THE TRANSMISSION WAS SLIPPING AND STOPPED WORKING. *TR
RANDOMLY THE CAR WILL REV, BUT NOT SPEED UP. THIS USUALLY HAPPENS GOING UP HILLS, RESULTING IN THE CAR NOT BEING ABLE TO MOVE, CREATING A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION, ESPECIALLY IF MERGING ONTO A HIGHWAY. THIS HAS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES NOW, AND WE'VE GARAGED THE CAR, WAITING TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION.
THE GEARS WILL NOT ENGAGE. THE CAR IS RUNNING, BUT WILL NOT ENGAGE ANY GEARS. THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT, OR ANY OTHER INDICATION THERE WAS A PROBLEM.
THE VEHICLE JERKS WHEN COLD AND TRANSMISSION STARTS SLIPPING WHILE DRIVING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN SENTRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, A GRINDING SOUND WAS COMING FROM THE TRANSMISSION. THE VEHICLE FAILED ACCELERATE AS DESIGNED. THE VEHICLE WAS EXAMINED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. AN UNKNOWN DEALER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED OR NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
I WAS DRIVING MY CAR THE FREEWAY AND ALL SUDDENLY MY CAR LOST POWER HAD TO GET OFF THE FREEWAY THE CAR CANT DRIVE AT ALL. *TR
On 4/29/2003 I had taken my car in for an oil change soon after leaving my car began to come to a stop I attempted to drive my car would hardly move fortunately I was able to make it back to the Valvoline oil change to have them tell me if my oil change was any way responsible after being given a reasonable explanation I was instructed to try and make it to a nearby auto zone i did they did a quick diagnostic I was told it was the pressure solenoid over the next week i reached out to any and everybody i even called Nissan headquarters spoke with someone that said I might qualify for a goodwill assist program, but I had to have the dealership perform a diagnostic testing I did, and found out i needed a transmission i had been driving with a faulty transmission, i am sometimes responsible for my mom to her doctor's appointment I was attempting to turn at a red light had enough time to turn car stalled in traffic which left me stuck in the middle of on coming traffic was finally able to avoid being broadsided my mom would surely have been hurt or worst no indication of having problem until it happened im sure their are others with similar issues im well aware car manufacturers will not have recall on anything that interferes with profit [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
APPARENTLY THE DEALER WHO SOLD ME THE CAR WITHOUT TELLING ME THAT IT WAS A PREVIOUS TOTAL LOSS AND NOW THEY REFUSE TO GIVE ME MY DOWN PAYMENT BACK.
We bought this vehicle brand new in 2016, and it seem to be a nice vehicle until it hit 30,000 miles. When we hit 30,000 miles in April 2020, the brake system failed, causing a passenger side collision, however, there were no injuries. Then in November 2020, the transmission went out. At that time we had to have the front brakes replaced as well. Then in May 2021 at 40,000 miles, we had to replace the front brakes again. In September 2021 at 50,000 miles, the front and rear brakes started grinding and needed replaced, which ended up having the ABS system, ABS module, brake lines, brake rotors, brake calipers, brake drums, and pads replaced. In February 2022 at 58,000 miles, while driving home, there was a loud bang from the front of the vehicle, the vehicle shuddered violently, had very little acceleration, and there was a large amount of white smoke coming from the back of the vehicle. Had the vehicle towed into the service shop, where they stated the engine block had thrown a rod through the engine. Had the engine replaced. Four days after the vehicle was returned, the front suspension collapsed on the tires. Had the front suspension replaced at 58,000 miles. August 2022, the transmission failed once again at 69,000 miles, and also had to replace the front brakes again. At 76,000 miles, in March 2023, had to once again replace front brake pads, rotors, and passenger caliper. No rear drums and pads need replaced. Vehicle ABS system is nonresponsive, ABS light is on once again, when, pressing the brake pedal, the vehicle does not stop just like when ABS system and module was replaced prior. Emergency brake does not work as well. I have contacted Nissan several times, to which I was told they would no longer service my vehicle. Now I am wondering what to do at this point.
