2012 NISSAN SENTRA. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO INADEQUATE CABIN HEAT IN WINTER. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED HE NOTICED THIS PAST WINTER, THE VEHICLE DID NOT HEAT UP TO NORMAL OPERATING TEMPERATURES ON A TIMELY BASIS WHEN THE OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE WAS ROUGHLY 15 DEGREES OR COLDER. INSTEAD, THE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE MOVED ABOUT 1/3 OF THE WAY AND JUST STAYED THERE FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF 20 MINUTES OR MORE. AS A RESULT, THE HEATER PUT OUT ONLY MINIMALLY WARM AIR. EVENTUALLY, THE VEHICLE FULLY WARMED UP AND THE HEAT OUTPUT WAS NORMAL. THE DEALER WAS AWARE THERE WAS A PROBLEM, BUT WAS UNABLE TO CORRECT IT, AND THEY HAD NOT RECEIVED ANY TECHNICAL ADVICE OR ASSISTANCE FROM NISSAN. *JB NISSAN INFORMED THE CONSUMER, THE CONDITION WAS IDENTIFIED IN OTHER SENTRA'S, BUT THAT WAS HOW THE ENGINE WAS DESIGNED, AND IT WOULD NOT BE CHANGED. WHILE PARKED IN OUR DRIVEWAY, OPEN SPACE - NOTHING ABOVE, THE SUN ROOF IMPLODED. IT WAS FINE WHEN WE PARKED THE CAR, BUT THE NEXT MORNING THE GLASS WAS BROKEN. NO IMPACT, TEMP 15 DEGREES F. *TR
I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2012 NISSAN SENTRA. I IMMEDIATELY NOTICED THE VEHICLE DRIFTING TO THE LEFT. AS PART OF A WILL OWE FROM THE DEALERSHIP I ASKED FOR THIS TO BE REPAIRED. FIRST ALIGNMENT. AFTER THE ALIGNMENT WAS DONE I WAS INFORMED THE "SPECS" WERE FINE AND THE TECHNICIAN MENTIONED THIS COULD ALSO BE ROAD CROWN OR TORQUE PULL WHICH IS NORMAL FOR FRONT WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES. ?? I ASKED FOR A SECOND LOOK, THIS TIME THE SERVICE MANAGER WENT WITH ME FOR THE TEST DRIVE AND NOTICED THE DRIFTING AND KEPT THE VEHICLE. THEY DID ANOTHER ALIGNMENT (2ND) SPECS OK AND REPLACE THE OEM TIRES WITH A KNOCK- OFF SET.THE VEHICLE IS STILL DRIFTING. I INFORMED NISSAN AT THIS POINT TO SEE IF THEY CAN STEP IN. THEY RECOMMENDED TAKING IT TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL DEALERSHIP, THIRD ALIGNMENT. SPECS OK . I CONTINUED MY COMPLAINT WITH THE NISSAN REP. AND THEY HAD A ENGINEER COME OUT TO LOOK AT THE VEHICLE. FOURTH ALIGNMENT. HIS OPINION IS: THIS IS A CHARACTERISTIC OF SENTRA MODELS AND STATED NO ADJUSTMENTS, NO ABNORMALITIES AND IT DRIVES THIS WAY BECAUSE THIS IS A DIFFERENT TYPE OF STEERING COLUMN. WOW I WOULD THINK NISSAN WOULD BE MORE CONCERNED ABOUT A DANGEROUS DRIVING "CHARACTERISTIC" ON ONE OF THEIR VEHICLES. THIS PROCESS HAS TAKEN TWO AND HALF MONTHS, FOUR ALIGNMENTS, THREE SEPARATE OPINIONS OF THE DRIFTING ISSUE AND OTHER THAN A REPLACEMENT OF A SET OF KNOCK-OFF TIRES THE PROBLEM STILL EXIST.. THIS IS A DANGEROUS ISSUE THAT NISSAN IS NOT WILLING TO FIX. I HAVE SEEN ON CARCOMPAINTS.COM THAT THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED ISSUE THERE ARE QUITE A FEW COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SAME DRIFTING ON THE SAME VEHICLE SO THAT PROVES THE ENGINEER RIGHT BUT NISSAN IS STILL NOT WILLING CORRECT THE PROBLEM. SAD AND DANGEROUS ATTITUDE TO HAVE. I AM CONFIDENT THIS WILL END UP ON A RECALL. FOR NOW I'M STUCK WITH A DANGEROUS VEHICLE THAT I WOULDN'T WANT ANYONE ELSE TO DRIVE. *TR
