIDENT A LARGE SOUND WAS HEARD AND A BUMP WAS FELT FROM UNDER THE CAR. THE CONSUMER TRIED TO TURN LEFT BUT THE CAR WOULD ONLY GO STRAIGHT AND THE CONSUMER RAN INTO SOME TREES/ A BARBED WIRE FENCE, AND A DITCH. THE AXLE AND DISC BROKE.*AK *NM
MY FRONT RIGHT STRUT FAILED FOR NO APPARENT REASON AFTER ONLY 5 MONTHS AND 11,000 MILES. THERE WAS NO REASON FOR THE FAILURE AND THE DRIVING CONDITIONS WERE NORMAL HIGHWAY MILES. THIS FAILURE LEFT THE CAR VERY UNSTABLE AND IMPOSSIBLE TO MANUVERE IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION. NO CRASH OCCURED BECAUSE I STARTED DRIVING A RENTAL CAR AFTER THE FAILURE. THE PART WAS REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY AND THE DEALER KEPT THE OLD STRUT. *AK
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