FRIDAY 04/172020 AT APPROXIMATELY 515PM MINUTES AFTER PARKING MY CAR AT MY BOYFRIEND HOUSE AFTER TAKING MY COAT AND SHOES OFF ONE OF HIS NEIGHBORS KNOCKED ON THE DOOR TO LET ME KNOW THAT MY CAR WAS ON FIRE. POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED, THEY ARRIVED AND PUT THE FIRE OUT AND LET ME KNOW THAT IT APPEARED TO BE AN ELECTRICAL ISSUES THAT MAY HAVE CAUSED THE FIRE
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND MY ENGINE REVVED REALLY LOUD AND I NOTICED I STARTED SLOWING DOWN. I PRESSED THE GAS BUT MY ENGINE WOULD JUST REV IT WOULD NOT PICK UP SPEED. I EXITED THE HIGHWAY AND PULLED OVER AS THERE WAS QUITE A BIT OF TRAFFIC ON THE HIGHWAY. I WAS AFRAID THAT I WOULD BE HIT FROM BEHIND BECAUSE I COULD NO LONGER KEEP UP WITH THE SPEED OF THE TRAFFIC. WHEN I EXITED THE HIGHWAY I PUT THE CAR IN PARK. I TURNED OFF HE VEHICLE AND TURNED IT BACK ON AND TRIED PUTTING IT IN DRIVE AND IT WOULD NOT GO. I ALSO TRIED PUTTING IT IN REVERSE, BUT NOTHING HAPPENED MY ENGINE WOULD JUST REV.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN SENTRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AT START-UP, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AUTOMOTIVE AVENUES LOCATED AT 10701 W 6TH AVE, LAKEWOOD, CO 80215 TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR WAS CLEANED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. A NEW MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR WAS INSTALLED AND ENGINE CHECK LIGHT CAME ON, NOT LONG AFTER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. VEHICLE IS STILL PUTTERING AND HESITATION STILL ONGOING. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 68,000.*DT*JB *BF THE CONSUMER STATED A NEW MAF WAS INSTALLED BUT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON, ALSO THE VEHICLE STILL PUTTERS AND HESITATION. *TR
EVERY THREE MONTHS I AM CHANGING MY MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR IT HAVE TO BE A PROBLEM WITH THE SENSOR SYSTEM AND MY AIR CONDITIONING HAVE TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND ON FOR IT TO WORK PROPERLY. *TR
VEHICLE STARTED TO SURGE AND HOP AROUND WHEN DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. IT WOULD THEN RUN FINE AND THEN WOULD START TO DO IT AGAIN. WHEN AT A FREEWAY OFF RAMP THE VEHICLE WOULDN'T MOVE THEN IT WOULD LUNGE FORWARD AND THEN RUN NORMAL. WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY STATED THE CVT TRANSMISSION WAS BAD.