DURING ACCELERATION THE VEHICLE MAKES A LOUD CLUNK THAT IS NOT ONLY HEARD BUT FELT ON THE FLOOR UNDER YOUR FEET. *TR
SUMMER 2013 ,WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AT 60 MPH, SOME TIRE DEBRIS OFF AN 18 WHEELER TRUCK TIRE WAS ON MY LANE,, TO AVOID HITTING IT AND OR THE VEHICLES NEXT TO ME I LOOKED INTO MY REAR VIEW MIRROR TO CHECK FOR CARS BEHIND ME AND MADE A SUDDEN SLOW DOWN, BUT NOT A COMPLETE STOP,,I PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL TO GO AROUND THE DEBRIS AND THE ENGINE REVVED UP, BUT THE CAR DID NOT MOVE. IT TOOK THE CVT TRANSMISSION SEVERAL SECONDS TO CATCH UP TO THE ENGINE, BEFORE THE CAR STARTED TO MOVE AGAIN..I TOLD A SERVICE MANAGER AT IPOC NISSAN DEALER IN SAN ANTONIO ABOUT THIS AND HE SEEMED TO BRUSH IT ASIDE, STATING THOSE THINGS HAPPENS WITH CVT'S. WHAT THE DEALER DID FIND WAS AN ENGINE OIL LEAK BETWEEN THE TRANSMISSION AND ENGINE, YOU CAN'T REALLY SEE THE OIL LEAK, BUT THE FACT THAT DUST COLLECTS AROUND IT INDICATED AND THE REST OF THE UNDERSIDE IS CLEANER. THE DEALER HAD TO REMOVE THE TRANSMISSION, PARTS CONNECTED TO IT,,FRONT AXLE ETC..THE FLYWHEEL TO REPLACE A DEFECTIVE REAR ENGINE MAIN OIL SEAL. THIS WAS AT ABOUT 7000 MILES INTO THIS NEW NISSAN SENTRA. ALSO I HAVE MADE COUNTLESS COMPLAINTS TO NISSAN AND IT'S DEALER OF THE HORRIBLE KNOCKING FROM THE ENGINE (2.0) ON START UPS. AND SOMEWHAT GETS QUIETER AFTER WARM-UP, BUT IS STILL PRESENT AT ABOUT 2000 RPM AND UP.. NISSAN HAS TIME AFTER TIME REFUSES TO ACCEPT THAT THEY HAVE A MECHANICAL PRODUCT DEFECT, INSTEAD THEY CLAIM THE KNOCKING IS COMING FROM THEIR FUEL INJECTORS, TO THE ABS BRAKES SYSTEMS,,TO THE TRUNK LID..THESE ARE THE EXCUSES THEY HAVE TOLD ME. I WOULD NOT LIKE TO PASS ON THESE PROBLEMS TO SOME OTHER PERSON IF I GET RID OF THIS NEW CAR,,WHAT I WOULD LIKE NISSAN TO DO IS MAKE GOOD ON THEIR PRODUCT, THEIR ADVERTISING ON TV, RADIO, AND OTHER MEDIA IS DECEIVING AND NISSAN IS TRYING TO AVOID HAVING TO FIX THEIR PROBLEMS. THE PROBLEM WITH THE STOP AND GO ON THE CVT HAPPENED AGAIN AND I REPORTED IT TO THE DEALER . *JB
I WAS DRIVING MY NISSAN SENTRA OVER I-25 AND SUDDENLY MOON ROOF EXPLODED. I HEARD A GUNSHOT AND GLASSES FLYING.THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND NISSAN MUST ISSUE RECALL OR REPLACEMENT FOR ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES. IT SOUNDS LIKE VEHICLE MANUFACTURING DEFECT. I READ SEVERAL FORUMS ON INTERNET AND CAME TO KNOW THAT SEVERAL PEOPLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME ISSUE WITH SEVERAL OTHER CARS. *TR
AT ABOUT 1130 PM ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK, APPROACHING A INTERSECTION, I DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND CAR SEEMED TO INCREASE SPEED AND WENT THROUGH INTERSECTION THROUGH LAWN AND STRIKING ANOTHER CAR, TOTAL LOSE OF CONTROL, NO BRAKES, A REAL SCARY FEELING. *TR
THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY WHEN MY HUSBAND WRECKED THE 2012 NISSAN SENTRA 6-24-13. MY HUSBAND SWERVED TO MISS A DEER THAT WAS IN THE ROAD, HIT A CULVERT, GOT AIR BORN, TOOK OUT A REFLECTOR SIGN, AND CRASHED INTO THE GROUND. THE CAR HAD +$7,000 WORTH OF DAMAGES AND THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. I THINK THERE IS A MANUFACTURING ISSUE. IT GOT AIR BORN AND HIT A CULVERT. I THINK AN AIRBAG SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. *TR
2012 NISSAN SENTRA. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO WATER LEAK CAUSING VEHICLE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED EVERY TIME IT RAINED, IT LEAKED INSIDE THE VEHICLE, CAUSING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS IN THE DASH. THE DEALER STATED THE WATER WAS COMING THROUGH THE FIREWALL.
BOUGHT VEHICLE NEW, AND ITS LESS THAN A YEAR OLD NOW - THE TRUNK LATCH BREAKS REPEATEDLY LEAVING THE TRUNK UNABLE TO BE CLOSED OR LOCKED. ITS BEEN SERVICED 3 TIMES, WITH NEW PARTS ISSUED AND TESTED AND 'FIXED' EACH TIME, AND SAME ISSUES REPEATS ITSELF. THE SECOND TIME IT HAPPENED I COUNTED 9 USES BEFORE THE ISSUE REPEATED, THIS MOST RECENT OCCURRENCE WAS ABOUT 2 WEEKS AFTER NEW PARTS ISSUED: IT WAS USED 3 TIMES. IT RENDERS THE LATCH BY THE DRIVERS SEAT, THE KEY LATCH AND THE VEHICLES TRUNK LATCH ALL USELESS. HAS TO BE A RECALL ISSUE. *TR
I HAVE A 2012 NISSAN SENTRA AND THE CURTAIN AIR BAGS AND SEAT AIR BAGS DEPLOYED WHEN THE DRIVER'S DOOR OF THE VEHICLE WAS SLAMMED. THE CAR WAS NOT IN MOTION BUT THE KEY WAS IN THE IGNITION. TOOK IT TO A DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY DO NOT THINK THIS WOULD BE COVERED BY WARRANTY TO CONTACT MY INSURANCE COMPANY. THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A REAR ACCIDENT 3 MONTHS PRIOR BUT NO AIR BAGS DEPLOYED ONLY THE TRUNK WAS SMASHED IN. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT THE REPAIRS TO THE TRUNK COULD HAVE CAUSED A MALFUNCTION. THE CAR WAS ONLY EXAMINED AT THE DEALERSHIP I WAS TOLD THAT NISSAN CORPORATE OFFICE WAS INVOLVED BUT NEVER WAS CALLED NOR HAS THE CAR BEEN INSPECTED BY A PROFESSIONAL. THIS TOO ME IS VERY UNSAFE AND INCONSIDERATE OF NISSAN TO IGNORE THIS MATTER. WHAT IF THE CAR WAS IN MOTION WHAT TYPE OF ACCIDENT OR INJURY THIS WOULD HAVE CAUSED. I FEEL THEY SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST INSPECTED THE CAR BY A PROFESSIONAL TO MAKE SURE THIS WAS NOT A SENSOR ISSUE AND TO CONFIRM THAT IT NOT THEIR FAULT. *TR
I ONLY GET 22 MILES PER GALLON, CAR WAS ESTIMATED AT 27, CITY MPG AND 34 HIGHWAY, I NOTIFIED THE DEALER AND THEY CLAIM THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR , THE 22 MPG ARE COMBINE CITY AND HIGHWAY. WHERE COULD I GET HELP ON THIS PROBLEM. *TR