THE CONSUMER STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE MADE A POP NOISE AND TRANSMISSION FAILED AGAIN, STALLED WITH SEVERAL WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE CONSUMER STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED TWICE AT PERFORMANCE NISSAN LOCATED AT 1587 ROUTE 23, BUTLER, NJ 07405. VEHICLE ONLY OPERATES IN REVERSE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 63,991. *AS *LN*JB
THE 2ND CVT TRANSMISSION (11 MONTHS OLD) ON DAUGHTER'S 2015 NISSAN SENTRA WENT OUT JUST AFTER SHE GOT OFF THE FREEWAY ABOUT 7PM ON 1/26/2020. TOWED TO LOCAL REPAIR PLACE FOR DIAGNOSTIC; AFTER DIAGNOSTIC, WAS TOLD IT'S A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM AND TO TAKE IT BACK TO DEALER. DEALER SAID THEY CHARGE $150 FOR DEALER DIAGNOSTIC. DEALER HAS HAD SENTRA SINCE 1/27/20. AFTER TALKING WITH DEPT. MGR MIKE ON 2/6/20 (THERE 10 DAYS NOW), SERVICE ADVISOR SAUL SAID THERE WOULD BE NO CHARGE TO REPLACE THE 2ND TRANSMISSION WITH A 3RD ONE (1ST TRANS UNDER WARRANTY WAS REPAIRED 2/22/2019 AT COST OF $500+). ON 2/19/20 GOT A CALL FROM DEPT MGR MIKE WHO SAID TRANSMISSION #3 (ONLY 11 MONTHS OLD!) WOULD COST $4,500. THIS IS THREE CVT TRANSMISSIONS ON A FOUR YEAR OLD NISSAN SENTRA. SIGN ON DEALER'S WALL SAYS "REPAIR GUARANTEE FOR 12 MONTHS OR 12,000 MILES, WHICHEVER COMES LAST." NOTE "LAST." THE CVT TRANSMISSIONS SHOULD LAST LONGER THAN 11 MONTHS. THEY ARE DANGEROUS!
WHILE THE CAR IS ACCELERATING THE RPM DROPS AND THE CAR THEN JERKS BEFORE SHIFTING TO NEXT GEAR AND THIS ALSO HAPPENS WHILE TURNING. IF THE CAR IS LEFT SITTING FOR A PERIOD LONGER THAN 5 MINUTES THE RPM ACCELERATES KNOCKS AND CUTS OFF.

ADDITIONALLY, THE VEHICLE HESITATED TO ACCELERATE WHILE IN FIRST GEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LEE NISSAN LOCATED AT (4170 RALEIGH RD PKWY WEST, WILSON, NC 27896, (252)237-4400, TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
80,000 MILES AND THE TRANSMISSION BLEW! THIS IS NOT RIGHT. OUR AUTO SHOP TOLD US THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH NISSAN & OUR TYPE OF VEHICLE INVOLVING THE CVT TRANSMISSION. THIS SHOULD BE A RED FLAG THAT THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING. WE WERE DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON THE HIGHWAY AND IT WAS NOT ACCELERATING. VERY DANGEROUS. HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED INTO OUR LOCAL AUTO SHOP TO FIND OUT THE VEHICLE NEEDS A NEW TRANSMISSION! UNFORTUNATELY THE DEALERSHIP IS TELLING US THAT OUR VEHICLE IS NOT A PART OF THE CHRONIC FACTORY RECALL THAT HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH NISSAN FOR QUITE SOME TIME.
THE CAR STARTED JUMPING THEN SLOWED DOWN WHEN DRIVING UNTIL IT STOPED
I WAS ON MY WAY HOME FROM SAN DIEGO WHEN MY CAR WOULDN'T GO OVER 65MPH ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN I ACCELERATE IT HESITATES TO GO INTO GEAR AT TIMES AND MY WIFE PUT IT IN DRIVE AND IT WOULDN'T GO NO MECHANIC WOULD LOOK AT MY CAR BECAUSE THEY SAY IT'S A RECALL ON MY VEHICLE BUT THE DEALER IS SAYING IT'S NOT ON RECALL

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED NOR TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 74,000.
DRIVER SEAT BELT WARNING INDICATOR REMAINS ILLUMINATED ON DASH DESPITE SEAT BELT BEING PROPERLY ENGAGED BOTH DURING USE AND NWHILE PARKED. UNDOING AND RECONNECTING THE SEATBLET DOES NOT CORRECT THE ISSUE. ALL ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS ON BOTTOM OF DRIVER SEAT APPEAR INTACT.
A DELAY IN THE BRAKE APPLICATION WHILE GOING TO BRAKE, LENGTHENING THE BRAKE TIME WHICH INCREASES CHANCES OF CRASH.