I PURCHASED MY SENTRA NEW IN MARCH 2012. AT THAT TIME, MY GAS MILEAGE WAS NORMAL, AND AS ADVERTISED. WITHIN THE YEAR, I WENT FROM 30MPG AVERAGE TO 27. EVERY YEAR SINCE THEN, IT HAS GRADUALLY GOTTEN WORSE, AND I AM NOW DOWN TO 23MPG, REGARDLESS OF THE TYPE OR GRADE OF GAS I USE. IT'S ACTUALLY WORSE WITH PREMIUM GAS. I HAVE DONE ALL MAINTENANCE ON THE CAR ON TIME, REGULAR OIL CHANGES, ETC. I'VE COMPLAINED TO THE DEALERSHIP MULTIPLE TIMES, AND THEY CLAIM TO FIND NO PROBLEMS WITH IT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER HOWEVER, THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. VEHICLE WAS PULLING OUT OF A DRIVEWAY AT NIGHT, JUST BEGINNING TO ACCELERATE, AND STRUCK A TRAILER THAT WAS NOT CLEARLY NOTICEABLE (DID NOT HAVE CLEAR REFLECTORS). AT 5 MPH, THE HOOD WAS CRUNCHED LIKE AN ACCORDION, THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED, AND THE CAR IS CONSIDERED TOTALED. WHAT WOULD THE CONSEQUENCES HAVE BEEN IF STRIKING SOMETHING AT 30, 40, OR 50 MPH? *TR
2012 NISSAN SENTRA. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO POOR MPG AND REQUESTS REIMBURSEMENT FOR VEHICLE. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED HE ONLY GETS 14 MPG.
I TOOK RECEIPT OF MY NEW CAR ON 9/22/12. ON 9/23/12, I NOTICED A PROBLEM W/ THE AUTO DIMMING MIRROR & THE SUN VISOR & EMAILED MY SALES PERSON. I SHARED THE AUTO DIMMING MIRROR & THE SUN VISOR ARE BOTH LONG - I CANNOT USE THEM AT THE SAME TIME. IF I TRY TO USE THE SUN VISOR, IT PUSHES THE MIRROR SO I CANNOT USE IT. I DRIVE INTO THE SUN GOING TO WORK & COMING HOME FROM WORK AND NEED TO BE ABLE TO BLOCK THE SUN & SEE OUT OF MY REAR VIEW MIRROR. THE SALES PERSON TOLD ME TO WAIT UNTIL I CAME IN FOR MY 1,000 MILE SERVICE APPT. I THEN EMAILED THE MANUFACTURER & SHARED THE SAME THING. I ASKED IF THEY HAD EITHER 1) A SHORTER VISOR THAT BLOCKS THE SUN BUT DOES NOT BUMP INTO THE AUTO DIMMING MIRROR, OR 2) A SHORTER MIRROR. I TOLD THEM WHEN MY APPT WAS WITH THE DEALERSHIP, HOPING TO GET IT RESOLVED AT THE APPT. THEY ALSO TOLD ME TO WAIT UNTIL MY APPT. I WENT TO MY APPT ON 10/20/12. THE SERVICE ADVISOR SHOWED NO CONCERN & SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE. HE THEN SNIDELY ASKED IF I USED MY "SIDE MIRRORS" WHEN I DRIVE. I SHARED WHAT HAPPENED WITH MY SALES PERSON ALONG WITH AGAIN EXPRESSING MY CONCERN ABOUT THE DESIGN FLAW & SAFETY ISSUE-ONE SHOULD BE ABLE TO USE THE SUN VISOR WITHOUT IT PROHIBITING THE USE OF THE REAR VIEW MIRROR. THE DEALERSHIP NEVER RESPONDED TO MY EMAIL. THE MANUFACTURER PERSON CONTACTED ME 10/29/12 & SAID THERE IS NO RESOLUTION TO MY PROBLEM. SHE OFFERED A $250 CREDIT FOR MY TROUBLES. I DECLINED THE CREDIT BECAUSE I SAID THE CAR STILL HAS A SAFETY ISSUE. I ASKED IF I PURCHASE A SMALLER MIRROR FROM THE AUTO PARTS STORE IF THEY WOULD INSTALL IT. THE PERSON SAID "NO" BECAUSE IT IS AFTER MARKET. I ASKED IF I HAD IT INSTALLED MYSELF WOULD IT VOID MY NEW CAR WARRANTY & WAS TOLD IT PROBABLY WOULD. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN BLOCKING THE SUN OR SEEING OUT OF MY REAR VIEW MIRROR. THIS IS DANGEROUS- ESPECIALLY IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN SENTRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME HARD TO MANEUVER WHICH PREVENTED HIM FROM TURNING THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MERGED TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD AND THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETECTED AND THE FAILURE MAY BE RELATED TO THE CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY RECALLS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,979 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 6,000. ....UPDATED 12/20/12 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TWO MILES WITH MUCH EFFORT WITH NO POWER STEERING TO A NISSAN DEALER. THE ADVISOR ADMITS HE SAW AND FELT THE WHEEL NOT TURN WITHOUT GREAT EFFORT AND THAT THE POWER STEERING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. NISSAN ADMITTED IN WRITING THE VEHICLE HAD CATASTROPHIC POWER STEERING FAILURE. THE POWER STEERING RETURNED AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF THEN ON AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS RELEASED BACK TO THE CONSUMER WITHOUT BEING REPAIRED. THE ADVISOR STATED THE VEHICLE MOST LIKELY HAD A BAD CPU. UPDATED 1/3/2013 *JS

SINCE PURCHASING THE CAR NEW IN 2012 UPON ACCELERATING AFTER FIRST STARTING AND GOING ABOUT HALF A MILE CAR MAKES A CLUNKING NOISE. DOES THIS ALL THE TIME AFTER FIRST STARTING AND TAKING OFF AND CAN BE FELT UNDER THE DRIVER'S SIDE FLOORBOARD WHEN IT HAPPENS. THE DEALERSHIP TOOK IT FOR A TEST RIDE AND SAID IT IS NORMAL IN SENTRA MODELS, BUT THEY NEVER CHECKED THE BUSHINGS TO DIAGNOSE THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM. IT COULD BE IN THE SUSPENSION, TRANSMISSION, OR THE DRIVE TRAIN. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN SENTRA. THE CONTACT STATED THE LOCK ON THE TRUNK OF THE VEHICLE WAS INOPERABLE DUE TO A GAP NEAR THE LOCK. THE REAR SUSPENSION MADE A CLICKING NOISE WHEN THE BRAKE OR THE ACCELERATOR PEDALS WERE DEPRESSED. THERE WAS ALSO A GRINDING NOISE AS THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED PREVENTING THE CONTACT FROM STOPPING THE VEHICLE AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO OCCUR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AT LEAST THREE TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,300 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 1,700.