WHEN BRAKING FROM HIGH SPEEDS THE CAR SHAKES AND DOES NOT WANT TO STOP. I PUT BOTH OF MY FEET ON THE PEDAL AS HARD AS I CAN. THIS HAPPENS UNEXPECTEDLY AND NOT ALL OF THE TIME. WHEN JUST DRIVING AROUND TOWN BREAKING IS FINE. NO SHAKE IN THE PEDALS. I TOOK IT TO A DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULDN'T FIND A CODE. I ALSO TOOK TO THE MECHANIC ( AFC CERTIFIED). THEY SAID MY PADS ARE AT 60% AND THE ROTORS WERE IN GOOD CONDITION.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN SENTRA. WHILE MAKING A U TURN, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED TO THE FLOORBOARD. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT STRUCK A PARKED VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO USE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT DROVE TO A POLICE DEPARTMENT TO FILE A REPORT. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ADVANCE AUTO WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ANTI-LOCK SYSTEM FAILED AND THERE WAS A BRAKE FLUID LEAK. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, WHEN STARTING THE VEHICLE AND DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL TO SHIFT INTO DRIVE, THE VEHICLE MOVED FORWARD AND STRUCK A WALL AT THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE WAS PUMPING THE BRAKE PEDAL, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,000.

SUBURBAN NISSAN OF TROY (1800 MAPLELAWN DR, TROY, MI 48084, (248) 649-2300) STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION MAY BE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE AND SUGGESTED TOWING THE VEHICLE TO THEIR FACILITY FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 108,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN SENTRA. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO LAG AND HESITATE. WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE AND BEGAN TO DECELERATE. THE CONTACT PARKED AT A FUEL STATION FOR FIVE MINUTES BEFORE DRIVING HOME. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO NAPOLI NISSAN (LOCATED AT 688 BRIDGEPORT AVE, MILFORD, CT 06460, (203) 877-5141) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 94,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN SENTRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE RUBBER SEALING AROUND THE REAR PASSENGER AND REAR DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOWS HAD COME OFF. ALSO, AFTER STARTING THE ENGINE, A HUMMING NOISE WAS PRESENT COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER AND BOBB BELL NISSAN (1 KANE ST, BALTIMORE, MD) WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
I HAVE A 2015 NISSAN SENTRA WITH A FAILED CVT TRANSMISSION. THE FAILURE HAPPENED SUDDENLY WHILE I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY, DOING AND AVERAGE SPED OF 65 MPH. DURING ACCELERATION, THE CAR WILL LURCH AND JUMP FORWARD LIKE IT'S LOSING POWER THAN GAINING IT BACK, IT SHIFTS EXTREMELY HARD AND WILL NOT GAIN SPEED UNLESS GOING DOWNHILL. WHILE PRESSING ON THE ACCELERATOR THE RPMS WILL BOUNCE BETWEEN 2K AND 6K RAPIDLY. THROUGH DOING RESEARCH I FOUND I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS ISSUE, THERE ARE SENTRA OWNERS WHO'S CAR HAS LESS THAN 60K MILES HAVING THE SAME ISSUE.
FUEL PUMP REPLACE 2 TIMES IN A MONTH STOPS RUNNING AT QUARTER TANK REMOTE LOCKS AND UNLOCKS CAR BUT KEY DOES"NT
WHILE DRIVING STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT. WHEN IT CHANGED TO GREEN STEPPED ON ACCELERATOR PEDAL WITH NO RESPONSE. BRAKE, OIL AND BATTERY LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. WAS ABLE TO SHIFT INTO NUTRAL AND PUSH VEHICLE TO A SAFE LOCATION. TURNS VEHICLE OFF, ATTEMPTED TO RESTART. VEHICLE TURNS OVER BUT WILL NOT START.