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER REPLACED THE REAR AXLE BUT THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE TRUNK WAS DEFECTIVE AND HAD AN OPEN SPACE ON THE LEFT SIDE WHEN CLOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR GASKET FAULTY ON THE 2012 MODELS, HAVE HAD IT REPAIRED 3 TIMES, LEAKS OIL ON TOP OF ENGINE, THE LAST TIME LOST ALMOST ALL OF OIL. I JUST PURCHASED A BRAND NEW OFF THE LOT 2012 NISSAN SENTRA IMMEDIATLY CALLED THE DEALERSHIP UPON LEAVING TOLD THEM THE ALIGNMENT WAS OFF THEY SAID TO BRING IT IN AND THEY WOULD REALIGN THE CAR, IN THE MEANTIME WHEN I APPLY THE BRAKES THE CAR WANTS TO KEEP GOING AND THROUGHS ITSELF INTO ANOTHER GEAR WHERE IT WOULD LUNG FORWARD, WHICH MEANS I AM HAVING TO PRESS ON THE BRAKES HARDER IN ORDER NOT TO BE THROWN INTO TRAFFIC. I TOOK THE CAR IN AND AT FIRST THEY COULD NOT DUPLICAT THE PROBLEM THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT IS THE TRANSMISSION THAT NEEDS TO BE REPALCED WHY IS IT A BRAND NEW CAR NEEDS A NEW TRANSMISSION??? NOW THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT THEY WILL EXTEND THE WARRANTY FOR ME REALLY! WOW WHY SHOULD THE WARRANTY BE EXTENDED WHEN I HAVE A BRAND NEW CAR I KEEP ASKING FOR A NEW SENTRA JUST SWITCH IT OUT MAKE LIFE EASY ON US ALL.
SEAT BELT CHIME ON VEHICLE DOES NOT WORK AS ADVERTISED IN OWNER'S MANUAL. CHIME IS SUPPOSED TO FUNCTION/SOUND TO LET DRIVER KNOW SEAT BELT IS UNFASTENED BUT DOES NOT WORK. NISSAN SAY THE CHIME IS UNIMPORTANT AND IT IS NO LONGER A FEATURE EVEN THOUGH IT IS ADVERTISED IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL TO WORK. I CONSIDER IT AN IMPORTANT SAFETY FEATURE TO ENSURE MY KIDS BUCKLE UP AND EXPECT IT TO WORK AS ADVERTISED. I WAS TOLD BY THE NISSAN SERVICE TECH'S AND SALES PERSON THAT IT CAN BE REPROGRAMMED BUT NISSAN ARE NOT WILLING TO DO THIS. I FEEL THIS FEATURE SHOULD WORK AS IT IS ADVERTISED AS WORKING AND IT'S AN IMPORTANT SAFETY FEATURE TO ENSURE DRIVER'S FASTEN THEIR SEAT BELT. NISSAN HAVE ALSO REFUSED TO RESPOND THROUGH EMAIL WITH AN EXPLANATION TO MY INQUIRY THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE. OTHER NISSAN MODELS HAVE THIS FEATURE WORKING. *TR
TL - THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN SENTRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED INTO DRIVE BUT INSTEAD, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO REVERSE. THE CONTACT HAD TO TURN THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY OFF IN ORDER FOR IT TO RESET AND RESUME NORMAL OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 484. KMJ
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN SENTRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED WHEN HE NOTICED THAT MICE WERE BUILDING NESTS INSIDE OF THE HEATER VENTS. AS A RESULT, THE BLOWER MOTOR FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND THE NESTS WERE CLEANED OUT FROM THE VENTS HOWEVER, MICE CONTINUED TO ENTER THE VEHICLE AND BUILD NESTS INSIDE OF THE HEATER VENTS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5.
THE CAR WHILE TRYING TO MAKE A SOFT STOP SUDDENLY COMES TO AN ABRUPT STOP. WHILE RELEASING THE BRAKE THE CAR SUDDENLY STOPS HARD AND CAUSES THE CAR TO LURCHES FORWARD. THE SYSTEM OF THE CAR SEEMS TO WANT TO STOP THE CAR HARD ON SYSTEMS OWN DECISION.