MY CAR WAS DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED MY 2015 NISSAN SENTRA WITH A CRACKED, LEAKING SENDING UNIT AT CONNECTOR, PLASTIC MOLD. THERE IS NO RECALL FOR THE 2015 SENTRA, BUT THERE IS FOR THE 2015 ALTIMA AND 2015 MAXIMA FOR THE SAME PROBLEM--A LEAK FROM THE SENDING UNIT. I FILED A CASE WITH NISSAN CORPORATION ON EITHER JULY 29 OR JULY 30, 2019 BUT AS OF TODAY, AUGUST 20TH, I CANNOT GET THEM TO CALL ME A WORK SO I MAY DISCUSS THE PROBLEM. THE LATEST RUNAROUND WAS A VOICEMAIL LEFT ON MY HOME PHONE TO CALL THEIR ARBITRATION AT 615-725-7670 BUT IT GOES TO A RING/NO/ANSWER. SO I CALL THE MAIN 800-647-7261 ON AN ENDLESS LOOP, NEVER BEING GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO DISCUSS MY CASE WITH ANYONE. THE MAIN CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ANSWERED BY RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE.
LETS START WITH THE SMALL STUFF FIRST: THE TRUNK WILL NO LONGER POP OPEN FROM THE BUTTON IN BACK OF THE CAR (ONLY FROM KEY AND INSIDE THE CAR), ALSO WILL TEND TO OPEN WHILE I AM DRIVING WHICH IS A SIGNIFICANT DRIVING HAZARD. THE HANDLE OF THE DRIVER DOOR IS BROKE, NO LONGER CAN I LOCK OR OPEN THE CAR FROM THE BUTTON ON THE DOOR. NOW TO THE UNSAFE AND BIGGEST PROBLEM OF ALL: TRANSMISSION/ENGINE ISSUES. ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS IN THE PAST YEAR MY CAR HAS STALLED OUT WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE CAR! NOT ONLY DID I GO TO THE DEALERSHIP NUMEROUS TIMES FOR THE SAME ISSUE BUT I ALSO HAD MY TRANSMISSION REPLACED (WHILE IT WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY) AND THE PROBLEM STILL CONTINUES. THIS IS AN ONGOING KNOWN ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE AND IT SHOULD ABSOLUTELY BE RECALLED IMMEDIATELY. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY NO ONE OF AUTHORITY HAS TAKEN RESPONSIBILITY FOR THESE HAZARDOUS ISSUES. IT IS COMPLETELY UNSAFE AND UNRELIABLE. I HAVE MANY VIDEOS DESCRIBING MY ISSUES ALONG WITH CONVERSATIONS WITH A NISSAN REPRESENTATIVE FROM HEADQUARTERS AND EMPLOYEES FROM THE DEALERSHIPS. I HAVE ALWAYS EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR (EVEN WITHIN THE FIRST COUPLE MONTHS OF PURCHASING IT). IT IS NOT ALLOWING ME TO ATTACH DOCUMENTS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHERE THEY CAN BE SENT!
I HAVE GONE THRU 3 TRANSMISSIONS IN LESS THAN 3 YEARS. 1ST WENT OUT AT 33K, 2ND WENT OUT AT 86K, AND THE LAST AT 148K. NISSAN CHARGED ME 800.00 FOR THE 2ND. NISSAN STATES I AM LIABLE FOR ALL CHARGES NOW. THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I'VE HAD THE WORK DONE HAS REPLACED OVER 1000 OF THESE TRANNYS. WHY? THEY ARE DEFECTIVE OR AT LEAST AN INFERIOR PRODUCT. A SEARCH OF YOUR SITE HAS GARNERED OVER 100 COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS PART IN MY YEAR AND MODEL ALONE. NISSAN STATED TO ME THAT IF I REPLACE IT THE WARRANTY WILL BE 12 MO OR 12K MILES. UPON FURTHER RESEARCH I FOUND THAT THIS PART IS PROPRIETARY TO THE VEHICLE, THERE IS NO OTHER REPLACEMENT PART! SALVAGE YARDS IN LAS VEGAS WILL NOT EVEN CARRY THEM. TO PUT A DIFFERENT TRANNY IN WOULD REQUIRE AN ENGINE AND ECM CHANGE. I ASKED ONE YARD WHAT THEY DO IF THEY GOT A VEHICLE WITH THIS TRANNY AND THEY STATED THAT THEY REMOVE THE TRANNY AND PART THE CAR OUT. IS THIS WHAT I'M FORCED TO DO? THE REALITY OF THIS PART FAILING AT SPEED ON THE HIGHWAY AND GETTING RUN OVER BY A SEMI TRUCK IS VERY REAL WITH DIRE CONSEQUENCES. I IMPLORE YOU TO LAUNCH AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE QUALITY OF THIS PART AND NISSANS BUSINESS PRACTICES.
NO POWER, NO SHIFTING GEARS, PULSATING, HOT SMELL, RPM GOES DOWN WHEN VEHICLE IS ACCELERATED, LOSS OF SPEED WHILE IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY AND ROADWAYS.
WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION AND AT ANY SPEED, WHEN PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL THE CAR WILL RANDOMLY AND WITHOUT WARNING LOSE ACCELERATION FOR AN UNKNOWN AMOUNT OF TIME EVEN THOUGH THE GAS PEDAL IS ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. THIS HAPPENS ON THE HIGHWAY AND ON ANY ROADS.
"TAKATA RECALL" THIS ISSUE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CURRENT RECALL. MY ISSUE IS REGARDING THE TRANSMISSION. INITIAL ISSUE HAPPENED PRIOR TO 50K MILES, ORIGINAL TRANSMISSION FAILED. REPLACED BY NISSAN, 2ND TRANSMISSION FAILED AT 96K MILES, NISSAN WANTED TO REPLACE AGAIN. REQUESTED THEY TAKE VEHICLE BACK. SAW LEMON LAW INFO SHOWING ISSUES FROM 2012 - 2018. FYI VEHICLE STOPPED 1ST TIME ON FREEWAY. 2ND TIME IN MIDDLE OF BUSY INTERSECTION BOTH TIMES HAD TO BE TOWED.
DTCS CODE PO101 KEEP COMING UP..IT SAYS REPLACE MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR... I GOT A SENSOR FROM THE DEALER....AND CLEAR THE CODE. AFTER A FEW DAYS OF DRIVING IT CAME BACK UP PO101. I FEEL LIKE VEHICLE IS NOT MOVING. MY FOOT IS ALL THE WAY DOWN ON THE GAS RPM IS AT 4000 AND IT NOT MOVING.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PAST 60MPH, ONCE I GOT OFF THE HIGHWAY THE CAR WOULDNT ACCELERATE PAST 20MPH AND THE RPM WOULD SHOOT TO 4,000!!! I ALMOST GOT HIT MAKING A TURN BECAUSE THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. THE CAR ONLY HAS 44,000 MILES ON IT WITH NO PREVIOUS MECHANICAL ISSUES.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME THE CAR WILL MAINTAIN A CERTAIN SPEED BUT THE RPMS WILL RAISE AND LOWER AND YOU CAN HEAR THE ENGINE REV UP AS IF IT IS ATTEMPTING TO CHANGE GEARS.

TAKATA RECALL MY TRANSMISSION HAS GONE TWICE IN 4 YEARS OF HAVING A BRAND NEW CAR. FIRST TIME WITHIN A MONTH. NO WARNING LIGHTS, NOTHING. BOUGHT THE CAR BRAND NEW DEC 2015, TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT 68K MILES, NISSAN REPLACED IT IN JAN 2018, AND NOW JUNE 2019 THE TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AGAIN ONLY 1.5 YEARS AFTER THEY REPLACED THE LAST TRANSMISSION. THE CAR IS ONLY 3 YEARS AND 7 MONTHS AND NEEDS IT'S 3RD TRANSMISSION. THE TRANSMISSION CAN GO OUT AT ANYTIME, IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED EVERY 1-2 YEARS. WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY THE RPM JUMPS UP AND DOWN, WHEN DRIVING ABOVE 60 MPH. IT'S VERY UNSAFE AND IT IS NOT RELIABLE.
THE CAR STARTED JUMPING THEN SLOWED DOWN WHEN DRIVING. CERTIFIED AUTO TECHNICIAN INDICATED THAT THE TAILLIGHTS ARE CAUSING THE PROBLEM. HE FOUND THE SAME PROBLEM IN OTHERS WHO WERE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM
THE CAR HAS A LITTLE LESS THAN 35000 MILES ON IT. WHILE DRIVING IT LOSES SPEED AND EVEN WHEN I PRESS THE PEDAL DOWN IT DOESN'T WANT TO MOVE. THE RPMS GO WAY UP BUT THE CAR IS VERY SLOW TO PICK UP SPEED. THE PROBLEM REALLY PICKED UP AFTER THE DEALER DID THE RECOMMENDED TRANSMISSION SERVICE. IT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES NOW.
NOTICED LACK OF POWER WHILE DRIVING CONSTANT KICK BACK ALMOST LIKE GOING OVER A RUMBLE STRIP WHEN ACCELERATING LOSS OF FUEL MILEAGE AND OCCASIONALLY A SOUND LIKE A BIRD CHIRP IF GOES ABOVE 2000 RPM. HAPPENS ON CITY OR HIGHWAY ROADS. NO LIGHTS ON THE DASH OR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON. TOOK MY 2015 SENTRA TO NISSAN TO FIND OUT WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED EVEN THOUGH SEVERAL YEAR MODELS FROM 2003-2010 HAVE FAULTY CVT TRANSMISSIONS EXPANDING TO WARRANTY BUT 2015 ISN'T INCLUDED.
THE VEHICLE HAS SO MANY DEFECTS!! THAT I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN?!?; BUT FIRSTLY I WANT MY MONEY BACK FOR THE EXORBITANT EXPENSIVE INTEREST RATE THEY CHARGED ME...!!! THEN THEY ADDED MY DEPOSIT INTO THE TOTAL COST INSTEAD IT SUBTRACTING IT FROM MY TOTAL!!!?? THE UPHOLSTERY INSIDE US COMING UP FROM THE FLOOR ALMOST MONTHS INTO THE PURCHASE. THE DEFROST DOESN'T WORK..THE ELECTRONIC PART THAT AFFECTS THE AUTOMATIC DOOR ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE; THE DOOR WONT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE PASSENGER! THE PEDAL AREA WHERE THE CARPET IS COMING UP. .IS EXPOSING THE UNDERNEATH OF CAR SAME WITH OTHER AREAS BUT FLOORING CARPET IS EXTREMELY LOOSE, AND EXPOSING WIRES. THE DRIVING ELECTRONIC FEATURE FOR WINDING ROADS IT KEEPS COMING ON AND WON'T SHUT OFF; I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED!!!! IT TURNED ON MULTIPLE TIMES ON FREEWAY SLOWING ME DOWN & I TURNED THE BUTTON.ON THE FEATURE ...IT STILL WOULDN'T TURN.OFF...!!!, THE WIPERS ARE NOT WORKING WELL AT ALL AND HAVEN'T SINCE I FIRST BOUGHT THE CAR. THE DRIVER'S SIDE PANEL THAT HAS CONTROL OF WINDOWS AND UNLOCK..IT IS COMING OFF ALREADY!!! I DON'T HAVE ANYONE IN THE CAR BUT ME SO IT'S DEFINITELY NOT ME!
TAKE IT A DEALER , THEY SAID IS THE TRANSMISSION,BUT WHERE I BOUGHT IT, THEY DON'T WANT TO HELP ME, I BOUGHT INSURANCE 3 YEARS OR 35000 MILES, I HAVE 120000 MILES, I STILL PAYING THE CAR,IT COULD BE A RECALL CAR??IT'S ON THE STREET.
